I have a 233i that was overhauled 1.5 years ago. I had to send it in again due to the PR getting stuck between 0 and 1. I thought PR problem is aesthetics design and it would be covered regardless of warranty, but the Service Center is charging me for a complete overhaul.
1. If overhauled 1.5 years ago, is there still warranty on that?
2. If allowed, may I ask for what others have paid for an overhaul?
3. Is it not true that PR problems are covered even if out of warranty?
I would think that a case could be made to Panerai that this early design problem should be fixed by them even out of warranty since it is a known problem that should have been addressed in the first overhaul. The question is why did it work for a year and a half? Panerai can possibly argue that it was correctly fixed and now there is possibly a different problem requiring a new overhaul. Personally I would try to reach some compromise if possible as two services in such a short period is not reasonable and Panerai should take some responsiblity even if they only warranty the work for one year.
