Started my search for a new piece about a month ago as a Birthday present to myself. Never was too familiar with the brand, but a good friend said take a peek at Panerai. He knew what I already had in my watch stable (Rolexes, Patek, Piaget and Vacheron) and thought it would be a nice complement. It's been a fun ride learning about the history and brand since then too. Fortunate also to find such a keen and passionate group of watch lovers like Paneristi Bros here
The journey started by looking at the 312 and almost walking away with that model. Hours after trying the 312 on and walking out to mull the decision, my AD called and said I needed to take a look at something called a 372. I'd come to find with due diligence that the 372 had a bit of an iconic following. I told the AD to tag the 372 when it came in and I'd get first right of refusal.
Well, tried it on this am, and to no shock, walked right out with a new watch! The 47mm sits on your wrist so comfortably and in no way seems too large, for me
So journey complete and an honored member of the Panerai family. Here's some quick snaps with the iPhone. More pics later from studio
The famed box
On the counter and decision time. Hardly a decision to be honest...LOVE!
