This week's SOD features an interview with Louise Sorel, and this week's SOW features an interview with Crystal Chappell.
Sorel tells SOD that Vivian found out that Carly murdered Lawrence, "and she wants to avenge the death". Vivian leaves Europe to come to Salem to torture Carly "the way Vivian prefers her to be tortured. It's like Gaslight."
Vivian finds out that Carly has been spending time with Mia, so Vivian finds Mia and tries unsuccessfully to find out information about Carly. Carly then learns that someone else has confessed to Lawrence's murder. Sorel explains to SOD that this is part of Vivian's plan "to drive her crazy": Vivian has paid someone else to confess to the crime.
Vivian then comes to the Brady home to visit Carly. "[Carly] seems to be surprised and really annoyed, as is everyone else in Salem when Vivian shows up," Sorel says, laughing. She continues that "it's like how it used to be", that Vivian was never invited anywhere but instead just showed up.
Vivian tells Carly that she came to Salem to apologize. Sorel says that Vivian apologizes to Carly "not for burying her alive", but for having hired men to kill Carly because Vivian thought that Carly killed Lawrence. Vivian lies and tells Carly that she knows Carly didn't do it.
Chappell tells SOW that "both Bo and Carly are aware this is a setup. Carly realizes Vivian wants her free for a specific reason. She wants her where she can have access to her." Bo suggests to Carly that she leave Salem, but Carly refuses. Chappell explains, "Everything Carly has done up until this point has been for one person. It is the most important person in Carly's life." Chappell continues that Carly must stay in Salem to protect this person, and that this was the reason Carly killed Lawrence, so that she would not be under his control anymore. Chappell says that "the secret died with Lawrence, who was going to hurt this person... Carly loves this person. Their emotional connection runs deep. It's not something she can walk away from."
