Janice’s Spoilers

Hospital: Shawn, Philip, Mimi, Belle

Mimi and Shawn are looking a bit shocked. Mimi talks flatly when she asks Belle and Philip if they really want them to be godparents. Philip says yes and Belle tells them that they have named the baby Claire. Shawn thinks it’s a beautiful name but Mimi is upset and runs out. Shawn wants to go after her and Belle tells him he should. But Philip says he wants to apologize so he will go instead. Shawn tells them that Mimi has had a bad time lately. Belle feels bad for upsetting her. Philip leaves. Shawn is looking at the baby now and thinks she’s beautiful.

When Philip finds Mimi, she’s crying. He apologizes but Mimi can’t believe how insensitive Belle was to her feelings. He tells her that they never meant to hurt her; it’s just that they couldn’t think of anyone they would rather have than her for Claire’s godparent and Belle misses her so much. When he asks her to give Belle a break, Mimi says she isn’t willing to forgive her yet. She starts crying again and he apologizes.

Belle tells Shawn that she can’t believe the baby is here and that this has changed her life in so many ways. He tells her that he knows what she means. She smiles and says that when he looks at Claire it’s as if he has the exact same expression on his face that Philip had. Shawn has a fantasy of lying on the bed with Belle and holding the baby in his arms. He tells her that the baby is as beautiful as her mother. Back in the present, Belle asks Shawn if he wants to hold the baby and he smiles.

Philip tells Mimi that he didn’t mean to remind her of the abortion. She tells him that it was the worst decision of her life, but that Belle is responsible for Rex leaving and they aren’t best friends anymore. He defends Belle. She admits to missing the friendship but is still upset. He asks her about Shawn and says that he saw them together at Chez Rouge. Mimi tells him that they are just very good friends and that he has been there for her. Philip is sure that it will become something more but she is just as sure that it won’t. He begs her to be Claire’s godmother, if only for his sake. She finally agrees.

Shawn is holding the baby now. Belle asks him if he minds being the godfather. He tells her that he is but somewhat surprised given his recent track record and that he and Philip aren’t really good friends anymore. She says that they both understand that he’s gone through a bad time and want him to be the godfather. He smiles and says that he’ll do it for her and for Claire and returns the baby to her.

Philip and Mimi walk in. Belle and Philip thank them both for agreeing to be Claire’s godparents. Mimi makes sure that Belle knows she is only doing it for Philip. Belle asks her if she wants to hold the baby and she finally agrees, saying wistfully that Claire is beautiful. Belle is tired so Philip is going to take the baby back to the nursery, but Shawn offers to do it instead. They leave. Philip tells Belle that he thinks they will be perfect as godparents because Shawn and Mimi will be together for a long time and both sets of kids can play with each other. Belle gives him a nervous smile. Out near the nursing station, Shawn looks upset as he watches Mimi start to cry as she holds Claire in her arms.

Fancy Face: Bo, Hope, Billie

Still talking about how Bo can communicate with Chelsea and Billie can’t. Billie is sure that Chelsea hates her. He tells her to give it time. She apologizes to both Bo and Hope for interrupting their evening and thanks Hope for supporting her. Hope tells her she was right to come over so they could deal with the problem. Billie tells them she has to go because she is meeting Patrick. Bo isn’t too thrilled, but she tells Bo that she will try not to interfere in Chelsea’s life if he stays out of hers. Billie leaves.

Hope reminds Bo of the number of times Patrick has saved their lives. He thinks that once someone works for DiMera he will always be bad. Hope smiles at Bo and tells him she has something that will put a smile on his face (as she takes off her sweater). Bo misunderstands, gets a sexy smile on his face, and moves closer. She tells him...not that....she bought one of his favourite desserts. But it’s full of fat and carbohydrates and sugar so they will have to find a way to work off the calories later. She asks him slyly if it will be okay if they work them off before (while her back’s pressed against him and he’s nibbling on her neck). Bo is all hot and bothered and says...before...during...and after...

Hope changes the subject and shows him the apple pie she bought. He gets out the ice cream to go with it. Hope mentions that she had to use a credit card to pay for it because she didn’t have any time to go to the bank machine. She asks him if he can lend her some money to tide her over. Bo tells her that all he has is five dollars and then explains that he gave the money to Chelsea. Hope is worried that Chelsea is just playing him but Bo is defensive and says that she wouldn’t do that. She reminds him about how he felt when she would give Shawn money but he brushes that off. Hope talks about making Chelsea responsible and how it would have been better if he had just “loaned” her the money. Bo feels bad that he hasn’t given Chelsea anything over the years and refuses to ask for the money back.

Before they know it, Bo has finished off the pie. He pulls her over his shoulder in a fireman’s lift and she laughingly calls him a caveman as they go to work off “some calories.”

The Craze Club: Chelsea, Max, Billie, Patrick

Chelsea is rubbing up against Max as they dance at the new hottest club in Salem. She...er...kisses him aggressively. They sit down and talk about how they each have to wear wrist bands to show if they can drink or not. Max wants to know how Chelsea could afford the cover charge and she tells him flippantly that it’s her allowance and there is a lot more where that came from. She also tells him about Grandma Kate and Billie being hookers once upon a time.

Patrick is outside waiting for Billie. She rushes up and apologizes for being late. Billie explains about Chelsea and how Hope supported her. She tells Patrick that Chelsea is staying over with Abby so she doesn’t need to worry about her tonight. They go inside and Patrick spots Chelsea practically lap dancing with Max. Billie is upset that Chelsea lied to her but he reminds her that Chelsea is an adult now. Billie wonders how she got the money to get into the club. Patrick thinks Max paid for it. Billie decides to keep an eye on Chelsea but give her some space at the same time. They start to dance.

Chelsea sees Patrick and Billie and isn’t impressed. Max tells her that if she is going to use him again to make Patrick jealous, then he’s not interested. She pulls him back and tells him that she wants to be with him tonight. They go over to Billie and Patrick and Chelsea asks her mom if she’s checking up on her. Billie denies it. Chelsea smiles and tells them to have a good time. Max is suspicious as to why Chelsea is being so nice to Billie all of a sudden. Chelsea tells him that she is going to try and get along with her mom.

Billie thinks that Bo’s talk with Chelsea worked but Patrick isn’t so sure.

Chez Rouge: Austin, Sami, Kate

(I’m not going into this part too much because there was just too much dialogue)

Kate is really upset that Austin is with Sami and starts to go off on a litany of Sami’s wrong doings...all the way back to when Sami kidnapped Belle. Sami blames Kate for ruining her life and Austin tries to referee the match with onlookers watching them go at each other. Kate tells Sami that she did this to herself. She accuses Sami of next trying to get Austin into her bed (love the look of incredulity on Sami’s face...lol...).

Austin explains to his mom that Sami has had the worst day of her life and she doesn’t need Kate to go off on her again. Kate doesn’t buy that and continues to rag on Sami. She begs Austin to come with her back to her hotel and have dinner but he refuses. She tries to remind Austin of all the terrible things Sami has done to him. Austin tells his mom that she did some terrible things too and that she didn’t have to pick the most painful time to reveal what she knew. Kate doesn’t care because she feels justified. He tells her that Lucas is an adult and can make his own decisions. She doesn’t like the idea that she is just supposed to shut up and let her children make the worst mistakes of their lives. Sami tells Kate that she would have been good for Lucas.

Austin refuses to leave but Sami says she doesn’t want to be there. He admits that maybe it was a bad idea to go to Chez Rouge and they both leave together. The show ends of Kate’s face with fiery flames in the background as she says: “Sami may think she’s won but I will do anything to protect my sons...

Preview:

Marlena is holding the baby and she says: “Oh, Isabella...you are perfect in every way.” Grown-up Belle looks at her strangely.

Jack tells Frankie: “You are just waiting for me to kick off so you can take my place...because you fell in love with her you SOB!” They he punches him in the face.

Shawn comforts a crying Mimi: “You are incredibly worthy of love.” Mimi says: “Do you really mean that?” Shawn kisses her.

Lexie is talking on the phone and asking someone for information on all the cases Dr. Alex North has consulted on. Alex stops her and says he wouldn’t do that if he were her.

Pat’s Spoilers

The Devereaux house. It is so great to see Doug and Julie there but I was left with the feeling that their appearance was to push their book. Jen calls them over to plan a party for Jack – just because she loves him. Julie got the impression that something was seriously wrong with Jack and Jen apologises for that. Jen says that Jack hasn’t been himself since he returned from being held captive. He’s so distracted. Doug can relate and he feels it must be worse for Jack because it happened to him twice. There’s a lot of sexual innuendo in Doug and Julie’s speech which takes Jen a bit by surprise. Somehow they get on the topic about how even if you’re with the love of your life you never really forget the one’s that came before. Doug says that’s true but he’s the one Julie comes home with so he never worries. They start talking about Julie and a man on a cruise ship – considering this is when they say they should write a book – you’ll understand why I had the feeling I did … LOL!

Jack and Frankie’s scenes are very, very good. Frankie finds Jack on the computer. Jack tries to shut it down but Frankie sees what he’s doing. He knows it’s not for work. Jack is visiting web about mysterious disappearance. Frankie tells him that he can’t disappear on Jennifer. He calls Jack a selfish bastard when Jack says he’s going to slip away so Jennifer doesn’t have to look after him. Jack doesn’t think so. Frankie points out that Jack is doing what he thinks is right for his family but what about what they want. He knows that Jen would want to be by his side. Jack says of course she would because she’s unselfish and caring. He goes on and on about how people take advantage of that. Frankie says you are not people, you are her husband. If you disappear it would destroy her. She will always blame herself. Jack gets angry and accuses Frankie of just waiting for him to kick off because he’s in love with her. He takes a swing at Frankie but Frankie easily gets out of the way and catches Jack as he stumbles. Frankie reminds Jack that this entire plan was his idea – he resents Jack blaming him now. Jack says I didn’t expect you to fall in love with her. Frankie calls him on that and lists all the times Jack left him and Jen alone together, had them dance together and locked them in a closet. Jack says he did that. He knows Frankie is the right one – he just doesn’t want to hear about it. Frankie tries to get out of their deal but ends up agreeing to keep Jack’s secret. Frankie tells Jack that leaving town is cruel. Jack thinks he’s being kind – he talks about ending up in the hospital and how Jen will be there with him but eventually it won’t be him anymore – he doesn’t want to put her through that. They talk some more and they end up hugging – very moving scenes.

John phones Belle and asks if he and Marlena can come and see the baby. She’s happy they are coming together. John tells Marlena they’re going to visit their new granddaughter. Alex advises against it. John doesn’t see what’s wrong with them going to visit the first grandchild they share together. Alex thinks that John will just be manipulating Marlena into some kind of moment that packs an emotional wallop. John doesn’t deny that. Alex drones on about how he doesn’t want Marlena traumatized and overwhelmed. Marlena does the hand swipe thing and chants the Alex won’t hurt me, he cares for me, he protects me mantra but then adds that she would like to go and see the baby. John is happy – he thinks it could lead to a real break through. He goes through how her memory returned when she had to help Belle with the delivery – she saved the baby’s and Belle’s lives. Marlena tells Alex that she may not remember her daughter but Belle remembers her. They get to the hospital and at least Alex doesn’t follow them into the room. Belle says I’d like to introduce MY baby – Claire. The oohing and aahing starts. When they start talking baby stuff John takes his leave. Marlena calls the baby Isabella. She then asks if they have chosen godparents. Belle tells her they asked Shawn and Mimi – Marlena doesn’t remember Mimi. Marlena asks her how her husband feels about Shawn being the godfather. She also tells Belle that she called out Shawn’s name. Belle doesn’t recall that. She goes on about how she loves Philip and the baby will bring them closer. She’s moved on and she hopes that one day Shawn will – it will take him some time (cough, cough, no comment).

Lexie is making a call to get some history on other patients of Dr. North’s but Alex comes along and hangs up the phone. He threatens her AGAIN. He tells her a sex scandal would hurt her career. He tells her not to interfere with his treatment of Marlena Evans. Lexie reminds him that her name is Dr. Marlena Evans Black – she is married to a man who loves her very very much. Alex doesn’t think they have much of a marriage if she can’t remember him. Lexie worries that the longer he treats her the more distant Marlena acts towards John and Belle. (Excuse me … what about Sami???) John comes in and makes a smart remark about Alex always turning up like a bad penny. Alex says he’s done consulting with Lexie. He then gives Lexie a subtle warning by telling her to give his best to Abe. Lexie tells John that she is very busy – she’s not flaking off on him – she hasn’t been able to find a lot of information on Alex’s patients – no one is talking. She then tells him that he would have better luck investigating him with the connections he has. She takes off – John gives her a very strange look. Alex comes to Belle’s room and says they should be leaving and Marlena does. When John returns Belle tells him she thinks her mom’s memories are returning. She called the baby Isabella. But as soon as Dr. North came in she went away. She was there but the person she loved disappeared. John vows to bring her back – no matter what he has to do.

Shawn and Mimi: Mimi is on the rooftop thinking about how hard it was to hold the baby. She flashes back to crying and telling Shawn she can’t hold the baby. Shawn takes it back to the nursery. Shawn shows up and sees how upset she is. “How can I make it better?” Mimi – You can’t. Nobody can. Shawn says he knows it was hard for her to hold Belle’s baby because it reminded her of the baby her and Rex were going to have. Mimi starts to say ‘If I hadn’t …’ and stops ‘but I did and it was my own decision.’ She tells Shawn that because she can’t have babies of her own she’s not a real woman. Shawn thinks that crazy. She asks him who would want to be with her. He doesn’t know what she’s talking about. There are a lot of women who can’t have children. Mimi says she could have but she ruined everything. Shawn her she didn’t. She made a decision that at the time she thought was best for her. What happened was a freak accident – she couldn’t have planned for that. He says it could have happened for a reason – he asks her to hear him out. There are so many children out there looking for a home. He brings up his parents and JT and how they couldn’t have loved him any more if he was their own. He says ‘you have so much to give to a child and to a partner’ –Gulp – his voice…Thud. Mimi says she had a child and she had a partner. She tells him she knows that her life isn’t over even though it feels that way sometimes. She had so many dreams and now she’s afraid to let herself dream. She lost the man she loves, she got rid of her baby and she can never have another and she’s got no one to blame but herself.

Mimi is crying. Shawn comes up behind her and strokes her arm and tells her not to do this to herself. Mimi says she is such a loser. (Says it more than once). She then apologises to Shawn. She is just having a really hard time tonight. Shawn smiles and shrugs – he understands, probably better than anyone. Mimi asks why Belle gets everything she wants. Husband, baby, money, you pining over all. (LOL – love the expression on Shawn’s face when she inserts that last part). She asks – Is it ever going to be my turn. Shawn reminds her that her life hasn’t been all bad – there have been plenty of good things. Mimi is having a hard time of thinking of one right now. He says they’re going to sit down and think together. The first thing that comes to his mind is the dating show – which he hated personally…LOL. Mimi says, “Right, and Mr. Right turned out to be Philip and he chose Belle – another time when I turned out to be a loser. He reminds her of the money she got and she bought a car with it. She in turn reminds him that her mother stole the rest of her money and spent it on lottery tickets and because her last name is Lockhart they were LOSING tickets. Shawn smirks and tells her she’s making it really hard to look on the bright side of things. She says she did have a couple of wonderful years with an incredible guy who loved her. Shawn – There you go! Mimi continues – she didn’t trust in his love. She should have listened to Belle who kept telling her to tell Rex so the two of them could decide together. She just couldn’t bring herself to tell him because she was so afraid of losing him because he had told her so many times that he didn’t want children. Shawn tells her that guys just say that – girls are born wanting to have babies – he guesses that is because girls are the ones that give birth. Mimi – Except I never will. She tells Shawn that she thinks about that and she doesn’t know if she can live with it. She says she’ll never be pregnant again. She’ll never feel a baby kicking and moving inside of her. And then if she adopts she’ll never hear ‘oh she looks just like you.’ Shawn begs her to stop … she goes on saying and I’ll never be in the hospital like Belle and have family and friends coming to visit and ooh and aah over the beautiful baby. She stands up and says she shouldn’t be up here on the rooftop. Shawn asks her why. Her answer – because it’s for lovers, for people who put their initials on the door. Shawn says just because people put their initials on the door, it doesn’t mean they stay together and he’s not just talking about her and Rex. He asks her for how long did he believe he was going to spend his life with Belle. It didn’t turn out that way. He says he did a lot of dumb things … Mimi says not as dumb as mine. Shawn grins and asks her if this has become a contest now. She says yes and for once she has won something. She lost Rex, lost the chance to have a baby. It’s God’s way of telling her that she doesn’t deserve to be happy. Shawn shakes his head and takes her in his arms and hugs her.

Shawn teases her and says she is really feeling sorry for herself. Mimi says she is sorry. Shawn tells her not to be sorry. She can be mad, angry, upset, frustrated but do not be sorry – not for whom you are or what you did. You did what you thought was the right thing and the person that has suffered the most here is you so you don’t have to apologise to anyone. We’ve both found out the hard way that life doesn’t always turn out the way we think it will. He then says I’m going to tell you who I think you really are. She tells him he doesn’t have to do that. He wants to. This is what he tells her. “You are the sweetest, funniest, (she interrupts and says she’s been a real laugh riot tonight – Shawn keeps talking) the most talkative – in a good way, kindest – not just too furry animals or cute babies. You’re the most giving woman I know. Mimi, you worry about where polar bears are going to go when the ice caps melt. You love your mother no matter how nuts she makes you. And you will stay up to all hours of the night when a friend just needs to talk. (Up to this point he’s all smiles in his effort to lift her spirits – now he gets a little more serious). You (he hesitates) are everything a man looks for in a partner. And you are incredibly worthy of love.” Mimi asks him if really means that. He nods his head and says “Yeah… (You can tell that he is realising that everything he said is true) – Oh my that look on his face – that hesitation before the kiss – sigh. Loved it!

Preview: A very upset John to Marlena – Here we are busting ourselves up to get your past back and we don’t know a damn thing about his. Alex – How you had to do was ask. Kate to Roman – We can work through it. I know we can. Roman – If it were only that easy Kate. Lucas to Sami and Austin – You’re a damn fool for letting her back in your life. Both of you.

Pat’s Spoilers

Sami’s: Austin wakes up on the couch. He finds a note from Sami. Sami returns with an overflowing bag of groceries. She drops some stuff and bends to pick it up – Lucas helps her and then starts to walk away. Sami wants to talk – to try and make some sense of what happened. Lucas doesn’t think that he will ever be able to do that but he agrees they need to talk about Will. Will wants to live with him permanently. Lucas wants to go inside her place to talk about it – Sami suggests his place. He says Will is sleeping and he doesn’t want to disturb him. The poor kid had a hard falling asleep because he blames himself for what happened. He knew something was wrong but he asked you and you lied to him. Sami says she is sorry for letting him down. Austin opens the door with a towel slung over his shoulders. Lucas immediately jumps to a wrong conclusion. Austin explains that he slept on the couch. He took Sami out for something to eat last night – he mentions Chez Rouge. This sets Lucas off again – their wedding reception was supposed to be there. Lucas can’t believe that Austin fell for Sami’s sob story. Sami ties into Lucas – personally I think this was long overdue. She says Kate set me up. Lucas isn’t making any excuses for Kate but he feels that Sami should have had faith in their love – she should have known that they would eventually find their way back to each other. Sami yells at him that she told him a million times that she was innocent and he called her a liar and worse. All she had left was revenge.

She reminds him that he worked for Tony as well. Lucas thinks that’s different – he didn’t do anything that would hurt other people. Sami says you know I didn’t mean for anything to happen. Lucas tells her that she has to be held accountable for her actions and may God help her. Sami is crushed – she says you don’t mean that. But Lucas does. He calls Austin a fool for letting Sami back into his life and he stomps off. Sami asks Austin why he’s being so nice to her. He tells her that she is not the only one at fault. Sami tells Austin that she loves Lucas and it hurts so much – the look on his face, Will won’t talk to her… Austin tells her it will take time for the wounds to heal. Sami says she let down both Lucas and Will more than once – she’s blown all her chances with them. Austin tells her to make a promise to herself – he gives her a line to repeat that basically states that she won’t lie to the people she loves no matter what. Sami can’t bring herself to repeat it. She thanks him for trying to pull her out of the doldrums and then she adds the fateful words, things couldn’t get any worse. But they do. There’s a knock on the door. Roman is there to arrest her.

Java Café: Both Roman and Kate end up there. Kate joins Roman at his table – he’s not too happy about it but he talks to her. She explains to him that she did what she had to do. Sami put her children and Roman’s son in harm’s way. She led them right into Tony’s clutches. Roman tells her she’s wasting her breath. She was right about Sami and she did the right thing. Kate is pleased for about a second. Roman continues – what Sami did was unconscionable but she was forced into it. She didn’t know she was in bed with Tony until later – just like she didn’t knowingly crawl into bed with Brandon. That put her over the edge. Kate says so you’re blaming me. Roman says yes. You broke them and he hopes she is happy. Kate proclaims that they didn’t belong together. Roman asks her how she knows that when she doesn’t even know what’s good for her. They had a child together and all they wanted was to be a family but that won’t happen now. He then says that they are the only losers, he lost his wife and if Sami goes to jail he’ll lose his daughter. Kate says she lost her husband and her son. Roman says a part of him will always love her and wishes he could forgive her. She tells him to just do it. He says he can’t. She knows they can work it out. Roman says if only it was that simple. He says goodbye and walks out.

Lucas arrives for his meeting his mother. He throws back the envelope she had sent him. She says it was a wedding gift for him. He says a gift for a wedding you sabotaged. She says she sent that before she had the proof that Sami was Stan. Lucas says but you were looking for it. Kate tells him she did what she did for him – he might find it hard to believe right now but eventually … Lucas tells her he loves Sami and he will never forgive Kate for what she did. Kate admits that she may have contributed to Sami coming undone. Lucas is very sarcastic with his response. Kate thinks that if he knows Sami is so self-destructive he should be happy with what she did – she hopes that Sami is suffering ten times more. Lucas says to save it – Sami’s already moved on. It’s been less than a day and guess who I find in her apartment wearing a towel. Kate says please don’t tell me it was Austin. Lucas says you can have a full time job now keeping Sami away from both of your sons. Kate calls Sami a bitch (I always say it takes one to know one …LOL). She then goes on to say that Sami probably drugged Austin. Lucas answers with she would have learned that from you. He then tells her he’s done. He’s getting off the Sami Brady rollercoaster and the Kate Roberts rollercoaster and walks out. Kate picks up the paper and reads the headlines about Sami facing charges. She’s happy – it will keep the witch away from her sons.

