A Look At Tomorrow for Monday, Aug 31st

Park: Brady wants to know what the hell is going on - he just saw her being very friendly with the guy who harassed her a couple of weeks ago. Ari thinks he's overreacting. He misunderstood everything. Brady doesn't think he did. Ari tells him there's no need to be worried about Troy. After their first run-in he came into the pub and apologised. He said he was high at the time and the whole experience with Brady roughing him up was a wake-up call. Brady - the guys a junkie? This is great. Ari explains that Troy said he was doing everything he could to get clean. He's in a 12 step program and he apologised like crazy for the way he treated her. The way she sees it is he's this troubled guy who's doing everything he can to turn his life around. Brady sighs - she's a very forgiving person. Ari says she wouldn't have been before considering all the problems she had with her ex and his recovery but he (Brady) made her see that people can actually change - that I need to give them a second chance. Brady apologises and hugs her. They kiss - Brady wants to be alone with her. She wants that too. Brady tells her the problem is he got a text from his grandfather - he wants him to come home. She calls it a mansion, he calls it home. She says whatever you call it, doesn't it have 20 some rooms - maybe they could find somewhere to be alone there. Brady says she's beautiful and she has great ideas too. They kiss. Ari flirts - she has a few more where that came from. Brady suggest they go come and she can tell him all about them. She'd rather show him. They dash out of the park.


Pier - Part 1: Daniel calls Kate (she's at the Kiriakis mansion) - he wants to know if he's crazy but he doesn't want things to end the way they did. Tell me you don't either. Kate says they shouldn't be talking because it's wrong - she's a witness against him. He knows she is for now. Kate has to go. Dan tells her to go because they know she's in charge but that's not the Kate he knows. Maybe this story doesn't have to end - could be a few more dark twists and turns left in it. Kate asks him what that means. It means he doesn't want this to end. Kate thinks he's taping the conversation in a last ditch effort to save himself. He knows she doesn't trust him - she's listening but she's not hearing him. If she was she'd know what's really been going on with him these past few months and you'd know you could trust me. She asks if he thinks she's really that deluded. Dan hates phones - you need to see the person and look into their eyes. Kate is going - don't call her back.


DiMera mansion: EJ wants to know why she wants to speak to his father. She makes light of it - she just hates when he doesn't pick up his phone. EJ wants to know what she wanted to tell him. She took some new pictures of Sydney that she wanted to show him. EJ - You called him 10 times for that? Nicole claims that was an exaggeration - it was maybe three times. She starts walking away but EJ grabs her and jerks her around to face him. EJ wants to know how long this is going to go on - she's hiding the truth from him; keeping her little secrets. He's sure she's going to tell him he's too controlling - it stops now; he's had enough of it. Nicole tells him it's not what he thinks. He is sceptical - really, tell me what I think Nicole. She says she's not hiding anything from him, he has to believe her. She's begging him not to look for problems that aren't there. EJ explodes - Save your breath. I'm fed up of your deflections, evasions and furtive phone conversations. Nicole declares that she loves him and all she wants is to be with him and Sydney and carve out a future with them. You're all I think about - you're my world. EJ wants her to prove it to him - tell me what you wanted to speak to my father about. Stefano is in the doorway - Do it Nicole. Go ahead and tell him. Can't hide it from him forever as much as we'd like to. On second thought he should be the one to explain the situation because it's all his fault. Nicole wouldn't put it that way. Stefano tells her she's being too kind. He tells Elvis that the truth is we have been planning a surprise birthday party for you. It was an idea he had a few weeks ago and your wife jumped all over it. They thought it would be a nice kick-off to their honeymoon. Naturally Nicole was sworn to secrecy. EJ feels terrible. He's been belligerent and insensitive this past week - he's so sorry. Sydney is heard crying so EJ goes to take care of her. After he's gone Stefano tells Nicole she's losing her touch. Nicole scoffs - her world is blowing up - you think she cares about losing her touch. Everything is going to hell in a hand-basket and here he is, the picture of serenity. Dr. Baker refuses to go away. He keeps calling and calling - he even called Sami. That's not a problem for you? Stefano - For the last time. Dr. Baker is not a problem of yours anymore. Nicole doesn't understand - did he pay him off again? Not exactly. Nicole is frustrated - what exactly does that mean. Does he have any idea how serious the situation is. Stefano sarcastically replies - excuse him, he's new at the game. She's worrying over nothing. She repeats that Dr. Baker phoning Sami is a troubling turn of events. Stefano reminds her that by Baker's own admission he told her nothing. Nicole scoffs - He could still call her that is if he has half a brain and a functioning voice box. Stefano - I think that's highly unlikely. What Nicole thinks is unlikely - this not turning into a major disaster. Rafe Hernandez is involved - the man stole her cell phone which means he's probably tracking Baker as they speak. Stefano is having Rafe followed. Nicole says just because he's having Rafe tracked doesn't mean the man can't pump Dr. Baker for information. Stefano - Perhaps we can kill two birds with one stone.

