OT. Italy home of Panerai : )

So it's cold and wet here in the UK and i'm goin through some pix from our august trip to italy last year .

Thought you might like a look ...

We flew (delayed) into Palermo and missed our train to taormina !!! great ..



Palermo is well know for mafia problems and it was interesting but we were glad to leave .






Taormina , stayed for a few days..

Then up to Salerno and the amalfi coast, nice and relaxed this is from the top of a new hotel




Amalfi and Positano been loads of times but we still love this place





Fast forward through Rome ...

To ...




I might look bored but im not


Then we checked out Parma


Mmmm Ham...


Expensive ham...

Cool bike...


And bologna, good for shopping and old buildings






I can't goto northern italy without goin to Ferrari

All the places around here are hiring ferrari's now.

A few years back i drove a 430 for 80 euro off some crazy guy who was making a fortune.
Now it's all legit and expensive and with all the paperwork no one's buying !


The new italia. last year this wasn't even announced, hence the camo..

Then Santa Margherita...
Forget the name of this hotel but it was very nice, best one we've stayed in here..




Unfortunately the miss St Margherita comp was on ... oh hum !!!...







Not sure but i think the one on the left won ..... i was blind by then


Portofino












San Fruttuso . we've been to portofino so many times and only just discovred this is the next boat stop!!




Awesome for swimming and passing the time


And finding Panerai's !










Next day and we we're off to vist the cinque terre ( sounds much nicer than the five towns !)




The train on the way was a pain in the ass.
So on the way back we went by boat ( missed it on the way their )



And can you belive it ! we get pulled for speeding ...

It took a while but i didn't mind , i was busy checking out the chicks onboard !!!

Back to st. Marg...

Next day Turin (we'er flying back out of here)

The fiat factory with a test track on the roof ! Well i thought it was cool






Turin was a bit of an anti climax.
It's nice in winter, good shopping , GOOD food ect, but it was dead (italian august holidays)
