I bought my first pam in February. A 177. I love it. It get far more wrist time than my Planet Ocean and Steelfish. However, I have become a bit curious, and this is where you guys (hopefully) come into play happy.gif

Could you please educate me on my 177? What is the rationale/history behind using titanium in stead of steel? And what about the OP XI movement; is it durable? Reliable? Easy to service? How does it age? Other info about 177 is also very welcome.

Thanks

Have a 176 now for years

My daily wearer and I Love how these watches
make most any strap look great.

The Ti is easy to remove scratches from (if you wish) I don't
and it darkens nicely over time.

try a colored strap (red is my fave)

Cheers and you will love your 177

177 - Perspective on the case ->

April 10 2012, 9:33 PM

IMHO it's mostly a matter of what a Ti case looks like over time vs. a steel case. It's not better or worse just different. It tends to become an understated flat gray that some like and some don't. I personally love the look of a dirty (aged) Ti case which is why I chose a 177 for one of my first PAM's.

Congrats on your 177!!! Looking forward to some pics on Watch Wednesday!
