My thoughts are with you...
The details of your mother's illness are not really important at the moment but the memories of when she was healthy are...
As the inevitable draws nearer, just take comfort in the knowledge that you & your family at least had time to know her & remember her.
I am the person I am today because of my parents- largely due to mum...the most, caring, wonderful, patient & funny lady, loved & admired by many & missed terribly by all of us closest to her.

You'll have days when you'll cry & ask many questions- but I'd like to think there's a plan for us all...there has to be.
One thing I've realized is that you don't always have to be strong, it's OK to fall in a heap, just surround yourself with people who love you & can be there for you when you need them. Also nothing wrong with needing to spend some alone time.

My mother was diagnosed, treated, regressed and succumbed to cancer within 6 months- she was 68. She passed away on May 30th, surrounded by my father, brother & our small families.
Although still very raw, I think I'd be unbearable to go through something like this if you had no-one to lean on & also support at the same time.
A tear fills my eyes as I write this, but know that my heart-felt feeling & thoughts go out to you.
Even though I've never met you & am still to buy my first PANERAI, things like this transcend all those material things we seem to think are so important.
Just know that I am here embracing you & whispering, "it'll be alright, you'll be OK"....
