Our client is a large Insurance and financial services company that has an immediate need within one of their Business Intelligence teams. The successful candidate will provide design, development, and support to a growing suite of BI applications using a variety of Hyperion tools.
This position will be responsible for
* Development, enhancements & ongoing operational support.
* Working with business partners to document requirements and create detailed design documents
* Perform data extraction/data load process into Essbase cubes
* Perform unit testing, system testing, and implementation
* Support existing applications and perform system tuning as needed
All serious candidates must have:
* 2-4+ of Hyperion Essbase experience (experience with Hyperion System 9 a big plus).
* Hyperion experience to include: installation, configuration, testing, tuning & deployment.
* Thorough understanding of the development of business rules, calculation scripts & load scripts.
* Excellent communication skills, analytical ability and problem solving skills.
* Thorough understanding of ASO & BSO cubes.
* Proficient database design, familiar with ETL and Data warehouse concepts & exp. in OLAP
environments.
* Experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
* College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Additional experience considered a plus
* Exposure and experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts
* Experience with Financial reporting
* Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL server is a plus.