Nicole wants him to stop talking in riddles - tell her what is going on. EJ returns - he'd like to speak to Nicole alone. Does she forgive him? No - because he has nothing to apologise for. He thinks she was doing a wonderful thing and he ruined it by being suspicious. Nicole understands - she was acting furtively like he said. EJ says he has a predisposition to being suspicious because of a past relationship. I have a wonderful wife, I have my son and my daughter - that's what is going to make this the best birthday ever. They hug and then kiss - Stefano interrupts. He tells Elvis there's a business call for him on the office phone. As soon as he's gone - Nicole wants to continue the conversation about Rafe and Stefano - no riddles. Fine - he'll be blunt. Baker is dead. The parasite is nothing but a rotting memory - it's over. Nicole says no it's not - it will never be over. He asks her how she can say it's not over - the man is dead. Nicole tells him about the letter Baker wrote to the authorities in the event of his death. It reveals everything. The whole truth about the baby switch, the bribes, everything. Stefano is furious - who has this accursed letter. Nicole - his lawyer.


Dr Baker's room: Rafe breaks into Dr. Baker's room and sees him apparently asleep in a chair. Rafe calls out his name twice but Baker doesn't respond. Rafe sees the rope tied tightly around Baker's badly bruised neck. Rafe bends over to check if he's breathing when he's attacked by two men in black wearing ski masks. Rafe is now unconscious and one of the guys places the rope from around Baker's neck in his hand. Sami knocks on the door, it's ajar so she pushes it open. She rushes to Rafe's side when she sees him lying on the floor. Sami wakes him up - he asks her what the hell she's doing there. Sami - What am I doing here? What are your doing here? What's he ... she walks over to Dr. Baker and sees that he's dead - she is going to scream so Rafe covers her mouth. He's not removing his hand until she promises no shrieking or screaming - she nods. Sami asks what happened to Baker. Rafe can't get into that now. He asks what she's doing here. She says Dr. Baker called her. She doesn't know why - he had this bogus story about getting in touch with his patients. She looks at Baker and starts freaking out. Rafe can't get into what happened but right now but he needs her to trust him - he did not kill him. He knows that what happened with Emily she thinks he's capable of it ... but you need to trust me - that's the only way we'll get out of here. I need you to trust me implicitly - can you do that? He tells her again that he didn't kill him. Sami knows that - she knows that no matter what is going on right now, whatever has happened, that he didn't kill that man and I know you wouldn't look me in the eye ... there's a knock on the door. Sami freaks - OMG it's the police Rafe. Rafe starts opening the window - it's housekeeping. Rafe says - Maybe next time. He tells Sami they're safe for now - they got lucky this time. Sami - This time? Rafe says this was a set-up. It's only a matter of time before there's a tip and the police show up. Sami - You think someone set you up? Rafe - Of course they did. Did anyone see her come up here. She doesn't know - probably. What is he doing here. He'll tell her when they're safe. Sami goes over to Baker - do you really think he's dead. Rafe - It's pretty obvious - but just to make sure ... Rafe uses a handkerchief and pulls out Baker's cell phone and wallet. Sami asks if he's checked for a pulse. He'll get to that. Sami pulls Baker's lawyer's business card out of his wallet being careful not to leave any prints. They hear voices outside the door - Ma'am this is a police matter - either you get me that key or we break in. Sami throws the wallet on the bed and they take off through the window. As they're fleeing the camera cuts to Baker and his twitching finger.


