Willow decides to take a lunch break just as Shawn arrives. He’s already eaten with his dad but offers to keep her company. She wants to go for a greasy hamburger. He tells her he had a good talk with his dad who is going to talk to Max about getting Shawn’s job back for him. She asks about Kayla and Steve.
Willow encourages him to go and apologize to Max...it will improve the odds. She finally convinces him when she reminds him that this is about his kid.
Max’s Garage Part I:
Max and Frankie talk about Steve and Kayla. Max is proud of his brother for finding the experimental drug for them...glad he didn’t leave town. Frankie tells him he’s going back to D.C. Max teases him by saying that he thought he came into town to take care of his little brother. Frankie says that he isn’t going anywhere until Steve and Kayla are better. Mimi arrives and asks if the police have come any closer to catching the bad guys. Frankie glares at her. Max says he sure as hell hopes so before they hurt anyone else he cares about.
Frankie asks sarcastically what Mimi is doing there. Mimi takes the hit graciously and asks if there is anything she can do to help with Steve and Kayla. Max explains to Frankie that he is working on Mimi’s car. He tells her that it is running perfectly but she needs to remember to change the oil every so often. Mimi is very grateful. Frankie mocks her. She tells him that Max saved her from having to ride the bus. Frankie walks out. Mimi shrugs and tells Max that Frankie hates her. Max explains that Frankie just has trust issues with women in general ever since Jennifer broke his heart.
Frankie asks Abby what the hell is wrong with his brother...why is he hanging around Mimi after what she did to Shawn? Abby tells him that Max would never turn his back on his family but that Shawn acted like a jerk. She thinks he’s a great guy. Frankie figures she likes Max.
Mimi tells Max she won’t be able to pay him until she gets a second job...things are hard at Chez Rouge when she has to work with Willow and the tips aren’t what she hoped they would be...tells him she’s put in applications at offices but her short time at university taking accounting is against her. Max tells her he has the perfect place for her to work— at the garage.
Mimi tells him she won’t take charity. He tells her that Abby is swamped and he needs a part-time bookkeeper. They joke about keeping the books legit and benefits. Frankie and Max get a call...Steve is conscious...Kayla is worse...they rush off to the hospital. Abby puts Max’s books on Mimi’s desk and wishes her luck in filling in the blanks. She thinks Max is a great guy except when it comes to paperwork. Mimi can’t believe her good fortune. She never thought anyone would ever talk to her again after what she did and then out of the blue someone steps in that she hardly knows and believes in her. She tells Abby that it makes her want to work harder and be a better person. They hear laughing.
Willow and Shawn walk into the outer office. She gives him a good luck kiss and lets him go in alone. Abby walks out and he asks for Max. She tells him Max is at the hospital. Shawn wants to leave a message telling him that he feels bad and wants to apologize. Abby tells him that Max feels the same way. Mimi comes out...starts to ask Abby a question. Both Mimi and Shawn stare at each other.
Shawn gives Mimi the cold shoulder and addresses his comments to Abby only...tells her he’ll come back when it isn’t so crowded. Mimi asks him if it would kill him to act like a grownup. Shawn says that he came to see Max and not his ex-wife. He asks what she is doing there. She tells him that he better get used to it because Max gave her a job. Shawn sees red. He can’t believe that Max fired him and hired her...asks her what the hell she did to talk him into that. Mimi tells him that Max offered her the job without her even asking. Abby supports her by saying that Mimi came in to have her car fixed and it just happened. Shawn is really angry now. Mimi suggests to Willow that if she really cares about Shawn, then maybe she could tell him to stop acting like a jackass. Shawn warns Abby to watch her back and don’t ever think that Mimi is her friend or that she can trust her. He and Willow leave. Mimi can’t believe how much Shawn hates her. Abby asks if she is alright.
Hospital
Caroline, Shawn Sr., and Bo watch Steve and Kayla through the window. Bo wonders what the hell is going on and whether the drug is working. Hope comes in with Billie. Bo walks up to Hope with a stunned look...asks if her errand was Billie. She tells him it took some convincing but she thought Billie needed to be there. Billie asks Caroline and Shawn Sr. about Steve and Kayla. Dr. Myers joins them and says the drug seems to be having some positive effect...both are breathing easier and their fevers are down...doesn’t mean they’ve beaten this yet. Billie sees Steve open his eyes and tells the others.
Kate goes to visit Stephanie. Stephanie apologizes for wrecking the car. Kate doesn’t blame her but uses the fact to convince Stephanie to stay out of the public eye and stop racing for a while...tells her she will release her from her contract. Chelsea arrives and figures that Kate is dumping Stephanie.
Billie talks to Steve through the intercom. Dr. Myers comes back and asks the others to come with him for a talk. Billie watches Steve struggle to sit up. He stumbles over to Kayla’s bed and touches her cheek, then steps slowly up to the intercom and asks about Stephanie. Billie tells him that she is okay.
Caroline tells Dr. Myers that he worked a miracle with Steve but what about Kayla. He isn’t sure when Kayla will wake up because she isn’t reacting in the same way...her fever is up and her breathing is labored...she may be worsening because of the drug...hasn’t been fully evaluated...may increase her dosage but then the negative effects might increase as well. Shawn Sr. and Caroline both tell him to do whatever he has to do to save their daughter.
Kate isn’t thrilled to see Chelsea. Chelsea rags on Kate for dumping Stephanie. Kate plays on Stephanie’s weaknesses and gives her the papers to sign. Chelsea rags on Kate. Stephanie signs the papers and Kate and Chelsea leave. Kate and Chelsea go at it in the hallway. Chelsea heard about Max breaking up with Stephanie. Kate attacks her for second-guessing her in Stephanie’s room...for the hooker fiasco. Chelsea is on a “get my parents back together” kick again. She goes into a speech about everything wrong in her life...nobody wants her...yada...yada...
Billie tells Steve she was afraid she would lose him. He tells her she won’t but in case he doesn’t, wants to tell her how he feels about her. He tells her that she is the only person who doesn’t hate him for not remembering his life...says she knows how he feels about her, doesn’t she? Billie tells him that she feels the same way and was afraid that he would remember Kayla and she would get her heart broken again. She wants the Steve he is now and not the memory of what he used to be.
The group expands as Frankie and Max join the others. Caroline tells them that Kayla has been through many things and will survive this. Hope and Frankie leave to tell Stephanie about Steve. Bo pulls Max away...mentions his disagreement with Shawn about Mimi. Max tells him that Mimi is his friend and yes she broke Shawn’s heart so he has a right to be angry...but he crossed the line this time and acted like a total jerk. Bo explains about Belle’s ultimatum that if he didn’t get his act together he could forget about being a part of Claire’s life. He tells Max that Shawn is determined to put his life back together. Max clues in that Bo wants him to give Shawn his job back. Bo tells him it’s also for Shawn’s daughter so she can grow up knowing her father.
Max knows that Shawn is a great mechanic but says he has a hell of a temper. Bo counters that Mimi did kind of kick his guts out. Max thinks that Shawn should understand that Mimi made a mistake. Bo argues that Shawn deserves a second chance just like Mimi and that she shouldn’t effect his getting his job back. Max explains that he gave Mimi a job and refuses to turn his garage into a war zone so Shawn has to keep cool and find a way to get along with her. He promises to talk to him.
The group comes back still upset. Billie puts her foot in her mouth and asks them what they mean...after all Steve is okay. Hope reminds her that Kayla isn’t and that Dr. Myers isn’t sure Kayla will make it. Bo returns just as Frankie brings Stephanie in a wheelchair. She doesn’t know about Steve and is very upset. Hope shows her that Steve is okay and she is ecstatic and rolls over to the window. Steve tries to comfort her when she sees Kayla. She just wants them back in her life...wants her parents back.
Steve tells Stephanie that it will happen and that her mom will pull through. Just then Kayla’s equipment goes haywire and she starts having seizures. Stephanie cries... everyone else worries...Steve moves towards Kayla again.
Docks?
E.J. tells Patrick that the police are on to them... mentions seeing Bo leave Sami’s apartment after questioning her about the fingerprints on the envelope. He says that they will have to communicate through a courier from now on...one they can trust. Patrick is told he has to get Chelsea to keep tabs on Bo. Patrick thinks it’s a really bad idea. E.J. doesn’t care...he insists on it.
Patrick’s House:
Chelsea is on the phone talking about her hospital schedule when Patrick arrives. He tells her that doing community time is better than doing jail time and starts ragging on Bo...is sure he was set up. Chelsea thinks her dad is too honest to falsely arrest anyone. Patrick goes on about Bo...talks about Chelsea spending time with him so he will end up with Billie and not Hope. Chelsea is on to him and figures this will play into him being with Hope instead. He wants them to work together. She asks if he wants her to spy on her own father.
Chelsea isn’t thrilled. Patrick figures she has done worse. She argues that she wants to build a relationship with her father even if he cares more about Shawn than her. Patrick insists that breaking up Bo and Hope is the first step. She tells him she can’t spy on her father but will try to break them up in her own way.
Max’s Garage Part II:
Max tells Abby and Mimi that he has so much work that he needs to hire another mechanic. He talks about his conversation with Bo and how he has agreed to hire Shawn back in his old job. Nobody says anything. Abby finally tells him that things got pretty interesting when he was in the hospital and that Shawn came over to apologize. Max is surprised. Mimi admits that when Shawn found out that Max had given her a job that he totally lost it. She tells him that if he wants to drop her and hire Shawn back she will totally understand. Max is mad...thinks Shawn is out of control...figures somebody else can hire him. Mimi tries to change his mind. She thinks Shawn has learned his lesson but probably was just caught off guard by seeing her there. She says that if Max gives Shawn his job back, that she will deal with it.
Chez Rouge Part II:
Shawn and Willow come in. Shawn rags on his Uncle Max giving Mimi a job...like a slap in the face...thinks Mimi has her hooks in Max just like she had in him and is sure he won’t fire her. Willow gives him the idea to call E.J. and ask for a mechanic’s job.
Kate’s Place:
Kate wants to talk about Stephanie Johnson. E.J. wants to get hot and bothered. They get interrupted by a phone call from Shawn asking for a job. E.J. tells him that he might just have one for him.

Kate tells E.J. that this isn’t what she wants. He asks her what she wants and she tells him she wants him.

Pat’s Spoilers
Brady Pub – Part 1: Kate is sitting in a booth alone. She calls EJ and leaves a message for him. They need to talk about Stephanie. Marlena and John join her. Kate has talked to Austin and John & Marlena have talked to Carrie. The consensus is that they are happy and that is what they deserve. John mentions that Kate deserted Basic Black for the competition – he has a favour to ask of her. He wants to borrow one of her satellite trucks. Kate wants to know why. John is doing some work for the police. John has someone under surveillance but that’s all he can say about it. Kate is reluctant to lend him a truck so John says he’ll get one some other way. Kate agrees to borrow him one. John offers to pay but all Kate wants is the exclusive rights to the story. She leaves to attend her meetings. Marlena comments that this is the first she’s heard of this. They were supposed to work together. John says she did her part now it’s getting too dangerous so she’s out.
Marlena thinks John is bored with office work that is why he’s helping out the police. She wants to know what he is doing. John is reluctant to tell her. Marlena thinks it’s okay to be cagey with Kate but she is his wife. John gives in and sits next to her so he can tell her. Marlena declares she doesn’t want to know. She wants him to be careful – it’s been a long time since he’s done any police work. He reminds her that is exactly what he was doing when he went to New Jersey to find her. She just wants him to come home safely – to not take any unnecessary risks. If someone is targeting the Brady’s … John doesn’t want them to live their lives in fear. Marlena reminds him that he doesn’t just have her that needs him but Belle and Claire do as well. John will always be there for his girls. Marlena reminds him she owes him a wedding – she can’t marry a dead man.
