Essbase - Alias problem

Note, I'm not an expert Essbase user or developer.

My company is running v6.5 and trying to convert to v9.2 When we run Essbase to compare fiscal weekly reports in v6.5 the Aliases (i.e. column headings) are correct. In v9.2 the Aliases for the previous years weekly data comes up as the current fiscal week. This isn't good.

When we contacted Essbase they told us that functionality was taken out sometime in v7.X but customers after that don't have the same problem. Seems to me this is a pretty important function and anyone analyzing financial data would need the Aliases so I'm thinking it must be something my company is doing wrong.

My question. How do you fix the problem?

Thanks.
