Hey guys, I know this might seem silly but your input will help make my decision that much easier. I currently own a 111j, 233k, and Pam 24k. I'm looking to purchase a watch I have had my eyes on for years but in order to do so I'm looking to sell one of my panerai's. It's either going to be my 111 or 233 I know they are totally different watches, but overall have a lot of the same characteristics. As much as I love the 233 and it's domed crystal I keep getting drawn back to the simplicity of the 111. What do you guys think the smarter decision would be ?
Thanks
Francesco
I would keep the 233 as I need the GMT. Well "need" is a stretch, but it comes in handy as I live in Tokyo. If you don't need the functionality of the 233, I would stick with the 111.
You do realize financially the 233 and 111 would be quite far apart in rendering capital.
Based on your logic ......... Why not take the lesser 'hit' and sell the 111J? You can always get it back later if you see the need.
If that doesn't convince you, take a gander at some of Martin's pics of the 233.
If that is the case, then keep the 24 and 111 and sell the 233. 233 vs 111 isn't fair price wise or complication wise. Personally, the 233 never did it for me. Did you ever think of selling all of them and buying a 372 with money left over?
Thanks guys for all of your responses. I'm going to keep the 24 because I always want a sub in my collection. I've bought and sold my fair share of watches in my life, but for some reason this is one of the hardest decisions I've had to make. I'll let you guys know what decision I ended up doing and take a pic of whatever watch I end up keeping . Thanks again everyone who provided some input.
I'd keep the 111, move the 233. It'll free up more money for you to fund your next watch and you will still be very happy, right? I think that's a win-win.
