Great gesture Hammer!
I initially got into Panerai because of its fascinating history and given that I can't realistically see myself owning a true vintage at this point in time, I like to acquire pieces with a strong connection to the past.
My next piece will be the 720/721 that's a homage to the 3646 Type C/D. Blue hands + radiomir case + wire lugs just ooze Panerai DNA!
My current and only piece is the 673, which is a carbon copy (except for the Reg TM on the crown guard) of the 6152/1 MM.
When I put it on some of the finest vintage leather that was crafted with vintage tools using vintage techniques and tighten that big chunky GPF buckle...it takes me back to all those stories I've read of the frogmen and reminds me of why I love this brand so much!
