I have had a br01 and br02 both wear smaller than you think. Certainly alot smaller than a pam 312 for instance. I found the quality average better on the br01. On the br02 the rubber strap snapped and constantly cracked due to design , I had a piece of lume break off and the finish seemed very prone to scratching but I got both at close to a 45 percent discount and got most of my money back when I sold them.
In conclusion I would get a br01 as it is more iconic and a bit of fun but high end watch manufacture it isn't .
PVD version looks great but pvd comes off if you are breathing in the same room, looks great though but don't pay more that 50 to 60% rep because if you don't get on with it you will get less than half your money back otherwise. MY ADVICE don't do it, it doesn't have the same presence as a pam, its just a fun watch that you could equally get spending much less on say a stein hart etc.
great watches, i have both a BR 01 92 PVD , i have owned it since 06 , and i picked up a BR 02 with carbon fiber dial this past december. . i love my Bell & Ross just as much as my Panerai.
I have 4... bought most of them for 35% off and at that price I think they are great bang for the buck. Quality on the 02 seems better than on the 01... love them all though.
