Philip and Belle go shopping for a new mattress at Salem Place, and Belle is emphatic about her Serta Sleeper choice. They also buy a new headboard. After both are delivered and set up in their bedroom, Philip enthusiastically goes on and on about the new bed. Belle, however, refuses to lie in it. She collapses in Shawn’s arms.
After the initial excitement of spying on Marlena and Alex, Kate can’t get enough. Because of her propensity to nosiness she buys a telescope and becomes a Peeping Tom.
Austin is elected mayor after an extremely close election. The deciding vote was cast by someone named Karen. After a week’s appointment as Salem’s Mayor and solving everyone’s problems, he’s appointed to the Supreme Court.
Belle is alarmed and doesn’t know what to do when Claire actually moves! She collapses in Shawn’s arms.
Jennifer decides that she must do everything possible to prolong and save Jack’s life. She throws a party.
In the kitchen, Belle makes a cake but decides it’s too pretty to eat. So Shawn and Mimi do. Belle gets upset that they ate her cake because she didn’t get to have any. She collapses in Shawn’s arms.
Hope is upset when Bo gives Chelsea $500 for “office equipment”.
Brady and Chloe call from their tropical destination to tell everyone they are extending their honeymoon.
Terribly exhausted by a day of Belle’s collapses, Shawn comes home to a slightly burnt dinner of macaroni and cheese, a can of condensed soup sans water, cereal, and wine. He calls it the best meal he’s ever eaten and collapses in Mimi’s arms.
