This guy sold me a fake buckle, I got it confirmed from an AD. I did some research and he is into replica watches and is selling replica items. I am out $125 and I looked in older posts and he has scammed others, whether they know it or not.

Here is the post

Just curious, what did he say when you emailed him back? Probably didn't hear back, huh? Loser!

He will not answer back.

He stated that he took the buckle off his Pam 111M and when I did some searching I found that he is a member of a couple of replica watch forums where he bought a fake PAM 111N and the swapped the caseback to an M serial number. He was even banned from the replica watch forum!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a section that listed banned buyers/sellers?

March 17 2012, 8:33 PM

I'm sure they would just find another way around to rip people off. FWIW, I thought those buckles looked OK, even considered buying one. Hopefully, what goes around will come back around. Best

Did he refund you via PayPal already?
If not can't you put in a paypal claim against the purchase to reverse back the charges?

Too bad, sorry to hear that. Paypal as a gift is a big mistake for both buyer and seller>

March 17 2012, 11:17 PM

It offers no protection to the buyer and it's scamming Paypal worse yet the seller is making you be a participant in the scam.

If the seller is willing to scam Paypal they might be willing to scam you too?

Saw the pic and how it was packaged....??.....??

March 17 2012, 11:59 PM

Hello,

Most of the OEM products have a box that they come in....... all of the buckles I have ever
received have had Oem panerai boxes with the bar code and part number.

They should never have been sold in a plastic wrapper.

Be thankful you only bought the buckle. I am sure the crook is trying to sell his fake watch as well.

It was worth $125 to learn this lesson. Too bad we cannot track people like this.

... I also questioned the authenticity of similar items I bought recently..

March 18 2012, 5:53 AM

Different seller however, but the buckle looks to be cut the same as yours.

Here's a link to the thread below. What are your thoughts guys, is my stuff fake as well?

Call to Credit Card bank

March 18 2012, 5:53 AM

I checked his IP address "97.84.35.2" is located in USA...I got scammed a big money before and Paypal also won't refund to me (If your purchase didn't go through ebay Paypal always won't refund for any scam) so I called to Credit Card bank and they asked me return of goods to seller and applied some paper works they requested after their investigation for couple months then they called me not need to pay for the scam.

Hmmm

March 18 2012, 9:13 AM

I'm new to the game but thought I've done enough research to question the rubber strap. The newer straps have tips that stick out to keep the keeper in place and the older straps don't have that wide of a rubber keeper! I've felt the buckles were fake and the straps without question are bogus! Sorry for your loss!
