Hi,

I have a problem with HFM version 9.2. I have noticed in the metadata manager that there is a attribute named 'SubmissionGroup' under the account, custom1-4, & ICP dimensions. I cannot find anywhere in my user and admin guides what this attribute does/affects. I do know that only numerical values can be set in it, and its default is 1.

Can anyone lend some insight as to what this attribute does?

in 9.2, a new function was included in HFM known as Phased Submissions.. ie, the ability to Process Manage data by groups of Accounts/Custom Dimensions, not just an all or nothing by Entity as before.

This Setting you have is related to this. A word of warning. In 9.2, this was a 'new' function, so has some "features". It was added following maaaany client requests, now meaning the need for multiple Scenarios is avoided, purely for timing headaches in business cycles.

Contact Hyperion (Oracle) Support, and they will be able to give you the updated documentation.

hey thanks for the post. as it turns out it is NOT in the 9.2 docs at all, not even the 'new features' section. I checked the 9.3 version and it is in fact in there.

I use 9.2 version of HFM and even thought the metadata attribute is there for SubmissionGroup, the data task necessary to manage it is unavailable. I think this 'feature' was not 100% complete when 9.2 version came out.