John/Marlena/Alex – There was so much dialogue going on here that I’m not even going to attempt to cover it all. I’ll try not to miss any of the important stuff. Alex is on the phone with someone (hmmm… another mystery). He’s not worried about Lexie – he thinks John set her up to check him out. He tells this person that if John thinks he is going to get him out of Marlena’s life he is sadly mistaken. Downstairs John is working on the computer when Marlena comes down. He says Dr. North is up to no good. Marlena doesn’t like hat he is checking out Dr. North. John doesn’t back down. He talks about their past and how good it was. They had a great life together. He talks about how she reacted to their granddaughter – it was just like she reacted to Belle. Marlena grows a bit agitated. She says anyone would react that way to a new baby. She just wants to focus on getting well. And John wants to help. He has serious doubts about the methods that Dr. North is using. Marlena tells him his methods are just fine. John thinks that Dr. North doesn’t want her to get her memory back. Marlena is shocked by that statement. John asks her to name one thing she has remembered… he keeps pushing – Marlena can’t come up with anything. She says we made progress in the present – he’s made me feel comfortable now. She wants him here. John asks if he is such a pre-eminent psychiatrist why is she the first patient he’s seen in ten years.

Marlena is shocked by this but starts coming up with possible reasons. She sees that John is checking the American Psychiatry Registry and tells him that psychiatrists don’t have register with them…hmmm now how did she remember that. Maybe he’s writing a book. John says there is nothing. He says they are falling all over themselves to help her get her past back but they know nothing about his. Alex comes down and says all you had to do was ask. John tells him what he found or more like didn’t find on the computer. Alex pulls up to secure websites that show two different research projects he worked on and offers that as proof. John says that means nothing because if they are secure websites no one will confirm or deny that you worked for them. Marlena has to leave – she has an appointment. John takes her. Alex goes back upstairs to plot and talk to himself. He says if John thinks he will allow him to sabotage all the work he’s done on Marlena he’s a bigger fool than he thought. It’s time to separate Marlena from her husband permanently. He has to build a wall that not even John can penetrate. He almost feels sorry for John. Once he has Marlena completely under his control, she will be lost to John forever and he won’t be able to stop Alex from making Marlena his. He checks Marlena’s planner and finds out where she is.

John drives Marlena to the Salon and tells her he will wait for her. They talk about Alex. He tells her that as her husband he is concerned and he wants to make sure that she’s getting the best possible care. Marlena asks him what it will take to satisfy him. He doesn’t know. Marlena asks if he is jealous. John says a little because she turned to a stranger rather than her family. Marlena feels that she has known him for a long time. That’s what worries John – he feels Alex is way too familiar with her. As he’s waiting Roman comes along. They talk for a bit about Marlena – John says he has to get her away from Dr. North. Roman tells him if he needs any help to call. Inside Marlena gets a call on her cell. Alex says remember the music. Marlena hears the music and goes into a trance and walks out the door while John is sitting around wondering what’s taking her so long.

Preview: Shawn to Mimi – So are we going to talk about it? Mimi – About what? About the kiss and how good it felt. Roman to Sami – What you did was commit treason and it could carry the death penalty. Austin to Kate – She is going to get off and it’s all thanks to you. John to Marlena – What is it? Marlena – I want a divorce.

Pat’s Spoilers

John talks to Izzy on the phone – about the baby and about Marlena. He tells her to look after the baby and he’ll take care of Marlena. He gets a call from Tek (hmm… he found time in the midst of the mass hysteria at the jail house to have Dr. North watched for John…strange…). Tek tells him that Dr. North left the penthouse. They don’t know where he went because he lost the guys tailing him. John goes inside the salon and finds out that Marlena left out the back door without paying while the lady went to get her some tea. John takes off through the back door. Marlena ends up outside the Java Café listening to the music on her cell phone. Alex shows up and thanks her for meeting him. He starts to work on her. He tells her she looks beautiful. Something her husband doesn’t tell her often her not which is why she feels so insecure with him. He tells her she’s beautiful inside and out and he would love her no matter what she looked like. That’s what true love is. Marlena does want to call John and tell him where she is but Alex talks her out of it. A bicyclist comes by and almost knocks into Marlena. Alex ‘saves’ her and tells the guy off. Marlena repeats the mantra – I’m always safe with you. They go inside. Alex tells her he’s worried that since they’ve returned to Salem their progress has been hindered. Marlena is worried. He assures her it’s not too late as long as she does exactly what he says. Out comes the pendant.

John shows up and Marlena is sitting alone at a table. How he doesn’t know that something is seriously off with her is beyond me. She appears disoriented – she doesn’t appear to know why she’s there. She tells him she was thirsty so she came here. He says the lady was bringing her tea. She says she wanted something cold. He asks her where her drink is – she says that she hasn’t got her order yet. They go on to have a really good conversation about Belle and the baby. Marlena is so excited when John tells her the baby has her eyes. She wants to go get some stuff for the baby and Belle. She asks if she saved any of Belle’s baby stuff. He’s says it’s all in storage. She wants him to take her there and maybe they can find something to take with them to the hospital. John says this is the most normal conversation they’ve had since her amnesia. He’s confident she’s on the verge of a break through. Alex shows up with coffee. John tells him they were having a private conversation and asks him to leave. Alex says that’s up to Marlena. Marlena tells Alex she is fine with John – he can go. As he’s leaving he holds up the pendant again. John continues talking happily – he’s so proud that Marlena spoke up for herself. She tells him what she has to say to him she wanted to say in private. John thinks she remembers him. She tells him that she wants a divorce. Cue shocked look.

Sami is being brought into the police station. She complains to her dad that her cuffs are too tight. There’s a teeming mass of reporters. Roman yells that there will be no statement today. Tek says something but I couldn’t hear over all the questions the reporters were asking …LOL! Roman gets her inside the main precinct room. He tells Sami he can’t help her – it’s out of his hands. Austin is with Sami. Kate makes her way in. Roman asks her what the hell is she doing here. Why ask – she’s there to gloat. Good lord, that smug sneer of hers ….GRRRR. Sami starts in on her – hurling the b word. Sami says that if she ends up in jail she’s going to make sure Kate ends up there as well. She wants to know why Kate hasn’t been arrested for drugging her and Brandon – she must have broken a lot of laws doing that. Austin tells Kate she shouldn’t be there – go home. She say good idea, you can drive me. Austin makes it clear he won’t leave. Mickey arrives. Austin apparently called him. He wants to make sure Sami hasn’t been questioned without her attorney present. Roman says they should go in the office and get started. Austin or it could have been Mickey suggests someone else should do it – conflict of interest and all but Roman will do his job. Kate says she has more information for Roman so the DA can add to the list of charges. While Roman is talking to Austin and Mickey Kate tells Sami she’s going to tell Roman about the drugs that Stan pushed on John. Sami isn’t worried – she knows that John doesn’t want it to come out that he was an addict and besides she has no proof.

Inside Roman’s office Roman asks Sami if it would be okay to tape the statement. Mickey says as long as they get a copy. Roman tells Sami that she’ll be going to prison for a long long time. Sami tells him she won’t go back to prison. What about Will – he needs her. Roman tells her that Will doesn’t even live with her anymore. He goes on about how she endangered Rex, Brady, Lucas, Shawn & Phil’s lives. She protests that she didn’t know she was working for Tony. She says she is the one that saved their lives – doesn’t that count for anything. Roman tells her that she committed treason. She could get the death penalty. Sami is getting close to being hysterical. She says she won’t go back on death row. She’ll kill herself first. She didn’t know Tony was setting her up.

Austin and Kate – I won’t go into a lot of detail on their discussion. I lost track of how many times Austin told her to go home. She just picks and picks and picks at Sami. Kate can’t understand how Austin allowed Sami to get her hooks back into him even after she ruined his life. She says look what she did to Lucas and Will. Austin says I understand that you played a big part in that. Kate ignores that and goes on to say that you’ve only been home 12 hours and she already manipulated you into spending the night with her. He explains that he slept on the couch – she needed him. Kate really sinks low when she harangues him and asks him if the sex is that good. Austin says he loves her but for the sake of their relationship she better leave. She doesn’t. She wants to know why he’s there. He tells her that Sami needs a friend. He knows what it’s like when your world falls apart and you have no one to lean on. She says she has her family. He goes down the list and points out why they aren’t there. Kate just won’t quit. He tells her enough – there isn’t anything she could tell him about Sami that he doesn’t know. She says she’s not so sure about that. She tells him how she worked with Tony, a wanted criminal, a fugitive … Austin asks her to repeat what she said. She says she worked with Tony … Austin says ‘that’s it. It’s been staring me in the face the whole time. You did it Mom, you saved Sami. You just showed me how Sami will get off and all the charges will be dropped. Sami will be free and it’s all thanks to you.’ Kate looks stunned.

Mimi has a flashback to the moments leading to the kiss and then the kiss. Lots more of the kiss in the flashback than what originally showed. She traces her bottom lip with her finger and has another flashback to the kiss. She tells herself to stop obsessing about it. Shawn and I are just friends – he was just trying to cheer me up. She decides she’ll make pancakes because food is a good distraction. On the way to the cupboard she stops closes her eyes and touches her lips again. She throws out her hands and says God do I need one now. Shawn says need one what? Pancakes – she’s starving. She tells him she can make him some too. Shawn picks up an orange and starts playing with it. She asks him what he’s got planned for the day. He says he’s going to look for a second job – not that he doesn’t like working for her mother but he’s barely making enough to get by. Mimi says she’d like to get another job, working for tips sucks but with her heavy class load she doesn’t think she could handle it. They exchange looks – so cute, Mimi looks like she doesn’t know is she should look at him – Shawn smirks and says so are we going to talk about it? She says about what. Shawn says, “The kiss and how good it felt”.

Mimi says you thought the kiss felt good. Shawn – Yeah he did. Maybe they just needed to relax and distract themselves. Mimi is puzzled and says distract ourselves? Shawn goes on to talk about the really hard day and he lists the wedding that didn’t happen, the terrorist alert, Belle having her baby and seeing her and the baby and Belle and Philip (he’s rambling …LOL) That brought up a bunch of stuff for both of us. Mimi - Yeah, it sure did. Shawn – And you were there for me through all of that and I will never forget that. (LOL – Lots of hand movement and head movement – and the orange sure gets a workout). She tells him they were there for each other. She goes to sit on the couch with him. Mimi – About the kiss… Shawn – Yeah about that – for me it was like shock treatment. Love the expression on Mimi’s face – she says “Why doesn’t that sound like a good thing?” Shawn stumbles over his words and repeats them a few things but in the end it boils down to it is a good thing – it was a good thing. It made me realise me that my relationship with Belle is in the past, in the past (he does the hand signal for pushing something to the side) and I’ve moved on. Mimi – Thanks to me??? Shawn – Yeah, you know last night was the first time I didn’t have a dream about Belle. Mimi – Really, you didn’t? Shawn – I dreamt about us. Mimi – You did? Shawn – Yeah, well you and I have been having so much fun together as roommates and working together. So if you would have told me a few months ago that Belle and I … that you we were… that I would have a life without her… Mimi – You’ve showed me the possibility that there’s life without Rex. So I guess we’re going to be okay. Shawn – yeah we’re going to be okay. Shawn – So about that kiss. I’m really sorry (lots of stumbling again… it never should have happened. It was a total mistake.

Mimi – What do you mean the kiss was a mistake? I thought you said it helped you. Shawn says it did. He goes on to explain that by grabbing her like that he was only thinking of himself. He didn’t think about how uncomfortable he’d be making her feel. She tells him she didn’t feel uncomfortable. His reaction is priceless. ‘You weren’t?” He says it’s just two friends kissing under the stars like that only happens in the movies. She asks him why he did it then. He says he doesn’t know it felt right at the time. Mimi says it felt right for her too. He tells her he meant what he said to her. She thanks him. He just doesn’t want to mess up anything between them. Mimi says about the kiss – you may have initiated it but it wasn’t one-sided. We kissed each other. It wasn’t a kiss-kiss. It was totally innocent. Shawn says cool – he doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. She tells him it’s not ruined. She goes to make the pancakes. Shawn goes to the counter and tells her that he’s going to take a shower. She tells him not to be long because the pancakes will be ready. He wants to make sure that everything is alright between them. Mimi says yes, the kiss was nice but it didn’t mean anything to me. She turns her back to get something from the cupboard. Shawn thinks to himself, “It sure as hell meant something to me.”

Preview: Jennifer – This is a very serious drug. Why is my husband taking it? Jack talking to himself – I don’t want to put them through the pain of watching me die. Come Halloween I’m out of here. Kate to Sami – You are going down and I hope you fry. Marlena to John – That’s why I need you out. That’s why I need to be alone. John to Alex – Now I understand. You are the one behind this, pal.

Janice’s Spoilers

Jack & Jennifer’s House: Jack, Jennifer, Frankie

Jack is still sitting at the computer with Frankie looking over his shoulder. He talks about how grateful he is that Frankie is keeping his last secret. Frankie is still upset and can’t believe that Jack is just going to do a disappearing act and die all alone without telling Jennifer the truth. Jack argues that he can’t put his family through the pain and agony of watching him die. Frankie asks him if he has any idea just how angry and upset “she’ll” be, just as Jennifer walks in. She wants to know what it is she will be angry and upset about.

Jack tap dances and tells her that she won’t be upset…more like…disappointed. He tells her that he’s on a research project and knows she’s upset because he didn’t ask for her help, but it’s confidential for now. Jennifer reminds him that they’ve never ever kept secrets from each other. Jack persists and says he has to do this on his own. Frankie gives him a dirty look as Jack further explains that Frankie knows about it but she can’t….when the time is right she will realize why he couldn’t share it with her.

Jennifer backs off and tells them that she has a pot of coffee ready. Jack wants to keep working so he sends Jennifer and Frankie away to drink it. Jennifer thinks that Jack is being very mysterious. They leave and Jack mumbles that he has to get back to his project—to find an expedient and painless way to die.

Jennifer and Frankie talk about Jack’s surprise party. She’s wondering if she should get a live band or a DJ. Frankie’s mind is on something else. She asks him what’s wrong. He tells her that he thinks the party is a bad idea.

Meanwhile, Jack is accessing the Spectator’s archives. He can’t believe that there are so many ways to…shuffle off this mortal coil (taken from Shakespeare’s Hamlet). We get a quick flashback to him talking with Lexie. Then he starts listing different ways to die: electrocution—too shocking! Suffocation—too stuffy and slow! Wrist slitting—too messy. (I have to say that this part offended me. jmo)

Frankie tells Jennifer that he doesn’t think Jack is up for the party but she disagrees. She explains about how she has invited people from Jack’s past. Frankie changes his mind and agrees with her. He thinks that this might be just what Jack needs to change his mind. Jennifer is confused and wants to know what Jack needs to change his mind about.

Jack is still on the computer. He’s picked Halloween as the perfect time. The phone rings and it’s his mother, Jo. Jack says that he hasn’t forgotten to pick up Jack Jr. He tells Jo that Vern can teach Jack Jr. to read all the by-lines. After Jack hangs up, he says...Chip off the old block…looks back at the computer screen and says...yep this is the perfect way to go.

Frankie tells Jennifer that having old friends and family around him will be good for Jack. Jennifer decides to go make Jack take a coffee break. Jack tells her that his project is going great. He’s going to go pick up Jack Jr. She’s happy that he’s so excited. He leaves and Jennifer turns to Frankie. She wants to know what’s going on and asks him if Jack is throwing her a surprise party. Frankie is subdued and says it’s not like that. Jennifer notices Jack forgot his coat. She takes it and starts to go after him but a pill bottle falls out of the pocket. She reads the label and says that she worked at a clinic in Africa with her dad and knows that this is a very serious drug.

Outside, Jack leans against the fence and repeats that he can’t let his family watch him suffer...come Halloween, he’s out of there. Inside, Jennifer wants to know why her husband is taking it and looks up the medication on the Internet. When she realizes it’s used for a fatal illness, Jennifer gasps and says: OMG! My husband is dying? Frankie looks upset.

The Penthouse: Marlena, John, Alex

Marlena asks John if they need to do this. John looks at her in amazement and tells her that yes they do, given that she just told him she wants a divorce in the middle of a coffeehouse. He wants to talk to her in private and looks angrily at Alex. Marlena tells him calmly that she’ll just have her lawyer call his. She doesn’t want alimony so she doesn’t understand what the big deal is (gosh this Marlena is very spooky). John can’t believe she is doing this today of all days…her birthday. He tells her that he had plans for a celebration and hoped it would help her memory return.

Marlena is surprised that it’s her birthday. Alex rags on John that he knows the rules and should have told him his plans. John tells him to butt out. Marlena tells John not to take his anger out on her doctor. But John can’t figure out why this is happening when Marlena was making progress...they were talking about Belle and the baby and then all of a sudden... She tells him that she doesn’t love him…she feels like she’s living with a stranger…hates the pressure he is putting on her and the way he undermines her faith in Dr. North…and she wants him out...wants to be alone. John looks at Alex and says that he understands now…the doctor is the one behind all this. Alex plays innocent and Marlena backs him up.

John pulls Alex aside and says he’s had enough of him. Alex feels the same about John. He accuses John of pushing his wife over the edge. He thinks that keeping John and Marlena apart is for John’s own good so that Marlena can get her memory back. John is positive that Alex is behind this divorce and has tried to keep them apart from day 1. He threatens to throw him off the balcony if he doesn’t leave. Alex replies that he doesn’t think it will be that easy to throw him out and that it would upset his patient. John suggests that Alex use the front door. Alex says that he will do that but Marlena won’t change her mind. He goes over to his patient and tells her that she and John need some private time. Marlena hesitates. Alex says he won’t be gone long and leaves.

John is smiling now. Marlena is militant and sure it won’t change anything just because they are now alone. He gives her a birthday present—photo album. She asks him if this is his way of getting her to remember. He asks her point blank if she doesn’t want to remember and tells her to open it and then he will leave if that’s what she really wants. They look at a picture of Izzy’s first Christmas. Marlena talks about how beautiful Belle was and still is. Next is a picture of Brady’s first day at cub scouts…John and Marlena on a date. John talks about wearing 50’s costumes (flashback). Marlena is laughing. He tells her that they always had fun.

Marlena sees a picture of their wedding. John mentions it being one of the happiest days of their lives. We get a wedding flashback. He reminds her that they vowed to stay together until death do them part. Marlena’s eyes fill with tears. She tells him that she has seen enough. John asks her if it helped but she tells him no. She does admit that they appear to have had some amazing times together. He tells her that there are more moments to be made if she’ll just give it a chance…they’ve been through tougher times. He tells her about his memory loss before he met her (I love Drake here) and that he’s still lived a life that is fuller than any man could hope for…that he and Marlena were sustained by love. He knows he loves her and that she still loves him. They get lean into each other and are about to kiss just as the phone rings.

Marlena answers the phone and Alex is on the other end. He tells her to listen to the music and she’ll know what she has to do. John wants to know who it is. Marlena looks right out of it so John takes the phone from her and wants to know if it’s North calling. Alex hangs up. Marlena tells him it wasn’t Alex, but just a wrong number. John tells her that he’ll take her word for it and wants to continue where they left off. Marlena tells him she can’t…doesn’t want to take another pointless walk down memory lane…she can’t remember the past and doesn’t believe they have a future…still wants a divorce!

Salem Police Department: Austin, Kate, Sami, Mickey, Roman

Austin thanks Kate because she gave him the answers he needed to save Sami. He bangs on Roman’s office door and yells that he needs to tell them something. Roman lets him in and he tells Sami that there is no way he will let her die for what she did. Roman wants to know what’s happening. Mickey tells Austin and Sami that avoiding conviction won’t be easy and recommends that she plead guilty if the death penalty is taken off the table.

Austin tells them that it won’t go to trial. Kate disagrees. Roman says that Shawn, Brady, Lucas, Philip, and Rex will be subpoenaed to testify against Sami. Sami says she never wanted them to die. Austin acknowledges this but reaffirms that Sami can’t be prosecuted for the charges she’s been accused of. They all look at him in confusion. Mickey tells him he’s wrong and that Sami can’t deny that she was Stan and did those terrible things…therefore the charge is high treason. Austin tells them that they have the wrong facts and asks Sami to tell them how she ended up becoming Stan.

Sami talks about Kate drugging her and Brandon and how upset she was…there was a mysterious benefactor who convinced her to become Stan. She didn’t know Tony was behind it all…admits to wanting to hurt everyone who had hurt and betrayed her, but she didn’t. Sami talks about John siding with Kate and being upset about that and the fact that Kate moved in with him…about Tony tricking her onto a plane and ending up in a war zone and a bunker with Philip…about Tony showing her proof that her parents were still alive. Kate butts in and says: “That’s when you committed treason and almost got my sons killed.”

Austin tells them that it wasn’t even close to treason. Shawn, Brady, Lucas, and Rex weren’t in the military, were just mercenaries, and were actually being hunted by the marines for escaping custody…Tony wasn’t a declared enemy; therefore she wasn’t working with an enemy of the country. Kate starts arguing. Austin says he believes Sami kept up the Stan disguise for protection and that she didn’t do anything while she was under U.S. jurisdiction (um…shouldn’t Mickey have figured this out?) As a matter of fact, Sami saved the guys from Tony so in his opinion she isn’t a criminal...she’s a hero.

Roman tells Mickey that Austin might be right. Mickey says that under the law, Sami might not be prosecutable for any of those crimes. Mickey and Roman leave to make a few calls. Kate wants to know what Sami did to Austin overnight. Austin rags on her and tells her that Sami is not a traitor. He tells her if she hadn’t interfered in the first place…and Sami saved his brothers and Shawn and Brady. Sami agrees with him. Kate looks very upset by this turn of events and tells Sami that she hopes she fries. She backtracks when Austin looks at her in astonishment. Sami goes at her as well for everything she did to her.

Roman and Mickey return. They say that the D.A. and the Attorney General both agree with Austin and the charges have been dropped and Sami is free to go (um…sorry to be a broken record, but wouldn’t they have checked all this out before they laid the charges in the first place??) Kate is flabbergasted. Sami goes into Austin’s arms and thanks him. He tells her to thank his mother… lol…because she was the one to remind him of what Sami had done. Sami thanks Kate very nicely.

