First off, the fact that Jim Rockney asked me to do this kind of blew me away. I was hesitant because I had felt I had not earned the right to be asked to do this. But in Jrocks words, Old Guard, New Guard, Crown Guard who cares, go for it. Ive become friends with a lot of people through this site and like Hammer says, So much More than just a watch. Just the fact that a lot of the long time Ristis have been so cool to me, has blown me away. I know theres a ton of people that have been a part of this site way longer than me and probably should have been asked. But as Ive always been a guy that siezes opportunity, Ill give this D.I.D. a crack and tell you guys a little about my world in the process.

Alarm never rang this morning, I am once again late for work. Having problems deciphering the difference between A.M and P.M when setting the alarm.

I have 18 minutes to get 27 miles. Theres no way my car will get me there.
(By the way this is a historic moment on Paneristi as the steering wheel is not made by a german.) wink.gif Hey, its a Ford Fusion, oh and besides it being a great car, its free. (Work car).

At that moment, Im rattled, not because Im late, but because I wont be able to listen to this:

So I change my plans for a second and think maybe I can make it to work on time after all, as this is sitting in my garage. Since this is going to be a Mission Impossible, its only fitting that I have Tom Cruises Triumph Speed Triple.

I should be able to ride it faster than him though. I dont have the extra weight of that Panerai bezel protector.

Just when I thought I would have to ride to work like Valentino Rossi, a fellow Risti hit me up on Facebook. His names Peter Fruehling and hes a pilot. Since I live in the middle of farmland, he said he would be able to pick me up and get me to work on time.

Pete, insisted on showing off his acrobatic skills and my stomach couldnt take it. As we were going over a small island, I bailed on him and grabbed these things for my island stay:
2 Watches, 2 songs, 1 book, 1 movie, 1 photo, 1 memory, 1 meal and 1 person.
2 watches? Real tough question. This Panerai thing lends itself to never settling on just one piece. Ive only owned 3 Panerais (so far). I will never get rid of my 111. I just love this watch. Probably get a 390 soon, but definitely keeping this.

My other love, Rolex. Submariners, GMTs, love em. I currently have the newer Sub ceramic. This thing keeps the most accurate time of any watch Ive ever owned. Classic look, iconic etc.

2 songs, Ill change it to 2 albums:
Pink Floyd, The Wall. So many different styles of music on just 2 discs.
[linked image]
Guns & Roses Live 87 to 93. The last great live album. This album is special to me for so many reasons. I was, and still am a big fan of Axl Rose. I had the pleasure of getting punched by him in the face about 4 seconds before the back of this album was shot. Yes, thats me under his left armpit with my pie-hole wide open like a dope.

1 book, The Bible, but it would have to be a Podcast as I have the attention span of a goldfish when I have to read.
1 movie? Really? Cant do it, I have a 3 way tie. I can watch these movies over and over, I always find something new. I know theyre typical but I like what I like.

1 photo. Yeah Im too indecisive for that.
My wife, beautiful, cool, great Mom and great friend, grown in Colombia. I dont deserve her.

She was smoking hot when I started dating her.

And still is.

1 memory, not easy, the birth of my two little redheaded boys,
[linked image]

And this pic of my Dad and Mom before I was born, my poker skills were obviously inherited. I like to remember my Dad this way.

1 meal: This one is easy. Its a meal thats not on the menu if you ever go to Fairbanks Steakhouse at the Hollywood Casino. Its called Samson & Delilah, its a huge Filet Mignon and Lobster. I have travelled across the globe, I lived in Europe for 2 years, East Coast, West Coast. Ive never had a better meal.

1 person. My wife Giovanna, its been nothing but great since I married her 11 years ago. I definitely out-kicked my coverage. Shes perfect.

Probably not enough watch content so Ill end this post with this. Ive made some great friends on P.com and hope to get out to a Pday or GTG soon and meet all the people that I message with on a daily basis. While I was trying to figure out how to do this D.I.D. I went through all of the archived previous one's. There were a lot of great content, but one of them really got my attention. It was Nachos. I came across a great pic on Nachos archived D.I.D. Thats some collection! He called it the Panerai Baguette.

Since Im just a kid from Jersey that now lives in Chicago. Heres my rendition of my own collection. On a Hot Dog bun of course. Mr. Wilmsen, please dont be jealous of my photography skills. wink.gif My collection is a humble one and I appreciate the opportunity to share it with you guys.
