Sami's place: Sami has a little chat with Johnny about being good for Misty, the babysitter. He hurt her feelings by running away when she wanted to play with him. She promises him a new car if he's good. He runs off to play with Misty waving to Sami. Sami chastises herself; Great parenting Sami; bribery, blackmail and guilt all wrapped in one. She calls Nicole to try and find out where Chad is. She leaves her message - she talked to EJ so she knows that has been a really tough day for her. You'll never guess what I'm going to do. Brady comes over - he needs to talk to her about Rafe - it's really important. Sami wishes she had something more to tell him but Rafe hasn't contacted her. Sami guesses that since she didn't ask him to look for Rafe Arianna must have. She didn't ask - he offered. Sami - You're back together with her again. Brady - No ... No we are not ... okay we're back together but you can't tell anyone - no one! Sami is no expert but she would guess that a strong, solid, positive relationship doesn't start with having to keep it secret. Brady argues that there's a good reason for it - he doesn't know what it is but there's a good reason. Sami scoffs - Like that doesn't have Hernandez written all over it. Brady says it's not like he can make her tell him. Sami - so you'll pretend that it doesn't bother you; pretend that she can just keep the secret and everything will turn out fine. Than all of a sudden she's just going to disappear and you and I will have a lot more in common. That's part of the reason he came over - does Sami think that whatever Arianna is hiding has anything to do with what Rafe is hiding. Sami - No. That was Brady's feeling as well. Sami is sure that if Arianna knew where Rafe was she would tell them. That's what Brady thought and she has no idea where Rafe is. That's what really scares Sami. Rafe broke up with her so it makes sense that he hasn't called her but Ari is really worried about him. She's left messages for him. He would find a way to let her know that he was okay. It just makes her think that he's in a really, really bad place.

Waterfront - Part 1: When Chad asks Nicole if she's trying to seduce him she says 'be honest, wouldn't you like me too'. Nicole fantasizes about kissing Chad and then pushing him away and a cop showing up. She wants to press charges against him. The reality is different. She continues coming on to him. After a bit Chad says no, he won't. Nicole says maybe that's for the best. I'm scared you might be too much man for me. Chad recognises that line - OMG - you're that girl in the movie. You're a porn star. My daughter's being raised by a porn star. At first Nicole denies it but finally she admits it. It was in the past - she made mistakes and God knows she's paid for them. Chad asks how she can say it's the past when she was just throwing herself at him to get what she wants. She replies - Maybe someday you'll know what desperate is. Chad says as much fun as it would be to brag to his friends that he bagged some hot old nymphomaniac he's not doing anything that would screw up him getting his kid back. He tells Nicole that his daughter isn't going to have some washed up porn star for a mother. Nicole - And I suppose you're doing this out of concern for her wellbeing. He's doing this to get back at Mia. He doesn't even know what he's getting himself into. You do know when you have a baby you can't just shove her into your locker - you have to be responsible for her 24/7. He knows. Nicole argues - he doesn't have a clue. The last nine months of her life have been the hardest she's ever been through. He doesn't want to listen to her sob story. She tell's him it's not a sob story - it's an unmitigated joy. If you want a baby, really want her, every second is precious. And if you don't, and we both know you don't, it can be a burden. You can go from 17 to middle-aged in two days. She guesses he's not a very giving person. Just wait until he has to give all the time - just wait until he can't go out partying and chasing tail with his boys because he's at home changing diapers. Chad would do anything to keep his daughter away from a pyscho like her. Nicole says the horrible life she's led has made her a good mother. She's strong and determined to give her everything she needs. This isn't about money or fancy schools or any of that crap - it's about love. She's given Sydney all the love she needs now and forever and he wants to take that from her. Chad says it's not her call or Mia's call - as the father he's in the picture whether she likes it or not. Nicole says that EJ is reeling right now - he's not himself but he is a DiMera and he loves that little girl - I don't think you want to become his enemy. Chad says that might work on Mia but not him. His parents have power - it's all legal. Just wait until he tells his lawyers who happen to be his parents and the kid's grandparents that you came on to him like some whore in a movie ... Nicole jumps in - she's not the 'kid' - her name is Sydney. Chad - For now. We'll show the judge some classic porn. I'll see you in court. He walks away.

Brady Pub - Part 1: Roman got Ari's message. He was hoping she had good news about Rafe but it doesn't look like she got good news. She hasn't heard from Rafe. She doesn't want Roman to get mad - Brady is going to look for him. Roman isn't mad - just because the police dept can't declare him a missing person doesn't mean she can't try to find him. Titan security detail has a lot of resources - is Brady doing this out of the goodness of his heart or are they back together. She knows it's a mistake. Roman says they both know it's a hell of a lot more than just a mistake. Roman - All those little talks we had about you seeing Brady where I used words like stupid and dangerous didn't have much of an affect did they? You were just powerless in the face of such love. She's glad he finds this funny. He
doesn't think it's funny. He's not that old that he doesn't remember doing things that were stupid and dangerous. Ari - Back when the earth was cooling? What Roman doesn't remember is telling his superior officer about it. Why is she telling him this? She didn't want to. Roman - Wait a minute - don't tell me that Brady knows you are on the job. Ari says no - it's his grandfather. He doesn't know she's working for Roman - he thinks she's really a drug dealer. If she doesn't stay away from Brady he's going to tell him she's dealing. She doesn't know what to do. Roman - There's a simple answer - nothing. The Victor thing doesn't bother him at all - if Victor
Kiriakis is really buying that she's a drug dealer that makes her creditable. Same thing about his threat to tell Brady. If he sees it upsets her he thinks she's on the up and up. Arianna asks if the fact that's she upset doesn't bother him. She tells him she's out - find yourself a new stooge. I quit.