Previews:

At the spa: Bonnie tells Mimi that it’s time for her to rope and brand her initials on Shawn Brady’s butt.

Jack tells Jennifer that he loves her for saying that, but that they aren’t going to cheat death this time…they just aren’t.

Janice’s Spoilers

Inside Brady Pub: Caroline, Shawn, Bo

Inside the pub, Shawn is looking at the want ads—we see one circled in red. He starts grinning and has a flashback of kissing Mimi. Caroline comes along and is sure he’s daydreaming about a girl because she’s raised sons and she knows that look. Bo walks up and picks up on her words. Caroline tells her son that she always knew when he or Roman had girls on the brain and thinks Shawn is getting over Belle. Bo responds that Shawn doesn’t have much choice. Shawn agrees with him. Caroline persists and wants to know who the girl is that Shawn is thinking about. Shawn smiles sheepishly.

Shawn tells her no offence but that he doesn’t want t talk about his love life. Caroline just smiles and remembering she has an appointment to keep, walks away. Bo sits down. He asks his son whether he wants to talk to his old man. Shawn says there’s nothing to talk about.

Bo asks whether the girl is Mimi. Shawn wants to know how he figured that out. Bo tells him that they live together and are close. Shawn finally admits to it and Bo asks him if he is going to pursue the relationship. Shawn says he’s not sure…there could be more. He tells his dad that he’s not sure if either he or Mimi is ready to move on yet…he doesn’t want to hurt her…he cares about her…she’s been there for him. Bo suggests that Shawn go pay the “little girl” a visit and gives him a rose from the table for her. Shawn takes it and leaves.

The Spa: Mimi, Gloriane, Bonnie

Gloriane tells Mimi that it’s good to see her. She remembers the last time Mimi came in, when they were getting her dolled up for a big night, and asks to see her ring. Mimi is a little sad and doesn’t say anything.

Gloriane notices that her ring finger is bare. She’s berates herself but still asks whether a certain someone wasn’t supposed to be proposing to Mimi. Mimi tells her that she thought so but he didn’t, so she did but he said no, and then he did and she said yes, but then they broke things off. Gloriane asks her if there is any chance of reconciliation but Mimi says no and that he got a dream job in another city. Gloriane figures that Rex must have gotten cold feet. She goes into a song and dance about men thinking women are so stupid and asks Mimi if she is seeing someone else. Mimi tells her that Rex is a good guy.

Mimi remembers the kiss with Shawn (flashback) but says that there isn’t much to tell. Gloriane looks at her and realizes there is someone and wants to know who. She bets that Mimi hasn’t told another soul but she can see it in her eyes. On the other side of the room, Bonnie (wearing a green facial mask, cucumbers in her eyes, and a robe) sits up and listens in. Mimi tells Gloriane that it's Shawn Brady. The other woman says excitedly…get out! Bonnie, still listening in, nods her head. Gloriane wants to know all about him. Mimi tells her tentatively about Shawn being her first crush/kiss. Gloriane is sensing a “but” somewhere then adds that she bets he has a cute one of those too...lol...

Mimi explains about her first kiss in Paris, but she probably wasn’t a great kisser because he started dating her best friend for years, until she married another guy and had a baby. Gloriane wants to know what the problem is. Bonnie jumps out and agrees with Gloriane. Mimi wants to know what her mother is doing there. Bonnie says that she just came for a wax and eats a cucumber. She tells Mimi that it’s time for her to rope and brand her initials on Shawn Brady’s butt…and she’s got just the thing to help her do it.

Mimi is amazed that her mother ran out to her car in just her robe. LOL…busy place today because a robed Caroline opens the curtain (she’s on the bed next to Mimi) and says that she can’t believe it either. Bonnie comes back with a rope and branding iron and shows them to her daughter. Mimi can’t believe she was serious. Caroline says hi to her and Bonnie looks mortified. Gloriane tells her to leave her sex toys there and they go.

Mimi tells Caroline she’s sorry that Bonnie did that. Caroline gives Bonnie the benefit of the doubt and assumes that she didn’t mean those things literally. Mimi tries to convince Caroline that there is nothing going on between her and Shawn, but Caroline tells her that she got the impression that there might be...because grandmothers know these things. Mimi admits that they kissed but thinks it’s a little bizarre to be talking about this to Shawn’s grandma. She tells Caroline that the kiss was intense but that’s all it was, so she wonders… Caroline finishes the sentence for her…if there might be something more? She then tells Mimi if she wants to find out for sure, then this is what she has to do…

Mimi has gone home. Caroline is talking to Bonnie. She tells her that Mimi went home to make dinner for Shawn. Bonnie is sure that she will lose him for good…lol… Caroline tells her it’s her recipe and Bonnie thinks they should bring Shawn and Mimi dessert.

Shawn & Mimi’s Loft: Shawn & Mimi

Shawn walks into the loft and sees Mimi making dinner (Caroline’s macaroni and cheese recipe). He excited and can’t believe she’s doing it. He tells her that he loves macaroni and cheese. She tells him that she knows he likes it crispy and burnt on top. Shawn gives her the rose. She’s surprised and thanks him, saying that its beautiful (awww...very sweet moment). He tells her that she is too and softly brushes flour off her cheek and nose. Then he kisses her cheek and she closes her eyes...sigh...

Outside Brady Pub: Kate

Kate is standing outside the club…slightly verklempt…lol… We get a flashback of watching Austin thank her at the police station for helping to free Sami from those charges. Back in the present, she still thinks there is one other thing that Sami/Stan did that will put her back in jail.

Kate is blaming herself and thinks if she calls John he can help her. But she can’t get him on the phone. She suddenly realizes that there is only one place he could be (see Penthouse scenes below).

The Penthouse: John, Marlena, Alex

We see Alex, still away from the penthouse, looking at his tape recorder. He thinks back to his phone conversation with Marlena and the music he used on her. Turning off the recorder, Alex removes a pill bottle from his pocket and murmurs…now just in case that didn’t do the trick.

John is having a hard time believing that Marlena really wants a divorce. She admits to being moved by the memories but still doesn’t remember any of it happening. John was sure that he was getting through to her until the phone rang and is sure it was from Dr. North. He asks Marlena what kind of thoughts Alex has been putting in her head/wants to know what he is doing to her. John tells her he loves her and is sure she loves him too. Marlena tells John that she doesn’t have any feelings for him now and that’s the reason she wants a divorce. She needs a separation between him and her. She wants him to move out as soon as possible.

John is shouting now. He can’t believe she really wants him to move out and wonders if she isn’t thinking clearly. Marlena tells him that he is right and she can’t think clearly right now, but maybe if he moves out, she will be able to figure out her life. John’s phone rings and he answers it with an exasperated shout…WHAT! It’s Kate and she asks him if he is okay. John spits out that it isn’t a good time and hangs up on her.

Alex walks into the penthouse and asks John if he’s okay. John yells at him too and says that this is the second time he’s been asked that question in the last 24 hours…lol… He tells Alex that no he isn’t okay and shouts for him to get out of his house. He throws a vase against the wall. Alex tells him calmly that he is just trying to serve his patient. John volleys back that the only thing the good doctor was trying to serve at the cabin was himself. Alex reminds John that Marlena is very fragile and can’t deal with her family and friends at the moment. John disagrees. He tells Alex that her family and friends are the only ones who can help her deal with this and turns to Marlena, begging her not to make him move out. She apologizes but says her mind is made up.

John yells at Marlena that whatever Alex has done to her will stop now. He scares her and she starts to cry. She wants him to leave. He pleads with her, saying that this is their home…she can’t throw their life away. He wants to know what will happen when she remembers and realizes the mistake she has made. Marlena doesn’t say anything. John finally tells her that he’ll send for his things. He throws down the photo album and leaves the penthouse.

John is waiting at the elevator and punches the doors with his fist. The elevator opens and Kate is inside. She asks him what happened and they hug. He looks devastated.

Back inside, Alex is making his special tea for Marlena and gives it to her. She tells him that she isn’t sure if she did the right thing by asking John to go but thought it was what she should do. Alex tells her that it was a courageous thing for her to do because John has set her recovery back so much…grrrr…. Marlena mentions Belle and her baby and says she was glad she was there for them. The good doctor agrees but says that as of now they have to keep Marlena in a controlled environment. She’s happy he’s with her. He tells her that he’s her doctor and her friend. She lays her head on his shoulder.

Outside Brady’s pub, Kate wants to know why Marlena asked for a divorce. John tells her he doesn’t know and explains about them being at the Java Café…and Alex stopping by…and then Marlena asking for a divorce…so he agreed to move out. Kate asks him what his plans are now. John doesn’t want to talk about it anymore and asks her what’s new in her life. He apologizes for hanging up on her. She thinks it’s a bad time but he encourages her to talk. Kate agrees, thinking it might even help him. She asks him for his help to nail Sami once and for all and explains about Austin saving the day. She thinks that John should charge Sami with being a drug dealer.

John refuses because bringing charges against his wife’s daughter would only make things worse for them. He tells her that Sami isn’t a street dealer and when the district attorney asks him how much he had to pay for the drugs, he would have to say nothing. Kate tells him that Marlena doesn’t know what she is giving up. John tells her that Marlena may be giving up but he isn’t (Go John!) and that when he first arrived in Salem, he had the best therapist and that was Marlena. He finally says…what if I have lost her for good? (Not sure but I think Kate was smirking a little).

Inside the penthouse, Marlena is feeling woozy and Alex is playing the music box for her as she lies on the couch. He murmurs that now its time for his work to really being.

Devereaux House: Jack, Jennifer, Jack Jr., Frankie, Lexie (both Mathew and Melissa did an excellent job today)

Outside: Jack has the baby in a carriage and tells him its time to talk—man to baby…lol…the baby keeps smiling at him (very cute) He tells Jack Jr. that it’s incomprehensible that he wasn’t there for his birth and now he won’t be able to watch him grow up. He talks about how much he loves Jack Jr. and about one of his two fathers, Senator Harper Devereaux who became famous but wasn’t very nice…about being adopted…about how his other father wasn’t exactly a stand-up guy either. Jack talks about first Abigail coming along and then Jack Jr., who changed Jack’s life for the better. He knows that Jack Jr. won’t remember him, but he’s going to leave him something…a father figure…Frankie Brady. Then he admits that pushing Jennifer into another man’s arms is killing him a lot faster

Inside: Jennifer is shocked and says that she knew Jack was sick but can’t believe he is dying. She asks Frankie how she is going to live without her husband. Frankie wants her to talk to Jack about it. Jennifer realizes that Jack never wanted her to know…the medicine isn’t a cure and that Jack is simply prolonging the inevitable. They hug. Jennifer decides to call Lexie because she knows that Jack will just joke about it if she tries to talk to him. Lexie agrees to come right over. Jennifer tells Frankie that if Jack is dying she is going to find out the truth.

Outside: Jack is still talking to Jack Jr. and saying that he knows how important moms are and that having just one parent like Jennifer is the best. He hopes that the baby takes after her in every way and with Frankie as a father he’ll be okay. He wants to make sure that Jennifer wants that too.

Inside: Jennifer talks to Frankie about doctor-patient confidentiality but knows that Lexie is her friend and will tell her the truth. Lexie comes in and Jennifer shows her the pill bottle. She wants Lexie to tell her that Jack isn’t dying. Lexie stays silent and reminds Jennifer about client/patient confidentiality. Jennifer begs Lexie to tell her why she gave Jack the prescription. Lexie won’t tell her but Jennifer persists. Lexie stands firm and says she can’t help her. She tells her she has to talk to Jack. Jack appears and in a shocked voice asks Jennifer what’s wrong.

Jennifer turns to Jack and yells that she knows. Jack is nervous and wants to know what she’s talking about. Jennifer shows him the pill bottle and asks him what the pills are for. He tap dances and talks about Lexie giving him antibiotics. She yells at him to stop lying to her and explains what she found out. Jennifer and Jack go outside to talk.

Jennifer begs him to tell her it’s not true. He flippantly echoes her and says it’s not true, Jack. She’s very upset and tells him to stop it. He asks her if she knows how much he loves her right now... she and the kids have given him more than he ever asked for…except maybe the chance to grow old with them. Jennifer asks sadly…that’s not going to happen is it? He tells her he’s afraid not.

Inside: Frankie is pacing the room when Lexie comes down the stairs from checking on Jack Jr. He tells her how difficult it is to look at the baby, especially knowing what is happening to his father. He thinks that Jennifer finding the pills was for the best because there will be no more secrets.

Outside: Jennifer feels as if she has lost Jack twice in the last two years. He tells her that the third time is the charm and that he’d do anything to keep her and the kids from having to deal with this. He says that all Lexie has told him is that he doesn’t have much time left. She wants to know why he didn’t tell her before and he admits that he was in denial at the beginning.

Jennifer tells him that a husband and a wife should be in this together. He can’t bear to watch her go through the grief. She tells him she won’t because they are going to fight this...she is going to call her dad and Mike and they will find him a specialist. He loves her for saying that but they aren’t going to cheat death this time. They are both holding onto each other tightly as Frankie and Lexie watch from the window.

Janice’s Spoilers

Philip & Belle’s Loft: Philip, Belle, Claire

Philip brings Belle and the baby back to the loft. He walks in backwards so he can take pictures of their first moments at home. Belle smiles as he explains to Claire that her mommy’s daddy used to live there as well as her Uncle Brady. Philip tells Belle about the things he bought...a bassinet...baby diapers (he’s not sure if they will fit a preemie). He’s kind of nervous and tells her he hopes its okay because he really didn’t know what he was doing, and mentions that her friends and family will probably still want to have a shower for her. Belle looks overwhelmed by everything. She doesn’t think there will be a shower...her mom isn’t up to it...and Mimi isn’t exactly her best friend anymore. Philip comforts her and says she has lots of friends and will make even more when she goes to her first Mommy and Me class. He looks at the baby and muses that billions of babies have been born but this one is theirs and it’s the most amazing thing. Belle starts to cry and Philip looks at her with a worried expression.

Philip asks Belle what’s wrong. She looks at the baby and says it’s just that she loves her so much. He thinks they are happy tears. Belle explains that everything just seems so intense for her right now. Philip tells her that she must have the magic touch because the baby is already asleep. Then he tells her that she looks a little tired and possibly hungry and suggests that she lie down. She’s concerned about him being tired as well and asks if he’s okay. He brushes off his tiredness and suggests that they order Chinese food. They talk about not ordering broccoli and beef because the nurse said broccoli isn’t good for the baby, and also not to order anything too spicy. Philip tells her that he will help her when she gets up at night with the baby...changing diapers, and when she is ready to pump her milk, he will bottle feed Claire for her so she doesn’t get too tired. Belle hugs him and asks what she did to deserve the two of them. Philip says he asks himself the same thing every day.

A little later Philip comes back with bags of food. Belle thinks the food smells strange. Philip tells her it’s not the food but whatever is happening across the hall. He smiles at her as he says that something is cooking over there. Belle looks uncomfortable. All of a sudden the smoke detector goes off and Belle is worried for the baby. Philip tells her that he will go over and see what’s happening.

Shawn & Mimi’s Loft: Shawn, Mimi, Phil

Shawn kisses Mimi on the lips and thanks her for making dinner for him. He can’t remember her ever cooking before. He goes to the fridge and takes out a special bottle of wine that his Aunt Maggie gave him. He hands it over to Mimi and says that he thinks this is a very special occasion. Shawn asks her if he has time to clean up before dinner. She agrees and on his way to his room he turns back and asks her offhandedly if she did something to her hair...he likes it. After he leaves, Mimi is smiling as she reads the recipe and puts the macaroni and cheese in the oven to broil for the last ten minutes.

Mimi gets a call from Bonnie (one-sided as Bonnie isn’t on the show today). She tells her mom that no she hasn’t burned dinner yet and that Shawn gave her a rose. Bonnie obviously thinks Shawn is cheap for just getting Mimi one rose but Mimi defends him. She’s still amazed that her mom carries a rope and branding iron in her car...but no she doesn’t want to borrow it...

In the next scene, Mimi is still talking to her mom on the phone who apparently is now suggesting that Mimi employ handcuffs with Shawn. Mimi tells her that handcuffs don’t have the best association for either of them, just as she smells smoke and realizes that dinner is burning. She screams at her mom...thanks a lot...and throws down the phone to try and stop the smoke. The smoke detector starts going off.

The loft is now full of smoke as Mimi tries to fix the mess. Philip comes in to see if they’re okay. Shawn comes out and smiles comfortingly saying that burnt macaroni and cheese are his favourite. Philip invites them to come over for Chinese food. He tells them that they have enough to feed the whole building and explains how he brought Belle and the baby home. Shawn is surprised but Philip says that Lexie thought they were doing so well that she let them go a day early. He wants them to come over and celebrate the homecoming. Mimi looks very uncomfortable but Shawn says they will be there and Philip leaves. Mimi tells Shawn to go by himself. He asks her why and she tells him that she doesn’t think she can handle it right now.

Mimi tells Shawn that whenever she looks at Claire it reminds her that she won’t ever have a child of her own. Shawn feels bad but adds that god forbid if anything should happen to Philip and Belle...the baby would become their responsibility. Mimi thinks about it and says that it might be the closest she’ll ever get to having a child of her own. Shawn tells her not to say that. She smiles at him and says that as long as he is around to support her then she’ll do it. He smiles and says he will be and picking up the bottle of wine they go to have dinner across the hall.

Belle and Philip’s Loft Part II: Belle, Philip, Claire, Shawn, Mimi

Philip comes back and tells Belle what happened. Belle tells Claire that daddy’s home now and everything will be okay. He looks at her sheepishly and admits to inviting Shawn and Mimi over for dinner. She tells him it’s okay and that it was really nice of him to do that. Belle gets a sad look on her face and Philip asks her about it. She explains that now the baby is home, there lives will never be the same. Philip says that their lives will get better every day.

Shawn and Belle come in and Mimi asks Belle how she is doing. Belle tells her she’s fine...just a little tired. They all smile as the baby catches hold of Shawn’s finger and he remembers when J.T. was the small. Belle watches as Mimi puts an arm around him and they smile at each other. Later they are all sitting at the table. Philip pours wine for Mimi and Shawn and water for him and Belle. He decides to give a toast: to good friends, loving relationships and beautiful, healthy children. Mimi hears the words and looks upset. She won’t clink her glass with Shawn’s, so he covers her hand with his in sympathy. Belle looks overwhelmed and presses fingers to her temple. Philip looks confused.

The Penthouse: Marlena & Alex

The music box is still playing in the background. Marlena is second-guessing herself over her decision about John. Alex plays hardball and tells her that she’ll be better off without him.

Alex is talking in a very reasonable voice. Each time Marlena talks about John and how unsure she is, he comes up with a reason why she’s better without him in her life...grrrr... badmouthing John for being very controlling. He reminds her of how she has been desperate to get John out of her life for quite a while and that she was the one who asked for a divorce. He hammers in the final nail saying that John and her desperation might be a contributing factor to her memory loss.

Marlena is confused. She reminds Alex that John wants her to remember their life together because he loves her. Alex looks annoyed and wonders if she might subconsciously fighting not to remember that life. She tells him that people keep telling her that it was a wonderful life. Alex is back to badmouthing John and tells her that maybe it’s just what John wants her to believe...so if her marriage was so great...why did she sleep with her ex-husband? Marlena looks upset and tells him she doesn’t know. He goes in for the kill and asks her why John got involved with Kate so quickly after he thought Marlena was dead.

Alex keeps manipulating Marlena and talks about how both she and John were unfaithful to each other...that doesn’t signal a perfect recipe for marriage to him. He tells her that John is only thinking about himself and that the more she was around John the more she wanted him to leave...didn’t she? She tells him reluctantly that she guesses so and then... you are the only person I can trust, right? She knows that he will never lie or hurt her. Alex affirms that and says that as long as she trusts him, he will do all in his power to ensure her happiness. She asks if he thinks that she will ever get her memory back. He gives a backhanded answer and this is the start of his compliments...grrr...first he tells her that she’s a vital and intelligent woman and that even if she never gets her memory back, she’ll still be happy...her future is in front of her...so many would love to wipe the slate clean and start again...maybe she’ll be one of them.

Now Alex and Marlena are on the balcony and looking out at the evening sky. She tells him it’s beautiful. He’s staring at her and tells her that SHE certainly is. Marlena looks at him curiously and asks him if he just called her beautiful. He tells her she is...inside and out...she’s caring, intelligent, perceptive...etc. Marlena laughs deprecatingly and tells him...too many compliments...she doesn’t deserve them. He tells her she does and continues...she’s compassionate...loving. She laughs like a little girl. He tells her he’ll stop under one condition. (I’m sorry but I found this scene really ridiculous).

In the next scene, Marlena is dancing with Alex on the balcony. She tells him that dancing with him is not very difficult.

Kate’s Suite: John & Kate

John walks Kate up to the door of her suite. He doesn’t want to go inside, thanks her for inviting him up there, but doesn’t think he’ll be good company. He wonders if he shouldn’t get a room down the hall. Kate protests that its nonsense for him to do so...he can stay with her. John looks at her uncomfortably and tells her point blank that because he isn’t giving up on his marriage he doesn’t think it would be a good idea for him to...

Kate stops him cold and tells him that her suite has a guest bedroom. He looks at her sheepishly. She goes on to talk about how tired she is of looking at the four empty walls and wondering if she has a friend left in the world. He disagrees. She gives him a list...an ex-husband who won’t talk to her...a son who won’t talk to her...another son... John tells her that Austin didn’t want to hurt her. She knows that but can’t understand why he would defend Sami when she ruined his life.

John doesn’t want to make excuses for Sami but talks about how somewhere in the girl there is the sweet little thing he raised (awww....Go John! I’m glad he remembered). Kate refuses to listen. John thinks they should talk about the positive...Austin is back...Billie found her daughter... Kate tells him that Chelsea is a hellion but has potential. He adds their new baby granddaughter to the list. She says that Claire is beautiful and how when Philip lost his leg she thought things would be bad for him but that he has gained a lot and is very happy now. She’s proud of both Philip and Belle. He agrees.

