A Look At Tomorrow for Wednesday, Oct. 21st

Java Cafe: Chad tells Sami that she's the only person that's made any sense - having a kid when you're so young it must be hard to do the right thing. Sami says it's hard to know what the right thing is. Is he going to give up on trying to take Sydney away from Nicole? He needs time to think it through. She tells him Syndey has spent 9 months with Nicole - they've bonded; he doesn't want to mess with that. Chad isn't going to give up his kid to total strangers. Sami - They aren't strangers to Sydney - they're her mom and dad and she loves them more than anyone in the world. Chad asks about her son - is he really screwed up or something. Sami says he's worked through it now but it was rough. She blames herself; she could have given him a much better start in life. She thinks he needs to do what is best for Sydney - you'll let her stay with Nicole, right? Chad - we'll see. He has to get back to work. He walks away and Maggie walks in and greets Sami. She just talked to Will - what a wonderful young man her son has turned out to be. Sami tells Maggie she has to get going. Maggie does too - she's just going to get a coffee. She greets Chad. She tells Sami that she knows Chad through Mia - they're old friends. Chad looks at Sami - Wait a minute - you know Mia? Maggie - Well of course she does. Mia and her son are good friends; Will. Maggie leaves. Sami tells Chad this doesn't change anything. For him it changes everything. If she thought he was going to let Nicole raise Sydney she can think again. He calls her a total hypocrite - why should he give up his baby when she didn't. Because she doesn't want him to make the same mistakes she did. The way she grew up wasn't exactly normal. When she found out she was pregnant all she wanted was to give her child a
normal life, a normal family. But she didn't know what the hell she was doing. She made horrible mistakes. He has no idea how hard this is going to be. She's just trying to prepare him for what he's going to go through because she thinks it's going to be similar to what she faced. She and Will's father didn't last because they fought all the time because we were kids and stupid and they had no idea how to raise a kid. They didn't know how to put their son's needs first - all they did was fight and Will ended up hating them for it. He moved to Europe to get away from them. Chad - So, he came back. Sami asks if he realises how many years she lost with him - he hated his parents. Is that what you want? This could to happen to you if you take Sydney away from Nicole. Chad says he's not her.

Sami asks if thinks he's prepared to give Sydney a good family structure. You think Mia is going to help you? She doesn't want this responsibility - she doesn't want to be with you. If you do this you're doing it alone. Do you want Sydney to grow up screwed up, hating you? Sydney isn't going to hate him because he's not going to lie to her. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why Will's so screwed up, you probably lied to him in the cradle. Sami says attacking Will isn't going to help him make the right decision. He isn't attacking Will - he's attacking her and his awful alcholic father. Trust him - he'll never make the same mistakes she did when he's raising his kid. Sami says he talks big about being a dad but that's all it is - talk. She thanks God everyday that Will turned out as great as he did. He may not make the same mistakes they did but the results will be the same. Will hated them for years. Don't take Sydney away from Nicole. Chad doesn't want to hear anymore - he will get custody of his daughter. He walks away. DA Woods comes in to talk to his son - Chad. Chad thinks his mother sent him here. His dad admits his mother is worried about him. Chad claims he's fine. His dad can see he's not. Chad will deal with it. They're just trying to help him through it. Chad says a baby's life is at stake - his baby. There's no way he's just going to get through it. He knows how everyone feels - people are all over him telling him what to. His dad says he and his mother haven't. Chad knows what they want him to do. They think he should give up the baby. Hid dad thinks that would be easier. Chad says they want the whole thing to end but this isn't about them, it's about him, Mia and their little girl. He asks Chad if he's going to fight for her. Chad hasn't made up his mind yet. His dad hands him a card - if he decides that's what he's going to do he'll need a good attorney. He's not fond of the guy but he's one of the best. Before you make that call give it a lot more thought.


Omar's ship - Part 1: Rafe struggles - Sami you have to know that Sydney is your baby, not Nicole's. Omar tends to him as he mutters Sami ... not Nicole's baby.