Chez Rouge: Shawn meets with EJ and asks for a job. He sings his own praises. EJ doesn’t need to hear that Shawn is a good mechanic. He knows that but he doesn’t need any. He does have another job that is more important than his cars. This job would require the utmost discretion. Shawn assures him he can be discreet – LMAO … Willow, anyone??? He wants to know what the job is. EJ tells him that he won’t be able to tell anyone about what he is doing not even his father. Shawn wants to know why EJ is mentioning his father. EJ is using Bo as an example. He needs to know that he can trust Shawn. No one can know about this. He’s putting together a deal that he doesn’t want anyone getting wind of, not Victor, not John, not even Kate. Shawn swears he can be trusted – hmm, EJ you might want to check with Mimi on that. EJ has highly sensitive documents that he needs to exchange with his silent partner. Shawn has two questions. The first is who is EJ’s silent partner. EJ tells him it’s Patrick Lockhart, does Shawn have a problem with that. Shawn doesn’t hate Patrick like his Dad does. He was married to Patrick’s sister but that’s over. He doesn’t have a problem with it. The second is how much. Its $500 per delivery but Shawn has to be on call and available 24/7. Shawn is all his. EJ instructs Shawn on what to say if anyone asks him what he is doing for him. EJ hired him as a consultant to get his garages in tip top shape. Like anyone with a half a brain is going to believe that - LOL. EJ gives him his first envelope and payment and tells him to take it to Patrick. He tells Shawn not to phone him when the delivery is made.
Hospital: Caroline states that something went wrong as Dr. Myers and company work on Kayla. The blinds are closed so the family can’t watch. Stephanie asks her Uncle Bo for assurance that her mother will live. Bo is sure the doctors will do everything they can. Steve hangs on to his IV stand and watches as the doctor works to save Kayla’s life. Dr. Myers’ comes out and tells the family that Kayla suffered an allergic reaction to the antidote and suffered a life threatening cardiac arrhythmia. They need to find another antidote that Kayla can tolerate – they are checking with everyone world wide. He’s afraid Kayla’s condition will continue to deteriorate. They have a small window of 48 hours to find another antidote. The blinds to the window are opened. Bo tells his parents to go back to the pub and get some rest. They don’t want to go but Bo convinces them to do so. Stephanie cries out that an antidote has to be found. Frankie offers to take her back to her room to get some rest. Steve watches and is given some medication. Frankie asks Billie to drive his parent’s home. Billie tells Steve what she is doing and promises to be right back. Bo asks Hope if she is alright. She isn’t – she wishes she knew what was going through Steve’s head. Bo thinks he is probably scared like the rest of them. Hope comments that the woman he used to love is close to death and it’s like he doesn’t even care – he’s distant. Bo makes excuses – he could be numb - Steve almost died himself. Hope wonders why Steve can’t see that Kayla needs a reason to hang on. A little bit of attention from him could make a world of difference if he would just make the effort. Hope asks Bo to talk to him.
Bo thinks it would be better if Hope talks to him because he and Steve have had complications talking about Kayla before. Steve always listens to Hope. Hope asks Steve if she can talk to him. He comes to the window. Hope asks him how he is. Steve answers that he’s a lot better than Kayla. He should be the one still unconscious – everyone would be happier. Hope tells him that they are both family – they’re pulling for both of them. Steve can feel them all looking at him expecting him to do something to make Kayla better. He wishes he could. He doesn’t know what to do. He breaks down – he’s got Stephanie staring at him with those sad eyes wishing he would fall back in love with her mother. He’d do that for her if he could. Steve knows that Hope is Kayla’s friend so this isn’t what she wants to here. Hope assures him that she is his friend too and she respects his feelings. But nobody knows how happy Kayla made him like she does – nobody. Steve says that maybe he’ll remember someday but he may not have someday. He could still die – he wants her to do a favour for him. He knows Billie isn’t her favourite person but she’s been a good friend to him. He wants Hope to go and pick her up a necklace for Billie from him.
Hope says you’re asking me to go shopping for the woman who slept with my husband. He knows – he’d do it but he’s stuck in this fish bowl. Hope agrees. The nurse runs to Kayla. Steve wants to know what is going on. She tells him what is wrong with Kayla and pages Dr. Myers. Steve tells Kayla to hang in – a lot of people need her. Bo runs into Hope. She tells him that she can’t force Steve to feel something he doesn’t. Shawn joins them. They update him on Kayla’s condition. He asks how Stephanie is taking it. Bo suggests that Shawn go visit her but he wants to know how it went with Max first. Hope suggests that he can move back home until he gets back on his feet. Shawn wants to get his own place. Bo thinks that Claire’s upkeep will cost a lot – how much is Max paying him. Shawn isn’t going to work for Max. He got a job working for EJ Wells. Bo and Hope are surprised. Shawn doesn’t know why – EJ expressed a lot of interest in his engine. Bo asks if that is what EJ is interested in. Shawn isn’t sure. Hope thinks EJ is interested because Shawn is such a great mechanic. She’s so proud of him – she congratulates him. Hope leaves to run her errand. Bo wants to know what Shawn will be doing for EJ. Shawn hedges and says he has a lot of cars. Bo doesn’t sound happy about it. Bo says that Max is family – wouldn’t he be more comfortable working for him.
Frankie brings Stephanie back. Steve sees her and goes to talk to her. He doesn’t think her mother would want to see her upset. Stephanie snaps and says how would you know – this is all your fault. Shawn tells Bo he already accepted the job with EJ and he’s not changing his mind. Bo says they don’t know much about the guy but he does associate with disreputable people. Shawn wants to know who. Bo can’t tell him – he has to trust him on this. Shawn just got a good job with fantastic pay – he won’t walk away from it unless Bo gives him a good reason. Unless there’s something Bo isn’t telling him. Shawn wants to know if EJ is doing something illegal. Bo has a hunch that EJ is into something illegal. Shawn says a hunch isn’t good enough. Bo says a hunch is enough to investigate EJ. Shawn asks if Bo is investigating EJ. Bo assures him that Abe authorized it. Shawn doesn’t care – he’s not going to turn down the job because Bo is suspicious. Shawn starts whining and pouting and makes it all about him (boy – doesn’t he sound like a female character we all know???) – Bo is just trying to bring him down. Why can’t he be happy for him like Mom is. He needs this job to help Belle with Claire. So without solid evidence that EJ is doing something illegal he’s going to work for him. Bo warns him to watch his back.
Steve asks Stephanie if she really believes this is his fault. Frankie tells Stephanie that she told him that she wouldn’t allow herself to get upset. She assures Frankie that it’s okay. Stephanie tells Steve that he is so wrapped up in himself about how he doesn’t remember. She feels sorry for him – she really does. Steve doesn’t want her pity. Stephanie asks him if he ever once put himself in Kayla’s shoes. She basically had no life when he disappeared. Even when she thought he was dead she couldn’t let go of her love for him. Now he’s here – does he have any idea how happy she was – it was like she came back to life herself. Now she’s lying there dying and he doesn’t even care. Steve says that isn’t true. Stephanie wonders why her mom ever loved him. Steve doesn’t know why she loved him but he does care – he cares a lot. Stephanie thinks if that were true he’d be trying to help her instead of sitting there staring into space. He explains that the doctors don’t know how to help her – he doesn’t know what he could do. Stephanie yells – something – anything. Maybe she can hear him. Talk to her – give her a reason to wake up. If anyone could get through to her, it’s him. Stephanie begs to please try – to give her a reason to live.
EJ’s apt: Kate knocks on the door. When he answers she shoves all the bills for Stephanie’s accident plus her hospital stay into his hands. She’s already paid for them out of her own pocket – EJ has to pay half because the race car thing was his idea. He’ll write her out a cheque to cover all the expenses but there is something she can do for him. Kate asks him what the favour is. EJ tells her the police have been asking some questions about him. He’s pretty sure Bo was asking Sami questions about him. He needs Kate help in getting some information. Kate wants to know what he has done. He asserts that apart from a few speeding tickets he’s never broken a law in his life. He doesn’t know why the police have zeroed in on him and not being a U.S. citizen he doesn’t know what his rights are. Kate figures out that he wants her to make some inquiries for him. He knows that she knows the police commander. Kate says that he is her ex-husband. She’s not comfortable with this. He knows it’s a lot to ask but they’re business partners. His best interests are her best interests. She agrees to see what she can find out but he’s going to have to do something for her. He reminds her that he already offered to pay all of Stephanie’s bills. Kate doesn’t want that – she wants him. They start kissing and undressing each other. They hit the couch…
Brady Pub – Part 2: Marlena asks Caroline and Shawn how Kayla is doing. They tell her that her condition is worsening. Marlena asks if she can do anything. Shawn asks for her prayers. Marlena mentions to Billie that this is a horrible situation. Billie agrees that it is for Kayla, her family and Steve. Marlena comments that Steve is Kayla’s family. Billie spouts that Steve is getting better but he’s stuck in that room and all of Kayla’s family stares at him with such disappointment on their faces. Marlena says that doesn’t sound like the Brady’s. Billie speaks for Steve – that’s how he feels. Marlena knows that the Brady’s love Steve. They are thrilled he is recovering. Billie responds that they aren’t thrilled that Kayla is still sick. Kayla needs Steve and Steve is thinking of her (Billie). Marlena had no idea that things had gotten so serious between them. Billie says they haven’t yet but with him coming so close to death it changed things for both of them. Billie doesn’t want to get involved with another Brady man – Bo is a Brady and Steve is married to one. She feels bad that she hurt Hope and she doesn’t want to hurt Kayla especially after she told her that she would step aside if Steve got his memory back.
Steve hasn’t gotten his memory back but she doesn’t want to stand in the way of Kayla’s recovery. Steve has become very important to her. Marlena must think she’s a horrible person. Marlena doesn’t – she thinks Billie has the right to go after whatever makes her happy. She can’t be faulted for falling in love with Steve. Billie asks – even if he’s Kayla’s husband – even if Stephanie wants her parents back together. Marlena dismisses them – they haven’t been a family for so long and there’s no indication that Steve has romantic feelings for Kayla. Marlena has learned from experience what happens when a stranger tries to interfere with someone’s love life. Billie knows she is talking about Carrie. (Huh – so now Sami is a stranger – pathetic!). She’s sorry that Lucas got hurt but Carrie and Austin have always belonged together. She goes on to say that as a psychiatrist she can tell Billie that the chance of Steve regaining his memory is incredibly slim. She goes on to talk about John not regaining his memory and the fact is she loves him with all her heart even though he may have a wife and a family he doesn’t remember. No one can tell her that is wrong. Billie thinks her case is different because Steve has Kayla. Marlena states that Kayla is a very strong woman and she has lived most of her life without him. If she recovers she will accept whatever Steve feels. Billie shouldn’t feel bad about what other people think. She has to let go of the past in order to have a future.
Satellite truck: John dismisses the young man that help him set everything up. The guy hopes John gets whatever it is he’s looking for. John settles back in his chair in front of a monitor. John uses the keyboard to see what there is on Camera 2. He gets an eyeful of Kate and EJ on the couch. He wonders what Kate has gotten herself into this time.