Kate asks him if it was really just a short time ago that they both thought Roman and Marlena were dead and had started planning their future. John blames himself for ruining Kate and Roman’s marriage as well as his. She disagrees reminding him that Marlena was pregnant with Roman’s baby when they came back. He mentions proposing to her and that they both know that neither Roman and Marlena would have done anything if
Tony hadn’t shown them the videotape. Kate doesn’t think its John’s fault and says that her marriage to Roman was doomed from the start...she underestimated how much Roman still loved Marlena.

John believes that Marlena would still be married to Roman today if it weren’t for the DiMeras’. Kate says she also misjudged a parent’s love and ability to overlook a child’s faults. John figures they are talking about Sami again. She believes that Roman loves Sami more that he does her, but that she loves her children too much to put Sami above them. Changing the subject, Kate asks if Dr. North is still at the penthouse. John confirms it and that because North keeps telling her that John is pushing too hard, he wasn’t in a position to do much else than leave when she asked him to. Kate turns to him and suggests that if he moves in with her that can be a team and come up with a plan. He wonders what people would think if he did that? She’s pretty sure that most people think the worst anyway.

John walks up to her windows and opens them wide. Then he says...I’ll be damned as he looks across the way. He never knew you could see the penthouse from there. Kate comes up beside him and says that she never realized it either...but since the Madison Hotel was torn down... John thinks he can see Marlena and Alex and wonders what they are doing. Kate says she thinks she has a pair of binoculars somewhere.

John looks again and says he can’t believe it...what the hell is North up to. Kate tells him quietly that he’s probably already thought of this but it’s pretty obvious that Dr. North wants Marlena to himself, and he probably thinks no one can stop him from getting what he wants now.

Devereaux House: Jack & Jennifer, Frankie & Lexie

Inside: Frankie & Lexie are still watching Jack and Jennifer. Frankie thinks it’s a tragedy but that it’s better for Jennifer to know the truth about Jack’s dying now than after the fact. He admits to Lexie that he has been telling Jack for weeks to tell her the truth. Lexie looks at him in astonishment. She can’t believe he knew about it and didn’t tell Jennifer. Frankie looks at her sadly.

Lexie can understand how she was bound by the Hippocratic Oath and couldn’t reveal Jack’s secret to Jennifer, but for the life of her can’t understand why Frankie didn’t. Frankie looks very upset and tells her that Jack made him promise. He’s glad that Jennifer knows now because she can be there for him. Then he looks at Lexie in embarrassment and asks her if she wants to know something really crazy. He tells her that the only reason Jack told him the truth is that he wants him to marry Jennifer and be a father to his children after he’s gone. Lexie looks at him in amazement.

Frankie picks up a framed picture of Jennifer and looks at it, wearing his heart on his sleeve. He explains how upset he was that Jack asked him to do this. She says...but then you realized you were still in love with her. He reluctantly admits it but says that it is killing him to see all of them go through this. He tells Lexie that he stayed away from Salem and his family for years because of his feelings. He puts the picture down. She asks him why he came back now. Frankie talks about Max being here...at least that was the excuse he gave himself... in all honesty he needed to see for himself just how much Jennifer is in love with Jack so that he can move on and put it all behind him... Now he’s holding a picture of Jen, Jack and the kids. He says...but now everything has changed. He’s glad that Jennifer knows the truth about Jack and plans to support them in anyway he can. (I love how honest and honourable Frankie was about his feelings).

Outside:

Jennifer pleads with tears in her eyes for Jack not to give up yet. He tries to reason with her and says that they have to accept that he is dying. Finally he shouts NO and tells her that this was the exact reason why he didn’t want to tell her the truth. She asks him how he expected her to act after she found out that her husband didn’t trust her enough to tell her what was happening to him. Then she reminds him that he did the same thing when Abby got sick...he just left. Jack denies that it’s the same thing. Jennifer tells him that she grieved for him twice before...she thought he wasn’t coming back again...twice. She looks at him pleadingly and says that their life together is a miracle in itself...how can he give up?

Jack and Jennifer sit down. He tells her that they are both journalists and journalists deal in facts. He says he is dying and that is a fact...he’s not afraid of dying but he is afraid of living and seeing her and the children watch him die a slow, painful death. Jennifer turns to him calmly and tells him he doesn’t have to worry about that because they won’t let that happen. Jack tells her she is in denial. She reminds him about how he beat cancer...survived kidney disease...he has beaten death and never gives up on anything. He just tells her that he doesn’t want to waste any of the time he has left...

Jack tells Jennifer that they should live their lives as if today is their last day...it’s just that his last day is coming a little sooner than they thought. He wants to enjoy the time he has left with his family. He doesn’t want to think about dying. She tells him offhandedly that she can do it and it won’t be hard at all. Jack is in shock and asks her...it won’t be hard to forget that he’s dying??? She smiles and says it won’t be because it isn’t going to happen...he isn’t going to die...she knows this in her heart.

Fall Mixer: Max, Abby, Chelsea, Josh

Max is supposed to be registering applicants for the Light the Night Walk but he keeps being interrupted by female autograph seekers. Abby comes up to him and he tells her that he’s happy to help her in her efforts to raise funds for leukemia and lymphoma. She tells him that most of the people on her list are girls. Maxi is impressed that Abby is doing this, especially when she is a college freshman. Abby explains that she also suffered from aplastic anemia and needed a bone marrow transplant.

Chelsea turns up, dressed in sleazy Kate fashion, with some guys trailing behind her. They want to sign up for the walk. Abby leaves and sees Josh. He asks her to dance with him. In the meantime, Chelsea vamps Max. Max teases Chelsea. Chelsea initiates a big kiss. A few girls stand by and watch. One of them wonders out loud how much it cost Chelsea for the kiss. Max overhears and thinks maybe he can make more money for the cause by selling his kisses. Chelsea decides to check on Abby.

Max brings her some coffee. She gets her lipstick out of her purse and ends up dropping a picture of her first parents on the floor, telling Max how much she misses them. Max thinks Chelsea is lucky that she still has loving parents. He tells her about his growing up and how he hardly remembers his mother…and his father (Trent) who beat him so much of the time. Then he talks about being in a foster home or an orphanage and how he met Frankie. Max explains that he was traumatized and couldn’t speak, so Frankie spoke for him….he thinks of Shawn and Caroline as his parents…talks of how Trent came to Salem but didn’t stay once he realized that Max was happy. Chelsea tells him that she wouldn’t mind Billie leaving town so she would be left alone.

Josh and Abby show up and invite them to the Java Café. Abby says they made $600.00 and that doesn’t include the walk pledges. She’s looking forward to telling her dad because he’ll be so proud of her.

Alice’s restaurant: Nicole, Lucas, Victor, Kate, New waitress

Nicole comes up to the bar and orders a double vodka martini. She wants the cheap stuff because she’s on a tight budget. When the bartender turns around, she realizes that it’s Lucas (filling in for Shawn). She taunts Lucas for working there when he’s an alcoholic… and says she’s back to looking for a man, now that Brady’s gone.

Kate meets Victor outside Alice’s, thanks him for coming, and tells him she needs a favour. They enter the restaurant and sit down at a table. Nicole decides to join them and whines about how she’s too poor to leave Salem. A new waitress asks them if they are in the right place, given how sophisticated they are. They give her their order and she goes. Kate talks to Victor about Alex North…wants him to check on the guy and explains what’s been going on with John and Marlena. Victor asks her where John is staying and she tells him that he’s using her spare bedroom. Victor looks at her strangely and reminds her that John is ISA and can certainly check things out for himself. Kate thinks Victor would be more objective.

The waitress is talking to Lucas. She tells him about having an autographed picture of Max and trying to sell it on E-Bay. He suggests that she keep it until Max races again. She asks him about Max being a Brady and wants to know if he is related to Shawn. Lucas explains the connection. She talks about Bonnie. He tells her about Mimi’s kitchen fire and that is why is working for Shawn tonight. She thinks Mimi learned to cook from Bonnie and can’t figure out why Bonnie would own a restaurant, given her terrible cooking skills.

Victor notices Lucas and tells Kate about it. She gets angry and rushes up to the bar. Lucas rags on her, and then explains how his Tony DiMera employment connection doesn’t get him anywhere. She tells him he can have a job at Basic Black but he throws it back in her face. Kate stomps away. The waitress recognizes her and he explains that Kate is his mother. She wonders why he needs a job then.

Kate goes back to the table. Victor is on the phone. He mentions a company acquisition and how they can’t find anyone to replace Brady. Kate’s ears perk up.

Sami’s Apartment: Sami, Austin, Nicole

Sami is getting her wedding gifts ready to return. She decides to keep the toaster oven…lol… Austin tells her she can’t. She says it was cheap and from John, who has lots of money so he won’t miss it. He talks to her about growing up and taking responsibility for herself…stay away from Kate…stop trying to get revenge… She’s not a happy camper. Austin persists and threatens to leave if she doesn’t. She tells him she will try and wishes he could be his guardian angel… sitting on her shoulder whenever she needs his help. They decide to eat at Alice’s and Austin leaves to get his wallet.

There is a knock at the door at its Nicole. Sami asks her what she wants and she says one word…Austin. Nicole pushes her way into the apartment and sees Austin coming out. She wants to take him for something to eat. Sami’s mad and says that they were going to go for something to eat themselves. Austin plays the wise man again and suggests they all go together. They start arguing with each other and Austin takes off…lol… As they realize that he’s gone, they run out together and end up squished in the doorway trying to get out before the other. In their haste, they leave the door open.

Devereaux House: Jack, Jennifer, Lexie, Frankie

Frankie tells Lexie that he wishes he could do more for Jack and Jennifer. Lexie talks about Jack’s condition and how they don’t know how Jennifer will react about Frankie knowing Jack’s secret…as well as the plan for him to take Jack’s place.

Jennifer repeats to Jack that he isn’t going to die, but he tells her he is. She talks about miracles and how he has returned to her twice already…so she isn’t letting him go because it’s not his time…she won’t let him die. Jack wishes that were so but doesn’t think there will be a miracle this time. Jennifer talks about positive thinking. He tells her he tried but the experts negated it all by saying he was definitely going to die. Jennifer doesn’t want him to give up.

Jennifer decides to talk to Lexie, so Jack tells the doctor to answer all her questions. Frankie and he leave. Lexie tells Jennifer she is sorry for not telling her before. Jennifer understands but wishes she had known so she could help Jack. Lexie tries to convince Jennifer that Jack is really dying and will only get worse.

Jack wants to know what happened…it was supposed to be a secret from Jennifer. Frankie tells him Jennifer deserved to know. Jack doesn’t think this changes anything. He still wants Frankie to be there for Jennifer when he’s gone. Frankie just looks at him. He plays on Frankie’s promise to him. After some debate, Frankie finally agrees.

Jennifer runs out with Lexie shouting to her to wait. Jack takes off after her but can’t find her. Lexie tells Frankie that she can see now why Jack didn’t want to tell Jennifer.

Jennifer is crying.

Lexie believes that if Jennifer loses Jack it might kill her…especially after everything she has been through. Frankie replies that Jen’s children will need her and he promises not to let anything happen to her.

Jennifer asks god why he is doing this to their family again. She wants to know if god is testing them and if she is failing…is she crazy to hope for a miracle. She says that all she ever wanted was a family and Jack and now god is ripping him away from the children and her. She yells that he can’t do that.

Preview:

Mimi tells John that she saw Belle realize she would never be with him again and that’s when she broke down.

Lexie tells Philip that Belle is developing postpartum depression.

Janice’s Spoilers

Belle & Philip’s Loft: Belle, Philip, Shawn, Mimi, Lexie

Phil is anxious to know what is taking so long and why Lexie wouldn’t let him stay up there with them. Mimi tells him that Lexie probably thought it would be best to have some privacy for Belle. Phil is confused...one minute everything was fine and the next Belle was freaking out. Shawn reminds Philip that Belle just got home from the hospital but Philip is sure its something else. Mimi tries to comfort him, saying that Belle’s got a new baby...no sleep...hormones all over the place. She’s sure it is normal for Belle to be emotional and tells Philip that Belle will be okay. Phil hopes so.

Lexie is upstairs with Belle and trying to be cheerful. She can’t find anything physically wrong. Belle tells her that she feels so tired. Lexie suggests a nap. Belle lies down on the bed and reaches for the teddy bear. She tells her that having a baby is exhausting both physically and emotionally...they used to keep new moms in the hospital for a week but not anymore. Belle isn’t hearing her. Lexie looks at her with concern and leaves.

She goes downstairs and explains to the others that she gave as thorough an examination as she could but didn’t find anything physically wrong with Belle. She might run some blood work later to check for thyroid problems which are very common in new moms. Philip asks her what if it is something else. She thinks that Belle is in a bad state and that at the very least is suffering from mental exhaustion. Lexie tells Philip to sit down and reminds him about the terrible year Belle has had…him losing his leg effected both of them…hurried marriage…an unplanned pregnancy. Phil thinks he’s leaned on Belle too much.

Lexie tells him not to blame himself…an unplanned pregnancy comes with lots of adjustments…not to say that Belle didn’t want the baby...she loves her...but especially given that Belle knew she or the baby could have died...and it must have been very scary for her to see her own mortality. She talks about Belle suffering from sleep depravity...fluctuating hormones and being a new mom...it’s too much for her. Phil says its no wonder Belle’s a wreck. Lexie says that Belle could be going into postpartum depression.

Up in her bedroom, Belle’s sleep is fraught with restlessness. She dreams about giving birth to Claire with Marlena beside her...and then about Shawn hearing her tell Philip she loves him and the baby…and then seeing Shawn cover Mimi’s hand while Philip gives a toast. She sits up quickly and is very upset. She wants to know what is happening to her and her life…and her baby. Getting up, she holds Claire in her arms and says...our baby.

Lexie explains that some depressions are called “baby blues”, but that Belle’s uncontrollable crying and moods suggests it’s much more serious. He asks whether she would hurt herself or the baby. She tells him the postpartum psychosis is very rare and doesn’t think Belle has that but it’s too soon to tell. She wants him to try and eliminate as much stress for Belle as he can. Both Shawn and Mimi vow to be supportive as well. They tell him that they will be there for him day or night. Lexie tells them that Belle needs someone with her all the time and suggests to Philip that he get a nurse in. He asks her about medicine but she tells him that she doesn’t want to do that yet…only if Belle’s symptoms continue...and then possibly an antidepressant. Philip worries that if she is medicated then she will have to stop breastfeeding and that will cause even more depression. He wants to know how he can help her.

Belle starts crying and Claire starts as well. Belle panics…doesn’t know why the baby is crying and begs her to stop. Lexie and the others run in and Belle cries that she is a bad mother… Lexie comforts her and tells her she’s just a new one. Belle tells Lexie how embarrassed she is. She asks for Shawn and Mimi to go. Philip takes the baby from Belle and she tells him how sorry she is. He just turns away from her without answering. Belle tells them how tired she is. Lexie says that she will give her something so she can sleep. Belle still thinks she’s a bad mom.

Back downstairs, Philip looks at Claire and thanks Lexie for coming. She tells him that Belle is fine for the moment and that this sort of thing happens with lots of new mothers. She’s sure that with Philip’s support, Belle will be fine.

Belle’s sleep is restless again. She’s sweating and thinks she can’t breathe so she opens a window. When she hears music (see next section) she climbs out onto the fire escape and starts climbing the ladder up to the roof.

Philip is holding Claire. He tells her that Belle will be okay.

Shawn & Mimi’s Loft: Shawn, Mimi

Shawn and Mimi are cleaning the kitchen and talking about what happened. Mimi doesn’t think that Belle’s depression came out of nowhere. Shawn asks if it was the Chinese food. Mimi says that she knows exactly what it was...when he reached over to take her hand, she saw Belle realize that she would never be with him again. She feels bad because if she hadn’t ruined supper, and destroyed his pan, then they wouldn’t have gone over to the other loft, and Belle wouldn’t have gotten upset. She goes on to talk about how when Belle saw them together she broke down. Shawn says that no way was what happened their fault. He says that they will help out as godparents. Lexie said that it had been happening for a while. He comforts Mimi, telling her that it was a nice gesture for her to cook dinner.

Mimi gets a little shy and tells him that she wasn’t exactly telling the truth that morning when she said that the kiss didn’t mean anything to her and that they were just pals. He smiles and says it’s no big deal. She says that the point is...she likes him...she really likes him (very sweet moment) and was...thinking...hoping that their kiss meant that he liked her as well. She wanted to get his favorite recipe and cook a romantic dinner so maybe they could see if there was anything between them. Shawn laughs. Mimi thinks she blew it. He tells her no...not at all. He confesses that he wasn’t telling the truth either and he brought the rose to show her that it did mean something to him. He didn’t want it to be awkward and wanted to do something special for her ...the rose. He says he would have got her a bouquet but didn’t know if it was too much.

Mimi looks at him and grins. She says its like being in high school.

He wants to continue their date and takes her out onto the fire escape.

Belle is climbing up to the music (Rolling Stones song) on the roof. Shawn and Mimi are romantically dancing. She tells him this date is the most relaxed one she’s ever been on and thanks him for suggesting it. He thanks her for agreeing and they lean into each other and start to passionately kiss. Belle looks over the ledge and sees the two of them. Belle starts back down the ladder but her foot slips and she starts to fall.

She begs him to give him an interview…after all, Victor is the closest thing to a father that he has ever had. Victor agrees to talk to Lucas but makes no promises.

Lucas says she almost got him killed and tells Austin that they are supposed to be brothers and support each other. Austin defends Sami and says she’s been through a lot…what with Lucas believing Kate over her about Brandon. They argue back and forth.

Kate is worried about Nicole and Sami being around Austin. Victor says he will talk to both Austin and Lucas. As well, he will see what he can find out about Alex North.

Kate goes up to Lucas. He won’t talk to her. She tells him to think of Will and voices her objections to him bartending. He tells her that he doesn’t want to work at Basic Black. She tells him about Victor’s job and how he is interested in talking to Lucas. Lucas is sure that she had something to do with it. Kate tells him it’s a great match and she only wants what is best for him. He tells her to leave.

Victor asks Austin to play pool. He wants to know about Sami. Austin admits to staying with her but tells Victor it’s none of his business. He clues in that Kate put Victor up to talking to him. Victor mentions how well Austin did in New York. He offers him a job at Titan. Austin refuses…says he’s starting out on his own and has investors. Victor tells him he won’t cut his competition any slack. Austin suggests Lucas.

Victor leaves and goes over to Lucas. He tells him he has a proposition for him that he thinks he will like and offers him Brady’s job. Lucas can’t believe he doesn’t want an interview first. Victor ignores that and Lucas finally agrees. Victor leaves. Lucas tells the waitress about the conversation. She opens her mouth and says that it was a good thing that his brother turned down the job. He is shocked.

John says Alex isn’t trying to restore Marlena’s memory, he’s trying to wipe the slate clean. Abe wonders if John could talk to a judge and declare Marlena incompetent. He says that Alex would say the opposite and defend her. Abe is sure that Alex will make a mistake. He tells John that they both have to hang in there. Both he and Mark go to leave and see Kate. Later, Kate wonders if John asked Abe about Dr. North. He tells her he did and that they (Marlena and Alex) are still out there…dancing. He wants to go over there and throw him off the balcony. Pat’s Spoilers

Alice’s Bar: Roman comes in and talks to Lucas. The same old ‘is it wise for a recovering alcoholic to be working at a bar?’ question comes up and is quickly dispensed with. Lucas tells Roman about the new job he has at Titan. Roman is happy for him. He feels Lucas deserves it after what happened with Sami. Sami let him and Will down again. Lucas wants to know how all the charges against Sami got dropped. Roman tells Lucas that he has his brother to thank for that. Lucas is steamed – he thought that Sami was the traitor and here it’s his brother that is. Roman won’t make excuses for Sami but as her father he’s happy that she is not going to jail. Roman goes on to say that he thought that the two of them were good together. Lucas says we were for a time. Roman hopes that Sami will finally grow up. He tells Lucas that there is a good woman for him out there. As for him, he’s been around the block a few times, he’s carrying a lot of baggage – not very many women want to deal with that. Bonnie sits next to him and says any man looking for female companionship can sit at her table.

Nicole flirts up a storm with Austin trying to distract him from making his shots. When Sami hears Nicole tell Austin if she wins he has to come home with her and leave Sami all alone, Sami gets up and jostles Nicole’s arm so she misses her shot. They start arguing. Nicole tells Sami that neither Lucas nor Austin will ever forgive her. Sami tells Nicole it’s so obvious that she is making a play for Austin. Nicole reminds Sami that Austin is a free agent. The argument heats up. Austin tells them to stop fighting or he’s going back to New York. They both say no, don’t go. Nicole puts her arm around Sami and says see we’re almost friends. Austin just rolls his eyes.

Bonnie offers Roman a beer on the house and joins him – misery loves company. Roman says you must have heard about Kate and me breaking up. Bonnie says that and Sami’s your daughter. Her antics are enough to drive anyone to drink. She offers to go and talk to her. She’s a mother maybe she can get through to her. Bonnie goes to Sami who is watching Austin and Nicole play pool and tells her that she can see the green-eyed monster. Sami doesn’t know what she is talking about. Bonnie says just a couple of days ago you were calling Lucas the love of your life now you’ve set your sights on his brother. Bonnie goes on to tell her that it’s not a wise move to straddle the fence – the better option is to pick one of the guys and straddle him. She does another play on words ‘roamin’ and Roman. Sami says you are not dating my father and walks away. Sami talks briefly to her Dad. She tells him that Lucas is still very angry with her. Roman tells Sami that it’s over between them and she has to move on. Sami is convinced that she and Lucas will get back together – it will just take some time.

Bonnie brings Roman another beer. He asks her if she is trying to get him drunk. She is just trying to cheer him up. Sami is upset when she overhears Sophie asking Lucas out. Lucas turns her down. He’s not ready to date – he’s still getting over his break up with Sami. Sophie gives him her number and tells him to call her when he is ready. She tells him that she will make him forget Sami. Sami then listens to Austin and Nicole talking. She is happy to hear Austin say that he will not abandon her.

Austin goes to the bar and orders a coffee. Lots of attitude from Lucas – he’s angry that Austin helped Sami go free. Austin asks Lucas what he wants. Sami is the woman he loves and the mother of his child; does he really want her to fry? Lucas says no – he just wants Sami to pay for her crimes. She’ll never learn from her mistakes if she never has to pay for them. Lucas then makes a smart remark about Austin talking to his ex-wife. Lucas tells Austin he obviously has little brother issues because he wants everything he (Lucas) had. Austin says that Lucas is the one with issues. He’s miserable and he wants everyone around him to be miserable. Sami and Nicole continue bickering. Sami tells Nicole that she’ll get Austin over her dead body. Nicole tells Sami point blank that she let Austin slip through her fingers once; she won’t let it happen again. She tells Sami that she and Austin will be together. Sami threatens Nicole. She warns her. Sami says my name may be mud in this town but if I tell everyone what you did so will yours.