Kiriakis mansion: Nicole tells Brady she made a mistake marrying EJ. Brady was the one that was always there for her; who always helped her when she was in trouble. Brady doesn't think she's thinking straight. Nicole - What's there to think about? I know you love me. You even told me that right before my wedding. She finally realised that his love comes with no strings - it's pure and real. Brady reminds her she married EJ - she went through great lengths to hold on to EJ. She tells him that's in the past. Brady argues - you can't turn your feelings off just like that. She replies that loving EJ was the biggest mistake of her life. Believe her - it's over. Now she can be with the one man in the world that really loves her; that's perfect for her. Brady wants to keep this real - if EJ hadn't caught on to all her lies and kicked her out she wouldn't be here. She says no - she'd still be there trying to work it out because she's weak. Brady - no, because you love him. Nicole argues - No, because I realise I can't chase a dream with someone that doesn't love me - who's nothing but a cold, cynical bastard. She needs to be with the one person who knows her, who cares about her ... Brady - You're not just talking about being with me - you're talking about running away. She tells him not to think of it like that - it would be a new beginning for them. He's known the truth all along and he still loves her and he doesn't care that she can't give him his own child. She loves
him. She asks him if something has changed - don't you still love me? He does - probably always will. There's no point denying it - he's loved her too long. She hugs him. He tells her it seems like he's waited forever to hear her tell him she loved him but she's asking a lot not that that's a shock to him. That's part of the reason she loves him. She can ask anything and he does whatever it takes. Yeah - that's been my pattern. Nicole asks if that means he'll do it - he'll go away with her and Sydney? You want us to go away and take Sydney with us. She can't leave her here. EJ doesn't want anything to do with her and that kid Chad wants to start a custody battle. She's not letting that spoiled brat raise her baby girl - it's a power trip for him. He thinks it's a game but he won't want to play anymore the first time she spits up on his shirt. She has to get her out of here. Mia wants her to keep Sydney but the adoption wasn't exactly legal. Brady - It wasn't vaguely legal which is his point if you take Sydney out of the country ... Nicole jumps in - The three of them are going to get on a plane and go to a country that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the U.S. Then they can buy a house and start a wonderful life together. Brady tells her that isn't going to happen.

She won't live without Sydney - she thought if he loved her enough he'd want to be with her, stay with her, build a life - they'd be happy. Brady knows she is in a bind and he knows she loves Sydney. He thinks her emotions are running away with her. He has to ask - does she want to run away with him because she wants to be with him or because she needs his money. She says that really hurt. Brady loves her but this isn't just about love. Nicole says of course not but love will make it work. Brady tells her she's talking about cutting everyone out of her life. Nicole doesn't have any family in Salem - nobody cares about her except him. Brady says that is not true. There's Sami, Will, Mia, Chloe ... Nicole - So a few people care about her but it's not like she has this huge social network. She only has him - he's her rock; the one she always turns to. She wants to make that permanent. Brady - What if I didn't have any money? Nicole says it's not about the money. It's about the life she knows they can have. Brady tells her she needs to think about this - does she really want to live a life on the run? Alone, isolated, hunted down. Nicole doesn't think anyone will care if she leaves. She won't be isolated - she'll have him and Sydney. The last thing Brady wants to do is hurt her but no, he can't go with her. She pleads with him not to abandon her - she needs him. He isn't abandoning her. He'll help her out. She says she has to get away from here with Sydney otherwise they'll take her away from her and she'll end up in prison. Brady says she won't go to prison while he's around but he can't whisk her away to some fantasy world and live happily ever after. Nicole - Then you don't really love me. He does but the truth is he shouldn't have said anything because he's involved with someone else. Even if he wasn't running away isn't the answer. If she needs a lawyer; if she needs counselling to help deal with losing the baby ... he will help. She doesn't want or need his help. Until he has a child of his own and loses that child he will never understand what she's feeling. My life is over and it's all your fault. She storms out and cries.


Hospital - Part 1: EJ talks to an unconscious Stefano about business. He stops - why do we talk about business when your life hangs in the balance and mine's blown to pieces. He tells him to rest and get better. He's lucky he can close his eyes and stay away from all this madness. EJ tells Stefano that everyone is rooting for him - they all love him - he lists names finally adding Nicole and Sydney at the end. He leaves. Stefano's arm twitches.

Lexie comes along with Theo who jumps into Bo's arm. Carly watches as Bo and Lexie talk about Theo and Ciara. Bo asks her how her father is doing. He's stable but not responding the way he should. Bo is sorry - that must be difficult. Bo finishes up a call as Lexie returns - Theo is on his way home with his Dad. Bo talks about Ciara. He comments on how much she grew up in the short time she was away - she's beautiful. Lexie teases that soon the boys will start coming around. Bo says she can't date until she's at least 31 or 32. Lexie laughs - As commisioner of police he'll be able to arrest anyone that disobeys that order. Carly - Police Commissioner? She tenses when she feels someone rest their hand on her shoulder.


Brady Pub - Part 1: Victor enters and greets Arianna. She asks him what she can get him. How about some cocaine - just a little joke. He asks her if she's still managing the two jobs she has. She hopes he hasn't said anything. Not to worry - he's a man who keeps his word - how about her? Does she keep her word? Yes. He asks if she's kept her distance from his grandson. She doesn't want Brady to know that she does other work - it would hurt him and she doesn't want that. Victor - Seeing that Brady doesn't get hurt is something that they have in common. Outside Victor makes a call - We need to talk. Your place or mine?


