Mobile Internet solutions for RVer's

by Kathy

There are alot of companies out there claiming they can provide wireless internet access one way or another. I have tried a couple, one I did not like was using my phone as a modem to connect which does eat up my minutes and then if the voice traffic is high then I cannot connect to the internet and it is pretty slow. I think I have finally found a great solution, a wireless modem card that plugs into my laptop and then you have a data account. All the major phone carriers have their own cards and different plans to meet your needs. I went with Sprint and bought my card from
http://www.pcrv.us
a great website that tells all about wireless, unlike some other companies I have talked to these people know what they are talking about! Anyway, choose which carrier you want to go with, buy the modem, they have computer hardware for sale too, (may get a new laptop from them)then they activate your account for you, I got my card the next day--the price of the card is $299 but well worth the $. I have had no problems getting online at all and I am getting 115kbps! pretty fast speed for wireless. There are different data plans to choose from depending on how much time you spend online, I signed up for the unlimited plan which usually runs about $100 with most of the carriers.
So if you are on the road alot and need to get online this is the best solution I have come across so far that really works!
