We are excited to share with you the announcement of Panerai's new Luminor Due Collection, comprised of four new distinct models: the Luminor 3 Days Titanio, Luminor Due 3 Days Oro Rosso, Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic Titanio and Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic Acciaio.

First presented in 2016, the Due line is inspired by the Luminor case of the 1950s but has been elegantly redesigned to be the thinnest and most versatile of those created by Panerai. The four new models in the 2017 collection represent the most contemporary interpretation of the unmistakable Panerai design, using a wide range of materials, sizes, colors and technical innovations to create a series of timepieces appropriate for every occasion.

The Luminor 3 Days Titanio is a lighter sports model crafted with a brushed titanium case and a blue strap and dial, while the Luminor Due 3 Days Oro Rosso is a more sophisticated and elegant offering in red gold case, ivory dial and a finely skeletonized movement. Both have a 42mm case that is only 10.5mm thick, almost 40% less than the models of the same diameter in the Luminor 1950 collection.

The two new Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic styles, both with 45mm cases and the P.4000 automatic calibre movement, are also significantly thinner and lighter than their 1950 model ancestor. The Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic Titanio has a deep blue dial and an alligator strap of the same color, while the Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic Acciaio has a AISI 316L stainless steel case, anthracite dial and a dark brown alligator strap.

Very elegant, but the 30m......

September 6 2017, 6:35 AM

I still do not understand why OP has gone away from creating dive watches, especially the Luminor models with the crown guard system, why couldn't they at least make them 100m waterproof, I know it is just a number and still not many of us will ever reach below 30 meters, but still it's more or less a brand promise.

Probably it is the pricing issue, their profits per watch are probably not high enough....

For those who have a small wrist the watch wears very comfortable for sure.
Best regards,

Not my cup of tea

OP wins some and loses some. For me, these belong in the latter camp. I don't understand why slimmer, more elegant case. Who are the target market for these? And I agree about the 30m water resistance. Considering how the brand is pretty renowned for their dive watches, these just don't cut it. Like a Ferrari with a 1.0 super duper hybrid turbo.

I like the variety and versatility ...

September 6 2017, 1:49 PM

I view these as OP dress watches and like the 739 in particular, but could go without the "automatic" on the dial.

That you can wear a Panerai with cufflinks is OK by me. Honestly, it always seems a stretch with a 44 or 47 mm and looks and feels awkward.

That blue dial, hand cranker! ...looking forward to test driving that one.

...and completely agree that it's great to have a dress option from our friends at OP. This wouldn't be a watch I'd need to go 1000m.

WHY??? Such a nice line up >>>

The last one is a stunning watch for the wife. See how much cleaner it looks with out the automatic on the dial? My one and only gripe, otherwise stunning dials. Sometimes for me, less is more.

Cool!

September 6 2017, 8:52 PM

I love the dial on the 728 although I am not sure about the fact that the case is made of titanium. I prefer SS for the weight and look and feel.
I really love my 676 from the first 'Due' launch. I do understand the critism about the WR, but for a swim I have my zero and my Hulk wink.gif

For me it is a direct hit regarding wearability, without losing the typical Panerai caractaristics.

I like but...

September 6 2017, 9:51 PM

I'm unlikely to go this route. Nice dress watch but much better options at the price point. I love the dial on the 729, if only they'd leave the Automatic off the 739 I'd be somewhat more tempted. The 741 is a monstrosity, I have no words.

Mixed emotions

September 7 2017, 1:41 AM

Love the open worked movements. Really nice.

Don't think the due needs to be 45, I think low profile, smaller size is a better combo.

Maybe that light blue...almost teal is odd with the gold. I like the idea but maybe they should go more toward navy on the model.
Mike...NYC. My collection so far is a 312 and some cool straps.