If Shawn can’t deal with Mimi being there Max just doesn’t have the time to deal with Shawn’s anger management issues. Mimi can do most of the work from home. She’ll make a point out of staying out of his way – she’ll make it work. Max wonders why she cares. Is this her way of getting back into his life. Mimi admits that she still loves Shawn but she’s not delusional. They will never get back together. She feels responsible for practically everything he is going through now. EJ mentions that he has already paid him but Patrick should give him another $500 to ensure his loyalty. Patrick wants to know if Bo put Shawn up to this. Shawn says his Dad has nothing to do with it. The note is from EJ. Patrick asks him why he’s delivering notes for EJ. Shawn explains that he needed a job fast and EJ made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. Patrick says he owes him some money than. Shawn says as much as he needs it EJ already paid him. Patrick knows. He hands him another $500 (he gets this from a locked box inside a drawer) – it’s a bonus to keep him motivated. Everything is wrong and she needs to do something about it. Belle explains about Shawn’s visit and John’s suggestion to draw up a list of conditions like get a job, contribute to her support and find a place to live. She thought about it. How can she ask him to do that when she doesn’t have a job and she’s living with parents. She wants Claire to have a wonderful childhood – she needs to get her life together. She’s a single, unemployed mother and it scares her to death.
Brady Pub – Part 1: Bo joins Hope. He asks how the baby is. The baby is fine but Hope is really worried about Steve and Kayla. They need to find an antidote for Kayla. Bo wants to know how her talk with Steve went. Hope tried to convince Steve to talk to Kayla, to give her a reason to live. Not only did she not succeed but she found herself agreeing to buy Billie a necklace from Steve. Apparently almost dying caused him to have an epiphany about his feelings for Billie. Bo’s cell rings. It’s John. There’s been a development in the case. He needs Bo to join him in the surveillance van parked in front of EJ’s apartment. Bo tells Hope he has to leave. Hope has to get back to the hospital.
Hospital: Steve is sitting next to Kayla’s bed. He doesn’t want her to die but he doesn’t know what to do. A nurse wheels Stephanie to the window. Stephanie apologises to Steve for losing it earlier. She’s scared. Mom can’t die, he has to do something. Steve declares that he isn’t a faith healer, he can’t lay a hand on her and make her better. Stephanie believes that the mind controls the body in many ways. Touch her – she’ll feel him. Talk to her. Mom has never gotten over him and he’s been pushing her away ever since he returned maybe she thinks she has nothing to live for. He is Kayla’s only hope and Stephanie says her only hope as well. Her mother always told her that she took after her Dad – she never gave up. Stephanie asks Steve to not give up on Kayla now. She asks the nurse to take her back to her room.
Victor thanks Lucas for coming to see him at the hospital. He has another meeting he has to get to – one that Carrie’s replacement should be attending. He asks Lucas if he’s found a replacement as yet. Lucas hasn’t. He apologises – he’ll get right on it. Victor hands him an envelope and asks him to deliver it to Belle immediately. It’s from Philip. Victor suggests that Lucas tell Belle that Philip sent it to him because Belle won’t open it if she knew it came from Victor. Hope goes to see Steve. She got the necklace for Billie like he asked. Steve has another favour to ask of her. Hope isn’t too eager about that until Steve mentions that it’s for Kayla. Nothing they do is helping Kayla and Stephanie thinks that Kayla has lost the will to live because the only guy she has to come back to is him. This guy that doesn’t remember their life together. Hope says sometimes memories are all we have. Steve wants to sit with her and talk about the life they had and then maybe she’ll want to come back because of that. He needs Hope’s help. Hope says she’ll do anything. Steve asks if she can get together with Bo and write down any memories they have of his and Kayla’s life together – stuff they remember, stuff that they may have told them. Hope says absolutely. Steve thanks her. Hope says it’s her pleasure. Maybe this will help Steve to remember something.
Steve tells Kayla to hang in. Her family needs her. Their daughter Stephanie needs her. He’s going to do everything he can to get her better. Max runs into Shawn. They talk about Steve and Kayla. Max wants to get past all the hard feelings between them. If he can handle hanging around Mimi every now and then he’d like to offer him his job back. Shawn informs him he has another job. Max wants to know about it because he was considering increasing Shawn’s salary if he came back. Mr. Discreet pulls out his wad of bills and flashes it under Max’s nose and tells him he’s working for EJ. Max thinks that’s a lot of money for working on cars. Shawn’s gotta go. He runs into Victor. Victor wants to talk. Shawn states they have nothing to talk about. Victor heard about the boating accident. With everything going on with Kayla he probably hasn’t had a chance to look for another place. He would like to help out. Shawn informs him that he doesn’t need his money, his sympathy or anything else. He is no longer his grandfather. He means absolutely nothing to him. Stephanie returns to talk to Steve. Steve tells her she was right – he hasn’t been doing anything to help Kayla but now he’s going to do everything he can to save her. Stephanie can count on him.
Satellite truck/ EJ’s apt: John watches as the action heats up. Sami exits her apartment and hesitates but goes to EJ’s door as EJ is removing Kate’s bra. Sami knocks on the door and tells EJ to answer – she knows he is there. Kate heads to the bedroom. EJ puts his shirt on and answers. Sami wants to know what the cops want with him. John watches in horror wondering WTH Sami is doing. Bo joins John. John informs him that he set up a camera inside EJ’s apartment and Bo is not going to believe what he has seen. Look who just showed up. They watch as Sami informs EJ that her Uncle Bo has been asking about him. Bo mutters – don’t do it. EJ wants to know what Bo was asking. Bo mutters – shut your mouth Sami. Sami tells EJ that Bo wanted to know about his fingerprints on the envelope she gave him to test. She told Bo that she didn’t think EJ had done anything wrong but that’s not the point. Bo obviously has it in for him – what has EJ gotten himself into. EJ plays the innocent. He wants to know why Sami cares she chose Lucas over him. Sami says she chose her son – that’s a big difference. EJ doesn’t see it that way. He tries to usher her out of the apartment. Sami sees the bra stuffed behind a cushion on the couch. Sami asks who is she – the woman in your bedroom.
Bo just shakes his head. John has a pretty good idea how the rest of this is going to play out. Bo can’t believe that Sami just told Wells about their conversation – yeah he can. He asks John what else he found out. John tells Bo that Kate is having a personal as well as a professional relationship with EJ. He doesn’t like it – he’s worried about her safety. If EJ is bad news they should tell her about it. Bo doesn’t think so. Kate is a smart woman – she can take care of herself. Bo says look what Sami just did when he tried to warn her about EJ. John insists that Kate isn’t Sami – she’ll be discreet if he asks her to. She needs to know what is going on. Until they find out who EJ Wells is and what he wants nobody around here is safe.
Sami wants to know who he is sleeping with. EJ declares he doesn’t know what she is talking about and furthermore it’s none of her business. Sami sits on the couch. She doesn’t think EJ ever cared for her because if he did he wouldn’t be sleeping with someone else so soon. EJ again denies it. Sami knows the signs – she lists them all. Sami figures out the woman is still there – in his bedroom. She gets up – EJ ushers her to the door and closes it behind her. Kate comes out of the bedroom. She wishes Lucas would give Sami the same treatment. She tells EJ the moment has passed. She has things to do. She looks for her bra. In the hallway Sami pulls out the bra from under her jacket. She wonders who monograms their bras – Kate.
John pulls Kate into the surveillance van. She wants to know who he is doing surveillance on. He tells her. Kate realises he was watching everything. John smirks and says he turned off the monitor Mrs Robertson – uh, shouldn’t that be Mrs. Robinson??? Kate wants to know if it’s going to be good enough for the internet. She wants to know why is he looking into EJ Wells. John thinks there is a connection between EJ and the gloved hand. He doesn’t have hard evidence – he thinks the guy is dangerous and suggests that Kate keep her distance. Kate thinks maybe she should help. She’ll be in a position to watch his every move working with him. John doesn’t want her to do that – he doesn’t want EJ to get suspicious. Kate agrees to keep her distance. John thanks her. Kate gets out of the van and calls EJ to warn him that John Black is asking questions about him. Aw so Kate is as discreet as Shawn … LOL!
Black Penthouse – Part 2: Marlena admires Belle for wanting to stand on her own two feet. Being scared is a normal reaction. She doesn’t want her to put herself under too much pressure. She’s grieving the loss of her marriage (huh – more like dancing in the aisles), the loss of her baby and she’s still recovering. She can stay with them as long as she likes. Belle brings up her non-existent post-partum depression. Philip took care of her and Claire. He was the parent she could depend on. She didn’t have a single maternal instinct until recently – translation: When she found out Shawn was Claire’s father. She wasn’t ready to have a baby. She quit her job and dropped out of school. Now she doesn’t want to be that spoiled princess that goes to Daddy for a job. She never thought she would put Claire in daycare. Marlena offers … Belle says thanks but no thanks. The doorbell rings. It’s Lucas. He was asked to deliver something to her from Philip.
Belle suggests Marlena go up and check on Claire. Belle opens the envelope. She asks Lucas where he got this. Lucas says Philip sent it to him because he didn’t know where Belle was living. He asks what it is. It’s signed divorce papers with a settlement check for $100,000. Lucas is sorry things didn’t work out her and his brother. She’s sorry that things didn’t work out with Carrie. Lucas remarks that both their marriages ended because of lies and now they’re both left to raise their children on their own. Sami is seeing this other guy – it’s a on again/off again type relationship. Belle wants to know if he still cares for Sami. He always will because she is the mother of his child but they will never have a romantic relationship again. If Belle has learned one thing it’s to never say never. Marlena comes down – Lucas has gone. Marlena is surprised to hear about the cheque – she didn’t think Philip had that kind of money. Belle sneers that he doesn’t – it came from Victor. He’s interfering in her life and she is not going to let him. LMAO – I’m sure Victor is quaking in his boots – like Belle’s empty threats are going to scare him.
Brady Pub – Part 2: Hope joins Bo and asks him how his meeting went. Weird – hers. Better than the last time. Bo wants to know how Kayla is. Hope informs him there is no change in her condition. She had a great talk with Steve. He’s determined to do whatever it takes to get through to Kayla. He wants them to make a list of memories that he and Kayla shared. Bo wants to know what happened to Steve’s feelings for Billie. Hope doesn’t know and care – Steve barely glanced at the necklace. She wants this to work for Kayla and maybe this will help Steve remember their past. Bo will do anything to help Kayla. Hope declares that they can’t lose anyone else they love. Is he ready to go down memory lane. They should start at the beginning. Bo says when Victor hired Patch to go to Cincinnati and scare the hell out of Kayla. Hope thinks maybe they should skip to the part where they started falling in love. Bo has one word – Stockholm. Hope mentions that it was an awful time for them. They found out Victor was his father and she miscarried. Steve was there for her and Bo wasn’t. Bo admits that he wasn’t there for her. Hope goes on to say that Steve was the one that encouraged her not to give up on their marriage. He was thrilled when he found out she was pregnant with Shawn Douglas. Everything seemed so perfect back then even though it wasn’t. Bo mentions that Marlena had been captured by Orpheus. Hope adds that Steve was on the run after being accused of killing Britta. Bo comments that while they were helping their friends they found their way back to each other and Hope still had time to play matchmaker. There’s a flashback to a scene where Steve is lying unconscious (or sleeping) in bed and Hope and Kayla are talking. Hope says that Kayla never gave up on Steve – thank God he isn’t giving up on her now.
