Hi to all Paneristi,

I ' m about to pull the trigger for one from the above
models.
Now the problem is that both watches are really stunning but
cannot decide...
OP II and OP XI are they same? Do the have any problems?
Accuracy? Reliability;

Thanks in advance to all of you
Dimitris

They are basically the same watch, with an ETA-based movement

I prefer the 111 because it has the sandwich dial and display caseback

Bear in mind that neither of these watches hack i.e. the hands keep moving when you pull out the crown to set the time

I went with the 111

I had the same conundrum a couple of years ago. The 005 was a little cheaper and why I was leading towards it. In my heart I had a feeling that I would regret it in the long run. To me the OP logo on the dial is a little busy. The sandwich dial also gives some added depth and dimension (pops a lot when you are outside) and shows some of the original DNA of panerai. Finally, I think exhibition cases are just cool and gives you something the look at when bored at a meeting, also a cool conversation piece. My two cents.

005 all the way!

005 all the way! It has a filled sandwich dial, a logo, and a solid case back. It is more historically correct than the 111.

Actually, the 005 dial is painted not filled

Really?

Really? My misunderstanding. How about the 000, 390, and 367 then?

I believe they are all painted, as opposed to the 'dug out and filled' type

Interesting!

Thanks for pointing out. That's the interesting part of Panerai. I learn something new everyday. By the way, the BBQ360 is also painted then?

Not sure about the 360 - it does look quite 'sausage' -like; I suppose it could be etched/filled

It's difficult to be definitive about panerai dials - on some models (111 for example) the dials started off painted and then later changed to sandwich

Therefore, I am ready to be corrected regarding dial types! ; )

It does look very sausage like and so does my 367.