Kiriakis mansion - Part 1: After hanging up on Dan she wonders if he's playing her. Why the hell ... no, no ... not possible. Her phone rings - she snaps - I told you not to call me back. It's Lucas calling from the hospital. He needs to talk to her about Chloe. He needs her to help him decide what to do.


Pier - Part 2: Dan talks to himself about Kate - You're shrewd, ruthless but I know your weakness. And very, very soon you're going to feel what it's like to be played. Melanie and Nathan come along - Dan asks them what they're doing there. Melanie tells him that Brady said he needs someone with enough medical knowledge to follow his instructions but low-level enough that he won't be suspected of anything so she's trying to convince Dr. Nathan Horton that he might fill that bill. Dan thanks him. Nathan tells him not to thank him yet. He's not quite sure he's willing to follow his directions. Dan says they're running out of time. If they're going to help Chloe ... Nathan - Help her or finish the job? Unless you can convince me otherwise this doesn't go any further. Dan understands his hesitation, it's very risky for him. Nathan - Risky? It could end my career. Dan gets that. He insists that he did nothing wrong - he was set up and now all he wants is to save Chloe's life. He admits he's made some poor judgements and because Nathan is Lucas's cousin he can understand that he may resent him - but put all that aside for now. Think about saving a life 'cause I think it's your oath. You know that when it comes to medicine I'm never careless and I never make poor judgements. Nathan knows that. Dan - So either you agree with me right now or not. If your answer is no I will a find way because I'm going to bring her back. I'm going to save Chloe's life with or without you. Nathan is in. He made copies of Chloe's medical files - they're in the car - he goes to get them. Dan doesn't know how to thank Melanie. Mel tells him it's Brady that deserves all the love - he convinced her and she convinced Nathan. Not to make this about her but she does recall him being snarky to her at the hospital a couple of times. Dan apologises. Melanie laughs - to be honest, she probably deserved it. All that aside she knows he's a great doctor and a good man. She hopes Nathan moves fast because theyve got to get this ball rolling - the clock is ticking fast. Dan asks her what that means. Mel - You don't know? On the way over Nathan was telling her ... she tells him he's going through enough stress as it is. Dan - Tell me. Chloe left a living will and Lucas is going to pull the plug tonight. Daniel - no, this can't be. Nathan comes back - Dan grabs the copies out of his hands as Nathan is talking. Nathan asks if everything is okay. Dan - Everything is definitely not okay. Mel says she told him about the living will situation. Dan says there's no time - if they're going to remove her feeding tube and cut off the IV he has to get in there tonight and administer the antidote. Mel and Nathan both protest - how is going to do that. There's a guard at the door. Mel - There's no way. Nathan - Unless ... he smiles - there may be a way.