Hope looks down at her notepad – they have so much stuff here – it’s great. Bo says and then you and I left town with Shawn D and by the time we came back Steve and Kay were married and had a kid. A lot had changed. Hope states that some things will never be the same. Flashback to a conversation between Bo and Steve. Bo says that he and Steve didn’t protect their families the way they wanted to. Hope thinks it wasn’t just his job – they both made mistakes. Bo takes her hand – interesting how they keep looking for Steve and Kayla’s memories but keep running into their own. Hope says happy and sad. Bo tells her he misses her. Outside the pub Sami runs into Lucas. Lucas thought Bo would still be fingerprinting her. Sami informs him that Bo wanted to talk to her about EJ. Lucas wants to know if they kissed and made up yet. Sami tells him that EJ is sleeping with someone else – she pulls out the bra – your mother.
Patrick’s house – Part 2: Patrick places the key to his cash box into a drawer. He doesn’t see Mimi there until she says hi. He didn’t expect to see her home from work so soon. She just came home to get something to eat. She ran into Shawn outside. She saw him hand Shawn a whole wad of cash. Where did he get that kind of money – he’s unemployed. Patrick claims he owns stock – he made good investments – he made money. Mimi asks enough to charter an airplane. Patrick says yes – how did she know about it. Mimi is surprised it’s true. She reminds him of the time he told her to tell Shawn the truth – she hopes he is taking his own advice. Patrick states that people lie when they have something to hide – he doesn’t so Mimi doesn’t need to worry. He leaves. Mimi looks at the cash box.
Max’s Garage – Part 2: Max walks into his office. Mimi informs him his books are mess. He’s missing half the inventory receipts. They have to call all their distributors and get copies of them. She notices that Max is down. She asks about Kayla. He tells her that if they don’t find an antidote she can tolerate the doctors are only giving her 48 hours. Mimi hugs him – she can’t imagine what he is going through. He tells her he talked to Shawn. He offered him his job back but apparently he already has a job with EJ Wells. Mimi feels that Shawn took a job with the competition figuring it would upset Max and it obviously has. Max states that’s not it. Shawn was flashing this big wad of money – he looked like a drug dealer. That’s way more money than he should have made in one day. He really hopes Shawn knows what he is doing.
Preview: Bonnie to Mimi – I’m not going to question my son like he’s some kind of criminal. Mimi – You just don’t want to confront him because you’re afraid to know the truth. Billie to Hope – Steve got me a necklace? Hope – Yeah. Billie – I’m thrilled that he thought of me. Steve to Kayla – There’s a lot more kisses where those came from. All you have to do is wake up. Shawn to Bo – With the amount of money I’m going to be making I can take care of all my responsibilities. Bo – How much is Wells paying you to work on cars?

Pat’s Spoilers
Patrick’s house – Part 1: Mimi comes home with a stack of ledgers and explains to Bonnie that Max’s books are a mess. She notices Bonnie has a new dress. Bonnie may not be able to afford to pay for the repairs on Mimi’s car but she can afford to buy one dress at a factory discount sale. She asks for Mimi’s opinion. Mimi remembers talking to Caroline about telling the truth so she does exactly that. She tells Bonnie everything that is wrong with the dress … LOL! Bonnie looks in the mirror and agrees the dress is ugly but she hasn’t had anything new in a long time. Mimi doesn’t understand where all of Bonnie’s money is going. Business is down at Alice’s and every cent she has left over after paying the bills is put into an investment for the future. Mimi comments that the both of them are working their tails off and are broke and Patrick does nothing and he’s loaded. Bonnie asks since when?
Bonnie wants to know what makes Mimi think Patrick has money. Mimi saw it – she gets the key and opens the cash box. Bonnie says that’s a whole lot of lettuce. Mimi wonders where he got it. Bo is still watching him – what if Patrick is in trouble. Bonnie thinks if she is so concerned she should ask him. Mimi did – he said some investments paid off. She knows her brother and he was lying. Bonnie should ask him because she has no scruples and he won’t have to lie to her. Bonnie won’t question her son like he’s a common criminal. Mimi thinks she won’t confront him because she’s afraid to know the truth. Mimi heads off to her second job at the restuarant – unlike Patrick she has to work for a living. Lauren calls Bonnie – there’s a problem. Bonnie tells Lauren to stay put – she’s on her way. Bonnie grabs Patrick’s cash and stuffs it in her purse.
Willow’s Room: Mr. Discreet fans his cash on Willow’s bed bragging that he did okay for one hour. All he has to do is deliver stuff between EJ Wells and Patrick Lockhart. Willow asks what he is delivering. At $500 a pop he can afford not to know. EJ is paying him for his time – he’s a celebrity he can’t be a criminal. Now he can prove to everyone including Belle that he is worthy of being Claire’s father. The first thing he’s going to do is find an apartment that has space for a nursery and it’s going to be in a good part of town. Willow wants to know if there will be room for her in that apartment. He hasn’t thought about them moving in together. Willow plays all her sympathy cards … and then the ‘you can’t have an ex-hooker living with you’ card. She plays Shawn so easily it’s laughable. He agrees that she can move in with him – she tackles him to the bed.
Hospital: Steve is resting when he hears Billie call his name. He sticks the necklace in his shirt pocket. Billie tells him she will be there until he gets better. Steve can get out of there as soon as they determine he’s not a walking chemical spill. Billie can’t wait until she can touch him again. She can see he’s down and asks what is wrong. He looks at Kayla. He’s worried about Stephanie. She acts all tough on the outside but underneath that she’s just a scared little girl looking to her daddy to make it all better. He hasn’t been able to help her or her mother. Billie makes excuses for him – what can he do from inside a quarantine unit. Steve suggests that she go home and rest – he’s feeling tired himself. Billie tells a nurse that she’s going to get something to eat and then she’ll be back. Steve takes Kayla’s hand.
Steve is going through the notebook – he thanks Hope. Hope says that they enjoyed reliving the memories and the adventures. She’ll keep writing things down – maybe something will jog his memory. Just like with Stephanie – it might just take one thing, the right thing – the right moment. Steve won’t forget the pain in her eyes when he told Kayla he didn’t remember her even though he remembered Stephanie. He doesn’t know if he’ll ever remember her but he does know that he can’t walk out on the mother of his child if there is a chance that there is something he can do to save her. Hope runs into Billie as she is returning. Hope wonders if Billie liked the necklace. Billie doesn’t know what she’s talking about – Steve never gave her a necklace. Hope is sorry she ruined the surprise. Billie says she didn’t – she won’t let on she knew about it – she’s thrilled that Steve thought of her.
Billie presses the Talk button and overhears Steve calling Kayla Sweetness. He tells Kayla that he got his memory back. He remembers everything – how they met, how they fell in love, how she saved his life in more ways than one. Stephanie was right. She said when he remembered her he would remember how much he needs her and he does. She has to get well and come back to him. He’s waiting. Billie looks crushed. Steve flips through the notepad constantly talking to Kayla. Now that he has his memory back he realises how difficult it must have been for her. But that will all change now. He starts talking about the memories. First the pool cue she gave him. That was the first time anyone gave him something for no reason at all. It showed him that she accepted him for who he really was. The best was when they played for 10 kisses. Everyone cheered when she lost and he happened to lose count when he was collecting those kisses. She said it was the best game she had ever lost and he said it was the best game he had ever won. There’s a lot more kisses where those came from. All she has to do is wake up. Steve continues reading – he talks about having to go all the way to Australia to rescue Stephanie from Sheila. He reminds her that nothing would keep her from her family. He asks her not to give up on them now – not when they have so much to look forward to. He thinks of the song she liked so much. He hums and sings snippets of The Rose. She opens her eyes and Steve says her name.
Brady Pub – Part 1: Bo leans in to kiss Hope but she stops him. She admits they had great times together the four of them. It seems like yesterday but so much has changed and happened. It hurts to look back. Bo takes her hands. He doesn’t think it’s too late for them – they can get back what they once had. Patrick shows up. Bo scowls. Hope asks Bo to not make a scene. No matter what Patrick is going to be a part of her life – she’s having his baby. She does need to see him. Bo gets up and goes to the bar. Patrick complains that she hasn’t been returning his calls. Hope has been busy going back and forth to the hospital. She needs to go back and see Steve. Patrick wants to take her – it will give them a chance to talk. Hope is going to tell Bo but Bo has disappeared.
Bo is at the bar drinking. Shawn joins him. He has good news. EJ gave him a bonus so he can start paying for the Fancy Face. He waves money in front of Bo. Bo is proud of him for being responsible but he should take care of his daughter. Shawn brags that with all the money he’s going to make he can take care of all his responsibilities. Bo wants to know how much EJ is paying him to work on cars – it seems like a lot. Shawn lies and claims that EJ knows what a good mechanic he is – this is an incentive. Bo will make him a deal. If he finds out about this character he’ll let him know. If Shawn sees anything suspicious – he can let him know. Shawn mutters whatever. Bo returns the money to Shawn – the insurance covered the cost of the Fancy Face. He passes an envelope from Victor to Shawn. Shawn doesn’t want it. Bo wants him to give him a break – he’s his grandfather. Shawn takes the envelope and shoves it in his pocket. He leaves.
Chez Rouge: Willow makes a smart remark when Mimi ‘finally’ shows up. Mimi has a second job. Willow knows –talk about desperate. Mimi will do anything to get back with Shawn but Shawn got another job. Mimi informs her that she needed the money and Max had an opening. Speaking of desperate at least she never had to resort to selling her body. Willow insults Mimi that if she would have had to she would have starved. Mimi sarcastically says ‘and it’s worked on for you.’ Willow is moving up in the world – she’s moving into an apartment with Mimi’s soon to be ex-husband. Mimi accuses Willow of lying – Shawn wouldn’t get an apartment with her. Willow claims it’s true – they’re going to get a nice place – one where Claire can come and stay with them on weekends. Mimi highly doubts that Belle will want her child to spend time with someone as morally lacking as Willow. Willow throws back the fact that Mimi lied to her husband keeping his own child from him – at least she never hurt anyone she cared for.
Mimi warns Willow that Shawn’s heart belongs to one woman – Belle Black. Knowing that was the reason she didn’t tell Shawn the truth – she isn’t making any excuses. Whatever power Willow has over Shawn won’t last once Claire is back in his life because then he will be back in Belle’s life too and it will only be a matter of time before they back together. Willow smugly says we’ll see about that. Mimi thinks that while Shawn might be enjoying the nightly acrobatics with Willow he’s too smart (uh … really?) to let Willow come between him and his daughter. And he’s too in love with Belle to give a damn in the end what happens to her. Eventually he’ll toss her out on the curb just like everybody else has. Mimi walks away.
Shawn arrives. Mimi tells him that her and Willow were just talking about him. Willow is so excited that they’re moving in together. She’s sure Belle will be thrilled too. Shawn tells Mimi to stay out of it – nothing is definite yet. Willow joins them. Shawn offers her a ride home – Willow kisses him. Mimi walks away. Willow spies the envelope from Victor and urges Shawn to open it. It’s a check for $10,000. Willow’s eyes light up. Mimi listens as Willow gushes that this means they can get a better place to live – even a house. Shawn states that he’s not keeping the money. His grandfather thinks he can buy anyone off – make the problem go away. Not this time. No check is going to make up for the fact that his grandfather knew that Claire was his practically from day one (now there’s an exaggeration if I ever heard one). Nothing in the world will make that go away.
