Tim automatically held up his hands in surrender and stepped back. “Hey, No
one will hear a word from my lips.” He motioned back out onto the patio as
he spoke quietly. “I’m here on business anyways. I need your help.”
Once Nighting had shut the door behind them, Tim looked over his shoulder
back to where Donna and Jason slept. “Just so you know, Barbara knows and if
I were you, I would go over there unless you enjoy avoiding projectile
dishes.”
“Anyways,” Tim started again. “I am on a case which I thought I would be
able to handle on my own. Just a couple of Gotham’s mob bosses runnin’ guns
or drugs…or both.” He shrugged. “No big deal. I get the evidence, turn it
into the cops, the shipment is blown along with their cover and hey, I get a
couple mobsters behind bars where they belong. Turns out, I might be way
over my head. We’re not just talkin’ guns here. In fact those are the cover
to shift the blame to the mob. It’s Joker. I haven’t been able to find
specifics but if the cops got involved it would be a huge loss of life. What
ever he has got up his demented sleeve is on a grand scale. I mean world
wide here Dick.”
Tim took a deep breath and let Nightwing take in what he just said and
gathered up his next set of info. “Whatever he is up to, he is taking his
lead from the terrorist group and going for chemicals weapons is my guess.
And if its chemical, you know his Smilex has something to do with it. And My
guess, is that he plans his first attack on the east coast…right here in New
York.” At that point Robin pulls out a map. “I got this from the warehouse
down at the docks where I am expecting the shipment to come in at the end of
the week. I snagged it while the guys who I thought were the main source
were outside watching one of their lackies get the snot beat out of him.
Just when I thought I had this case wrapped up, Joker pops in with the rest.
And I’m not sure, but I don’t think he’s alone on this one. This just proves
that Joker is behind it. Can you play connect the dots.”
Tim held the map open to Nighwing. Some of the major cities had numbers on
them, but in red pencil, Tim had drawn the lines. A smiley face that stretch
across the world….
