A Look At Tomorrow for Friday, Aug. 21st

Kiriakis mansion - Part 1: Melanie lays into Philip - Is this his default setting - he seduces her and than dumps her. Philip says it never should have happened. Mel - So you dump me but you're too much of a wuss to tell Stephanie - you're hoping I'll cover for you. Stephanie comes back in - what's going on? Mel was just leaving. Steph asks if she's okay. Mel is happy for them - they're getting back together. Philip is really excited - he's got everything he needs now. Steph tells her that Philip may have been a little premature. She tells Philip he shouldn't have said that. Mel - So you're not going getting back together? She didn't say that either. They decided they're going to try and work it out - they're going to take it step by step. She has a feeling they have a lot of steps to take. Philip wants to talk about this privately. Steph points out that he's the one that decided to share which she finds kind of strange. His first impulse is never usually to confide in Melanie. Why did she need to know? She looks at Mel - And why were you so upset when I walked in? Why don't you guys tell me what's really going on? She confronts Melanie - she's knows her well enough to know that she's not happy about her and Philip. Mel isn't. She looks at Philip - I think you better tell her the truth. She deserves to know. Haven't we figured out the truth is always the best thing? Steph - What is it? Mel - I'm not very happy. See I think there's an obstacle you two aren't dealing with - Nathan. I think you're leading him on. Stephanie denies that - they're just friends that all. Melanie asks if that is why Philip went berserk on him - because they're just friends? She thinks Philip sensed something between you and Nathan - something you didn't want him to know. Stephanie tells Melanie that Nathan is interested in her (Mel). If Philip sensed something about them then he sensed wrong. Mel asks Steph if she noticed that Philip doesn't have any input - it's almost like he has something to hide. Mel senses they want to be alone - she can tell she's not wanted here - she leaves. Stephanie thinks that was weird. She kind of feels bad for her. So does Philip - she seems kind of lost. He thinks Mel is the last thing they should be talking about. With everything that's going in their lives how Melanie feels is the last thing they should be thinking about. Steph believes that she has genuinely nice impulses at times and then something else kicks in and she's just out for whatever she wants. Philip tells Steph that he wants her back and he'll do anything to get her back. Steph thinks he's trying anything he can to make sure she doesn't talk about Melanie. He doesn't think Melanie is important when it comes to them. She disagrees because when she came in this room something was going on - it definitely wasn't unimportant. Step #1 - You tell me what really happened. What is it you're not telling me? Philip gets a call - it's Victor. After the call Steph says - you're worred about him, aren't you? He knew he had to make the break. He just wishes Victor didn't have to deal with Ciara's kidnapping at the same time. Steph is going to check on her grandmother. She kisses him on the cheek and leaves. Phil calls Melanie and asks her to come back to the house to talk.


Pier: EJ asks Stefano if he thinks Victor believed him. Stefano thinks Victor never thought they were responsible - he's desperate so he wanted action of any kind. EJ comments that Bo and Hope must be going through hell right now - this on top of everything else. If he had seem them at Grace's funeral - they understood. EJ gets so angry when he thinks of what Samantha did to him. If he had known Grace was his daughter he could have done something - she'd be alive today.


Fairway Urgent Care Clinic: Rafe tells the nurse she'll feel better if she tells him about it. She can't - she doesn't know what was going on. She sensed it - something was wrong; something was off. Rafe asks if she thinks Dr. Baker did something wrong. She insists he was an excellent doctor - he took wonderful care of his patients. She can't explain it. - sometimes she felt like there was something going on - there was something about him ... Rafe - He wasn't who he appeared to be? She answers - Neither were some of his patients. She can't tell him about patients - it's confidential. Rafe isn't asking for names. Maybe she can tell him what it was that bothered her. Please - there's someone out there that's in a lot of pain. She tells him it started when Dr. Baker started keeping odd hours but just for certain patients - early mornings, weekends ... Rafe - He didn't want you to know about them? He was evasive - their files were vague or incomplete. There was no pattern - some of the women were really rich, others were poor and young and frightened. Rafe understands that she doesn't want to give him any names - how about if he gives her one - Nicole Walker. The nurse doesn't remember that name. Rafe starts describing her but the nurse stops him - he asked her name. She doesn't feel comfortable telling him anymore. Rafe says please, I need you to trust me on this. I'm doing this for the woman I love - a woman who's been through more pain than any woman she have to bear. Something bad happened here. We have to make it right. The nurse believes him but she's not lying - she doesn't know a woman by that name. Rafe is sure she never heard it but he thinks she can help him find it. Births are a matter of public record so no matter how much Baker wanted to cover things up in order to get a valid birth certificate you would have to use real names. The name Nicole Walker is in the computer but he can't get it because he doesn't have the password but she does. She tells him it's trifecta - Dr. Baker said he once won the trifecta at Pimlico - happiest day of his life. He was a real gambler. Rafe - He gambled with other people's lives. He finds her name - So Nicole, gotcha! The nurse notices that Nicole's patient files were deleted - there's no way to retrieve them because they use an outside server. She can tell him something about the codes on the entry - the first time she was here it was some kind of walk-in emergency. The 787 means she delivered here. Rafe is surprised that Nicole Walker DiMera gave birth at a clinic. The nurse remembers that date - there was complications. Rafe - You delivered Nicole Walker's baby? Yeah. Rafe shows her a picture of Nicole - she doesn't remember seeing that woman's face but she wasn't concentrating on her face. Rafe shows her a picture of EJ - was he here? She remembers him. Rafe asks the nurse her name. Sarah. He tells her he loves her and kisses her on the cheek. Rafe asks if he's sure that guy was never there with Nicole Walker. She's never seen that women and certainly never with that guy. Rafe thanks her help - he'll keep looking. She notices the new picture on his cell phone (it's of Sami) - that's her. That's the woman that gave birth here that night. I remember her smile when she finally got to hold her baby. Rafe - The night EJ DiMera was here. Sarah says if that's the British guy - they were here the same night.