Bonnie brings Roman a plate of ribs. He says he didn’t order anything. She thinks he could use some meat on his bones. Roman admits that since his break up with Kate he hasn’t had much of an appetite. He takes a bite and says these are delicious. Bonnie tells him the ribs are just one of her specialties.

John/Marlena/Alex/Kate: I’m not going into any great detail on their scenes. It’s basically more of John trying to wrest Marlena from Alex’s control and Alex’s posturing and smug looks. Alex threatens to call the police if John does not let Marlena leave with him. Kate puts herself between Alex and John leaving John and Marlena alone with a chance to talk. Kate warns Alex that they are on to him. They know what he is doing and that he wants Marlena for himself. Alex gives the standard ‘the only thing I’m concerned about is the welfare of my patient’ speech. John tells Marlena that what Alex is doing is crossing the line between doctor and patient. A doctor shouldn’t act the way he does with a patient. Marlena asks him if he is spying on them. John covers and tells her that he is referring to the kiss he witnessed at the cabin. Marlena chalks that up to transference – something she does remember of her training. John doesn’t trust the doctor and asks Marlena to lock her bedroom door. She tells him if it will make him feel better she will. Kate and Alex return and Kate says that Alex won’t call the police if John will allow Marlena to leave immediately. They all end up leaving. John spies on Alex and Marlena on the balcony. Alex is upset when he talks to Marlena and she hasn’t been paying attention because she’s thinking of John. Alex pulls out the necklace and Marlena immediately says she is tired and wants to go to sleep. She goes upstairs. Alex is determined to beat John at his own game. He listens to a tape he has prepared for Marlena – one of the things on the tape is him telling Marlena that she must divorce John. John watches as Marlena locks the door. He is relieved. Alex tries the door and finds it locked. John sees that the lights are off so he puts the binoculars down and sits down to have dinner with Kate. Alex climbs on the ledge so that he can get into Marlena’s bedroom through the window.

Belle & Philip: Belle sees Shawn and Mimi kissing and starts to do down. She changes her mind and goes back and watches them for a while longer. Philip is talking to Claire. He tells the baby when Mama wakes up they’re going upstairs to tell her how much they love her and to give her a kiss. Belle comes down – Philip hopes they didn’t wake her up. He passes her the baby and comments on how cold her hands up. Belle tells him she couldn’t sleep; she needed air so she went on the roof. Philip tells her she shouldn’t have gone up the fire escape alone just after Lexie had given her a sedative. He tells her that Lexie told him that she has post partum depression. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, over 80% of new mother’s suffer from baby blues and the good news is that she is going to get better. Belle thinks it’s something different. She thinks of Shawn and Mimi kissing. She feels she is so emotional because she is so lucky to have such a great husband and a beautiful baby. He asks her why it makes her sad. She cries that she is afraid she is going to lose them. He tells her that will never happen. He loves her more and more every day and Claire is going to love her even more than he does if that is possible. She tells Philip that she loves him very much.

They hear Mimi and Shawn laughing. Belle comments that she wishes the building was more sound proof. Philip thinks it’s great to hear someone laughing. He can tell Belle isn’t too pleased and asks her if she has a problem with Mimi and Shawn being happy together. Belle asks him if he wants the truth and then says yes she has a problem with it. Phil asks her if it because she still has feelings for Shawn. She says that Shawn and Mimi are her two best friends – she cares about both of them. They’re Claire’s godparents. Philip thinks it’s perfect that they are a couple. Belle thinks it could get messy if they break up. She doesn’t want to see either of them get hurt. Philip tells her that life is all about taking chances. He says have you seen them together? They are so relaxed and happy – it’s like they belong to together. He then gives Belle a gift – chocolates. She kisses him and tells him that she loves him. She asks him to make love to her. He says the doctor told them to wait six weeks. She knows her body and she wants him now. They kiss and make their way to the coach.

Shawn & Mimi: The dancing and kissing continues – and oh my – those kisses!!! THUD! They hear a noise (it’s Belle going down the fire escape). Shawn calls out – who’s there? Shawn checks around and tells Mimi that it’s weird – he didn’t see anything. Did she? She didn’t. He guesses the wind knocked something over. Mimi says maybe it was a ghost from our past. Shawn asks her to run that past him again. She says not an actual ghost. She meant that this place has a lot of history. The rooftop is known for it being a special place for people in love. Just look at the initials on the door. His and Belle’s, hers and Rex’s – obviously the magic didn’t rub off on them. Shawn tells her that they will have to leave those memories behind and make new ones. Mimi asks him if he thinks they can really do that. He tells her they can try. They kiss tenderly. Mimi says “Shawn … are you…” she hesitates. He says “Am I … “ and waits. “Are you ready to take the next step?” Oh my that look he gives her … stick a fork in me, I’m done!

He leans over the ledge. Mimi asks him to tell her what he is thinking. His response – “I’m thinking I’m really enjoying this.” Mimi asks him if he thinks they should move things along. (She kind of trips over her words – she’s nervous … very cute!). He thinks they should take things slow. They’ve been friends practically their entire lives. This is great – he’s loving this but it’s strange – you know what I mean? She does. She says it’s not anything that either of them expected. He thinks that it’s great that they’ve been there for each other. It’s made life bearable – at least for him. She says for her too. He adds that they both just got out of really bad break ups. He’d hate for either one of them to go through that again. She feels the same way – so yes they’ll take things slow. He notices she is cold so he suggests they go downstairs. She offers to make hot chocolate. He thinks that is an excellent idea. He kisses her on the forehead. Mimi lectures herself to keep her bit mouth shut and not ruin this.

Mimi says that even though she burnt dinner she didn’t burn desert. (He’s tickling her as they are walking to the fridge and Mimi is laughing as she talks). He says ‘you made dessert?” She says she bought it. It’s double chocolate lava cake – goes with the fire theme. They laugh. They’re on the couch. He feeds her a piece of cake. They both say it’s so good. He asks her if she wants another bite. She’ll hate herself in the morning but yes she does. He presses the cake and frosting against her mouth and then smiles and says let me get that all the way across. She says thank you – I look a mess now. There’s lots of teasing and smiles. She says she’s going to go wash this off (she calls him a moron – LOL). He says wait. That would be such a waste. Can I have some of that? He kisses her upper lip and takes it into his mouth. She tells him that tickles. He tells her she tastes good – chocolate lipstick. The kisses deepen. She’s lying on the couch, Shawn is on top of her. The kisses are hot and steamy. Shawn pushes himself up on his arms, breathing heavily, he tells Mimi that he is sorry. Mimi says ‘that got the lava flowing.’ They sit up. Shawn says he shouldn’t be sending her mixed signals. We were just talking about not rushing things. She says ‘no, Shawn stop – I got carried away too.’ He says it would probably be a mistake for us to just… She agrees. Shawn tells her they have plenty of time. (They’re standing by now). He tells her to turn around – he wants to take the chocolate down a notch. He starts cleaning her face. He says gosh we got it all over the face. Mimi corrects him – she smiles and says ‘you got it everywhere.’ He tells her she looks beautiful. He then says he rented a movie and asks her if she’d like to watch it. They sit on the couch. She nestles against him, his arm is wrapped around her – he kisses her temple twice – okay I’m done!!!

Preview: Austin to Nicole – You know something Nicole, I wonder if you have any heart at all. Shawn opening the rooftop door and seeing Belle crying. John, Kate, Sami and Roman gather outside the penthouse door. John – I have to get her out of that penthouse. Sami – Mom needs our help. Roman opening the door yelling Marlena. Alex to Marlena (she’s in bed) – Alex is the only man you should be with. Marlena (in a trance) – I hear Alex. I understand.

Philip tells Claire that he’s glad they have time alone together and that because of her beautiful mommy, they are the luckiest baby girl and daddy on earth.

Belle dreams of Mimi and Shawn kissing. She wakes up upset.

Philips sings a lullaby to Claire…Rockabye Baby, then apologizes because of the wording, and tells her that her parents will always be there for her.

Shawn & Mimi’s Loft: Shawn & Mimi

The movie finishes and Mimi is crying. Shawn brings over a bowl of popcorn and moans that it was a sad movie and he doesn’t like sad movies...lol... Mimi’s flicking through the channels to find something else to watch. She says: “Oh my gosh, I forgot it was going to be on.” Shawn looks and is surprised that she’s a fan of the Rolling Stones. She reminisces about how Patrick took her to her very first concert for her 16th birthday and it was for the Rolling Stones. Shawn says: “Do you know how badly I wanted to go to that concert?” She thinks that Belle probably wanted to see the Backstreet Boys. They watch the Rolling Stone world video premiere for “Streets of Love.”

The video finishes and Shawn turns off the T.V. He looks at Mimi and sees she is crying again. He asks her sympathetically why she is crying... (brings her the Kleenex box)... and asks what’s wrong. Mimi tells him because it was just so good...lol... He says then why is she crying and asks if she is okay. She feels as if the movie and video were speaking to her… He asks her if she wants to talk about it. Mimi says...you make one wrong turn and then can’t find your way back from it. She swears she is going to end up alone. Shawn holds her face in his hands and tells her she’s wrong…she’s a good person and deserves to be happy. Then he hugs her.

Mimi says that when you call a girl a good person, it means the kiss of death...that she's not that hot. She wants to know whether he ever once looked at her in high school and thought she was hot. Shawn says...awww...we're not back to the ugly duckling stuff? He admits to only looking at Belle in high school but reasons that they aren’t in high school anymore.

Mimi thinks he’s still in love with Belle. They hear Claire crying. Shawn says it doesn’t matter how he feels about Belle because she and Philip have a kid now. He admits to being upset when she chose Philip and didn’t step aside graciously but he respects their need to be a family. She tells him he’s amazing and thinks she should stop feeling sorry for herself but she misses Rex so much…maybe she should start thinking of him as her first great love… maybe someday there will be a second one... Shawn says there is no doubt in his mind. She tells him what a good friend he is to her and he says right back at ya...puts his arm around her...kisses her cheek twice and then they lean their heads together. Mimi falls asleep on his shoulder (very sweet). He lowers her head to the pillow and puts her feet up on the couch. Then he covers her with an afghan. Looking at her he murmurs…who knows, maybe we will end up together someday…and gives her a kiss on the cheek. He gets up and remembers that he left the other CDs on the roof.

Belle, wearing a negligee and open robe, is up on the roof. Shawn comes up and she turns to him and gets all teary.

Kate’s Place: Kate & John

John isn’t hungry…too worried about Marlena. He apologizes to Kate for being rude. Kate tries to make him feel better but John tells her he doesn’t trust that man. She’s sure that Marlena is at least safe for tonight. John looks out the window with his binoculars and sees Alex on Marlena’s balcony. Kate takes a look but Alex is already inside and she can’t see him. John tells Kate that if Alex North is in “her” bedroom—he’s a dead man! Then he leaves.

Penthouse Part I: Alex, Marlena

At the penthouse, Alex murmurs that a locked door means nothing to him and that now he is in Marlena’s room, she will be lost to John forever. He affirms that from tonight forward, she will belong to him.

Alex talks to a hypnotized Marlena and tells her that John Black is dangerous and she is afraid of him. He says that for her preservation she can’t have anything more to do with him…Alex is the only man she should be with (sorry but this is starting to sound like a B-rated science-fiction movie…sigh). Marlena repeats his words and tells him she trusts him completely. He tells her that when she comes out of her hypnosis, she will not remember he was there or what he told her. Marlena is confused. They hear a noise downstairs and she asks if someone is there to see her. (See Penthouse Part II section below)

Alice’s Restaurant: Bonnie, Roman, Lucas, Sami, Austin, Nicole, Sophie

Roman and Bonnie are enjoying the ribs… Bonnie thinks it’s because he’s with her and smirkingly boasts that it’s a good as the fancy stuff Maggie has at Tuscany’s. She says they are down home here and rags on Maggie again.

Sami pulls Nicole to the side and threatens her if she keeps vamping Austin. Nicole tells her that there is nothing she can do to her. Lucas comes in and looks at both of them.

Roman promises Bonnie that he’ll be back. She offers him some shoofly pie but he declines.

Sophie tells Lucas that his eyes are bugging out because he keeps staring at his two exes. She says that not all women are like them and uses herself as an example. He tells her that she’s a very nice person and beautiful but he’s not interested in a serious relationship right now. She asks him who said anything about “serious” and he looks at her.

Sami complains to Austin that he is just letting Nicole win the bet. Nicole disagrees. They tell each other to go to hell. Nicole gets the last shot in and says that if she sinks the eight ball, Austin will be coming home with her tonight.

Roman tells Bonnie that she’s a lot of fun. He thinks about having the pie after all and Bonnie goes to get him a big boy slice. Roman watches her leave and Bonnie notices him watching her…lol…

Lucas doesn’t think he’d be good for someone right now. Sophie keeps coming on to him. She picks up his hand and tells him he’ll be okay and that he has a lot going for him. He thanks her for caring.

Nicole is about to make her last shot when Sami coughs. She screws up and tells Sami she did that on purpose. Austin laughs. Sami gloats and tells Nicole that now Austin is going home with her. Austin says not necessarily. He leaves to go to the washroom. Nicole and Sami go verbal again with the insults.

Roman’s cellphone rings. Kate asks him not to hang up on her and tells him she is worried about John and why. Roman tells her he’s on his way. He promises Bonnie to come back for the pie. She feeds him a tiny bite on a fork. Bonnie turns to Lucas and says that love is hard to find but there’s always pie…lol…. Sami asks them why her dad left. Lucas tells her he went to the penthouse and it’s something to do with John. Sami is shocked and runs out after him.

Austin comes up to the bar and sees Sophie and Lucas flirting with each other. He asks about Sami. Lucas tells him and he goes after her. Nicole is not a happy camper. He tells her that she should fix herself up a little. He rags a little on Sami as well.

Penthouse Part II: John, Roman, Kate, Sami, Austin, Marlena, Alex

John is trying to kick the door in. Kate and Roman turn up and Roman tells John that if Marlena kicked him out he shouldn’t be doing this and may end up being arrested. John tells him about Alex brainwashing Marlena. Roman listens and says it’s awfully quiet in there. John tells him that he’s breaking the door in and the only way to stop him is with a gun.

Upstairs, Marlena wants to find out where the noise came from. Alex asks her if she remembers what he said. LOL…Marlena says remembering isn’t her strong suit and she has to go.

Sami and Austin run in and John tells her to get out. Roman asks her why she has to stick her nose into every bad situation. She complains that it’s her mom and goes on about Roman still loving Marlena. Kate isn’t too thrilled. John says they are wasting time. Sami gets upset when she finds out that Dr. North is in the penthouse. John agrees with her and then yells at Roman to get in there. Roman kicks the door open and they all run inside. He yells for Marlena. She comes downstairs and wants to know how John got in there. She asks him if he is okay because he doesn’t look well. Alex comes down in his pajamas and wants to know what is going on. John attacks him. Roman tries to break it up.

Janice’s Spoilers

The Roof: Shawn, Belle

Belle walks back and forth…finally sitting down. She picks up Shawn’s CDs. Shawn comes in and Belle turns away from him crying. He asks her what’s wrong. She asks him to please go...she doesn’t want him to see her this way. He tells her he isn’t going to just leave. He asks if something happened with Philip or the baby. She tells him that Claire is fine. Shawn asks whether Philip knows she is up there. Belle tells him that Philip thinks she is sleeping. Shawn starts to leave and says he will go and get him. Belle begs him not to…she doesn’t want Philip…she wants…him…

Shawn wants to know why she wants him up there...Philip is her husband...he should know where she is. She tells him there is nothing Philip can do and he’ll just freak out. She just needs to pull herself together. He asks if they should call Lexie…maybe this is the postpartum depression...why else would she be up there crying? Belle says she doesn’t know what’s wrong with her...she just couldn’t sleep and started to feel anxious... as if she was suffocating and needed some air. Shawn asks her if she wants to talk about it and she explains that she feels strange…like she’s not in her own body, but can’t figure it out…it’s like her whole life has been an act...all a lie. She starts crying.

Belle tells Shawn she’s sorry...she shouldn’t complain to him...shouldn’t complain at all...she’s the one who made these decisions and it’s her own fault. He asks her if she is really that unhappy and she says not all the time...but she’s overwhelmed by how happy she is sometimes…her daughter is a blessing but she feels helpless when she’s around her…like she’s afraid of her… Shawn tells her that the baby is lucky to have both her and Philip and she’ll get through it. She admits that she used to be so happy getting up in the morning but dreads it now...that she’s brought her baby into a world of crime, disease, and poverty He reminds her that she knew what to do when they kidnapped JT. He says she still knows but can’t expect herself to be perfect. She tells him that she’s far from perfect and worries that she will screw up Claire’s life.

He’s sure this still postpartum depression and that she just needs treatment. Belle is getting more upset. She can’t believe this is all happening because of the baby and wishes her mom were around to talk to. Shawn tells her he’s sorry she’s going through this. Belle is having an identity crisis. He thinks she should be talking to Philip about this. She doesn’t want Philip to blame himself and tells Shawn that when they (shelle) were together things seemed so simple…everything was perfect...life was perfect wasn’t it?

Shawn says: “You and me...you’re talking about a long time ago. He thinks they were too young and naïve to realize that life wasn’t really that simple. She tells him that maybe he’s right. He tells her that what they had was great but she was the one to make him see that it was over that time is over...and she has an awesome husband and beautiful baby daughter…lots to look forward to. Belle says...like you and Mimi. Shawn asks her why she would say that. She tells him that she has seen them getting closer. He admits that he and Mimi have always been close...friends forever and have been having a lot of fun but who knows what is down the road for them. Belle asks him if he is going to make it more than that. He tells Belle that she needs to go and rest. Belle won’t let it go. She wants to know why he is avoiding her about Mimi and asks if he doesn’t want to get married and have kids someday. Shawn tells her he wants everything Philip has... everything.

Belle looks up at him and tentatively asks if he wants her. Shawn backtracks and says that some day he would like a wife of his own...someone he will love…will love him…will love kids...raise a family. Belle tells him she wants that for him as well and wasn’t literally assuming that he wanted her. He says that she knows how much he wanted a life with her but it wasn’t meant to be…its in the past…Philip is her future. She agrees and starts crying again. He hugs her in comfort.

Penthouse: John, Marlena, Roman, Kate, Sami, Austin, Alex (sorry I’m just not writing much on this)

John and Alex are still going at it. John is sure that Alex climbed through Marlena’s window. Alex plays dumb and demands that John get out. Austin and Roman keep John from hitting him. John pursues his accusation. Alex has a hissy fit about being spied on and threatens to lay charges against him. Roman defends John and says he wouldn’t be there if he didn’t think Marlena was in danger.

Roman wants Marlena’s version. The fighting continues and Alex throws in the “Divorce” word. Sami is thrilled when she hears that and tells her mother she is doing the right thing. She tells her father to get rid of both John and Alex and then he can be the one to get Marlena’s memory back. Roman looks exasperated and tells her she isn’t helping so she should be quiet. Sami won’t shut up and Roman tells Austin to take her home. Kate offers to get Sami a cab and follows them out of the penthouse. She’s too late to stop Austin from going with Sami because the elevator shuts too soon. We get another Kate threat against Sami.

Back in the penthouse, Alex tells John he will get a restraining order against him and even accuses him of being an abusive husband. John tries to talk to Marlena and reminds them of their vows…how she helped him when he came to Salem with no memory…of their love for each other. Marlena keeps having flashbacks of her and John together. She relaxes and tells him he is right and she believes him. Alex gets mad and pushes between them with the necklace (covered by his hand), swinging it at her. She brushes her cheek (jeez I hate that!) and is back in a trance. Alex gives a dissertation about her being his patient and demands that everybody leave. John still wants to talk to Marlena alone but she says no. Roman and John leave. Alex now has the necklace out in plain sight and says that was a close call. He is now going to destroy Marlena’s last few memories of John for good.

Sami’s Apartment: Sami, Austin, Kate

Sami is angry about John and excited about her mother divorcing him. Austin looks curiously at her…didn’t she notice how controlling Alex was? Sami sort of agrees but thinks if he helps her mother realize she should divorce John, then all is good. Kate arrives and tells them about Alex’s agenda for Marlena. Sami doesn’t believe it and rants sarcastically at Kate. Kate slaps her. Austin tells Sami she went too far and she runs out of the apartment. Kate really really really wants Austin to stay away from Sami. He tells her to mind her own business.

Alice’s Restaurant: Lucas, Sophie

The restaurant is closed now and Lucas and Sophie are cleaning up. He tells her that he enjoyed working with her but is also looking forward to working with Victor…no matter that he was second choice for the job. He promises that he will run the place better that Austin ever could and Sophie agrees with him. She wants to go celebrate his new job… no strings attached. He agrees.

Sophie has changed and Lucas says she looks great. She suggests they go to the Cheatin’ Heart or the bar at Chez Rouge. He reminds her that he is a recovering alcoholic. She wants confirmation that this is a date and he smiles and tells her yes. In the next scene they are both standing outside the Java Café and drinking coffee. He tells her that he felt like a senior citizen in there. She agrees, noting that the café seems to have turned into a teen-scene.

They walk over to the pier. Both of them discuss Sami and she tells him about her failed engagement…on the day of her wedding, she caught her fiancée with one of the bridesmaids. Lucas sympathizes. Sophie asks him what happened with Sami. He’s pretty tightlipped and just says that Sami has trouble with the truth. Sophie asks if he would ever give Sami another chance. He says no.

Sophie got a call from her landlord. The water line has broken in her apartment building and there is damage in her apartment. Lucas lets her stay at his place. She hugs him and they go inside. She sees some open boxes and asks if Lucas is moving. He admits that he and Will were going to move in with Sami. She commiserates with him for having to live so close to Sami now and offers to help him forget her. He looks nervous.

Sami shows up and argues with Lucas about seeing Will (he isn’t wearing a shirt). He refuses to let her in and explains that Will is angry with her and is at Arthur’s. Sami wants to know why Lucas is acting so weird and then is shocked to realize that he has a woman in his apartment. Sophie is calling for him. Sami pushes his door open and sees a thinly clad Sophie. Lucas tells Sami goodnight and shuts the door on her. Sami starts to cry. Austin comforts her as Kate watches.

