Well... The sickness has officially began. This is the first strap for my Pam 390. I found this great Greg Stevens strap being offered from a fellow Paneristi on an auction site and was sure it would pair perfectly. I put it on Friday night and have been loving it all weekend. Ok, so the sad part is I am already looking for another (Shark!) Cheers!

Having contracted strap fever recently I can only say.....

June 13 2012, 9:49 AM

The symptoms continue for prolonged periods with the only cure being frequent visits to Risti & Paypal websites. Having hit the 'send payment' button symptoms subside only to be replaced with nervous anxiety waiting for the strap to arrive. In the meantime the compulsion to continue trawling strap sites and the accessories forum (much to the annoyance of spouse and dependents) returns with a vengeance.

On strap receipt an immediate strap change frenzy ensues, new straps become favourites, however, with an increase in strap purchases the 'which is favourite feeling' becomes confused. The inverse square law for satisfaction starts to set in, and straps changes become more frequent. And then just when you thought you had found the perfect shade of old ammo leather, you see another which is a subtle shade lighter or darker, which you are convinced would look sllightly better than the one you purchased yesterday.

At its peak strap fever can cause, strap blindness! This occurs when you are convinced that the weirdest of combos will actually look good, you will know when this happens when your 8 yr old daughter makes the comment, 'what were you thinking when you to bought that Dad'

Then you buy a rad, and realise that you have to start re-purchasing all your favourite 24/24s straps in 27/24 and ( just to be on the safe side) 26/26 as well..........

Good luck.
Paul
