This is my 3rd post with live pictures taken at the SIHH.
In case you have missed the first two, you can view the post about the 449 SLC 47mm SE here and the one about the 448 California 3 Days SE here.

PAM 396 LUMINOR 1950 TOURBILLON GMT CERAMICA - 48 MM

I didn't get to take that many photos of this amazing watch, it was very much in demand at the SIHH.

The PAM396 has a 48mm ceramic 1950 style case, a domed crystal (like the 127/233 etc) and a black sandwich dial.
The movement is the in-house Panerai P.2005/B with the functions hours, minutes, small seconds, 2nd time zone, am/pm indicator (for the 2nd time zone) and a tourbillon indicator.

As you can see in the below photo, this tourbillon indicator is not the typical OP single dot at the 9 o'clock position. Five ecru dots - from large to small - are used instead. The dots spin to indicate that the tourbillon is rotating.

The Luminova is also ecru. It seems that Panerai are moving away from green Luminova since the introduction of the 360, but who knows what future models will bring.

The watch has a crystal case back, and the case back ring is titanium. The case ring has the text "titanium case back" as you can see below.

The hand-wound movement has a power reserve of 6 days. The power reserve indicator can be seen on the back of the watch.

A better look at the tourbillon...

The sequence below (view clockwise) shows the tourbillon in various positions while it's working/rotating...

And one last closer look and the sandwich dial...

There are other OP tourbillon watches (eg the 276, 306, 315, 316 and perhaps others that I can't recall).

Thanks for looking,
