I haven't stayed there yet, but...

booked a room at the Royal Sporting hotel in Portovenere for a couple of nights in late September. It's right by the water and looks pretty nice.

Let me know what you find out since I'm open to switching if you find something good!

Monterosso

July 6 2009, 4:08 AM

Hi Manu,

I was in Cinque Terra a month ago and stayed in Monterosso (I like it best among the five villages). My fiancee and I stayed in a B&B by the name of Il Parco. Host was very nice, and some of the rooms had a great view. But do bear in mind that the B&B is located up on the hill and requires abt 10-15 min walk/hike up but what you get is peace and tranquility with a fantastic view.

The website is here:

Good luck and have a great trip!

Levanto

July 6 2009, 3:26 PM

I just got back last week where I had the best time and best hotel.... I drove so I stayed in Levanto which has a bit more room for me to park and leave my car. The Hotel Stella Maris was wonderful, the people were great and the rooms were beautiful with painted fresco's on the ceilings. Levanto is one 2minute train from Monterosso so the location was perfect. Let me know if you need anything!
