SOD: November Sweeps

There is a lot going on and it's going on in a rapid pace, " says Executive Producer Ken Corday. "There is a big reveal in the baby story, but it's not the end....."

Sami/Nicole/EJ/Rafe:We will get the reunion of Sami and Rafe. Sami will learn that Sydney's her daughter, but EJ is the one to have a meltdown after finding this out. Sami and Nicole will have a major showdown. Nicole will decide to run away with the baby after she is arrested. A big story here is what this will do to EJ, who has been deceived three times. Look for Nicole to go to jail, which will coincide with Ari's maternity leave.

Bo/Hope/Carly/Justin: Carly's arrival marked the beginning of a very big story. There will be a slow burn into it. Bo and Hope are growing apart in their marriage. Carly is there for Bo, and Justin for Hope. And then Vivian returns to town.

Brady/Arianna: Arianna confesses to Brady that she's working undercover for the cops. He promises to help her investigate who is running the drugs through Salem. Are we building a relationship between these two? Yes. In the end though, I don't think she's going to end up with Brady.

Melanie/Nathan/Stephanie/Phillip: It's a merry-go-round with them. Melanie is torn between Nathan and Phillip. The rooting interest is for Melanie and Nathan, and eventually for Phillip and Stephanie to get past their problems. We are not there yet.

Daniel/Chloe: She learns she can't have children. Will they overcome to devastating news? He is a nice guy he should be able to get past the fact that she can't have babies.

Chad/Mia/Will: Chad and Mia are devasted when they find out that their baby is the one who died. It will bring them closer. Look for Rafe and Arianna's sister Gabby to come to town and fold into this story.

Victor/Kate/Stefano/Vivian: We will be playing these four and it will be very interesting.

SOD: Sami/Stefano showdown

Stefano summons Nicole back to Salem, which comes as a suprise to Sami who gave her money to leave town. "She doesn't feel that she has any vested interest in it; her emotions are not a factor, says Ali Sweeney. "Sami is someone who would do anything for her children and she sees Nicole as Sydney's mother, so she wants to help Nicole take care of her child."

When Nicole tells Sami what happened with Stefano, "Sami is horrified like, 'How dare he do this to her?'" says Sweeney. "it's not his granddaughter anyway. Nicole leaves the room and Sami wants to give Stefano a piece of her mind. Unbeknownst to Sami, Stefano is considering telling her the truth about Sydney. As Sami rails him, she doesn't let him get a word in and the few things he does say completely antagonize Sami. She wants to tell him off. Then EJ comes in and says something in defense of Sami; which prompts Stefano to decide to keep quiet.

After, EJ and Sami have a close moment. "They have been through a lot together and there is something there, " observes AS.

SOW: Vivian - A Closer Look

A fabulous face from the past resurfaces this week; the incomparable Vivian. Louise Sorel discusses her characters return.

SOW:People are so excited about Vivian coming back.

LS:I've heard that, but it's so hard to digest because it's been 10 years. Can you believe it? What took them so long? I love the character and always thought it was insane to drop her. I said that when I left the show.

SOW:Who contacted you about returning?

LS:Gary Tomlin. Gary told me Crystal Chappell was coming back, which I already knew. Gary said they were thinking of bringing Vivian back, too. I was nonplussed.

SOWS:And interested?

LS:Oh, yes. Gary said he had to get back to the writers, so I let it go. It was at least three weeks before my agent called and said "This is a reality."

SOW:What was your first day on the set like?

LS:Very emotional. I went in for a fitting. I walked down the hallway and saw the old pictures that were all still there of Mac Carey. Then I saw the crew, and that did it for me. I burst into tears. I love those guys. I always did.

SOW:When we first see Vivian, she's receiving Lawrence's ashes. What can you share about that scene?

LS:It's very brief and very mysterious. There's a big hat. Then there's my face and a voice: "Find Carly Manning." It's one of those ominous kickoffs on a Friday. Interestingly enough, just before Halloween, the witch is back.

SOW:So that animosity for Carly is still there?

LS:Alive and kicking. Vivian plans to torture her, although I don't know how. She's convinced that Carly killed Lawrence.

SOW:Have you gotten to work with Crystal yet?

LS:Yes. It's hard to hate her (onscreen). It's like I have to turn on a switch. I've known her for 14 years.

SOW:And will you get to work with Michael at all, despite Lawrence being dead?

LS:Lawrence comes back as a ghost. I'm hoping the ghost visits me. I love him. He's a lovely man. They're both amazing.

SOW:What have you been doing since you left DAYS?

LS:I did a couple of other shows (Port Charles and Passions) and some theater. I didn't purposely check out, but it gets more and more difficult for those of us who are not 20. I didn't put myself in a position where if I didn't work I couldn't pay my bills. Bascially, I'd gone on in my life to write. I started taking writing courses.

SOW:So what's Vivian like this time around?

LS:I'm just grasping that. She's definitely as annoying as ever and funny. Nobody welcomes her. Everybody says "Go away"

SOD/SOW: Bo sees Carly

The week begins with Hope moving out with Ciara and into the Kiriakis mansion. Bo arrives home and finds Hope packing her things to leave. "it's the same old story: Ciara can't be in the house anymore, there are too many bad memories, she needs a different environment, "rattles off Reckell. "Bo's like, 'Well, lets sell the house and get another one.' He offers everything he can." Hope isn't interested, because she has already found another home; the Kiriakis mansion."To Bo, that's unbelieveable," admits Reckell. "How could Hope even consider living with a criminal?" Hope goes on about how much Grandpa Victor loves Ciara and that he has a great backyard. Even though Bo hates this and doesn't want them to go, he goes along with it. "He realizes the bottom line is Hope needs more time," concedes Reckell.

But, being home alone turns out to be the best thing for Bo because he discovers someone breaking into the house, and it's his ex, Carly. "Bo lets them come in and tackles them to the ground, "says PR. He turns the person over and it's Carly. "At first, he's like, 'What the heck is she doing here?'" previews Reckell. Lawrence's death comes into the picture, and being that they have the history they have, she tells Bo why she did it. He's the only one who knows, so they go from there. Bo has no reason not the believe her. "Carly and Bo's whole relationship started with Bo kicking the crap out of Lawrence, because he was beating up on Carly. Bo's upset for Carly and want's to help her." He agrees to protect her from Lawrence's clan.

Meanwhile, Hope arrives at Victor's, prompting him to call Bo and demand he get over there at once to talk to her. However, Bo's a little busy and tells Victor he can't. "So what if Victor says, 'Come over?'" shrugs PR. "Hope was very emphatic that she needed time alone. Bo's giving her the time and space she asked for."

Bo agrees to help Carly and keep her hidden, but she's almost discovered by Maggie. who quickly informs Hope there's a woman at her house. Hope shows up and Bo admits that and old friend from out of town was there. He just avoids any facts about who she is.

Carly sneaks out to check on Rafe and Bo follows. Later she retuns home and breaks down in Bo's arms. She admits that she fears for her life. She also tells Bo this isn't just about her. It invovles someone else too. "He's being a friend, just listening and comforting her," explains PR. Could there be more? "Oh, no. That doesn't even enter his mind. He wants to make sure his family gets back together. The romantic part of it doesn't even occur to him. For Bo, she was not a replacement fo Hope; she was held in a different place in his heart." "She's more like a dear friend who he experienced lots of things with."

Bo better be on his toes; Lawrence's Aunt Vivian is back and determined to make Carly pay for her crime.