Brady Pub – Part 2: Bonnie and Lauren meet up outside the pub and sit a bench. Bonnie gushes that Lauren is doing a wonderful thing. Lauren states she is doing it for the money. Bonnie appreciates that – there’s nothing like cold hard cash. Lauren is happy Bonnie feels that way because she needs more – a lot more. Due to unforeseen complications she has been forced to quit her job. Bonnie wants to know what complications. Her ankles swell – she can’t stand all day at work so she expects Bonnie to support her in a style she has grown accustomed to for the rest of the pregnancy. Bonnie tells Lauren to get real – she’s pregnant – she’s going to have swollen everything. Why don’t they talk to her lawyer and work out some kind of arrangement. The only arrangement Lauren is interested in is the one they have. Bonnie can cough up the money or she can say goodbye to her grandchild. Bonnie gives her most of the wad of cash she took from Patrick and asks if this will do. Lauren claims it’s a start.
Inside his room above the Pub Bo is lying on his bed – the room is dark. There’s a knock on the door. He gets up and has a drink out of the bottle he has in the room before answering. He puts the light on. It’s Billie. The one thing she was afraid of has happened – Steve remembered. He told Kayla he loved her and needed her. Bo comments that it worked then. Steve asked him and Hope to tell him some things that might trigger his memory – sorry. Billie says no – you warned me that this could happen. They hug. Billie knew this was coming – she just didn’t expect it to come so soon. They were getting so close. Bo says if it’s any consolation he got blown off too. He and Hope were talking about those memories. Patrick walks in – she’s probably there now. Billie thought they could work this out. Bo thought so too – but he’s been kidding himself. Billie thinks because this was all her fault – he should hate her. Bo doesn’t – they start kissing. She starts removing his jacket. They end up on the bed – kissing passionately.
Patrick’s house – Part 2: Patrick brings Hope a roast beef sandwich. He wants to take care of her – she hasn’t been doing the best job of it lately. Hope is doing the best she can in a family crisis. He knows she is but they are not her family any more and they have a baby to think about. Hope states that she thinks about the baby every minute and the Brady’s will always be her family. Patrick apologises – he didn’t mean to imply she shouldn’t care about them or Bo. He realises that he interrupted them at the Pub. Hope says they were just reminiscing and she got sentimental. Patrick asks if they are still going away together. Hope says yes she will go to Chicago with him. He’s excited – when can they go. Hope asks if he needs to know right now. He does – they deserve this chance to be alone. Hope says they will go as soon as possible but she doesn’t want Bo to know. Patrick doesn’t know why she cares if Bo finds out. She said herself that he has to learn to deal with the fact that the two of them are having a baby together. Hope agrees but Bo is dealing with so much right now – she doesn’t want to upset him. Patrick has to promise that this trip stays between just the two of them. Patrick agrees – he wants to know how soon they can go. Hope gets upset – she won’t go anywhere until she knows that Kayla is going to be alright. Patrick apologises – he just got excited. He’ll make all the arrangements. He’s got plenty of cash set aside – he notices the drawer is open and discovers that all his cash is gone.
Preview: Nick to Abby and Maggie – Dune, get ready for the ‘Fallonater’. He grabs Abby – Come on, let’s get jiggy with it. Kayla to Steve – I can’t get through this without you. Patrick to Hope – I want you to trust that I will be there for you and the baby no matter what. Bo to Billie (they’re lying on the bed) – We’ve kind of come full circle. We’ve become friends again after all these years. Chelsea takes a picture of them with her cell phone.

Pat’s Spoilers
Brady Pub – Part 1: Bo and Billie are hot and heavy. She doesn’t want to be alone – neither does he. His shirts go flying – her sweater is next. Billie says stop – she has something to say. Downstairs Chelsea shows up. She’s looking for her dad. Caroline tells her that he’s upstairs resting. He hasn’t gotten much sleep – they’re all worried about Kayla. Chelsea agrees that it’s a bitch – Aunt Kayla being sick. She needs spending money. Caroline gives her the money from the tip jar. That’s not enough for Chelsea – this is the 21st century. Caroline suggests that if she needs more money than she should get a job. Caroline warns her not to disturb Bo as she goes to look after a customer. Chelsea swipes some money off a table and goes up the stairs. Bo and Billie both have something to say – they both say I can’t do this at the same time. Billie tells Bo as good as this would feel she has feelings for someone else. Bo knows how she feels about Steve. Billie knows how he feels about Hope – she won’t do anything to come between them. Bo has to get Hope away from Lockhart – everything he does pushes them closer together. Billie wonders why she can’t end up in a relationship where the guy cares as much about her as she does about him. Bo tells her it will happen – she deserves it. Bo talks about them being friends – they lean on each other – they just need to keep their pants on. He suggests they talk. They lie back on the bed. Billie thinks this is what they call closure. Bo says yes to a certain aspect of their life. They share a child and they’ve gone through a lot for her. They’ve come full circle – they’re friends again. Chelsea sees them on the bed and takes a picture of them using her cell phone.
Chelsea goes back down to the Pub. Caroline says you didn’t disturb your dad, did you. Chelsea says no – she has a lot of messages from Abby. She has to run. She thanks Caroline for the money. When she leaves Caroline notices the missing money. Bo asks Billie if she is going to tell Steve she heard him tell Kayla that he loves her. Billie doesn’t think this is the right time – he can still relapse. Bo asks her if she wants him to talk to Steve. She doesn’t – it would be strange. She and Steve promised each other that they would be up front with each other. She’ll wait until he is better before saying anything. Bo is proud of her – he hugs her. Billie doesn’t know how she’s going to let Steve go. Billie knows that Steve will choose Kayla. Bo tells her to suck it up because that is what is meant to be. Bo and Billie are now dressed. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Hope. She throws her arms around Bo and tells him that Kayla is awake. She sees Billie. She didn’t realise Bo was busy. Bo and Billie tell Hope this isn’t what she thinks. Hope doesn’t think it matters what she thinks – Kayla is what matters. The nurse said there was no medical explanation for why Kayla came to without medication. It was Steve talking to her and telling her that he loves her.
Maggie’s: Maggie has a surprise for Abby. While she was upstairs changing to go out her cousin Nick showed up. He’s going to be staying there for awhile. Maggie has to explain who Nick is, son of Jessica and Joshua Fallon – Jessica’s mother is Marie Horton. Abby comments that they have a strange family – an ex-nun that’s a Protestant and a grandmother. Abby wants to know if he’s cute. Maggie tells her how smart Nick is and that he starts his job at the Horton Foundation at the hospital tomorrow morning. Nick makes his entrance – nerd city … LOL! He pulls Abby into a big hug and thanks her for taking him out on the town. Abby doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Maggie knew she was going out to Dune – she can take Nick and introduce him to her friends. Abby doesn’t think this is a good night for her to take him out – she isn’t going to be staying out long. This suits Nick – he has to have precisely 8 and ¾ hrs sleep each night or he’s a mess all day. Nick wants to go someplace with dancing – he loves to boogie. He almost made it past the first round of auditions for America’s Got Talent. His samba-cha cha combo killed the casting assistant. Maggie suggests that Abby take him to Dune. Abby doesn’t think he’s dressed for Dune – besides he has to unpack. Nick is all unpacked and rushes up to change. Abby tells Maggie that Nick is a total geek – she can’t hang out with him – what would her friends think. Maggie says they’ll think you’re a good cousin. Maggie thinks Nick is different and some people find different charming. She mentions that Abby’s dad was a little different. Abby calls Nick a total dork – he’s totally clueless about clothes. Maggie doesn’t think Abby’s parents raised her to judge people by their clothes. She thinks Nick will be perfectly presentable when he comes down. He isn’t … LOL! He grabs Abby and pulls her out the door – it’s time to get jiggy with it.
Patrick’s house – Part 1: Patrick frantically searches for his money. Hope asks why he didn’t put it in a bank. This was money from off-shore investments – he didn’t want to file papers with the bank and pay the accountant fees. Hope thinks that if the money is missing they should call off the trip. He claims it was a lot of money – it wasn’t just for the trip. She suggests calling the police. Patrick is adamant they don’t – because of Bo half the police force is suspicious of him – he doesn’t want to answer a lot of questions. This money was supposed to be for the baby – he doesn’t want to be a deadbeat dad like his father. He wants to be there for her and the baby – he doesn’t want her to doubt that. She tells him she never has. He is adamant that he had a bankroll – it was right there. Hope starts laughing. He sounds like a high school boy trying to impress his girlfriend with a wad of cash. She goes on to say that money doesn’t determine what kind of parent he’s going to be. It’s about love, support and being there. Patrick says he loves the baby and he loves her. Bo always says that Patrick is not good enough for Hope – the money was to show that he could belong in her world.
Hope thinks one of the problems is that Patrick doesn’t have any patience. No matter how many times she has told him she needs time to figure things out – there he is. He doesn’t want her to think that he had lost interest. That thought never crossed Hope’s mind. Patrick promises not to push so hard as long as they can do this every now and then. Hope’s phone rings. She gets the news that Kayla is awake – alert and talking. She needs to call Bo. She can’t get hold of him on his phone – she has to go find him. She’ll call Patrick. She rushes out – Patrick starts throwing things around.
Hospital: Kayla asks Steve where she is. He brings her up to date. Kayla starts having trouble breathing. Steve watches as the doctor works on her – he doesn’t want her to die. He asks the doctor to save her. He tells Kayla he can’t lose her again – he loves her. Dr. Myers doesn’t know what Steve did but he’s given her the strength to carry on. All he did was talk to her. Dr. Myers tells him to keep doing it – they need to buy as much time as they can. Steve rips out a page from the notebook and tells the nurse to call the number on it – to get all the Brady’s here. Kayla panics when she sees the nurse and doctor in the suits. Dr. Myers reminds her that she is in quarantine. He asks her if she remembers where she is and why. She does. He explains that she had a bad allergic reaction to the antidote they gave her. They are searching for another one. Kayla wants to know how longs she has. Dr. Myers says she has 2 days, 3 at the most – they’re doing everything they can to save her. She wants to see Steve. She tells him she can’t get through this without him.
She tells Steve that she could hear his voice – it was so far away – she tried to follow it. She heard him say that he remembered her and that he loved her. That’s why she fought so hard to come back to him. Steve thinks it’s a miracle. Kayla thinks it’s a miracle he got his memory back - it doesn’t matter what happens now – just knowing that he remembers her, them … it’s all worth it. She asks if he is just saying what she wants to hear or does he really have his memory back. He lies and tells her his memory has returned. Kayla asks him to stay with her – if she doesn’t make it – she wants him to know that she will die happy knowing that he loves her. Bo, Caroline and Hope arrive at the hospital. Bo tells Kayla it’s nice to see her again. She’s happy to see them. She asks where Pops and Stephanie are. Hope says that Shawn went to get Stephanie and they called Max and Frankie – they’re on their way. Kayla feels like an animal in a zoo. Bo teases her – can’t believe that she left her brother an opening like that. Kayla laughs a bit and then has trouble breathing. Bo asks Steve how Kayla is doing. Her breathing is a little rough. Hope thinks she looks very weak. Steve tells her that they have her on sedatives. Bo thanks Steve. Knowing that the two of them have a future together is what is keeping her going.
Dune: Nick really likes the place – he’s totally digging it. If he wanted to hear music like this in the college town he was in he had to go to a frat party. He was a member of a fraternity – shows her his ring. Graduated top in his class. Abby asks if he danced with girls at these frat parties. He did sometimes – or he danced by himself. His form of therapy for his hyperactive mind. He takes a sip of his soda and it slops down the front of his shirt. They start playing a song he likes. He drags Abby on to the dance floor – everyone gawks. He does the splits and rips the seam in the back of his plants. Chelsea walks in and sees all of this. Chelsea wants to know what Abby is doing with that (Nick). Abby is stuck with him – he’s her cousin. Chelsea wants her to get un-stuck. Abby introduces Chelsea to Nick. Nick thinks they should hang out together sometimes. Chelsea doesn’t talk to geeks. She turns to Abby and shows her the photo of Bo and Billie – her plan is finally working. It means that when the right people see this – no more Hope, no more pirate – just her mom and dad and her. Abby thinks she should delete the photo. Chelsea wants to celebrate – she’s going to the bar. Nick says the first round is on him. What kind of soda do they want. Chelsea doesn’t drink soda – she’s going to have a cosmo.
