for accepting payment for P-Day NYC as gifts. Given the volume I received, PayPal believed I was a vendor of some sort and I now can no longer accepts payments as "gifts".

I believe they also use some sort of filer in the notes/subject line that can raise red flags alerting them that the funds aren't intended as true gifts.
