Hi all,
find my line up of the activities of last friday in Florence.
After the start up on thursday, we had the friday morning free
for everyone to discover Firenze on their own.
The view from our hotel room to north. We were very happy with
the weather conditions all over the long weekend in Firenze!
After a short breakfast we took a few minutes walk to get back to the Piazza.
Streets and places were still in the shadows of the huge historic buildings.
Chariots were waiting for their first customers between the Battistero San Giovanni and the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore.
"Early birds" Hagen, Ralf and Jens from Germany.
Belgians were checking their gear (cameras and sunglasses) for the walk.
Nice view of San Lorenzo, built in the year 393, followed by further additions in 1059 and 1418 (!)
Palazzo Vecchio - waiting to be visited by us on saturday.
A view from the Ponte Vecchio to east. On the hills Piazzale Michelangelo, which we went up later for the great view over Firenze.
Back at the Panerai Boutique, more paneristi arrived from their discovery tour:
Aurelio, Jay, Sainthan, Scoopster, Guillermo behind Frank, Asi, Ron and Graham.
Nad discovered Ron Woorts' cool watch box. I guess from his look that Aurelio was quite impressed...

Frank, Raffaele and Buffalo Tom were watching it too.
Edith and Martin "Nikon" Wilmsen, together with Gert-Jan from the Netherlands.
We were about 55 persons this friday afternoon and ready to take a walk to the next meeting point before the Cocktail.
We crossed the famous Ponte Vecchio ...and of course THE BIFF WAS BACK!
After a 40 minutes walk on that sunny friday afternoon, this fantastic view over Firenze was waiting for our group.
On the left Rob Montana and his wife were focussing the bag on the ground, while on the right Ron was chatting with triathlon finisher Kristi.
David (Australia), Ron and Graham (UK) together with Guillermo from the US.
We enjoyed the sunset a lot and after chatting around we went down the hill to follow Simona di Stefano's invitation for a cocktail at her house...
...which appeared more than a castle as a house!
Marion, Thomas and Victoria Pabst, together with Hagen Warich from Germany.
The frontyard was willed up with our group, enjoying the wonderful Cocktail.
Nad was introducing his new memory card for his camera. He told Jay and David that it is the newest model from Cyberdyne Systems...
...that new t800 chip should hopefully have enough memory to store ALL his future photo trips - LOL!!!
Gert-Jan and Guillermo from the Netherlands.
Eric came the long way from Hong Kong, The Lonan Ranger came from the Isle of Man / UK and Davie Lee from California - hats off, mates!
Christian Hollenberg, Hagen Warich, Eng Tay and Loris Pasetto.
Peter and Martin from Denmark, Sainthan from the UK in the middle.
Kristian Haagen (Double Asshat Award Winner), Nad and Patrick aka "the flipper".
Let me just repeat our thanks to Simona, which opened the doors of her home for us.
It was a wonderful evening which we will keep in mind as a fantastic time.
Thanks for looking and stay tuned for part 4.
Cheers,
Volker