Abby states they won’t serve her – she doesn’t look 21. Chelsea claims it doesn’t matter what age she looks as long as her ID says she is legal. Abby can tell its fake – besides it says she is 27 – the bartender won’t believe that. Chelsea thinks the bartender won’t care as long as his butt is covered. Abby warns her that a cop could come and arrest her. Chelsea thinks Abby is beginning to sound like her grandmother – life is for living. She heads to the bar. Nick tells Abby that some of his friends got busted using fake ID’s. The judges are pretty lenient when it’s your first arrest. Abby informs him that Chelsea has been arrested before – she’s on probation. If she’s caught drinking and using a fake ID she’ll end up in jail. The bartender asks Chelsea for her ID when she orders a cosmo. She can’t remember the last time she was carded – is he sure he just doesn’t want her name and address. Nick has never met a girl with a record before – it’s hot. The bartender hands the ID back to Chelsea and tells her to go away – take her phony ID and get lost. Chelsea tells him he’ll be sorry and gets up and bumps into a waiter – the tray of drinks goes flying. The bartender tells Chelsea she has to pay for the drinks. Nick tells Abby not to worry – he can handle this. Chelsea refuses to pay for the drinks – it was an accident. The bartender thinks she did it deliberately because he wouldn’t serve her. She owes him $88. She refuses to pay. He’s going to phone the cops. Nick tells him he can’t do that – Chelsea is on probation. Can’t they solve this another way – man to man?
Patrick’s house – Part 2: Bonnie arrives home laden with packages and sees the mess. Patrick has been tearing the house apart looking for his missing cash – it seems like he just found it. Bonnie plays innocent and asks him what money. Patrick says – the money you stole from me to go on your shopping spree. He wants it back. Bonnie reaches in her purse and pulls out a twenty – she forgot, she’s sorry. Patrick asks her what this is. Bonnie claims it’s the money she found in his pants pocket when she did the laundry. Patrick is talking about the tens of thousands of dollars that was in a lock box in the drawer. Bonnie is shocked that Patrick thinks she would take the money. Why would he leave that money lying around the house – and where did he get it. He hasn’t cashed a paycheck since he was kicked off the force and they don’t pay much. Patrick has his sources – it was a part of a business deal. Bonnie thinks someone broke in. Patrick knows it was an inside job – there was no forced entry. The only other person in the house is Mimi – Bonnie gives him a smug look. Patrick insists that Mimi didn’t take the money. Bonnie declares that Mimi’s husband just dumped her – she’s capable of anything.
Brady Pub – Part 2: Maggie tells Caroline that she sent Nick off with Abby to Dune. Caroline comments that Mickey must be happy to see Nick. Maggie says Mickey is working so hard that he barely has time to see her. Bo, Hope and Billie come down the stairs. Bo tells his mother that Kayla is awake. Hope, Bo and Caroline rush out the door – Billie looks like she is sulking … LOL! Maggie knows that look. She used to have it every time she saw a gin and tonic. Maggie states they are both recovering addicts. When you can’t have what you crave you find a substitute – Maggie thinks Billie’s substitute is Bo. Billie says that things are over between her and Bo – just like they’re over between her and Steve – not that they actually got anything started. Maggie asks her what happens. Billie tells her that Steve remembered Kayla. She always said if that ever happened she would step aside because they belong together just like Bo and Hope belong together. Maggie agrees. Billie wonders why she is always attracted to men who are attracted to other women. Maggie thinks it is because she knows they are unavailable and that makes them safe. That way she never has to make a commitment. Billie insists that isn’t what she wants. Maggie tells her it’s time for her to do the 4th step – make a searching and fearless moral inventory of herself. Instead of trying to force her will on a situation she’ll turn it over to a higher power and let God unveil his plan for her.
Preview: Lexie to Abe – Miss Samantha Jean Brady is over there stuffing her face. I’d like to heave this champagne bottle straight at her head. Shawn – Philip is the one that walked out on that little girl. Abby to Chelsea – If it wasn’t for Nick you would be cuffed and in jail right now.

Pat’s Spoilers
Penthouse Grill: Lucas, Will and Sami are talking about their day at the amusement park. Will loved the ride that plunged straight down 120 ft. Sami comments that her life flashed before her eyes. Will jokes – that must have been scarier than the ride. Will proposes a toast – to one day of being a happy family. Abe and Lexie are just finishing their dinner. Abe has something for her. It’s a thank you card from Caroline and Shawn for everything she did for Kayla and Steve. Lexie feels that she doesn’t deserve their gratitude. They forgave her after she kept Isaac away from Bo and Hope and she turned around and betrayed them again. She feels so guilty because of what she did to Austin and Carrie. They hear loud laughter coming from the table Sami is at. Lexie comments that not everyone is feeling guilty about lying to Carrie. Lexie hates to see Sami get away with everything. She’s paid the price by losing her job and most of her friends but Sami is sitting there stuffing her face. She’d like to heave the champagne bottle straight at her head. Sami thinks they deserve an award for setting a record – they went an entire day without fighting. Will wishes it could be like this all the time. Sami gives Will a kiss. He asks her what about Dad. Sami states that Lucas knows how special he is to her.
Sami tells them that it means a lot to her that they are both giving her a second chance. They’re having a lot of fun as a family. Will says oh oh trouble at 6 o’clock. Lucas tells Sami – right behind her and then tells her not to look. She wants to know who it is. Will asks her who hates her the most. Sami thinks they could be there all night with a list like that. Lucas tells her that it’s Lexie and Abe. Sami turns around. Lexie is affronted that Sami is staring at her. Abe asks her if she wants to leave. He suggests they order dessert and forget that Sami Brady exists. Lexie tells Abe he gives her so much strength – he’s so confident – he belongs. Because of the fact that she is a DiMera she’s always had to work twice as hard as the next person. She’s her father’s daughter after all – she let herself be blackmailed into lying to a patient – she proved it. Abe won’t let her run herself down. Sami suggests they go to the Brady Pub. Will asks her if she is just going to run away. Lucas says Sami is a little uncomfortable. Will would be too if he blackmailed a doctor. Will makes an excuse and leaves his parents alone. Lucas tells Sami that he and Will let her back into their lives because she apologised so why doesn’t she do the same with Lexie. He wants her to march over to the table and say she’s sorry.
Sami can’t go over there. Lucas thinks she will feel better if she does. Sami is not afraid of apologising, she feels she should – she just doesn’t think it’s anything Lexie wants to hear. It’s not going to go well. Lucas tells her not to worry about – how much worse can it get. They’re already enemies. He wants her to do it for Will – take the high road and do what is right. Lexie and Abe’s dessert arrives at almost the same time Sami does. Lexie ignores her. Abe comments that he seen her with Lucas and Will having a good time. Sami states that Will is such a good kid that sometimes she forgets he’s hers. She’s grateful to Will and Lucas for giving her another chance. She hopes that other people will as well. She wants to make up for the hurtful things she has done. She apologises to Lexie. She hopes that Lexie will forgive her. Lexie won’t accept her apology. She sees what Sami gets out of this. She’ll be redeemed in her son’s eyes but I’m sorry won’t get Lexie her job back. Sami tells Lexie to ask herself why it was so easy to blackmail her – she should have stayed faithful to Abe. Abe steps in and says this is over. Sami tells Abe she is sorry. She turns to Lexie and says you are sitting here basking in the forgiveness of my family – they’ve forgiven you so many times but you can’t do the same thing for me. She was an idiot to come over here. She heads to the ladies room. Lexie follows with the bottle of champagne in her hand. Will returns and asks Lucas where Sami is. Lucas thinks Sami is about to get a not so sweet surprise.
Lexie comes up behind Sami who is at the sink and dumps the champagne on Sami’s head. Sami screams. Lexie is pleased with herself – she rejoins Abe. He wants to know what happened. Lexie grins – he’ll see. Sami comes out dripping wet. Abe comments that it was a $200 bottle of champagne. Lexie thinks it was worth every cent. They leave. Will comments that Sami is wet. Sami sits down calmly and answers that she decided to take a champagne shower. Lucas asks her how it feels. Sami feels great – she’s with her family and that is all that matters to her.
Titan: First Belle arrives and puts on airs as she returns Victor’s cheque. Than Shawn stomps in ranting and raving that Victor can’t buy him off. Victor says it’s a peace offering. Shawn considers it a buy off – Victor must want something. Victor wants to be a part of Claire’s life. Shawn spouts off at the mouth about the terrible thing Victor did to Claire. Victor knows what he did was wrong. Shawn keeps running off at the mouth about what a liar Victor is – and what an awful person he is. Victor comments that he’s not the only one with a temper – Shawn’s more like his Greek grandfather than he thinks. Shawn would shoot himself if he was like Victor – like we would get that lucky … sigh. Belle gives Shawn an order. He obeys. Victor tells them to sit down – he has something to say. Shawn won’t – Belle orders him to – he obeys. Victor wants a new beginning – Claire is that new beginning for him. He wasn’t able to be there for Isabella or Bo and most of Philip’s childhood he spent in a nursing home. He wants to give the love that he couldn’t give to his children to Claire. Claire is his only link to Philip – he loved that little girl.
Belle doesn’t think Philip will be gone forever. When he found out Claire wasn’t his child, his world fell apart. He’s just putting himself back together and then he’ll return to Salem. Victor thought the same for the first few weeks. Patience isn’t in his DNA so he hired a private detective firm. Belle declares that Philip would hate that – yeah, like she even knows the first thing about the man. The agency and the five others he’s hired worldwide haven’t come up with a trace. Philip stepped off the plane at JFK and disappeared. No one has seen him since – Victor excuses himself – he’s emotional. Shawn snarls that Victor thinks he’s the only one who has lost someone. Philip is just punishing his parents for keeping the truth from him. Belle thinks it’s so weird that he went so far underground that no one can find him. Victor returns apologising – he doesn’t normally let his emotions get the best of him. He wants to spend time with Claire in his home – the home Philip grew up in. Excuse me Victor – but that mansion burned down … sigh … history, anyone – check it. He loves Claire and wants to do nice things for her. Shawn declares that they don’t need his help. Belle puts Shawn in his place – it’s not his decision, it’s hers.
