Manager, IT Financial Operations

This management position reports into IT and is responsible for the Financial Operations environment. The position works directly with the Financial Systems Relationship Manager on the business side, the IT department Director, and the IT staff that runs the Financial Operations environment. The scope of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, the management oversight of the Hyperion Suite of applications (Planning, Budget, Forecast), calculation script development and execution, backup/recovery, ETL processes, Essbase cube design, procedural compliance, and development methodology. This position is responsible for the integrity of the Hyperion Financials environment, including all processes and procedures that affect the Financial Reporting. The position requires extensive communication with the Corporate Financials Business Sponsor, IT Senior Management, and IT Staff that run the application and technology. The position requires strong planning skills to help balance the business needs with the proper controls and testing necessary for a Financials application. Additionally, the position requires strong documentation and compliance focus.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science
5+ years business experience in a financial application environment
3+ years managing a financial software environment
Experience with Hyperion 9.3 Planning, WorkSpace, Essbase, and Reporting
SDLC experience
Experience managing a team and developing personnel
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.


Systems Analyst, Financial Operations

The Hyperion Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design and development of the Hyperion System 9 Suite whereby meeting business needs. The Systems Analyst works closely with the Global Finance community to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance Finance system functionality. The candidate should add value to the financial software applications and business through their knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Planning and Reporting products with their constructive teamwork, managing the business and building relationships with other IT teams throughout the company. Responsible for the analysis, design, and development of Hyperion System 9 Suite whereby meeting business needs. Develops, implements and maintains Cubes and process flows. Provide assistance to the business for annual budget and forecast processes. Evaluate logical views, data hierarchies and reporting structures. Ensure Production environment stability and provide continued support. Gains necessary input/approval of requirements and design and participates in code reviews and may perform code review for others. Ensures applications meet requirements and SLAs. Assists in requirements gathering and creates system and user documentation. Understands the business processes, how the application supports the business processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems. Develops functional specifications and works with technical resources to complete object development and testing. Employ knowledge of Essbase to facilitate better deployment of Planning, application security and other interface tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
5 or more years of Essbase development experience.
Hyperion 9 implementation or support experience.
Essbase application configuration.
Strong knowledge of HAL.
Knowledge of Essbase Excel add in and Smartview..
Essbase BSO and ASO cubes - outlines, dimensions, measures, members, metadata administration with ability to design databases and complex calculations.
Automation, batch scripting, Esscmd and MaxL.
EIS design and build.
Knowledge of integration between external systems.
Ability to navigate SQL Server 2005 and Bea Weblogic.
Ability to configure Upstream.
Experience with Visual Basic preferred.