Omar's ship: Carly tells Omar that 'he' is burning up - they need to get him antibiotics. Omar tells her they're nearing Salem Harbour now. Has she decided what she's going to do with her patient once they get there. Carly replies - His fever is spiking - we have to do something. She's sorry that she's gotten Omar in way over his head. Omar - for her anything but for this man with no name? Carly argues. They can't just let him die. Omar suggests dropping him off at the dock and passing him off to the next good samaritan or dialing 911 but Carly says no. She asks him when they dock. He reminds her that she doesn't need baggage. Her husbands men, who don't give up, are trying to kill her. Rafe groans - She tried to kill me. Carly says he's in as much as trouble as she is. Omar says they'll get him help but she has to let him go. Carly - No, Omar, there's just one thing to do. Omar calls her stubborn as a mule. She tells him she's going to get him (Rafe) help. Omar asks if this help is why they came to Salem. Exactly, she's got a friend. Carly tells him that she'll get off at the dock and then Omar can drop anchor. She'll need a flashlight so she can signal when she's ready to board again. Omar won't do it. Carly tells him they both know she's going to get her way so don't waste time. He hands her a flashlight - does she have any idea where she's going. Back to her old hunting grounds - Salem University Hospital. Omar returns - it's time. She tells him to keep wiping him (Rafe) down with a cool cloth. Omar hands her a hoodie and tells her to try and be careful. If she can't get back to the boat and she has to run, don't worry about him (Rafe) - he'll look after him. Take care of yourself. Carly tells him she'll be fine - nothing ever happens in Salem.

Hospital - Part 1: Bo arrives for his meeting with Lexie about the Salem PD Volunteer program - he can tell from her expression that she's completely forgotten about it. He understands - she's dealing with a lot with her father being in the hospital and practically running the hospital. Lexie adds 'and my brother is continuing the DiMera slash and burn approach to domestic life'. Right now she'd talk about anything if it meant she didn't have to talk about her family. Bo hears her. Lexie asks if things are bad with him and Hope. Bo - Things would have to get better to be bad. The problems they had before - it was always something or someone coming at them trying to pull them apart. This time Ciara's kidnapping brought up something else - something's happening between the two of them. Lexie asks if he has any idea what it is. As far as he can figure Hope is pretty much wrong about everything and he's right. Lexie would find that funny if she didn't think he meant it. They're talking about the program now - Bo comments that the hospital has two paid positions for volunteers. The PD's budget is busted - they can't pay for enough cops let alone a Director of Volunteers. Lexie suggests that they do the same as the hospital - get someone to underwrite the program - what about Hope? It would be a good chance to get her involved with the force again. Bo won't be asking Hope for money - money is one of several hot button issues right now. Lexie - Money has never been an issue before, has it? No but the kidnapping kind of brought that to the fore. Lexie apologises - I hit a nerve, didn't I? Bo says that's easy to do these days ever since Hope took Ciara. Lexie thought they went on vacation. Bo - A vacation from me and when they got back Ciara had to move out with her mother. Lexie is so sorry. Traumatic events like the kidnapping - it will take some time but she'll get over it. Bo says apparently the kidnapping isn't the problem - it just dug up some isssues that were already there. As he's been told these issues have been there for quite sometime. He thought they were talking about how he handled things with the kidnapping and all of a sudden Patrick Lockhart's name came up and how he gave Chelsea the keys to the car when Zack ... he stops. He talks about Will Smith in Men in Black - they had this device that would erase people's memories - he and Hope could use that now so she could forget and move on but it's not going to happen. Lexie asks if he's forgotten. He would if she'd stop dredging things up. Lexie says maybe she's bringing them up because she thinks they haven't been resolved. Bo says that's the thing - nothing can be resolved. Nothing can change. He thinks she doesn't want things to work out with them. She's using this as an excuse to get out. Lexie - Bo, if you really think that you must be mad as hell. Bo - She's the one that's mad, not me. Lexie - Liar. Bo - Yeah. I don't think I've ever been this mad.

Kiriakis mansion: Brady comes home and recalls the hot kiss he shared with Arianna. He sends her a text. Nicole walks into the mansion and tells Brady he's the only one she could turn to. She goes into his arms - Brady, I need you so much. He asks her what the hell is going on. Nicole says that when he came back to Salem and he came to see her she was all about EJ. She was so wrong. She should have welcomed him with open arms because all along he was the one by her side - the one who really loved her. Brady asks her what she's talking about. She wants to go away - the two of them forever.