Shawn protests – Belle scathingly chastises him and makes sure he knows who is boss. Belle goes on and on about how important Philip is to Claire … Victor leaves them alone – smart man – it’s painful to watch Shawn being such a first class wuss. Shawn can’t believe that Belle is going to let that lying hypocrite spend time with Claire. Why shouldn’t she, Shawn – she’s one herself and so are you … … ackkk!!! Victor is Claire’s only link to Philip. Shawn doesn’t care. Philip walked out on that girl – he’s here and wants to take care of her starting right now. Shawn starts grovelling. He got a job with EJ Wells. He’s looking for an apartment in a great part of town with enough space for Claire so she can spend weekends with him. He pulls out a wad of $100 bills – his first child support payment. Belle is surprised that he’s paying in cash – what kind of job plays so well. Shawn lies – its mechanic stuff. He’ll pay her that every week. Belle is impressed. Shawn wants to earn his right to be in Claire’s life – this is the new him – employed, dependable … yeah, right …
Belle thinks Shawn has his act together – better than her. Of course – it has to be all about Belle. She whines that she’s living with her parents – she used to be smart. After Shawn sings her praises long enough Belle asks if he’s still staying with Willow. Shawn hedges and then admits he is but that he’ll be out of there as soon as he finds a place. Belle doesn’t approve of Willow’s choice as an adult to sell her body … bad childhood aside. She won’t have her daughter around that. Shawn will do whatever Belle wants – boy he lies so very easily. Talk about being a hypocrite. Victor returns. Will they let him be a grandfather to Claire. Belle, the queen of the universe, deigns to allow Victor to see Claire as long as he abides by HER rules. Belle and Shawn leave. Victor smiles. I would too – LOL – he played them so easily it’s laughable.
Dune: Nick offers to stop by as soon as he gets his first paycheque and give it all to the bartender. Chelsea offers to work it off – she’ll wash dishes. The bartender doesn’t accept her offer. He wants $88 on the bar or Chelsea and her fake ID go to jail. Nick tries to smooth talk the bartender and appeals to his good side. The bartender says nice try. His girlfriend is going to jail. Chelsea jumps in and denies that she is his girlfriend. He’s just some loser tagging along with them. Abby pulls Chelsea aside and tells her that sometimes she thinks Chelsea is too dumb to live – Nick is trying to help her. Nick thinks they should be able to come to some kind of solution. The bartender wouldn’t mind having a wristwatch like Nick’s. Nick likes it too – his parents gave it to him for graduation. The bartender says it’s new – you’re not used to wearing it – you won’t miss it. He figures it’s worth thousands. Nick asks him if he thinks that a fair exchange for drinks and a few glasses worth $88. The bartender smugly says it’s how you look at it. A watch for $88 dollars or a watch for freedom. He thinks they should make a bet. If he wins he gets the watch … unless it’s a knockoff. Nick hands it to him – they guy reads the inscription sarcastically. Nick wants to know what the bet is. Abby tells him they’ll phone Aunt Maggie and she’ll bring the money. Nick slaps the watch on the bar and says he’s in.
The bartender places an olive and a brandy snifter on the bar. Nick’s challenge is to get the olive into the glass without touching the olive. Chelsea declares that he can’t do that – no one can. This is stupid. Chelsea tells the bartender to call the cops. Nick scopes out the olive and the glass. He asks the bartender how long he has – two minutes. The patrons start cheering Nick on. Nick places the glass over the olive – he’ll use a simple law of physic. He starts spinning the glass over the olive and within seconds – voila the olive is in the glass. Everyone is impressed. Nick tells Chelsea she’s a free women – he leaves holding the back of his pants together. Abby and Chelsea follow him outside. Chelsea wants to know if he’s a genius or something. Nick says he and his frat brothers spent hours playing those kinds of games. Abby thinks Chelsea should thank Nick – if it wasn’t for him she’d be in jail. Chelsea tells Nick that he’s okay. She’s sorry that she called him a loser. Nick has to leave – first day on the job tomorrow. Chelsea tells Abby she’ll call her tomorrow. She then tells Nick to lose the glasses. Abby apologises for Chelsea – she comes off as wild but she’s basically okay. Nick thinks she is magnificent. Abby doesn’t understand why. Nick has never met a girl with a police record before. He doesn’t have that much experience with girls – he thinks Chelsea is exciting. Abby thanks him – tonight was fun in its own weird way.

Pat’s Spoilers
Hospital – Part 1: Kayla wakes up. Steve comments that she has a bit of a fever. She asks him if he remembers their first wedding. He does – it was on a boat. She mentions the charm he gave her. Steve says it was a gold anchor. She still has it. She put it on a chain. Kayla tells Steve that he is her anchor, always has been and always will be. She falls back to sleep. Steve asks himself what he’s doing. He can’t keep lying to her. Stephanie arrives. Steve tells her that Kayla is a little better. She’s resting now. Stephanie asks if he thinks she is going to make it. Steve says yes. Stephanie can’t wait until Mom can come home and they can be a family. Steve tells her to slow down – she still is very sick – they need an antidote. Stephanie knows that but her mom will get better and then they can take care of her, right. Steve says sure but she will need professional care. It’s too soon to talk about her coming home. Stephanie wants assurance that they will be a family again – Steve gives her that assurance.
Penthouse Grill – Part 1: Kate and Billie are having a meal together. Billie is moping. She tells her mother she lost him – she lost Steve. Kate wants to hear everything. Billie says the last time she was there she overheard him telling Kayla he got his memory back. Kate says that is good news, isn’t it. Billie whines that it’s good for Kayla but not for her. Kate reminds her that it’s good news for Steve too. Billie agrees – she did want him to get his memory back. Kate sees that Billie is now afraid that Steve won’t feel the same about her any longer. Billie is upset that she let herself fall for him. He told her he cared about her when he woke up out of his coma – they were talking about having a future together. (Huh … they were??? I must have missed that). Kate asks her if she talked to Steve about this – just because he got his memory back that doesn’t mean he’s automatically going to be in love with Kayla. Billie is being realistic – she knows that he is in love with Kayla – she heard him tell her that. Kate tells her to be pro-active. She needs to end this. Get on with her life. She has to stop wasting her time on men that don’t appreciate her. Kate doesn’t want to see her go to pieces – no man is worth that.
Sami’s apt: Sami thinks Lucas is a bad influence – he brought donuts. She wants to know what he is doing there. He wanted to talk to her about yesterday – about the great time they had. They talk about the day at the park. Sami says they had a great day, they were having a great dinner and then out of nowhere Lexie poured champagne on her – not that she didn’t deserve it. Lucas mentions that Sami didn’t lose her composure Lexie was the one out of control. That has to make her feel good. Lucas tells her that both he and Will were very proud of her. Sami wants to earn Will’s trust. She knows she has Lucas to thank for Will giving her a second chance – he’s supporting her and he doesn’t have to do that. Lucas says yes he does, she is Will’s mother. Lucas wants them all to get along. So does Sami. There’s a knock on her door. It’s EJ. He wants to know why she hasn’t returned his calls. Sami doesn’t want anything to do with him – he’s sleeping with the enemy. Lucas tells EJ that Sami told him about him and his mother. EJ denies it. Sami pulls out the bra she found in EJ’s apartment and throws it at him – only Kate would have her bras monogrammed. Lucas calls EJ scum – he’s always known that and he’s glad that Sami knows it now as well. He warns EJ that if he lays a finger on his mother he’ll rip that smug look right off his face. Sami kicks EJ out of her apartment slamming the door behind him.
Sami and Lucas are enjoying their coffee and donuts. Sami can’t believe that EJ led her on like that. She thought he cared about her but the whole time he was sleeping with Kate. Lucas doesn’t understand what she saw in the guy – was he good in bed or something. Sami asks him if he thinks that is the only thing about a man that attracts her – whether he’s good in bed or not. Lucas thinks real sleek – answering his question with a question. Sami wasn’t going to answer his question because it’s none of his business. Lucas is sorry he asked – she’s right it’s none of his business. Sami tells him she doesn’t know if EJ is good in bed because she didn’t sleep with him. Lucas is happy about that. Sami states that she wouldn’t sleep with EJ now – she can’t believe the jerk wanted her to choose between Will and him. The fact that he’s sleeping with Kate grosses her out. Uncle Bo warned her that EJ was trouble and he obviously had a point. She should have known it was too good to be true – that EJ would be interested in her just for her. Lucas declares that EJ is a moron – he doesn’t know what he is missing. Sami chastises herself for not figuring out that EJ had an ulterior motive for getting involved with her. She wishes she knew what it was. Lucas is happy she didn’t get in too deep with EJ. Sami says because you care about me? Lucas does care about her – she’s his son’s mother. Sami says right. Lucas says and I happen to care about you a lot. They stare at each other. Lucas breaks the moment by bringing up Will’s upcoming ski camp. They’re both looking forward to going on this class trip with him.
Hope, Patrick, Dr Bader: Hope is having an ultrasound. Patrick is with her. Dr. Bader recommends an amniocentesis. Patrick doesn’t think it’s necessary. Dr. Bader just said that everything looked good. Hope stares at him. She tells him she knows how he feels but if there is something wrong with the baby the sooner they know about it the sooner they can deal with it. Her cell phone rings. (In the hospital??? … Huh?) It’s Bo. Hope tells him that she’s at the hospital with Patrick. She just had an ultrasound. Bo is glad to hear that everything is going well with the baby. Hope asks if he was calling for a reason. Bo tells her that he was just thinking of her – he can’t get her off his mind. He’ll talk to her soon. Patrick wants to know what the hell Bo wanted. Hope says he called to find out how I was feeling. Dr. Bader tells Hope that she should see her secretary and schedule an appointment for the amnio. She leaves them. Hope asks Patrick to wait outside while she changes. Patrick confronts Dr. Bader. She tells him she would recommend amniocentesis for any patient Hope’s age. She feels it is in the best interest of both the mother and the baby. Patrick is worried about what the test will show. Dr. Bader explains what it is used for. Patrick’s more worried about the paternity – they both know that Bo is the father and the test will show that. Dr. Bader says only if someone is looking for it. Patrick threatens that no one can know that Baby Lockhart is really Baby Brady. Dr. Bader doesn’t want it to come out either – look what happened to Lexie Carver. Patrick offers more money. Dr. Bader accepts. In return Patrick wants her to be the one to do the test and to interpret the results herself. If she doesn’t they’re both going down.
Police Station: Roman, Bo and John head into Roman’s office. Roman is happy to hear that Kayla is conscious and that Steve got his memory back. An officer brings the contents of Patrick Lockhart’s locker – the commissioner asked for them. They are Patrick’s personal items including his ID badge. Bo thinks they should take a look at them. Roman doesn’t think it would hurt to double check. Bo pulls out the ID badge and asks for the bank statement they found of Eve’s – the one with the number on it. Roman goes to get it. Bo tells John that they were hoping the number would lead to her boss but IT couldn’t come up with anything. Roman returns. Bo checks the number against Patrick’s ID – the number on Eve’s bank statement is Lockhart’s ID number. They determine that Eve knew Lockhart was a threat to her. After Bo hangs up from talking with Hope he tells Roman he didn’t say anything to her because Lockhart is with her. If he would have said something with Lockhart there Patrick would have explained it away. They have to wait until they have something concrete then they can put that scum-sucking pig away for life. Bo admits that him being on Patrick’s case puts Hope on edge. He doesn’t want to do anything to endanger her baby.
Hospital – Part 2: Steve is paging through the notebook when Billie arrives. He comments that he hasn’t seen her for a while. She’s been busy. Billie says they have to talk. Steve has something for her … he shows her the necklace. Billie tells him it’s beautiful but she can’t accept it. It wouldn’t be right considering he got his memory back. Steve asks her who told her that. Billie tells him that she was there earlier – she heard him telling Kayla. It’s great – she’s so happy for the both of them. Steve sees that Stephanie has arrived so he says yeah … remembering after all this time … Stephanie tells Billie she’s sorry. She knows Billie loves her Dad but he belongs with her mom. Billie agrees. She tells Steve she’ll see him later and leaves. Billie and Hope meet up. Billie wants Hope to know nothing happened between her and Bo at the pub. He was just letting her cry on his shoulder again. She had just found out that Steve remembered Kayla – she’s happy about that but to be honest she is disappointed that things didn’t work out between them. Hope knows she cares about Steve. She means a lot to Steve too – he told her.