He says that he and Bo can head in two different directions and cover more ground. Hope stays behind with Jennifer in case Abby phones or comes home. The guys leave and Jennifer starts crying. She doesn’t understand why God is punishing them, especially when she’s a good person. Hope reminds her that God doesn’t work that way. She tries to comfort her and promises to be there for her no matter what.

Lockhart House: Patrick, Billie, Bo

Billie is anxious about Chelsea going missing. She’s left all these messages on her cellphone with no replies. Patrick tries to comfort her. He thinks that Chelsea and Abby just lost track of time. The phone interrupts them. A worried Jennifer is calling to see if Abby is over there. Billie is worried too because she thought Chelsea was over at their house. Penthouse: Marlena, Alex/Kate’s Place: John, Kate (LOL…I’m trying to take this seriously!)

Alex is on a mission to make Marlena a zombie…no seriously he just wants to rid her of anything resembling a brain and memories of John. We have music…we have brandy…we have
Alex imprinting his ideas…the only man you’ll ever love is me.

Over at Kate’s, John has the binoculars out and is mumbling about how he was sure Marlena was remembering but then North got in the way…is sure he’s controlling her. He tells Kate that he could kidnap Marlena but Kate is worried that he’ll get arrested and maybe also lose Marlena for good.

Alex hypnotizes Marlena for the umpteenth time and tells her to listen to nobody but him. He’s going to count to 10 and presto no more John memories. Marlena looks over at the clock and starts to have them anyway…lol…remembering he told her that every time the clock chimes she’ll remember she loves him. I loved the connection between her and John and the flashback. Just then the clock chimes. She tells Alex she’s tired and goes to bed. Dr. North thinks he’s home free.

John thinks its time to do something now even though Kate is against it.

Marlena is in her bedroom holding onto the clock. She hears John’s voice telling her to lock her door. She does so just as Alex turns up. When he knocks, she puts the clock in a drawer and lets him in. He wants to know why she locked the door. She makes an excuse. Alex shows her a photo album of old pictures…of them as lovers. She’s a little surprised but he tells her that she promised he was the only one she would ever love.

LOL…the look on his face is priceless. She thinks they would make a great thing. He’s thinking of starting the business from his home. She thinks they could start it from her place…then he would have his own 24-hour assistant. Austin doesn’t look so excited. Sami gets upset and Austin caves in…he’ll move in and she’s hired.

Kate’s Place: Kate/Lucas’s Apartment: Lucas and Sophie

Kate is mumbling about Lucas starting his new job at titan and maybe she should call him and wish him luck.

Sophie picks up Lucas’s phone when it rings and Kate wants to know who she is. Lucas gets on the phone and Kate congratulates him for moving on from Sami. Lucas isn’t a happy camper and wants to know what kind of person she thinks he is. Kate goes on a Sami rant. Lucas goes on a Kate rant and tells her that she has ruined his and Will’s life and he wants her out of his life for good. Kate hangs up and damns Sami…saying she is to blame for her losing Lucas but she will be damned if she loses Austin to Sami.

The phone rings and its Chelsea (see below).

Lucas brings in some coffee and Sophie thanks him for letting her stay in Will’s room. She mentions getting up for a glass of water during the night and hearing him talk in his sleep about Sami. He tells her that it will be a long time before he gets over his feelings for Sami, but they won’t ever have a future together.

Lockhart House: Billie, Patrick, Chelsea, and Kate

Billie thanks Chelsea for making coffee. Chelsea says she didn’t sleep because she kept thinking about Abby’s parents and her own. She goes on another rant about Bo and Billie being her biological parents. Billie asks her where she got those “pajamas”…how could she afford them. Chelsea smart-mouths her. Billie tells her to go put on a robe. Patrick walks in and asks Chelsea how she is. She’s not too happy with him either. Billie wants to know what happened. Chelsea tells her sarcastically that her father picked another stupid fight with Patrick. Billie wants to know more. Patrick explains that Bo misjudged what he saw. Chelsea defends Patrick and says that if Hope hadn’t turned up the fight would have been much worse…that Billie doesn’t think she can do anything right and she feels no connection with her.

Patrick leaves the room to give them privacy. Billie denies that she would do anything to make Chelsea miserable. Chelsea takes off to phone Grandma Kate…sigh…lays it on thick and asks her to come see her immediately. Billie asks her who she was talking to and Chelsea goes ballistic…she finally admits that she is going to ask her grandma for a salary advance because the only clothes she has are formal ones. Billie wants to know why she didn’t come to her…more ragging from Chelsea…

Chelsea comes back and Billie compliments her on her dress. They get into words about whether Chelsea really needs new clothes. Chelsea rubs it in that everyone in her family is an addict, prostitute, or both. Billie gets mad. Kate turns up and wants to know what she can do for her granddaughter. Billie wants to talk to Kate alone and tells her that she doesn’t want her giving Chelsea any more gifts (Chelsea is eavesdropping of course). Kate doesn’t want to stop but Billie pursues it.

Patrick is out back picking up the paper when Chelsea slams out of the house…more Billie ranting…a threat to make sure Billie learns a lesson she’ll never forget.

Kate is telling Billie that she will get Sami away from Austin. Billie reminds her that her kids have asked her a million times not to interfere in their lives.

Brady House: Hope, Bo, and Zach

Hope tells Zach to go into the kitchen to eat his cereal. Zach just looks at her. She tells him again and he rolls his eyes and goes...lol... Bo tells her she should take her anger for him out on the little man. Hope retaliates and says that its Bo who has the anger management problem. Bo argues that whenever he sees Patrick with his daughter it’s always the same excuse. She asks him if he ever once thinks that it’s Chelsea’s idea. We get a flashback of him locking horns with Patrick. She continues to defend Patrick and tells Bo that as a cop he can’t be going around assaulting anyone…he could end up pushing Chelsea right into Patrick’s arms.

Bo rants again. Hope reasons that Patrick is living with Chelsea and asks him if he thinks Patrick is taking over his role as father. Bo thinks he’s taking advantage of his daughter and says she was fighting him off when he got there. Hope remembers it differently. She thinks Chelsea was probably more upset that Bo was there and also because Jack’s dying. Bo says with that he thinks it’s strange that Patrick always turns up at the right time. Hope tells him he should be proud of his daughter for being there for Abby because until last night, Hope thought she was pretty self-centered. Bo says…you were wrong. She climbs on his lap and tells him she doesn’t want to fight with him and reminds him that their problems are nothing compared to Jack and Jennifer’s. Bo and Hope are thankful that they have each other. Hope tells him she wants to do something for Jennifer but it will take money. He’s okay with that.

Bo comes home and tells Hope that Zach got the bus on time. He has a box and hears Hope on the phone asking someone to block four hours. He tells her he has a present for her and gives her the box…says he made it when she was sleeping…a model of the Fancy Face III to remind her of the voyage they are on together. They kiss and he asks her how much time she has before she has to leave. Hope asks Jennifer whether there is something else Jack isn’t telling her. Jennifer thinks he will try to find a way to soften the blow for them.

Nicole sees Donald Trump and says: “You’re the Donald.” He replies that he is.

Janice’s Spoilers

Devereaux House: Hope, Jennifer, and Jack

Hope is trying to comfort Jennifer who is worried about being strong for Abby. Jennifer feels stressed. Hope tells her that she is treating her to a day at the spa. Jennifer would love to go but refuses to leave Jack. Jack is on the stairs eavesdropping. He whispers to himself that he needs Jennifer out of there because there is something important that he has to do before he dies. Hope tries to convince her and Jack comes in and tries to get her to go as well, if not for her then for him, Abby, and the baby. He wants some time to rest. Jen says she’ll go but won’t have a good time. She leaves to get her things.

Jack takes his wallet out to pay for it but Hope refuses. He thanks her for doing this and tells her that her love and support will mean a lot after he’s gone. She says that the Hortons stick together and they will be there for both of them. They hug.

After the women leave, Jack is back at the computer. He looks at the screen and decides that he has found the perfect way to go…as long as Jennifer doesn’t find out. He decides he needs some help and calls Billie…asks her to get right over there. Billie comes over and Jack thanks her for helping him. He asks her to keep another big secret and to carry it to her grave. She doesn’t want to but finally caves in and swears to keep the secret. He tells her he wants her to help him commit suicide.

Brady House: Bo, Chelsea, and Billie

Bo is on toy clean-up duty when Chelsea arrives. He tells her that Bo is with Jennifer and asks if she is okay. Chelsea talks about Abby and her dad and how she doesn’t know what to do to help her. Bo tells her to just be there for Abby...be her friend. She tells him how much it hurts to see Abby in pain. He warns her that it will get much worse. Chelsea rags on an absent Hope…says that if she were there she’d call her a spoiled selfish brat. Bo defends Hope and says she never called Chelsea that. He says that Hope knows that she is a caring person. Chelsea praises her dad for being cool. He brings up Patrick. She goes in for the kill and says that Patrick helps her out if she’s money hungry…er…short of cash. Bo tells her not to take cash or anything from Patrick.

Chelsea shows him her big…not so innocent eyes…she feels bad…cough…cough…for always asking Bo and Billie for stuff…and Billie and Hope think she’s a loser…yada…yada…Patrick doesn’t judge her. Bo asks her what happened to the $250.00 he gave her just a few days ago. She admits that it’s all gone…says she donated some to the Light the Night Walk…needed some girl stuff...undies...bra... Bo doesn’t want to hear anymore. He figures girls are more expensive than boys are…loves having a daughter…etc…gives her another $250.00 and tells her not to spend it in one place (jeez! I wish I had gotten an allowance like that at her age). She protests that she doesn’t need that much but he insists. Chelsea tells him he’s the best dad and asks him if they can keep it a secret from Billie.

Billie comes in (doesn’t even knock first) just then and wants to know what they are talking about. Chelsea accuses her of following her again. Billie denies it and says she just came over to talk to Bo. She still wants to know about the secret. Bo tells her its no big deal. Chelsea says it was to her…thanks her dad and takes off. Bo and Billie discuss Chelsea and then talk about Jack. He thinks Billie should be a little more patient with Chelsea and give her time. She tells him that she refuses to spoil her. Bo doesn’t think giving Chelsea and gift once in a while is spoiling her…they need to trust Chelsea more. Bo goes on about Patrick. Billie explains that he’s not after Chelsea because he’s interested in her. Bo isn’t a happy camper.

After Billie leaves, Bo looks in his wallet. He knows that Hope and Billie will get really cranky when they find out he gave more money to Chelsea.

Spa: Hope, Jennifer, and Chelsea

Jennifer can’t believe how expensive the prices are. Hope insists on paying. Jen thanks her. She decides to just get a massage and then go home. Hope says she promised Jack that she would keep her there. Jennifer wonders if there is something else Jack isn’t telling her...if he’s up to something.

Chelsea arrives and remembers Bo telling her not to spend it all in one place. She figures she only lives once and tells the spa lady that she is going with the platinum package and it will be cash. Hope is in the background watching the transaction.

Jennifer looks in the mirror and says to herself that she has to make every second count because maybe there will be a miracle…a cure…and anything is possible as long as Jack hangs on.

Lucas’s Apartment: Lucas, Sophie

The Rolling Stones are on in the background. Sophie whistles at Lucas. He wants her to help him pick out a power tie…he has to support Will now because Sami doesn’t have a job.

Sami’s Apartment: Sami & Austin

Sami is excited that Austin has hired her. He cautions her that they’ll try it and see how it goes. She tells him he won’t regret making her his assistant and with him living there she’ll be available 24/7. He tells her it won’t be necessary…lol…and she reassures him that he won’t be in the way. He tells her he has a meeting with Mickey but wants to handle it on his own. He leaves and Sami decides that her luck is definitely changing.

Back at Lucas’s Apartment:

Sophie thanks Lucas for the night before and says he was great. He tells her anytime. Sophie goes and an eavesdropping Sami tells Lucas that it obviously didn’t take him long to move on. He suggests that she do the same. She tells him about her new job and that Austin hired her. Lucas is shocked. She explains about how they are going to compete with Basic Black and Titan and brags that they will be very successful. Lucas thinks Austin made a mistake. Sami gets upset and wants to know why he can’t be happy for her. He tells her he wants her to succeed because of Will, but reminds her of her past history with Austin. She reminds him that Austin stood by her and she wants to pay him back…he’s going to live with her and work from her apartment.

Lucas asks her to confirm that Austin is moving in and she does. She insists that they are friends. He tells her she doesn’t have any friends…and heard her threatening Nicole. She says if Nicole stays out of her way then she won’t have any problems. Then she intimates that Sophie is a floozy and she hopes Will didn’t see her. She thinks Will should be with his mother. Lucas reminds her that Will doesn’t want to be with his mother and that Sami only has herself to blame. Sami is crying now and takes off.

Mickey’s Law Office: Donald Trump, Mickey, Frankie, Nicole

Nicole tells the receptionist who she is and says she has a meeting with Mickey. The lady apologizes and says that his schedule has changed as he is meeting with a very important person from New York. Nicole wants to know who could be more important than the soon to be divorced Nicole Kiriakis. Donald Trump arrives and Nicole recognizes him. She goes on and on about the Apprentice being her favorite show and how handsome he is. He pretty much ignores her and says he’s late and has to go. Nicole is like the energizer bunny and just keeps talking. She tells him about her soon to be divorce from a rich husband…Victor Kiriakis. Mr. Trump says he’s heard of him. Nicole says she’s available. He tells her he’s flattered but married and if she’s looking for a job he has all the apprentices he needs….maybe he can get her together with Martha. Nicole isn’t thrilled…lol…

Frankie comes in and introduces himself to her. He’s helping Mickey out. She wants to know why Donald Trump is there. Frankie plays dumb and tells her he has bad news…

Mickey thanks Mr. Trump for his contribution. Donald says that with success comes the responsibility of helping…they do good work here. He wishes him and the Horton Foundation a happy 40th anniversary. Nicole is on the hunt again. She pumps herself up and wants a place in Mr. Trump’s organization. He tells her he’ll get back to her…not really…lol… Frankie asks her into his office. She’s still upset with Mickey for being pawned off and denigrates Frankie’s abilities.

Frankie tells her that he’s a very experienced and accomplished attorney. He’s reviewed her case and as her husband has unlimited funds…they won’t settle unless she accepts a minimal payoff. Nicole goes ballistic…she got 5 million from loser Lucas and has to settle for one penny less from Daddy Warbucks? Frankie tells her there is no way she will get 5 million from Victor.

Austin arrives and Mickey tells him that Carolina will get his incorporation papers. He thinks that Austin’s plans are ambitious and wants to give him some ideas.

Nicole gets even angrier. She’s not going to accept a meager settlement from Victor. Austin hears her and says he is impressed by what she did for Titan. Mickey introduces Frankie to him. Austin wants to speak to Nicole privately. They step aside and Mickey tells Frankie he’s glad he is there. Frankie is glad to be working with him again. Mickey remembers a hospital fundraiser they worked on in the past…his caseload is pretty heavy…Kiriakis divorce…Marlena asking John for a divorce…poor Jack. Frankie tells him that he wants to make sure Jack’s things are in order. Mickey agrees and tells him that he’s glad he’s there for Jack and Jennifer. He mentions how he and Maggie used to think that Frankie and Jennifer would get married. He hopes he’ll be there for her after Jack’s gone. Frankie tells him he promised Jack he would.

Nicole is excited that Austin is opening up his own company. He tells her he wants to eventually compete against Titan and Basic Black but will need help. He’s impressed by how she kept Titan running and also posted higher profits. She says that she and Brady had great chemistry but that now she has nothing. Austin tells her he has a proposition for her.

Frankie tells Mickey that he will help Nicole as best he can. Mickey hopes she can move on. Frankie hopes the same for Jennifer.

…Later at Sami’s apartment, Austin is back and he tells her that he hired a new executive vice president…someone Sami will have to report to. Sami wants to know who her new boss is. Nicole tells Sami to say hello to her new boss. Lucas walks up and says he can’t miss this.

Preview:

Jack asks Billie what she is doing. Billie tells him that she is calling the one person who can talk him out of it.

Jennifer tells Hope that Chelsea will run straight to Bo and that will put him in a tough spot. Hope tells her that she just doesn’t want her to take advantage of her father.

Maggie asks Lucas if he is truly over Sami and whether there isn’t a part of him still in love with her.

Nicole tells Austin that she needs a place to live. Austin asks her why she doesn’t move in with him and Sami. Sami spits her drink all over the place.

Pat’s Spoilers

Lucas taunts Austin about his business not lasting a week. Austin says that what Sami, Nicole and he all have in common is that they need this to work. I was not impressed with Lucas’ attitude – he says he’ll be down the hall laughing when both Nicole and Sami stab him in the back. Lucas leaves. Sami asks him what he’s thinking. Austin comments that this may not have been his best idea yet. Nicole tells Austin to not let what Lucas said change his mind he’s just bitter because of what Sami did to him. Sami claims that it’s Nicole’s fault that Lucas is bitter. They argue. Austin tells them that they are proving Lucas’ point if this is how they’re going to get along. Sami claims that after working for John and Kate that is proof that she can work with anyone. Nicole tells her they are not working together; Sami is going to be working for her. Sami confronts Austin wondering why he isn’t going to be her boss. Nicole lists off a string of facts, Sami doesn’t have a high school diploma, she (Nicole) was an executive VP at Titan proving that she is the one that can work with anyone. Sami asks Austin how he can let Nicole talk to her like that. Austin replies that she hasn’t said any thing that isn’t true. He tells them that both of them are very smart and have never got the credit they deserve. They’re very competitive. He expects that to work for him. He also says that the stock he is giving them should be an incentive to work hard and work together. They will get rich together. Both Sami and Nicole have their little fantasies about a day at the spa. Nicole is responsible for Sami’s hair turning green and Sami adds something to Nicole’s facial to turn it into a solid substance. Austin gets a call from Mickey that he has to take – he tells them to play nice.

The minute that Austin turns his back the two of them start to bicker. Nicole warns Sami that she has Austin staked out. Sami says she has the inside track because they’re living together. Sami does make it clear she is not interested romantically in Austin but she knows she has to move on. Lucas has made that clear. I’m not going into their dialogue. Nicole says some very hateful things but Sami gives as good as she gets. It appears to me that both of their feelings were hurt. Of course when Austin is done they pretend that they are getting along. Sami tells Austin that she had a good talk with Nicole and she will try to be more humble. It’s for the good of ‘our’ company – she likes the sound of that. He tells them that he is going to be very conservative when they start out so there isn’t going to be much in their pay checks to start with. Sami says with the two of them sharing the rent it won’t be bad. She offers them a soda. Nicole says she’s staying at the Y and with not much pay she won’t be able to get an apartment – she really needs a place to stay. Austin tells her that she can move in with them. Sami spews her soda. Nicole is as pleased as punch as she goes on an on about being able to brainstorm 24/7 – getting a real edge on the competition. Sami says you’re forgetting this is my place. Austin says he should have asked her first but he thought she wouldn’t mind considering what she was just telling him. He asks her if she was lying to him. Sami says no – she can get along with Nicole but 24 hours a day – she asks him if this is a test. She finally agrees vowing silently to make Nicole pay. Nicole grins thinking that she has more time to get her hooks into Austin. LOL – I think his company is doomed before it gets off the ground – oh the corporate intrigue – the in-fighting…

Lucas meets with Maggie at the Java Café. He tells her she is the only woman he knows that has never ruined a moment of his life. She tells him that the lucky woman for him is still out there. Lucas will worry about marriage later for now he is worried about business. Maggie gives him a gift – a sign that says Believe In Yourself to put on his desk. Lucas admits to having trouble doing that. He thinks Victor will be watching him closely – Maggie is confident that he can pull Titan out of its slump. Lucas says your just saying this because you’re my AA sponsor. People don’t trust me because I worked for Tony. She asks him if he is working for Tony now or if he will do something that stupid again. He says no. She tells him if he starts doubting himself he can phone her. Lucas says this would be so much easier if he had a glass of scotch in his hand. Maggie is shocked. Lucas means it but he won’t do it. Maggie confesses that she walked past a liquor stores when Mickey was with Bonnie. She asks how things are with Sami and Will. Lucas says it’s over. Maggie says he will always be connected to Sami because of Will – part of him must still love her. He says that even Will doesn’t want anything to do with Sami. Maggie tells him that he is denial. Lucas admits that he still loves her but he will not get back together with that lying, manipulative witch. He’d go back to drinking before he’d go back to Sami. Drinking would be a more pleasurable way to kill himself. Lucas then makes a blonde bimbo deal (I have to say I took offence to Lucas calling both Sami and Bonnie blonde bimbos) with Maggie – he won’t bring up the one that run’s Alice’s if she doesn’t bring up the one he almost married. He’s focused only on his job. Today is the first day of a very successful career – he doesn’t need any blond distractions.

Hope sees Chelsea paying cash for the Platinum package at the Spa. Jennifer asks her what is wrong. Hope tells her that for all that Bo talked about finding his daughter she never thought the girl would end up being someone she did not like. She tells Jen about seeing Chelsea paying cash and she wonders where she got the money from. Jen says maybe she saved it up. Hope doesn’t think so considering Bo had to give her $250 just for essentials a few days ago. Hope doesn’t want to sound hypocritical because after all both she and Jen spent time at the spa as well but she doesn’t know how to get Chelsea to understand that money isn’t going to make up for losing her parents. Hope doesn’t see Abby doing anything like this. Jen says that Abby grew up working with her grandfather in Africa – she has a different view of the world. She loves helping people – she’s sending money to Africa. Hope can’t see Chelsea doing anything like that. She’s just afraid that with Bo missing the first 18 years of her life that he is going to be overindulgent. Chelsea keeps hitting him up for cash when she doesn’t need it. If she is lying to Bo that is going to make her very angry. As for Chelsea – yuck. She’s just a spoiled brat whose mission is to use and manipulate anyone she can to get what she wants. The way she talks to the workers – uncalled for. She’s just so proud of herself for being able to sucker money out of Bo. Jen asks her if she thinks that Bo gave her the money today. Hope is positive that he didn’t – not after the talk she had with him about Chelsea needing to learn responsibility. She sees how Chelsea plays Billie against Bo. Jennifer thanks Hope for bringing her to the spa. She asks if she is ready to leave. Hope says she is going to wait and talk to Chelsea. Jen warns her that Chelsea will run straight to Bo and that will put him in a tough position. Hope wants to make sure that Chelsea isn’t taking advantage of her father – her husband.