Cheating Heart: Lucas is looking at Chloe's living will when Kate joins him. She sees the papers and asks about them. He tells her it's Chloe's living will. Something happened tonight that made him think that maybe it's time they take her off life support. Kate - You just me so happy. Lucas can't belive her - unbelievable. How can she react like this? How can she actually be happy at a time like this. Kate explains - Everyone knows that this is difficult for him. Chloe is not coming back to them - her mind is already gone. She believes it's best to let nature take it's course. That's why she's happy - she's happy because she can't stand to see him suffer in this terrible limbo. Lucas points out that Chloe is the one in limbo. Kate knows that but he's her son - he's still conscious and he's the one she's concerned about. He's been through hell - she wants him to find some kind of relief. Lucas says he talked to Chloe's dad and he thinks the same way Kate does - he doesn't think Chloe would want to live like this - it would be best to let her go. Kate says if her family has already accepted the inevitable she doesn't think there is any reason to wait - does he? Lucas says there one other consideration. If he removes all extraordinary measures and Chloe dies - Daniel will be looking at Murder 1. Kate - Maybe, maybe not. She's talking about Justin being Dan's attorney now - he's brilliant - he doesn't have much ligitation experience but she's sure he'll present a vigourous defence. Lucas wonders how Justin can sleep at night. All Kate is saying is that they can't be absolutely certain Dan will be convicted for this horrific crime. Lucas - Are you telling me Daniel is going to walk? She's not saying that - she is saying they need to brace themselves for the fact that justice may not be served. Lucas - He did fool us, I'm sure he can fool a jury too. Kate agrees that he put one over them - pretending to want nothing but the best for him and Chloe. Lucas - Lying through his teeth. Kate thinks that may be Dan's finest talent. Lucas doesn't understand how he can do it so easily - he'd love to know what goes
through his twisted mind. Kate says they may know someday but right now they need to concentrate on Lucas's very difficult decision. Lucas can't believe it's come to this. Neither can Kate but sadly it has and after everything he's told her she believes there's only one thing he can do and that's to bring this very painful chapter with Chloe to a close tonight.


Kiriakis mansion - Part 2: While Brady is on the phone Ari picks up a huge piece of pottery. She almost drops it - Brady thinks they should put it back where she found it - it's 2400 years old - it's Greek. She feels stupid - she should have known how valuable that was - he did. Brady says that because his grandfather told him - he grew up around this stuff. Ari admits that she sometimes wonders if they'll ever understand one another. She came from nothing; she's had to fight for everything she's gotten while he ... Brady - What, breezed through life? She didn't mean that. She knows he's had problems but he's never had to struggle to support himself. Brady says so they're a little different. Ari - That could make for a lot of problems. Brady - Or it could make things really interesting. They kiss passionately. Brady has an idea - it's probably the last hot night of the summer so he thinks they should go swimming. Ari doesn't have a suit - he doesn't either. She says okay. More kisses. Brady and Ari are out of the pool now wrapped together in one towel. Brady says she's shivering - he thinks he can warm her up. They kiss. He says if she doesn't want to go any further she better tell him. Ari - I don't .................. want to stop. More kisses as he's lowers her on to the lounge chair.


Hospital - Part 2: Nathan pretends to work on the computer at the nurse's station while Melanie distracts Dennis, the policeman on guard. Nathan slips into Chloe's room and closes the blind. He puts a vial and syringe on the nightstand and unlocks the side door and then knocks on it and slips back out. Mel sees him so she ends her conversation with the cop. Dan comes into the room and sits next to Chloe and touches her hair as a tear rolls down his cheek. He gets the drug and starts filling the syringe as Kate and Lucas get off the elevator. Lucas says he can't ... Kate knows it's agonizing but Chloe deserves peace and so does he. He should at least talk to the nurses and start the process - as painful as it is it has to be done. Lucas will do it. Kate tells him to go and talk to the nurse - she'll go in and see Chloe. When Lucas walks away she adds 'for the last time.' Melanie tells Nathan that Dan's be gone for a long time - what if the guard walks into the room. Nathan has an idea. Lucas comes along - he has a favour to ask them. He's been filling out a lot of orders for Chloe's situation - if anyone has any questions he'll be in Chloe's room - his mom in there now. Melanie and Nathan exchange panicked looks. In Chloe's room Dan is administering the drug - a few more minutes and he has to go - he can't get caught. He tells Chloe he loves her so much. Outside the room - Kate puts her hand on the door handle and starts to push it down.


Preview: Stefano yelling at Nicole - Forget about it. All your lies, everything you have done is about to become public knowledge. Brady and Arianna making love. Lucas to Nathan - I have my decision. We are doing this. We're doing it now. Kate to Chloe - It's time to say goodbye Chloe.
