I am changing my direction in watch collecting and would like some opinions.
My new collection will contain the following:
Omega Moonwatch 3750.50 or 3752.50 or 3753.50
IWC FA Jones Steel or Rose Gold, probably Rose as a dress watch.
Most, but not all are hand wound, no date, 40mm+
I have tried to concentrate on Iconic examples of each brand.
My reasoning is this.
Having a stable of Auto watches seems a bit pointless, because by the time I get around to wearing them all they need to be "Reset" so to speak. Of course by time, but also by "Date" and perhaps "Day"
I want to enjoy the interaction of the manual winds by keeping them alive(make sense?).
I own the Stowa and 6105 and 372. Currently bidding on an Omega and will buy an IWC when funds permit.
i know the Seiko is Auto and has a date, but what better example of a Divers can you think of.
Possibly a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms no date but its still an Auto, the Rolex 14060 is too small for my liking.
Do you know of any other ICONIC manual wind Divers Watches?
Would YOU rather have a 190 or 372 in your collection (they both sing to me)