Jack and Billie: I’m not going to say much about these scenes. I find this storyline disturbing and as much as I like the character of Jack he really upset me today. I have to agree with Billie’s assessment of him – he’s a coward. Yes I understand that he doesn’t want his family to go through the pain of watching him to go through a long and painful death especially after what they’ve already been put through. What I don’t understand is why he thinks that killing himself now is going to make it any better. Jack upset me today because he basically asked Billie to commit a crime – she could be charged with murder if she helps him kill himself but does he think about that. He wants her to make sure the insurance company doesn’t figure out that his death was as a result of a suicide so that Jen is able to collect on the policy. So even if she does nothing to help him kill himself she would still be committing a crime – insurance fraud. I admired Billie for standing up to him. When he tells her “It’s my life, my death, my choice” she responds with “It’s my life, my conscious, my choice.” She tells him that she won’t help him – he’s on his own. Jack tries to convince her to change her mind but she stands firm. Jack goes on about Jen just sitting by his bedside not talking, not eating … just waiting for him to die. She asks him if he expects Jen to go dancing. He says after a suitable mourning period. He knows she’ll fall in love again and he wants Billie to promise that she’ll encourage Jen to go out and enjoy herself. Billie tells him to do Jen a favour and not commit suicide. Jack maintains that he will do it with or without Billie’s help. She says it will be without her help. She asks him if he’s going to tell Jen. He asks her if she is insane. He won’t tell the one person who might be able to talk him out of it. Billie goes to phone. Jack takes the phone from her and reminds her that she promised not to tell. Billie says that was before she knew what he was planning. She tells Jack that she is breaking her promise. She is going to tell Jen, she is going to break her word. Freeze frame on a very upset Jack.

Preview: Bo to Max – Cause if anyone hurts my daughter they will have to deal with me. Chelsea to Hope – As long as my mother Billie is around you’re going to have to watch your back. (Love the look on Hope’s face – she is NOT impressed with Chelsea’s attitude). Jack to Billie – It’s what I have to do. If you can’t help me I’ll have no choice but to disappear and do it myself. Jen (looking at the computer) to Jack – Oh my gosh. Have you lost your mind?

Pat’s Spoilers

Max is at his new garage with Frankie. Frankie thinks that it’s great that he wants to invest his winnings but he’s not to optimistic that this is the best move. It’s very quiet in the shop and he wants to know if Max has any customers lined up. Just then they hear the sound of a motorcycle. It’s Bo. Nice to see Bo, Frankie and Max share some screen time – after all they are family. Frankie suggests that he hire another mechanic. Someone that he could trust to leave in charge of the place when he’s on the circuit. Max thinks that’s a good idea but he doesn’t think it would be easy to find someone that is a good mechanic and trustworthy. Bo says he knows someone – his son. He works hard and is trustworthy most of the time. Max tells him to bring him in and he’ll talk to him.

Max checks the bike and says you haven’t brought it in for a tune up for quite some time. The parts are custom so Max is going to have pay the money upfront to get them. He asks Bo if he can pay half in cash now. Bo flashes back to giving Chelsea $250 and tells Max that he’s all tapped out with just buying a boat and… Max understands. He says he’ll get the parts. He knows Bo is good for it and he trusts him. Frankie goes to make a call. Bo tells Max he wants to talk to him about Chelsea. He doesn’t want her hurt. He knows that Max has quite the reputation and can have any girl he wants including Chelsea. Max tells him he doesn’t have to worry – they have put the brakes on and are taking things slow. Bo doesn’t want anyone to take advantage of Chelsea – she’s been through a lot. Max can relate to Chelsea’s situation– he knows what it was like to end up in foster care. Bo warns him saying if anyone hurts my daughter they would have to answer to me. After Bo leaves Frankie tells him that he couldn’t help but hear what Bo said to him about Chelsea. Max says then you heard what I had to say. Frankie is worried because he knows that Max has a tendency to go too far and then there is no turning back. In the past you haven’t been able to control yourself. Max yells that he is in control. (Hmm…I wonder what all this is about – Max definitely snapped over the control comments).

Jen thanks Hope again and leaves. Outside she looks at a picture of Jack and Abby and starts to cry. Hope comes out – Jen left her scarf behind. Hope comforts her. Jen says she’s gone through this twice already – she should be prepared. Hope tells her you can’t prepare for this. Jen doesn’t understand why this keeps happening to them (she’s not the only one … there’s got to be a better story for these two!). She hates this disease. There has to be something they could do. Hope says we can pray for a miracle. Jen thinks that prayers won’t be enough. She won’t give up – she’s going to learn everything she can about the disease and see if there are any experimental treatments for it.

Inside the spa Chelsea is telling Gloriane that she has waited to pamper herself for a long time – she’s come into some money so she’s going all out. Gloriane comments that she must have won the lottery. Chelsea sheds a few tears as she talks about how here and her adoptive mother were planning a day together for her birthday. They never got to come because her mom died. Now her life sucks. She has not one but two wicked stepmothers to deal with. Gloriane tells her to relax and leaves. Hope comes in. She tells Chelsea she’d like to have a little chat with her. Hope knows that they didn’t get off to a good start and she’d like to change that. Chelsea reminds her that she wasn’t the one that had a problem – Hope was. Hope looks at her bill and says this is very pricey. I assume Billie is paying for it. Chelsea says she was feeling down so she decided to splurge. Hope says we all need to do that every now and then. Being here today was a splurge for her as well. She suggests that Chelsea try and put some money aside. She explains that she and Bo had a financial setback a few years back and if it hadn’t been for some careful saving they wouldn’t have been able to send Shawn to college. Chelsea knows what this conversation is about. Hope is telling her to save her money because she doesn’t want Bo spending any of their money to send her to college. Hope says that is not it at all. If she wants to go to college Bo and her will do everything they can to make it happen. She is just suggesting that she save some money or donate it. Chelsea huffs that she helped Abby raise money for the Light the Night walk. Hope says they are very proud of her. She mentions that Abby is saving some money to send to a charity that helps children with Aids in Africa. Chelsea says she’ll give $10 – where’s Hope’s donation. Hope says she’ll write a check. Chelsea gets confrontational – she says to Hope – You think I’m a spoiled brat, don’t you? Hope denies it and says she hardly knows her. She would like Chelsea to come to dinner and spend time getting to know her brothers – maybe then she would realise that she doesn’t really have it all that bad. Chelsea’s a little snot. She gives Hope some advice. Just because Hope is married to her Dad, she still isn’t safe. As long as her mother Billie is around she better watch her back. She flounces out. Hope is not too happy.

Jack asks Billie to keep her promise. She can’t. She can’t stand by and watch him kill himself. She knows his family would want to be with him … He says you mean watch me die a slow and painful death. He says he can’t do that to them – he’d rather die first. Billie says there has to be another way. Jack insists there isn’t any other way and if Billie won’t help him he’ll have no choice but to disappear and do it on his own. Billie tells him that if he does this Jennifer will never forgive him – not for as long as she lives. She has to break her word and tell Jennifer. Jennifer comes in. She apologises for being gone so long. Jack tells her its okay. Jen is surprised to see Billie there and asks if anything is wrong. Jack says they were just reminiscing. Jen asks Billie if that is true. Billie says yes. Jen says it’s not that she thinks that they were lying it’s just that Jack kept the truth about his illness for so long she wonders if he’s keeping anything else from her. Jack says nothing. Billie says she has to leave – she has an appointment at Titan. They want her as a consultant on the Countess Wilhelmina line. Jack wants her out. Billie agrees not to tell Jen but she wishes Jack would change his mind. He won’t. Back inside he asks Jen what she brought him. She told him she stopped at the hospital and did some research on his disease. She figured out a way to beat it. A combination of diet and herbs can slow the progression of the disease. If he starts the regimen now he’ll see results in 6 to 8 weeks. Jack says he doesn’t have that long. Jen says he has months and months. She’s going to log on the hospital mainframe and he can read the research himself. He unplugs the computer – that is why she asks him if he is insane. He wants her to hear what he has to say. He will take whatever she wants him to take but she has to understand that his disease is irreversible. He is going to die. Jen asks him to promise her that when the time comes he’ll let her be there. They hug but Jack doesn’t respond.

Shawn is off in the far corner of the loft lifting weights while Mimi is at the desk with stacks of paper and a calculator. Things aren’t going so well…LOL! She slams the calculator down. Shawn asks her what is wrong. She says Rex used to balance her check book and looked after what little money she had. Now she’s doing it herself and she either forgot to enter a check or she did her math wrong because she doesn’t have enough money to pay her tuition. She’s double and triple checked. Shawn suggests financial aid. She tells him she missed the deadline to apply for it. Shawn says what about your mom. According to Mimi Bonnie spends everything she makes and then some and without Mickey to pay her bills she’s up to her eyeballs in debt. Shawn offers to help. Mimi thanks him but she knows what he makes at Alice’s wouldn’t cover parking let alone tuition. Shawn says he can get the money. She asks him if he’s going to rob a bank. He says in a way. I’ll use my trust fund. She didn’t realise he had access to his trust fund. He doesn’t but he could go and ask Victor for an advance. Mimi says that is the nicest thing anyone has ever wanted to do for me but she tells him that she can’t let him do that. Shawn asks what she is going to do – he knows how much she wants to finish college. She says she will take a semester off and get a second job and then maybe she can save enough for tuition. Shawn tells her that he thinks she is amazing. She never lets anything get down for long and she won’t take help from anyone. Mimi tells him that he has helped her everyday since Rex left. Shawn tells her that she did the same for him. Mimi tells him that they are lucky to have each other as friends. Shawn kind of smirks and says, Yeah, friends as he moves in to kiss her. Sigh. They kiss and Mimi reluctantly ends it and says she has to go and look for that second job. Shawn says now??? She doesn’t want to waste time. She thanks him for offering to help and says she will never forget it. Outside the door she stops and touches her fingers to her lips. Inside Shawn runs his hands through his hair and sighs loudly. He did not want her to leave … LOL!

He hears a knock at the door. He thinks Mimi forgot her keys and starts talking to her saying he doesn’t know which ones are hers. He opens the door and it’s Bo. He wasn’t expecting to see him. Bo says I think I found you a job. He tells him he can work as a mechanic at his Uncle Max’s garage while he’s going to school. Shawn tells Bo he’s not going back to school. Bo says like hell you’re not. Shawn reminds Bo that he is an adult now and he can’t tell him what to do. He’s got two years under his belt and that’s enough. Bo says that his mother is going to go through the roof. Everyone in her family has gone to college – they’re doctors and lawyers. Shawn was going to be a lawyer… Shawn says that was before he got in trouble with the law. He says college is not for everyone. He reminds Bo that neither he nor his mother went to college and they are fine. Bo says he can make his own decisions but he asks that Shawn at least think about it some more. Shawn says he has thought about it. He isn’t going back. Shawn knows this isn’t the best time but he is short on cash until the end of the month and he hopes Bo can lend him some. Bo says he doesn’t have any cash on him but Shawn can swing by the house. Shawn says no – he doesn’t want his mother to think he’s broke. Bo says he’ll try and smooth things over with Hope – he just wants Shawn to be happy. Shawn says he is he just wishes his mother could see that. Bo tells him that he is going to owe him big time for this.

Mimi is talking to Gloriane at the spa. She says she doesn’t have any experience as a receptionist but she’s a quick learner. She’s sure she could do this. Gloriane says her resume looks good she just needs to check some references. Billie comes in and says she doesn’t have to do that. She’s known Mimi for a long time. She’ll vouch for her. Gloriane says Billie’s word is good enough for her – she hires Mimi. Mimi is very excited and thanks Billie. Billie says anything to help out Patrick’s little sister. Gloriane and Billie go way back – Billie helped create Gloriane’s most successful product line. Gloriane and Billie talk about Billie’s return to Countess Wilhelmina. Billie tells her what her plans are – one of them is introducing a budget line of skin care products.

Hope come along and talks to Billie. Hope thinks Billie is there to pick up Chelsea. Billie didn’t even know Chelsea was there. She asks Hope what she is getting. Hope says just about everything. Hope knows that Bo gave her some money awhile ago but there is no way she’d have enough left to pay for this. She assumed that she got the money from her or Kate. Billie says she didn’t give Chelsea any money and she made her mother promise not to either. Hope says she had a wad of cash on her so she had to get it from someone. Billie feels if she confronts Chelsea there would just be another blew up. Hope tells her that she can’t back off just because she thinks Chelsea is going to get mad at her. Billie agrees she needs to handle it before Chelsea gets in trouble. Speaking of Chelsea … she’s shopping. The salesgirl tries to sell her a top but Chelsea can’t afford it. The girl tells her to charge it. No credit card! Chelsea says if you will take a post dated check I know I could get my Dad to pay for it. Hope and Billie continue to talk about parenting – it’s a very good conversation. Billie goes off to look for Chelsea. Hope sees Mimi and says hi. Mimi tells her she is working there now. Mimi tells her that she has to take a semester off from school and work two jobs just to save money to go back. Gloriane comes along and says so many people take time off and never go back. Mimi says not her. She is going to finish college. Gloriane says you should tell your roommate that. Hope says what – Gloriane leaves Mimi to deal with the fall-out…LOL! Hope says that Mimi must be mistaken – Shawn is going back to school. Mimi doesn’t want to get in the middle of this. Hope vows that Shawn will go back to school if she has anything to do with it.

Preview: Alex to Marlena – I just need you to do what I tell you to. Can you do that? Marlena – nods. Alex – Excellent. Frankie to John (looking at legal papers) – They beat us to the punch. John – The hell he has. No way North is getting away with this. Hope to Bo – I ran into Chelsea at the spa today. You definitely have your hands full. Chelsea to Shawn (in Max’s garage) – Hope doesn’t know yet, does she? Shawn – she does not. Chelsea – I wouldn’t want to be you when she does find out.

Pat’s Spoilers

Alex and Marlena – Very little detail on this because it’s just so boring. Alex wants her to look at the photo album with the pictures of the two of them. She asks if they will help her remember. He hopes so. She says she should be looking at the photo album John gave her as well because she is married to him. Alex is upset because he had thought he had erased all memory of John from her mind. She looks at a picture. It’s a picture of the two of them from when he was Roman on the show. She comments about his curly hair. She asks him when these were taken – was it before Roman? He doesn’t answer. He hypnotizes her again and asks her if she’ll do what he tells her. He gets her to sign the divorce papers. He takes them and says he’s going to fax them. She looks at the clock and has a flashback of John giving her clock as a gift.

John goes to Mickey’s office. Mickey has to go to court so Frankie will be looking after John’s legal troubles. John tells Frankie what he thinks is going on – that Dr. North is brainwashing Marlena. He knows that sounds crazy … Frankie is listening. John gives him the entire history including the fact that Lexie recommended him and that he only did a cursory check on the man’s background. Talks about the cabin and finding them kissing. About Marlena only agreeing to come back to Salem if Alex accompanied them. How every time he and Marlena are talking and she seems close to a break-through Alex shows up and interrupts. Now Marlena is talking divorce and asked him to move out. He does tell Frankie that he’s staying in the extra room in Kate’s hotel suite because he can see his apartment from there. He talks about seeing Alex bypass the security system and enter Marlena’s bedroom from the ledge outside her window. When he charged over there Alex denied everything and said he was going to get a restraining order to keep John away from them. John says he has to talk to Marlena alone – get her away from Alex. Frankie suggests that he draft up a letter to send by messenger to be delivered to Marlena asking for him to meet with John at a marriage counsellor’s. If they get this letter to her before Marlena files divorce papers it will show that he was attempting to make their marriage work and the court might order Marlena into counselling. They get the letter ready but before they can send it out they get the fax. (Don’t ask me how Alex knows that Mickey is John’s lawyer…sigh). John is angry and says Dr. North is not going to get away with this. He storms over to the penthouse. Frankie tries to calm him down but John isn’t really listening. Alex hears him pounding on the door and smirks saying something like the cavalry to the rescue. He opens the door and John goes after him – Frankie pulls John back – Marlena watches from the stairs.

Hope is trying to get hold of Shawn – she is leaving him a message when Bo comes home. Hope tells Bo that she was at the spa and Mimi told Gloriane that Shawn wasn’t going back to college. She is sure that Mimi was mistaken. Bo says Mimi was right – Shawn is not going back to school. He just came from Shawn’s place. She wants to know if Bo talked some sense into him. Bo says that Shawn’s mind is made up. Maybe if they just give him some time to live in the real world he’ll change his mind. Hope says he’s already had time. He’s been out of school for over a year. She blames Jan for ruining Shawn’s life. Two years ago he wanted to be a lawyer. If it wasn’t for Jan Shawn and Belle would still be together and going to school. Bo tells her that she doesn’t know that. Hope is going to find him and shake some sense into him. Bo tells her she can’t do that. Bo tries to say that he’s a grown up now and they have to trust him to make the right decisions for himself. She asks him if he made the right decision when he drove his bike through the stained glass window at St. Luke’s. Did he make the right decision when he drove his bike into a tree after he had been drinking? He’s not as mature as he thinks he is and this decision is going to affect the rest of his life. In this day and age he needs a degree. Bo tells her that not everyone needs to go to college. He doesn’t see Shawn as the corporate type. Hope tells him that he has to talk to him and convince him to go to school. Bo says you want me to spend more time with him but he’s not going to want to do that if every time I see him I tell him he made the wrong decision. He’s not our little boy anymore.

Hope insists that he will always be her little boy and she can’t stand by and watch him make a mistake. Bo says it’s his life, his mistake – they have to have faith that he can take care of himself. It’s all part of parenting. It’s a hard job but he thinks they did a good job. Hope brings up Chelsea. She tells Bo that she ran into her at the spa. She comments that Chelsea is a handful. Bo says what teenager isn’t? She’s eighteen with a chip on her shoulder. They have to stick together and make her feel like part of the family. Hope says she tried but Chelsea wasn’t receptive. Bo says they have to cut her a break. She lost her parents, found out she had an entire new family – that had to be overwhelming for her. Hope agrees but doesn’t think that gives her the right to be rude. She wonders what happened to her job at Basic Black. How did she have all this free time to spend at the spa and where did she get the money. She tells Bo that she saw Chelsea’s statement and she spent a small fortune. Bo says that either Billie or Kate must have paid for it. Hope says no. She talked to Billie and Billie told her that she didn’t give her any cash and she made Kate promise not to either. She takes one look at Bo’s face and knows that he was the one that gave her money. Bo admits it. She came to them with nothing – what was he supposed to do. Hope says giving her money to live on is one thing but … she tells Bo that he is a pushover. Bo thinks that she’s a good kid – she just needs time to adjust. Hope tells him that his daughter is a Paris Hilton in the making but without the hotels. He asks her to try harder with her. Hope agrees as long as he promises to talk to Shawn about going back to school. Bo agrees but tells her that if Shawn sticks to his decision they have to accept it. She won’t.

Chelsea doesn’t understand why Max would spend his winnings on a place like this (his garage). There are better things to invest money in like jewellery. He says if she wants bling to call P Diddy or whatever his name is. This place is perfect for a race car driver. He just needs to hire a mechanic who can be in charge of the place while he’s gone. She wants to know about their date. He says he has to finish fixing Bo’s bike. Chelsea goes into the office. Max starts up the bike but doesn’t like the sound of it. He can’t figure out what’s run … Shawn tells him that there’s an air leak in … (something…LOL). He takes a can, gives a part a little bit of spray and says the seal has to be changed. Max is impressed and comments that he knows bikes. Shawn says especially this one, it’s my Dad’s. Max realises that this is Shawn. They shake hands. Max tells Shawn that Bo told him that he was a good mechanic. Shawn says he’s my Dad, what did you expect him to say … but he’s right. Shawn says he came because his Dad told him that Max was looking for a mechanic. Max says he’s looking for more than that – he’s looking for a partner. Max offers him an equity position. Shawn says he doesn’t have the cash. Max says he’ll put up the capital. He’ll pay Shawn on commission basis to start with but he needs him there every day. Shawn says that won’t be a problem. Max says what about college? Shawn says he isn’t going to college – his father already knows. Chelsea interrupts and asks if his mother knows. Shawn says she does not. Chelsea says that Hope is going to go ballistic when she finds out. Shawn figures out really quickly that Chelsea really doesn’t know his mother at all. Chelsea tells Shawn that his mother doesn’t like her because she’s Billie’s daughter. Shawn says if you took the time to know her you would find out that she’s always wanted a daughter. Chelsea’s says not this wild-child. When Shawn finds out that Chelsea and Max are going out on a date he offers to finish working on his dad’s bike. Max gives him the keys to lock up. While he’s working his cell rings and it’s Mimi. She tells him that his mother found out from Gloriane that he quit college. Mimi is very apologetic but Shawn says it’s not her fault he’ll deal with it.

Max takes Chelsea to church rec- room – not exactly what she was expecting (the Penthouse Grill…Paris…). He promised an old friend that they would come for dance lessons. The old friend is an ex-girlfriend and Chelsea is jealous and pouts. They start dancing but Chelsea doesn’t have a clue who to do the salsa so she stops and tells him she’s leaving. He convinces her to trust him and just say and try again. He tells her to look into his eyes. She can do that. Next go round she knows every little move…(can you see me rolling my eyes.) I actually liked the two of them towards the end when she stopped pouting and listened to what he was saying but basically Chelsea just annoys me.

Preview: Hope to Bo – You have to put your foot down because if you don’t you’re going to create a monster. You know what, maybe you already have. Marlena to John – When did you want to go out? John – Right now. Marlena – Okay. Alex is not happy! Sami to Lucas – Don’t act like you care, I know you hate me. Lucas – That’s not true I still love you. Jen to Jack – Suicide – what is going on Jack Devereaux?

Austin tells Sami about the three computers they will use. Sami is just a bit upset about having to work with Nicole. Austin plays hardball and tells her it’s his company and his call. She tells him that she wishes he had checked with her first before inviting Nicole to move in. He reminds her that Nicole is living at the Y and is broke…also he thought that it was “their” apartment now. Sami backs off and he reassures her that it will only be until the company takes off. He thanks her for the sacrifices she is making. She tells him that she is doing this for him alone...really likes working for him and the company and she’s a hard worker.

