Am in London and I find a screw loose on the buckle of my 127, so I m in harrods and decide to ask the fellow in the panerai section if i could have it tightened, he proceeds to send me down to after watch sales repair, where the fellow obliges and comes back with the watch and contemplates whether he should charge me 10 pounds or not, at first I thought he was in jest, but this guy was completely serious. He decided not to charge me, but the fact that it was even raised pissed me off. As if he did me a favor.

Given that the watch was probably not sold there.......

and well out of warranty, do you not feel they did you a kindness?

Also I would have been happy to pay £10, rather than have the watch fall on the floor and get damaged or worse be lost forever!!
Just my opinion!

........I once had a bill (multiply that 310 by 300 !!)for replacing a 127 that went bouncing down a pavement with a similar problem .....don't seat the small stuff ....you'll drown in it !!

Why go into Harrods any shoe repairers usually do battery change and you could of borrowed a screwdriver and done it yourself in 5 secs!

I was once in the same position nowhere near a Harrods so instead I stopped in at a opticians and bought a spec repair kit it had a small screwdriver in for fixing glasses, it worked a treat. Added bonus the glasses cleaning cloth cleaned the smudges of my crystal on my pam too.
