BIO: With the charm of a debonaire, the intellect of a scientist, the wit of the most highly trained inspector, & the eccentricities of any true genius, Basil Of Baker Street is quite proud of the name he has made for himself. The youngest in a family of five children, he was constantly babied by his mother & often picked on by his elder siblings. However, it was obvious from an early age that Basil was not a typical boy at all, but a child prodigy. Musical instruments were child's play to him, mathematics like a game, psychology & science feathers in the wind. It came as no surprise to anyone that by the time he had scarcely turned ten, he was fully fluent in not only his native tongue, but Spanish, French, & Chinese as well. He breezed through college with little effort whatsoever, & he decided to become a mouse detective. After a lifelong career & adventures galore, he rescued the Flaversham family from poverty, took the reformed Ratigan & Fidget into his home, married Queen Mousetoria's sister Victoria, & started the Baker Street Family. Basil still does cases, but mostly he likes to settle down with his dear family.
Basil is adventurous, suave, cool, smart, thoughtful, emotional, sweet, kind, thoughtful, friendly, gentle, & brave. Those are all good qualities for a famous mouse detective who's also raising a family. Basil's been through trials, tribulations, hardships, adventures, & many issues with his family, which has made him & his family grow stronger each & every day. Basil has also made plenty of friends, too. Not to mention enemies, like "the nefarious Mouses Fiennes"!
Of course, being the greatest detective in all of mousedom does have its disadvantages. As a mouse who leaves no room for failure, something of the sort almost literally drains him of energy. It is because of this that he suffers from terrible mood swings that can range from the euphoria of a discovery to a pit of despair so deep at finding his lead incorrect that he has, on occasion, driven himself to physical illness. When in good form, however, he is lively & incredibly friendly to everyone he meets.
Basil is most fond of pipes & is never seen without his at hand. And while his pastimes usually include spending time with his Baker Street Family, doing his job, going on adventures, smoking pipes, or playing his violin, he greatly enjoys sitting at the passageway to Upper 221B Baker Street and listening to the tales spun by his hero, "The Master"... Sherlock Holmes himself, from whom Basil learned how to be a detective.
Basil is very, very smart. He can deduce anything about everything, & everything about anything. He can use his amazing powers of deduction to help others, & solve their problems, as well as fight crime. Basil also uses his big brain & vast amount of knowledge to teach his children, family, friends, & enemies lots of new things. He's an excellent actor & singer, & he sometimes helps his daughters with their musicals, movies, plays, music videos, & songs.
Basil's not just a great detective, but he's also a great scientist, teacher, actor, philosopher, singer, violinist, adventurer, & most of all, a wonderful father.