Nicole comes in with her boxes and moves into Sami’s workspace, taking over her desk. When Sami calls her on it, she insists that Sami will simply be fielding calls for her and Austin and she knows just the right place for her.

Sami thinks Nicole’s boxes smell like garbage. Nicole tells them that Victor threw her stuff in the garbage and she had to get them out. Sami’s pretty ticked off…lol… They start arguing and Austin stops it and tells them to stick to the ground rules...professional during the day and roommates by night. Nicole says they should put Sami in the kitchen so she can make coffee. Austin chooses workspaces for both of them and insists that they shake hands on it.

Sami suggests that they advertise in the newspaper that Austin is back. Nicole suggests a press conference and says that any idea Sami comes up with, she can build on. Sami goes to make coffee and Nicole tells Austin that she wouldn’t tell anyone that Sami is working for him…Stan…and all...negative connotations. In the kitchen, Sami is trying to figure out how she can get Nicole out of there for good.

Sami downloaded the customer list off the computer and Austin tells her to put it on Nicole’s desk. She does so and sees a proposal…starts to review it…takes it over to Austin and claims ownership of it. He likes it. Nicole rags on her about Will. Austin wants them to be professional. Nicole returns to her desk…picks up the same proposal and asks him what he thinks of it. He asks her for her opinion and she says she thinks it is perfect. He wants to know if she’s sure. She tells him she wouldn’t make any changes.

Nicole grabs a family picture and puts it near Sami’s computer. She starts to type something. Sami returns with creamer and looks at the computer screen. The message is about Will never wanting to see her again and to have a lousy life. Sami takes off. Austin wants to know why but Nicole plays dumb. Later, Nicole grumbles about Sami taking too long a break. Austin wants her to get along with Sami. Nicole thinks Sami is going to self-destruct again before too long.

Sami is in the hallway crying when Lucas comes along. She tells him not to act like he cares because she knows he hates her. He tells her that’s not true and that he still loves her. Sami just looks at him.

Brady House: Bo & Hope

Bo thinks Hope is still mad at him. She tells him that it’s been a bad day...first learning about Jack and then finding out about Shawn dropping out of college. She’s still shocked that he gave Chelsea money again and that neither time did he discuss it with her as she discussed treating Jen with him. Bo tells her that he wouldn’t have cared if she didn’t tell him and explains that Chelsea told him the money would be spent on necessities. He reminds her that they are okay for money at the moment. Hope tells him it isn’t about the money…it’s about Chelsea becoming completely out of control.

Bo isn’t thrilled that Chelsea used the money for the spa and tells Hope he will talk to her and straighten her out. He won’t give her another penny until he does. Hope says he has two sons who also need him. He says he knows that and mentions spending the afternoon with Shawn. She wants him to talk to him again. He tells her he’ll try and praises Shawn for doing great for the past couple of months…pleaded out the charges against him…completed his community work. She says that Shawn is still not happy. Bo tells her it isn’t his fault...it’s the Belle situation...but Shawn seems to be moving forward. Hope’s glad but doesn’t want to see Shawn throw his life away...his future.

Bo knows she wanted Shawn and Belle together but she tells him that she understands that it can’t happen. He mentions the possibility of Shawn getting a job with Max as a mechanic. Hope gives him a dirty look. Bo reminds her that they are blue-collar cops and its nothing to be ashamed of. She thinks that Chelsea is ashamed of them being blue collar. Bo doesn’t agree. Hope explains that she doesn’t know how much more she can take and feels that she and the boys are not a priority to Bo. He looks shocked at her words.

He doesn’t think it’s a contest but admits he’s been trying to make up for lost time with Chelsea. He’s been with Shawn since he was born and Chelsea has only known about him being her father for a little while. Hope tells him that she honestly wants him to have a good relationship with his daughter but discipline is important and that Chelsea should be responsible like Shawn. Bo defends Chelsea again and throws back Hope spoiling herself at the spa as well. She does an I told you so scenario and reminds him that Chelsea lied and that he is just enabling her and could end up creating a monster...maybe he already has.

Bo is angry and confronts Hope about not liking Chelsea and that Chelsea thinks so too. Hope gives him a dirty look. She says she is sorry Chelsea feels that way...wants to give it a fair shot and hopes Chelsea does too...but she doesn’t want to fight anymore. She wants to call Jennifer. Bo whispers that it’s a nice way to change the subject.
Jennifer answers the phone and invites them over for pizza. Bo wants a truce. She smiles and says she thought they already had one. He tells her they’ll get through this.

Devereaux House: Jack, Jennifer, Bo, and Hope

Jack is on the computer. He finds a site for assisted suicide where they help you die with dignity. He clears the screen when Jennifer comes in. She wants him to drink a protein milkshake and take multiple supplements so she can keep him alive and healthy for as long as possible. He tries to but stops and tells her he doesn’t want to and tells her he can’t take it anymore. He apologizes to her for snapping and she makes him take the pills and drink the shake. He tells her he’ll do it for her and talks about wanting pizza. Jen is up in arms because it isn’t healthy. He doesn’t want to be denied his last craving. She’s suspicious of his wording and wants to know if his condition is getting worse and he’s not telling her. Jack denies it but says they have to be realistic...he is going to die. She’s hoping for a miracle or medical breakthrough and insists that he drink the shake and take the pills. He does and she tells him solemnly that she will go order the pizza.

Jack plays with swallowing/not swallowing the pills but sees Jen’s picture and ends up swallowing them. He wants to hurry the process along so Jen isn’t put through this anymore. He types into the computer…. please contact me at this number to talk about death with dignity. Jennifer comes back in and says she can’t believe it…she was looking at the pizza menu and asks him if he remembers when they ordered wild pizzas with pineapple, pepperoni, onions and anchovies when she was pregnant with Abby and got cravings. He tells her that he has a craving for her and how much he loves her. They kiss.

Hope phones and Jennifer invites them over for pizza.

Bo and Hope come in. Jack keeps putting his foot in his mouth. Bo asks Jack how he is. Jack looks nervous and says he’s okay. The pizza is delivered and Bo goes to get the beer in the fridge. Jennifer tells Hope that she is praying for a miracle. The phone rings and Jack tries to handle paying for the pizza and beating Jennifer to the phone. Bo asks Hope if she is okay. She asks him to hold her. Jack yells that he’ll get the phone but Jen’s already got it. The connection isn’t very good and she asks the caller what he/she said…suicide? Then she looks at Jack and demands to know what is going on.

He says that he’s going to make sure that John never comes near Marlena again. John warns Marlena that Alex is bad and that she would never have asked him for a divorce if the doctor hadn’t brainwashed her. Alex yells at him to get out. Marlena is upset and begs him to leave for her sake.

In the hallway, John tells Frankie that he can’t leave Marlena in the penthouse with that fraud. Frankie tells him he doesn’t have much choice. He believes that Alex is using his position to break him and Marlena up and threatens to break Alex’s face. Frankie tells him that would be a mistake. John says that Alex is even worse that Stefano...is manipulating her...and imposing his will against him.

Back in the penthouse, Alex is hypnotizing Marlena again. He tells her its time to forget John.

Frankie suggests that John get power of attorney and declare Marlena incompetent if he has the evidence. John doesn’t want to and says they have to find a way to discredit Alex North. Frankie tells him that Marlena must remember something...somewhere... John wonders if it’s possible because of how Dimera took away his memory and he never got it back.

Alex bad mouths John to Marlena again…yada…yada… She looks at the clock and has a flashback to John giving it to her again…then asks Alex what if he is wrong about John.

Frankie gets in the elevator and John looks at the penthouse door and fervently says…you come back to me…remember our love…

Alex tries to convince Marlena that John is irrational, etc… Marlena flashes back to their wedding night. Alex is talking on the phone. He wants a restraining order against John ASAP.

Marlena slips out of the penthouse and sees John still there. He tells her he just couldn’t get on the elevator. She knows he wants to spend time with her. He confirms it. Alex tells Marlena to come back inside but she won’t. She tells John she will change and they can go out right now to talk. Alex isn’t a happy camper. Frankie gets tough with Alex. Alex tells him that he’s called for a restraining order already. John tells Frankie to make sure Alex doesn’t follow them and he leaves with Marlena.

Alex is ticked. He tells Frankie he can’t hold him there against his will. Frankie warns him that Marlena will get her memory back eventually and that he can’t destroy what she and John have. Alex runs out and Frankie goes after him.

The Rolling Stones are playing in the background and the place is decorated for Halloween. John is explaining the history of the restaurant to Marlena after she asks if they have been there before. He brought Marlena there so she would be comfortable. She tells him that she’s a little confused and disoriented and isn’t sure if she is having memories or not. He tells her there isn’t any rush and that being alone with him is a major breakthrough in itself. Marlena asks him if he has any magic words to help her make sense of things. He tells her that he just wishes that whatever she is feeling that she would discuss it with him so they could get it over with. He wonders if she’s nervous about seeing Shawn and Mimi tonight. Belle denies it.

Mimi looks him over and says if her mom’s right, they he is going to do very well because he really looks hot. Shawn tells her that she looks extremely hot. When she complains that she’s cold, Shawn/Tarzan offers to take her Mimi/Jane behind the bar to get warm…lol… She’s tempted but tells him they have to work.

Shawn talks about his new partnership with Max. He’s hoping that he can build up his clientele so he won’t have to work at the bar as often. Mimi asks him if he is sure. Shawn replies that he’s always loved working with cars and bikes and now he gets paid to play. She suggests that he could work at the garage and still go back to school just in case. He tells her that she sounds like his mom. Mimi jokes around says well her mom would... (flips her hair as she tells him sotto voiced that he could build up his clientele just by wearing a Speedo and if he works out in the open he where he gets super greasy...
They both laugh.

Belle gets upset with Philip’s line of questioning. She starts yelling at him and wants to know why she would be upset about seeing Shawn and Mimi...they are their best friends...neighbors...Claire’s godparents. She tells him that she isn’t uncomfortable with Shawn and Mimi being there and she doesn’t have a problem with them being together...and even if she did...which she doesn’t, she has to get used to it right??? Just as she has to get used to being a mother and having postpartum depression. She yells some more and says if they are going inside can they just do it??? Then stomps off. Philip looks up at the sky as if asking for strength...lol...

He suggests that they switch mothers and she’s ready to in a heartbeat. He tells her that he knows how important it is to her and reiterates his offer to dip into his trust fund for her. He tells her she can consider it as a loan and pay him back after she graduates. She refuses and says that money is for his education alone. Shawn tells her honestly that school isn’t for him and asks her to do him a favor as a friend and drop it. She agrees. He says he has to do what’s right for him...just like his mom is doing what is right for her...and Mimi is doing what is right for her...he’s dropping out of college and that’s it. Philip and Belle come up to the bar. Belle asks him what he means by saying he is dropping out of college. He just stares at her.

Bonnie spots Roman coming in without a costume and gives him a cowboy hat and sheriff’s badge to wear. He notices John and Marlena.

Marlena tells John nervously that it looks like its getting busy. He tells her that the only one he sees is her…sigh…and thinks that the more time they spend together…the more she will learn just how much he loves her. He thinks she will reconsider asking him for the divorce.

Big bad evil Alex comes in and Bonnie dresses him appropriately…lol…as the villain of the piece ala a black hat. He looks over at John and Marlena and isn’t too happy.

John sees Alex and then his cellphone rings…its Frankie warning him about Alex. John tells him he’ll take care of it. Marlena asks him if something is wrong. John asks her to look into his eyes because he has something very important to say to her.

Roman walks up to Alex and warns him not to bother John and Marlena. Alex plays dumb. Roman suggests that Alex is afraid of Marlena getting her memory back because then he would be the loser. Alex plays the “I’m her doctor and only want what’s best for her” card. Roman says he just wants Marlena to be happy.

John tells Marlena that he believes it was Alex who gave her the idea for the divorce. We get a flashback of Marlena being hypnotized. John tells her they had a powerful bond and she just has to believe because then she will be able to fight the amnesia.

Belle tells Shawn that he has to finish college. He asks her why and tells her that Max offered him a great opportunity...and she knows how much he loves working on bikes and cars. Philip supports him and says that he’s damn good at it. Belle wants to know about his dreams and plans...finishing law school and joining his Uncle Mickey in his law practice. He tells her that some dreams aren’t meant to be and you have to let them go. She tells him this is his entire future and he can’t let it go. Shawn asks her why she is giving him such a hard time when she didn’t finish either. She gets angry and tells him that she only took a leave of absence because of the baby, but she is going back to get her degree...besides what kind of a role model would she be to her daughter if she didn’t? He tells her that she’s doing what is right for her...for her husband...and for their baby. He’s doing what’s right for him. Belle tells him he’s wrong…it isn’t right for him. He comes back at her and says he’s just taking her advice…moving on with his life.

John points Belle out to Marlena and says how their daughter has grown into a beautiful young woman…there is no doubt that Marlena is her mother. Marlena flashes to baby Belle. He tells her that she needs her very much, as do all of them.

Roman is with Bonnie. He thinks Marlena is getting her memory back. She asks him whether he is wondering if Marlena will want John or him if she does get her memory back.

Alex is playing with jewelry again. He mumbles that he has to make sure she doesn’t remember anything about John. Bonnie bumps into him from behind and he gets angry. He walks off in a huff. Bonnie looks down on the floor and sees the crystal from Alex’s necklace. She decides finders’ keepers. Close by, Alex notices the crystal is gone and worries where it disappeared.

Belle won’t leave well enough alone. She thinks Shawn is throwing his life away. Shawn tells her he can’t have this conversation with her and walks away. Philip asks her if she is okay and she tells him she is and wants to know why she wouldn’t be...it’s his life. Then she leaves to talk to her parents (doesn’t want him to go with her). Philip watches her leave. Mimi asks him how he is. He confesses that Belle’s moods are up and down all the time. Mimi comforts him.

Belle tells her parents that its good to see them together…then apologizes that she shouldn’t be bothering them. Belle is unhappy…she thinks nothing will ever be the same. Marlena comforts her and suggests they go to the ladies room to freshen up.

Roman takes Marlena’s place at the table. John tells him that Marlena’s reaction to Belle was a positive one, and she might be getting her memory back. Roman offers his support.

In the restroom, Belle tells her mom how much she has missed her. Marlena apologizes and tells her she is there for her. Belle starts crying and says that she is the worst mom…isn’t happy…total failure as a mom and wife and human being. Marlena comforts her and tells her she is going through a very bad time. She muses whether it might be more about losing Shawn and less about postpartum depression. Belle just looks at her uncomfortably.

Philip is sitting at the bar and asks Shawn if he thinks he can be happy spending the rest of his life working on cars. Shawn asks him if there is something wrong with being a mechanic. Philip says not at all. Hope and Bo show up. Hope says that she thinks there is plenty wrong. Shawn looks at his mom resignedly.

Bonnie is looking at the crystal and wondering what it is; she puts it down the bodice of her saloon-like dress for safekeeping.

Alex frets about the crystal.

Jack calls the dying with dignity people back and tells the guy that he’s still interested…understands that U.S. laws are different…but they have to be careful. Jennifer wants to know about his call. He tells her he was checking his horoscope...goes on about it saying something about spending the night with the woman he loves.

John comes up to Alex and asks him if he lost something…lol… Alex tells him he lost his car keys. John hands him his and tells him he’ll see him later. Alex refuses. He thinks Marlena might need him later. John doesn’t think so and rags on the bad doctor. Alex rags back. John tells him that by the time the night is over, Marlena will change her mind about him and the divorce. Alex says they’ll see about that.

Roman is back with Bonnie. She tells him he’s giving up a great proposition. He tells her he isn’t into relationships. She tells him she just wants to have a good time and they toast beers to that.

Hope tells Shawn that he’s made some mistakes in the past but just when she thinks he’s getting his life back on track he pulls this. Bo defends him and says that there’s nothing wrong with being a mechanic if that’s what Shawn really wants. Hope cuts him off and says its fine if Shawn wants to be a mechanic as long as he works for Max part-time and finishes college. Shawn tells her that she sounds just like Belle. Hope says that Belle is right. Mimi is behind the bar with Shawn now. He tells his mom that college isn’t for everyone and especially not for him.

Hope gets Mimi involved and asks her if she agrees with what Shawn is doing. Mimi admits that she doesn’t really agree with Shawn’s decision, even though she has taken college leave herself. Hope plays on those words and adds that Mimi is only doing it so she can get tuition to go back to college. She tells Shawn that if that was what he was doing then she would be okay with it...but he’s playing with his future and finding a job is hard enough...but without a college education and degree...Shawn tells her he’s got a customer and takes off. Hope looks exasperatingly at her husband and wants to know why she was the only one arguing with Shawn. She wants Mimi to go and talk some sense into Shawn. Mimi respectfully tells her that she has told Shawn how she feels...she may not agree with Shawn’s decision but she respects his right to make it. As she leaves, Hope yells sarcastically… even if he decides to throw himself off a bridge???

A subdued Belle tells her mom that she can’t cry about Shawn anymore...Philip is her husband and she has a baby...Philip is her future. Marlena asks if she is sure. She knows that they have been apart for a while now and she doesn’t remember much, but things are going to change. She tells Belle that whenever she thinks she’s alone, to remember that she is anything but alone. Belle cries in her mother’s arms and tells her she will be okay, she just wants her mom to remember how much they love each other and for them to be a family again.

Jack comes up to Jennifer wearing the red, white and black costume of a superhero...lol... He asks her in a deep voice if she’s alone and she says she’s waiting for her husband. Jack takes off his mask and tells her that her wait is over. Jennifer laughs and wants to know where he found the costume. He teases her and asks her to dance. She asks if he is sure but he tells her he just wants to enjoy every moment he has left with her.

Hope looks grimly at her son and husband and asks Bo to please talk to their son again because he obviously won’t listen to her. She leaves and Bo tells Shawn that they need to talk. Shawn agrees but says he is working. Bo tells him that his mom just wants what’s best for him. Shawn disagrees and says that his mom wants what she THINKS is best for him. His dad tells him it’s a kind of parent thing and that one of these days Shawn’s kids will accuse him of the same thing. Bo admits that he’s been preoccupied with Chelsea lately...but he loves his boys and no matter what Shawn chooses, he will be there for him. Shawn tells him that he loves him and his mom but wants to know how he can convince her that he has to make his own decisions. LOL...Bo says: “Carefully”?

Hope sits down on a bench next to Belle. She tells her that word has it that Belle is as upset as she is about Shawn quitting college. Belle quietly says it’s really none of her business. Hope pursues it and wants Belle to admit that she agrees it’s a mistake. Belle does and then says that she can’t believe that Mimi didn’t talk Shawn out of it. It’s Hope’s turn to agree and she adds that the truth is...she’s doesn’t know if Mimi is the best influence on him. Bonnie overhears and tells Hope that her Mimi is the best thing that could have happened to Hope’s son! Mimi sees them together and says that this can’t be good. She shouts for Shawn and motions him to come over.

Marlena really wants to get her memory back. John talks to her about remembering them in New Orleans...smelling the gumbo and listening to music. Marlena has a flashback of him giving her the ring before just as he slips it on her finger. She tells him she remembers. Meanwhile Alex is talking to the DJ and gives him a CD to play. The music box song plays and Marlena starts to go off in a trance.

Jack and Jennifer are on the dance floor and he complains, so the DJ plays something else and they dance again.

Alex isn’t happy. Marlena comes out of it and says she just got distracted but remembers being engaged. Meanwhile, Alex mumbles that he has to find the crystal. John reminds Marlena of how they danced that night and suggests they do it again and see if she remembers more. They go out on the dance floor. Alex still isn’t happy...yada...yada...

Jack is twirling Jennifer around and they are laughing. They both remember when they danced on the talk show and she tells him that this will be a wonderful memory too.

Roman wishes his brother a happy Halloween. Bo asks Roman if he came alone. Roman mentions talking to Bonnie and sharing a few laughs. Bo sees Bonnie and his wife talking and murmurs that they don’t seem too happy.

Bonnie tells Hope if she makes one more snide remark about Mimi...

Shawn wants to know what’s going on.

Bonnie exaggerates and tells him that his mother thinks Mimi is a bad influence on him... she’s not good enough for him...etc... Hope denies the last part. Bonnie keeps going and says that she happens to be a graduate of Hair Hoppers School of Beauty with a major in manicures and a minor in pedicures. She’s also working on her license to drive eighteen wheelers and only has a few hours left to quality for home heating and air conditioning maintenance...etc... Mimi is mortified. Hope says in a deadpan voice that it looks like Bonnie has taken every course that Matchbook has to offer. Mimi tells them both to stop it. Bonnie refuses and says she isn’t ashamed. Mimi tells her mom that she is embarrassing her and that everyone can hear her. She tells them she has to get out of there. Shawn looks at the two women and grabs a shirt and takes off after Mimi.

Belle watches him leave and angrily tells Philip that she wants to go home.

Alex is still looking for the stupid crystal and looks over to Bonnie. He focuses on her bosom and wonders...

Mimi is outside and Shawn yells at her to wait for him...she must be cold. She talks about her mom and he tells her that it doesn’t matter because her mom doesn’t speak for her anymore than his mom speaks for him. He tells her he cares for her and it doesn’t matter what they say because it’s not going to change how he feels about her. She worries that he’s cold as well. He just says that if she’s fine then he is fine and goes to kiss her.

Belle and Philip walk out and see them. Philip tells Belle that he told her that Shawn and Mimi were getting closer. Belle doesn’t look happy.

Back inside, Bo wants Hope to tell him what happened. Bo doesn’t want to talk about it. She just wants them to concentrate on each other for the rest of the evening. Bo agrees.

Roman ropes in Bonnie and asks her what Sheriff Brady can do...lol... She tells him he’s off to a good start just as the crystal falls to the floor.

Of course Alex picks it up. He calls it his lucky charm and hopes it’s not too late.

John and Marlena are still dancing. She tells him she remembers the man she loves.

Jack and Jennifer are enjoying themselves and he spins her around again. Then he falls to the floor and she starts to scream.

Preview:

Shawn is holding Clair. He says that he and Mimi can handle the baby.

Philip is talking to a crying Belle. He tells her that every time he mentions the two of them together, she gets very upset. Belle denies it but Philip tells her its because she’s afraid of losing Shawn.

Jennifer tells Frankie that she shouldn’t be leaning on him like this. He tells her that he has a perfectly good shoulder going to waste.

Alex tells John that there isn’t any point in hiding this any longer—he and Marlena are in love.