Brady Pub - Part 1: When Nicole expresses concern about Rafe and Sami Ari wonders why - she and Rafe aren't friends, in fact he can't stand you. She backtracks - she didn't say that. Nicole calls her a liar. She then apologises - it's just her attitude - she has a feeling that Rafe was talking about her - that he has a problem with her. Ari didn't say that. When she said it was none of Nicole's business earlier she meant it's also none of her business. She doesn't feel comfortable talking about Sami and Rafe to her or to anyone. She has to get back to work. Nicole mutters - Your brother is up to something. I know it.


Police station - Interrogation room - Part 1: When Bo says he'll find them - he'll hunt them down Brenda says you can try but your daughter will be dead before that ever happens. Hope yells - No, Bo - No! Brenda - If she dies it will be on your hands. Bo tells her that kidnapping is a federal offence, he'll make sure they get the needle. Brenda - You have to find us first - she hangs up. Of course Dean didn't get the trace. Bo touches Hope's shoulder - she yells 'Don't touch me!' Justin comes back in - isn't it time they decided what to do next? Bo - We wait for them to call. Justin - You really think that's going to happen when the last call went so well? (Dean listens) Bo - So you think I'm wrong to? Justin - I think you're dead wrong.


Park: Roman tells Abe he's been going over and over the evidence - whoever planned that kidnapping was either very experienced or very, very lucky. The FBI sent them everything they had but there was nothing definite. The only lead that hasn't been run down completely is that little girl, Tracy, Ciara's friend. Abe says it's always hard to push a kid. Roman agrees but she was at the party when the guy gave Ciara the candy. Abe - Did the girl say anything specific about the night Ciara went missing at the carnival. Lexie and Theo arrive - Theo says - Ciara missing? He calls for Ciara. Lexie comforts him telling him she's sure Ciara is fine. Abe and Roman tell him they're going to find her. Roman asks - what about Ciara? Theo - I saw Ciara. Lexie asks him when he saw Ciara. Abe asks if he seen her at night when they went to the carnival. Theo - Ciara and an angel.


Kidnapper's hideaway - Part 1: Kyle tells Brenda she can't let that Brady guy freak her out. Maybe it's a good thing he blew up like that - means he's getting closer to cracking. Brenda disagrees - It means he's smart. She says they're dealing with two cops - one good, one bad. He's keeping off us balance, slowing everything down - he kept me on the line. Kyle scoffs - Smart? He's been sitting next to the guy that masterminded this whole thing and he doesn't even know it. Dean's got the whole thing locked. Brenda thinks it's time they stopped listening to what Dean says and ditch the kid and get the hell out of here. Kyle argues - if they take off now they got nothing except a kidnapping charge hanging over their heads. Dean said it could get scary. She doesn't care what Dean said - they're the ones in the line of fire. She's getting out of here. Kyle calls the station - Dean reams him out for calling there. Kyle tells him it's all falling apart - Brenda's leaving. Dean says no she isn't - wait until I get there.


DiMera mansion: Stefano tells EJ that he must concede that if Samantha is nothing else she's a good mother. EJ asks why he's defending her. Stefano doesn't give a damn about her - he's thinking of EJ. That he thinks he could have helped that child in any way will drive him crazy. There was nothing that was not done that Samantha did not do. The child had very good care - he knows that. EJ argues - she was born in some convent - who knows what kind of conditions she was exposed to; what kind of care she got? Stefano - A convent? Holy Water? That's what she exposed to? EJ reminds him when they brought Sydney home he insisted that she see a reputable doctor - that's what he's going to do now. He's going to call Lexie and set up DNA and genetic testing - they're going to find out everything. Nicole walks in - what? EJ tells her they are going to get tested too - they're going to find out everything possible about their daughter. Nicole turns on Stefano - she has him to thank for this. EJ lost child and then he went through hell trying to save your life but something is wrong with our child so let's worry ourselves sick. Let's put our daughter through a series of gruelling, invasive tests - that's a good idea. EJ tells her this was his idea. Nicole - You think it was your idea; that's his genius. Stefano is going to leave them alone. He tells Nicole - Nice try but life is not over. EJ repeats - this was my decision. Nicole - No. She's our daughter therefore it's our decision and I'm exercising my veto. EJ asks her why she's so upset. Nicole asks him if he's thought how those tests will traumatize her - for no good reason she'll be terrified. EJ says she'll get over it and then they'll know she's healthy. If the doctor messed up they'll be prepared. He's not having a conversation about this - we're doing this. He walks out of the room and Stefano comes in. He says you're probably starting to think that this is the beginning of the end. Nicole says if I go down for this I'm taking you with me. Stefano asks her when she's going to learn that threatening him is stupid - he's the only one in the world that can help her. EJ comes back in - it's all set up. He's going to get Sydney - they leave in 5 minutes. Stefano tells Nicole to relax - he will handle this. He tells her what she has to do is go and take the tests. What he will do is make sure no one can ever prove that she is not Sydney's mother. He will take care of everything. Believe me you don't have to worry about anything.


