Finally brought home a PAM - and surprised myself

I've been lurking for a looooong time. Now I finally got me a PAM. Sadly, it's a birthday present from my wife - no, that's not sad, I know - the sad thing is, that my birthday is not until august.

I surprised myself a bit. Last year I put my name down for a 386, but that wont come out any time soon, and I don't think im likely to get one in the first batch.

So I started looking for something else. My criterias: Sandwich dial, date, inhouse movement, light, and with a domed crystal. Of course that don't exist, but the 351 comes pretty damned close. Would have liked a power reserve on the back as well.

Then my family and I went to Barcelona, to see my brother in law, and I came home to Denmark with a new watch in my bag.

I finally ended up with a ... 212!!!

Not much of the above, actually, it met none of my criterias at all, except for the crystal, so I ended up with more or less the exact opposite of what I was looking for. Why? It just sang to me, as it did back when I was turning the pages in my first Panerai catalogue.

So now I'm counting the days and looking forward, to feeling 100% Risti!


There's watches, and there's time-telling devices. Wether you notice the difference is a question of passion!
