that EJ finds out either at the pier or at the police station and it wasn't mentioned as the focus is first on Sami. EJ has the entire betrayal by his father stuff to work through so they probably wanted to do it in two parts.
I'm just glad Rafe figured it all out and the truth FINALLY comes out!
