Is that the 38mm or the new 42mm? I wasn't aware the 42 was out yet. Here's a pic of my PSM on a strap made for me by Rob Montana.

To answer your question, this Spirit Pioneer is the Mark I, the original edition featuring the original (thicker, drum-style) case and the FW 2012 movement. It was produced in the 38mm case size only, and limited to 68 pieces. The Mark II, which is said to be available in mid-February, also has a black dial, similar but with smaller indices. It features the new Eros movement, and slimmer case design, and will come in both 38mm and 42mm...

Christina..... I didn't get it at first. I was thrown by the size of the watch on your wrist. I'm a little slow on the take, sorry. I am allocated one of the new Spirits but to be honest with you I like the proportions of the 38mm much better. Unfortunately, I have an 8" wrist and I am afraid that the smaller piece will get lost on my wrist. I am very anxious to see the 42mm. I hope I like it. You might find it interesting that the gray strap is hippo (acquired through proper means). I have a couple of them and they are very resilient. I had Rob make another strap for the Piccadilly (I use this one most). I like the casual look it gives the piece.

May have to contact Rob about making somethign similar for me!

Yes, I tend to like the proportions of the 38mm Spirit Pioneer a bit better, but it's hard to know for sure without seeing it in the metal. The Mark I has an entirely different presence on the wrist than it does in pics. (More so than most watches in my experience).

I find the 38mm in this dial design looks far smaller than my 38mm Serpent Calendar... mostly because of the chapter ring design, I think, and also maybe the black dial contributes to it as well.
