Hello all,
back from a long and fantastic weekend in Firenze - the home of Panerai!
Sorting out the photos I took there, trying to express great moments of fun and pleasure of which we had heaps of, you bet...!
Thursday morning 6:20 am and ready to pick up wingman "P61".
One day before, Hammer sent me a teaser in shape of a wrist band,
which another Aussie mate was bringing for all P-DAY members to Firenze. Thanks, mate!
At the airport we met Ralf (from the german paneraiforum.de) and his wife Marion.
We took the same plane, smooth flight, and also the bus from Pisa airport to Firenze was just about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Graham (rolpaner) was with us in the bus too, so it was near that the party gonna get started soon...
After a quick check in at the Hotel we were heading to the Pizza San Giovanni.
What a fantastic view - "we're back!"
This photo's faces perfectly express what P-DAY is about:
"meeting the people" Diego Gabathuler from Switzerland and Nicholas Owen Richardson from the UK.
Just infront of the Panerai Boutique more and more paneristi were fleeding in:
Nad and Houda welcome Robert, Max on the right.
Nad was introducing J-F to Houda infront of David Worland from Australia.
Respect and thanks to all long distance travellers - you are making P-DAY so special!
Our P-DAY record holder Patrick from belgium, an "old timer" who joined EVERY P-DAY
(...and always with another Panerai watch - what a flipper he is - LOL!!)
Hagen Warich (left) and Gary Friedell (right) were with us too. The piazza became pretty crowded now by members of the "203 club"...
Ron Welldon (The Lonan Ranger) was giving a short Golf lesson ("sittin' on a bar chair") to Diego.
Eng Tay and Graham Denton were discussing infront of the Cappelle Medicee, which was intensive enlighted by the sun on that thursday afternoon.
Davie "90210" Lee and John Sim, members of the "203 club"
The "lot beer warning" went up from stage 3 to stage 2. LOL!!!
Another table - Leentje and Frank from Belgium, together with Ron, Patrick and Frank, waiting for the next round of drinks to be served.
Still fleeding in... time after time other tourists left the bar and our early travellers filled up the seats. Paul (Polleke) from Belgium on the left.
Now the big calibers were coming - camera related

... Jay Pulli - the man behind the camera!
Frank and Monique Franzese from Down Under - a pleasure that you were with us!
Gary and J-F on the right, some cheap tripods for sale on the left
Nad and Houda from Canada, thanks for coming the long way over to us too!
Hagen, Nad and yours truly - thumbs up for a great start up in Firenze!
Thanks for looking, more to come very soon...
Cheers,
Volker