Brady Pub - Part 2: Roman sees her text from Brady - is that the best he can do? Ari tells him he can leave now. Roman - Just to state the obvious you can't quit. Quitting will do nothing to defang Victor - he can still tell Brady you're dealing. Ari can tell him ... Roman, what? You can tell him about our arrangement? Listen closely - do you think the department is going to risk all this work not to mention future undercover operations and just sit back and watch you tell Brady the truth? It doesn't work that way. We'll make it look like Victor is right. Arianna is so sick of being threatened. He's sorry about that but here's the thing - she made a deal. She got what she wanted. They're still waiting for her end of the bargain. Arianna - You're right. You'll send me back to prison if I quit. Roman - There you go. Roman tells her he really likes her and he wants her to be careful but he needs her to do this job. She knew the terms of the deal from the very beginning. She did - she just didn't know she was going to meet Brady. She doesn't want him to ever know she was in prison. She knows he's a very forgiving person but wait until he finds out what she's done. Roman has two things to say. First, he thinks she will be able to keep it from him and the second thing - when the time is right she might want to tell him. He thinks she's selling Brady short if she thinks that would be a deal-breaker. Ari can't but what if did tell him and he could get past it. Look how he's stood by Nicole all this time.

Java Cafe: Sami is talking on the phone to Will - he might not be working tonight - she looks up - she thinks he's here. She ends the call and places her order. He's Chad, right? She knows Sydney and she'd like to talk to him about her. Chad sits down to talk to her. She tells him her name is Sami. She's seen Sydney with Nicole and she's a really happy baby. Chad tells her she's wasting her name. There's nothing she can say that Nicole hasn't already tried. Sami - I wouldn't be too sure about that. You see I've lived through what you're signing up for and I'm telling you, you might want to rethink this whole thing. She tells him that there isn't anything that anyone can tell him that would prepare him for being a kid with a kid. Chad - but you got to keep your kid - no one tried to take her from you. He's
right she got to keep him. She had a son and he's someone she loves more than anything in the world but she didn't keep him because she wanted to be a good mom or do the right thing. She kept him because she was trying to hold on to a man. She knows better than anyone that there are the reasons you tell people and then there are the real reasons. Come on - there's a little payback for not being told about the baby in the first place. There's the pride thing. She's not trying to judge him or come down on him but if those are the reasons or even partly the reasons the person that is going to end up paying is Sydney. He asks if she thinks her son paid because she didn't put him up for adoption. Sami loves her son - from the moment she held him in her arms she loved him. The novelty wears off pretty quick - they cry and cry and cry. And you're pacing the floor trying to get them to go to sleep, begging them, pleading - doing anything you can and then you end up cursing them because they're keeping you from going to sleep. She was selfish. She wanted to be able to live her own life. She was putting herself first instead of her son and it's hard and they know it. They can sense it. Chad asks how that affected her son. He's insecure; not as confident as he should be. She knows it's her fault because she wasn't there for him a hundred percent like a parent should be. She asks - Didn't you get sent to boarding school because you were smoking dope? It won't happen again. She believes him but what if he makes other mistakes - ones that hurt Sydney. What if you don't - what if you want to go college, or travel, or join the Peace Corps - what's going to happen to her when you want to do those things. He says but I won't because I'm a father now. Sami says okay. So that means you'll take her with you to college, on dates, on your honeymoon? Yes absolutely he will. Sami says just know that that means she's stopping you from having the life that you want, from you fulfilling your dreams. And it's not even about you, it's about her. She's going to know that you did that and she's going to know that you resent her for it. She loves her son more than anything but she can't go back and change the past but he has the chance to do what's right for his daughter. She knows she's given him a lot to think about. He tells her he's not just some jerk - he just doesn't want anything bad to happen to Sydney. Sami tells him to do what's best for her and in this case she thinks it's leaving her with her adoptive mother. Chad says maybe you're right. She's the first person that makes any sense about this.

Waterfront - Part 2: Carly is walking along - You know what you have to do.

Hospital - Part 2: Lexie didn't realise that things were so bad between the two of them. Bo tells her that when they took Ciara he made one of those deals with God. Bring my daughter back and I won't ever ask for anything else. I didn't know that pretty soon I would lose everything. Lexie tells him not to throw in the towel just yet. Bo - Tell that to Hope. She's the one that won't live under the same roof as me. Lexie points out her and Abe's relationship - how many times has it been over between the two of them. Bo says they're different - one of you isn't Hope. Carly walks by wearing a white hospital coat - she keeps her head turned away. Lexie tells Bo it's not over between him and Hope. She gets paged - she has to go - she leaves. Bo to himself - Well, what's next. In the supply room Carly jimmies the lock on a medication cart and fills her pockets with drugs. As she is sneaking out she sees Maxine talking to Bo.

Preview: Arianna to Victor - What can I get you? Victor - How about some cocaine. Nicole to Brady - And we can start a wonderful life together. Chad to Sami - I will never make the same mistakes you did when I'm raising my kid.
