I was going to buy The Unknown Creature, but then I found out that it was remade as Gateway to Hell. If I haven't seen either of them yet, and am only planning on buying one, which one should I buy?

But I mean, as the director, which one is better for the uninitiated in your opinion? I understand that Gateway to Hell is presumably the "true" version, but which would you select for entertainment value if, say, you were taking one of these to be screened at a film festival to show what you're capable of as a movie maker?

I would have to say Unknown Creature, because it's my work from beginning to end. Not only does it show what I am capable of but it to me could be the gateway film that could show others what I could really do if I had better rescourses.
If you want to buy a film that shows off my skill as a director, Unknown Creature is the one you want.

Jay Lowman has been on the road for three weeks, looking for a subject for a documentary. He has just found one and he is ready to role camera.