Brady Pub - Part 2: Mel comes in and plops down at the bar. Ari thought she'd be in a good mood. Mel says last night she and Philip had sex and this morning he and Stephanie are back on the path to love. Ari - She wasn't mad that he slept with you? Mel says she doesn't know 'cause he's not going to tell her. Ari - So, will you? Mel is really ranting - she could have blown them both of the water but she shut her mouth and ran. Ari says you could argue that you did the right think. Mel scoffs - yeah make it peachy for Stephanie so the good girl comes out on top. Ari meant that she did the right thing for herself.


Police station - Interrogation room - Part 2: Bo tells Justin this is between him and his wife. Hope - You want to get rid of anyone that disagrees with you. Bo isn't doing that. Dean comes in - the press is here. Bo will talk to them. Dean says he's got a bit of a headache - can he step out for a bit. Bo tells him to go - it's his sense they won't here from them for awhile. Hope sarcastically - I wonder why. Justin tells Bo to go talk to the press - they'll all just calm down. After Bo leaves Hope tells Justin that Bo doesn't think he does anything wrong - doesn't think anyone can question what he does. Justin - It's done. I think it's best for you to just let it go. Hope argues - after the way he just spoke to the person who has our daughter. Justin raises his voice - Hope. Let it go for Ciara's sake. Justin says this is too much. This should never happen to anyone but no one should have to act like a cop and a parent at the same time. Hope says it's hard to see Bo in so much pain again. Justin asks if she thinks he's out of control. She thinks he did what he probably thought was right - maybe it was and I just can't face it. Justin hugs her - Bo walks in. Justin is going to talk to Victor. Hope tells Bo that Justin was just telling her that they need to be on the same side for Ciara. Bo - In my soul I feel if we had given them the money we would have lost Ciara. Hope - You threatened the kidnappers. What if they take it out on our daughter. Bo - Then I will never forgive myself.


Kidnapper's hideaway - Part 2: The camera pans in on Kyle's angel tattoo (this is right after Theo tells Abe he saw Ciara and an angel). Dean barges in and confronts Brenda - what does she think she's doing. She says - Geez, it could have something to do with getting death threats from the police commissioner. Dean asks if she expected him to play nice. He tells her she signed on for this and she's not going anywhere until he says so. Kyle complains that Dean gets to sit in an air conditioned office all day while they're the ones they're looking for to kill - he doesn't it think it's fair. Dean puts him in a choke hold and rants and belittles him - Brenda tries to get Dean to let go - Kyle can't breathe. Dean knows - he makes his point - he's in charge. Do what he says and he'll be rich and alive otherwise he'll not be rich and he will not be alive - he has this officer's word on that. He finally lets Kyle go - he's such a smart ass. Brenda argues - the guy said they're not going to pay. Dean tells her to shut up. He's the one that's supposed to do the thinking around here. He knows exactly how they're going to get that money. He looks at Ciara - you can't underestimate a mother's love for her child.


Kiriakis mansion - Part 2: Phil thanks Mel for coming. He knows she's angry. He realised everything changed after they made love - she was there for him, she was very kind ... Mel asks if this was before or after he told her Stephanie was his past and she was his present. Philip says he still loves Stephanie and as much as he hates hurting her there's still a chance for them - He loves Steph, he can't just turn that off. Mel - You can't do anything about that but maybe I can. Philip says you can Stephanie everything that happened - it's your right and I can't stop you. Mel isn't going to tell her. Not because she's trying to save his butt but because she has some self-respect. Regardless of what it meant to him it meant something to her so she's not going to belittle that by trying to get revenge. He thanks her and hugs her. She says - this stays between us.


Police station -Interrogation room - Part 3: Bo - So we work together? I won't spring any more surprises on you. Hope - We work together but Bo after Zack we almost didn't make it. If anything happens to Ciara ... he tells her not to think like that. She tells him one of these days he's going to have to stop telling her what to think. Bo tells her they'll find Ciara. She'll be fine - trust in that.


Sleazy motel manager: He's watching a tape of Melanie and Philip having sex - This may be my best film yet.


Preview: Dean to Brenda and Kyle - He will change his mind and you can take that to the bank. Hope to Bo - They'll kill her. They'll kill her Bo. Don't you understand? Stefano to Nicole - No one is going to find out the truth. Not this hospital, not Hernandez and not Sami Brady. Ari to Rafe - Something's not adding up. Rafe - You got that right.