DiMera mansion: EJ opens the door to Victor - if he's there to gloat he can stay outside. Victor can see he's sensitive about the subject of Nicole - no he's not there to gloat but he reminds EJ that he did warn him. Be thankful for small favours - at least she didn't try to murder him. EJ isn't in the mood. Victor of course you're not. You're dealing with the fallout of not only Nicole but your father's illness. That's why he's here - they need to talk. EJ - About my father? Yes, it's not personal, it's business. EJ asks him in. Victor reminds him that when the two families settled their differences they decided certain businesses would be split evenly. He'd like to sell their half of one of those operations. EJ - Is it a lucrative operation? Extremely. Reliable shipments arrive weekly - dealers are ready to accept shipment. He's talking about their side of the river - all of it. EJ - What's the catch? No catch. Philip has decided he's no longer interested in working that side of the business; he can't get Brady to go anywhere near it so when he retires who is he going to pass it on to? EJ - Come on, Victor. You're not seriously considering retirement. No but with what happened to Stefano it does give one pause. EJ says they're hoping he makes a full recovery. So does Victor but we are still mortal. When he decided to sell the first person he thought of was him - he has the know how and the resources. With all the things going on in his life he can probably use the distraction. EJ will do a little research to make sure there aren't any unpleasant surprises. Victor tells him to do what he has to do. The only reason he's selling because he feels it's time to step back and concentrate on other things. He shakes EJ's hand - your father would be very proud.


Hospital - Part 2: The guy apologises to Carly - he thought she was Dr. Nelson. Carly heads to the elevators - Maggie gets out and she gets in - Maggie turns her head to get a better look but the doors have closed. Lexie suggests that Bo talk to Hope about counselling the next time he sees her - it can be very helpful. Maggie comes up and asks Lexie what other female doctor is working on this floor tonight. Lexie is the only one. Maggie saw this doctor get on the elevator - she just seemed so familiar. She knows she knows her from somewhere. Lexie is in Stefano's room. She takes his hand - you can't let this disease take you down. Stefano's vital signs improve - Lexie shouts at him trying to get him to wake up. Maggie is talking to Bo - there's a lot of people that would like to help the police department. Maxine comes along looking for Dr. Carver. Maggie says she's checking on her father. Bo asks if something is wrong. Yes - she was just at the medicine cabinet - there are drugs missing. Bo asks if there's any chance a doctor took them. No, the lock was broken. She's glad he's here - maybe he can start an investigation right away. Bo asks her if she knows what kind of drugs were taken. Yes and that's one more surprise; they were antibiotics.


Brady Pub - Part 2: Ari is on the phone with Troy - does the guy that heads the organization ever show up to check on things. No. After she hangs up she mutters - How am I supposed to nail this guy so this nightmare can be over? Brady comes in. She thought they agreed to keep this private. He orders coffee to go. She tells him that if he takes his coffee to the pier - she has a break in a couple of minutes. He'll be there. Outside the pub Mary returns Sydney to Nicole. Mary feels so bad about what happened - poor Sydney caught in the middle. Nicole tells her everything will work out. Mary leaves. Nicole promises Sydney she'll always be here - she won't let anyone take her away from her. Nicole leaves a message for Chloe. This idiot kid is going to sue for custody. She really needs her help - she cries - I know you probably can't help me. She ends the call - no one can help me. Sami comes up - It's going to be okay. I'll help you.


Omar's ship - Part 2: Carly returns and asks about their patient. He's still delirious - he keeps talking about a baby. She says at least they know how he got those contusions on his head - someone tried to kill him. She prepares a syringe. Omar asks if that will make him better. That's the plan - they're running out of options. She injects Rafe - let's get the fever down and then you can tell me who you are and why you're so upset about a baby. Omar asks how how long before the medicine takes affect. They should know within an hour or so. She just wishes that his pulse was stronger. Omar asks if everything went smoothly - did anyone recognise her. She hopes not although she did run into someone she knew but she'll handle that once she can get this man to safety assuming he survives.


Waterfront: Ari meets Brady - she's sorry that they have to keep this a secret. It's okay - it's kind of low maintenance compared to what he had to deal with earlier today. Never mind - they can't talk about it anyway. Ari - It kind of got to him thought whatever is was. It did but he doesn't want to talk about it - he wants to be completely concerned about her. When he came to see her in the pub she didn't look fine - what's going on. She wants to make this just about the two of them right now ... shut out the rest of the world. He agrees. She's glad he's back in her life. They kiss.
