I got a cat when I was four... fast forward to 2001 and 29 years later and she was still healthy albeit completely deaf and only one long canine remaining... Mum moved after selling the house finally after my father passed away... so what does she do? to simplify the move she had her put down!! Jeez it wasn't like she was into doing neighborhood rounds... would have been happy to just sit under a bush sunning herself... a few more years and she would have been a Guinness book candidate...!!!
