I have a question about the 9001 movement in my PAM371. Let's say I have the watch in my case and haven't worn it a few days and there is no power left in the movement. After setting the time and date, how much winding should I give the watch? I've noticed that if I give it just a few turns (enough to clear the red in the power reserve indicator) and then put it on, I will lose power in less than the 3 days that the movement should be able to store. Said another way, is there anything wrong with winding it until it gets pretty tight and then strapping it on? Is there any risk that by doing this and then moving my wrist when wearing the watch that I could "overwind" it and damage the movement? I seem to recall that the owner's manual says something about giving it "a few" turns. Thanks all!
Thanks. I also just realized that when I am at the office and wearing the 371 I will typically take it off to avoid hitting it against the desk/keyboard. That probably has something to do with it not winding as much as say, my 329, which I use more as my every day beater.
But after winding it enough to make the red go away, I wear it and the rotor takes over from there. While the power reserve helps, it doesn't really show much juice the watch has, but rather how little. I wear mine regularly, but I could see when this becomes an issue.
