Hello all,

I'll continue my P-DAY report with the activities of last saturday, september 26th.

Firenze, 8:05 am.
I woke up early enough to catch the sunrise on our hotel's roof garden.

After a nice shopping trip thru Firenze's streets we arrived at the Piazza della Signora, meeting other paneristi.
Graham, Christian and Donnie and others came to meet before the welcome at the Palazzo Vecchio, wich Simona arranged for our group.

Lined up and ready to pass the security check at the Palazzo, built in 1296-1299 and after several modifications it appears like in 1588.
Impressive building - it was fantastic to be able to get a tour aside the normal tourists route!

After the city authorities welcomed our group, we went into the "hall of the 500" with huge wall paintings, roof construction and sculptures.

Outside we were chatting and sharing our impressions of this great happening.
Our group was around 75 persons, ready to walk back to the Piazza, where we met other paneristi for the next event.

Just before our meeting for the grup picture, a historic parade arrived at the Piazza.

Some panerista catched bottles of red wine (check Kristian's winning pose after he got his one, hehe)

More and more people were arriving...

Well, you may know these four german Panerai freaks... wink.gif

Jay Pulli took the group picture, which you can find in his photo coverage here on paneristi.com
To get a better position, we asked the Panerai boutique staff for a ladder, which was a good support... happy.gif

It was fantastic to bring so many people together at the place which every Panerai collector knows so well. Surely something to remember...!

Thanks for looking and stay tuned for the final report.

Cheers,
Volker