Stephanie tells Steve that he made the right choice – Billie will find someone else. Steve agrees that it wasn’t meant to be between him and Billie. Stephanie notices that her mother is awake. Kayla tells Steve that she had a nice dream. There was an ocean and stars but then she started to sink – she couldn’t breathe. Her breathing is laboured. The doctor arrives. Stephanie yells at her dad to do something. Steve urges Kayla to hang on. Stephanie is crying – Steve goes to the window. He tells her that everything is going to be okay. Dr. Myers tells Steve that his wife’s condition is worsening. He and his daughter need to prepare themselves. Hope joins Stephanie at the window. Dr. Myers wishes he had better news for Steve. Kayla is experiencing great difficulty in breathing because there is fluid in her lungs. Steve asked if they can do anything. Stephanie asks about the antidote. Dr. Myers says they are still searching but they haven’t found anything. They’re in a race against time and he is afraid they are losing. Stephanie cries. Steve tries to comfort her. Dr. Myers suggests they call the other family members. Kayla may not recover from this.
Surveillance van & EJ’s apt: Bo joins John and asks if there is anything good on TV. John says not even reruns – he glances up at the monitor and says now this can be interesting. They watch as EJ lets Kate into his apartment. Once they get past the idle chitchat – they get down to business. EJ wants to know if she found out why the police are poking into his affairs. Kate hasn’t but she did tell him that John Black is asking questions about him. John may not be a police officer but he used to be and he still has close ties to the department. John warned her to steer clear of him – EJ is not to be trusted. Bo asks John what the hell Kate is doing. John answers – just what I expected her to do. EJ wants Kate to tell her everything John said.
Bo tells John they have to shut Kate up. EJ is going to know they’re on to them. John smiles and says he knows. EJ wants to know when his name came up during John and Kate’s conversation. Kate tells him it was when they were talking about the accident. John thinks that EJ is involved in the gloved hand crimes. EJ declares ‘that’s preposterous!’. Kate said she told John that – after all their driver was injured in the crash. John is wrong, isn’t he. EJ says of course. Kate warns him that John will play rough if he thinks EJ is operating outside the law. EJ should be careful. EJ thinks that if John is working with Bo who was just kicked off the police force it is those two working outside the law. EJ appreciates Kate finding out all this stuff for him. They’re about to kiss when EJ’s phone rings. It’s John inviting him for a drink so they can meet. They agree to meet at the Penthouse Grill. EJ thinks it’s interesting that John called right after they talked about him. Kate agrees that it is quite the coincidence. They leave together. Bo wants to know what gives – Kate just blew their investigation and John is going to meet EJ. John states its all part of his plan. Kate is going to help. Bo doesn’t trust Kate. John tells him to think of it this way – it’ll be a lot better if she is an ally not an enemy. The meeting is just to get him out of the apartment so Kate can search it. Kate enters EJ’s apartment and starts going through drawers. John tells Bo he is going to go and meet EJ and stall him. He gives Bo Kate’s cell number and asks him to call and warn her if EJ comes back early.
John returns. EJ wasn’t very talkative. Bo tells him Kate is still inside acting like she has all day. He tried to call her but it went straight to voice mail. John says EJ is going to be back any second. He tries to call Kate – Kate is still busy searching away. Bo says we got trouble –EJ is outside the apartment. Kate has just run out of time.
Penthouse Grill – Part 2: EJ is sitting at the bar – John joins him and thanks him for meeting him on such short notice. EJ has heard a lot of good things about John. John can’t say the same about EJ – he cuts to the chase. EJ tells him to ask him any questions he might have. John wants to know if he has had any dealings with the Brady’s. EJ says no. He has met Roman and Bo. He knows Shawn Sr has a pub. He knows Shawn Douglas better – in fact he just hired him – he’s a hell of a mechanic. Why is John interested? John wants to know if EJ knows anything about the bad stuff happening to the Brady’s. EJ doesn’t – he thinks they should talk about Kate. Then from Kate John moves on to questioning him about Patrick. They go round in circles – EJ doesn’t say anything – John finds out nothing. EJ leaves. John calls Bo and tells him that EJ is on his way back – is Kate still in the apartment. She is – she believes there has to be something in there that will let her know what EJ is up to.
Preview: Mimi to Bonnie – I am worried about Patrick. What if the money he had was stolen? You realise that you are in just as much trouble as he is. Bo to Patrick – Eve Michaels as good as named you as her killer. Steve to Kayla – I don’t know what to do baby. I don’t remember a damn thing. I don’t want to break your heart all over again. John to Marlena – Take a look at this. (He holds up a ring). Marlena – Oh my gosh. Where did you find that?

Janice’s Spoilers
E.J.’s Apartment/Sami’s Apartment/Surveillance Van
Kate is rifling through E.J.’s papers in his bedroom when E.J. comes home. While he casually fixes himself a drink, she worries about being caught red-handed. John and Bo watch in the van and figure they have to cause a diversion, pronto. Bo calls Sami and tells her he needs a matter of life and death favor...wants her to go over to E.J.’s apartment and distract him for a minute. Sami reminds Bo that she thinks E.J. is a jerk and doesn’t want to see him again. Bo asks her if he can count on her help.
Bo and John watch as E.J. moves towards the bedroom. A knock on the door stops him in the nick of time. E.J. opens the door and is surprised to see Sami there. She asks if she can come in. He tells her in a very unfriendly voice that it isn’t a good time. She wants to talk to him about “us.” He argues that there is no “us” and asks if she has suddenly changed her mind. She says maybe and wants him to cut her a break...it’s been such a difficult couple of months for her and her family. He reminds her that Lucas and Will abandoned her at the first sign of trouble but that he has stood by her through thick and thin. She knows that but argues that she thought he was trying to make her choose between her and her son. E.J. backtracks and says it was only Lucas he was asking her to choose between. Sami says she can’t cut Lucas out of her life because he is Will’s father and it means everything to her that Lucas and Will want to still be a family. Kate eavesdrops.
Sami tells E.J. that she knows that she and Lucas are just friends and not meant to be together. She wonders if she and E.J. can try again...if he’s still interested. E.J. plays hard to get. Sami kisses him. From his vantage point, Bo is impressed and thinks they have to get Kate out of there right away. He picks up the phone. John taps softly on the bedroom window and cajoles a height-challenged Kate to climb out.
Back in the living room, E.J. is impressed with the kiss. Sami tells him that she has been attracted to him since the first time she met him but figures he must be used to women throwing themselves at him...like Kate. E.J. wants to get to second and third base. She reminds him how they got in trouble the first time and suggests that they take it nice and slow. He balks at that idea. She tells him she has to go and that she will call him. He presses her for a time. She tells him soon and kisses him again before leaving.
Kate knocks something off the dresser as she is climbing out the window. John tells her to leave it. E.J. hears the noise and goes into the bedroom to check things out. He looks out the window.
Back in the van, John mentions Sami’s part in Kate’s escape. Kate shows him a ring with the Dimera crest. John and Bo are shocked. Kate isn’t sure it’s the real thing. John is. Bo connects the dots between Patrick, E.J., and the Dimeras. John tells Kate to just continue doing what she is doing and maybe E.J. will let his guard down. Bo answers his phone. Roman tells him he better get to the hospital right away because it looks like Kayla might not have much longer. John wants to go with him but Bo says he has a stop to make on the way.
Back in Sami’s apartment, Bo arrives to thank Sami. She wants to know what he thinks E.J. is guilty of...admits that it wasn’t easy...she had to kiss him...yada... yada...and she had just finished telling Lucas that E.J. and she were through. Bo appreciates her sacrifice and is very proud of her...says she helped a lot of people. He asks her to come with him to the hospital. She balks but Bo says she is family and should be there. Sami is very sorry for what she has done.
Later, E.J. is outside Sami’s apartment door with his cell phone...calls Shawn to make sure he’s making the delivery. Will turns up and asks him what he wants...yells that his mom doesn’t want anything to do with him and she isn’t home anyway but at the hospital... wonders why E.J. keeps bugging her when she told him to get lost...reminds E.J. that his parents like each other and don’t need him. E.J. picks on someone much smaller than himself and tells Will about Sami’s previous visit where they lip locked...that Sami and her lips are very interested and if he decides he wants to see her again, that there isn’t anything he or his little father can do about it. He leaves. Will looks frustrated.
Patrick’s House
Patrick is trashing the living room when Mimi arrives and asks what he is up to. He explains that he is looking for his money. She reasons that if the money was stolen from the lock box that it definitely won’t be under the cushions. Patrick looks at her with suspicion and accuses her of knowing a lot about it. Mimi tells him: “For the last time, I didn’t raid your stash. I might be broke and a lot of other things but I am not a thief.” He apologizes...says he is going crazy. She thinks Bonnie is the most likely person to take someone else’s property.
Outside, Bonnie is talking on her cell phone to Nancy... knows she is late on the payroll taxes but needs some time...already took out an interest free loan from a family member... won’t ask Mickey for money...doesn’t need him anymore or any of the Hortons. She grins with excitement as she tells her that she is about to get in bed with a Kiriakis.
Patrick has a hard time believing that his mom would rip him off again. Mimi goes down memory lane and reminds him about the Love is Blind quiz show where she won 50 grand...enough to pay for college...that their dear mom stole her identity and bank account so she could buy lottery tickets that didn’t hit the jackpot. She thinks that something is up with Bonnie needing money and Alice’s being packed every night.
Bonnie comes in and smiles at her children...happy they are all under one roof. Patrick counters that it makes it more convenient for her to rip them off. He tells her he wants what she took from him and says she is not leaving until he gets it. Bonnie denies taking the money. Patrick insists on knowing what happened and warns her not to tell him it was Mimi again. Mimi is offended that her mom accused her. Bonnie tap dances and says there are two other jailbirds living in the house... Billie and Chelsea. She decides to phone Abe and ask him to set up a formal investigation. Patrick goes ballistic and stops her.
He doesn’t want the cops involved in his business...they are too busy trying to hang him for a crime he didn’t commit. Just then a car stops in front of the house and Patrick runs out. Mimi looks out the window and is surprised to see Shawn. Bonnie wisecracks that maybe Shawn has come to his senses and wants her back. Mimi rolls her eyes and says she doesn’t think so. Patrick returns and tells them he can’t stay. He leaves again and opens the envelope which says: Get information on John Black. Find out how he and Brady know...ASAP.
Mimi tells Bonnie that she is really worried about Patrick...wonders if the money has been stolen. She warns her mom that if she did take the money, she could be in just as much trouble as Patrick is. Bonnie starts puffing on a cigarette like a chimney stack... thinks Mimi’s imagination is running away with her. Mimi wonders why Bonnie is nervous...notes that Bonnie always smokes when she’s nervous. Bonnie argues that she also smokes when she’s on a diet and reaffirms that she didn’t take Patrick’s money. Mimi doesn’t believe her...talks about it being stolen money and that when Patrick finds out about Bonnie, she will wish she hadn’t done it.
Bonnie keeps puffing away...tells Mimi that if she is trying to scare her it’s not going to work. Mimi can’t believe Bonnie isn’t worried about Patrick and wonders about Shawn and all the deliveries. Bonnie insists that Patrick is capable of taking care of himself and that she has her own problems to worry about. She says she has to go to work and slams the door behind her.
Hospital
While the family watches from outside, Steve begs a moaning Kayla to come back to them. He reminds her about getting married on the boat and bout using the word “courage”. Out in the hallway, Dr. Myers tells the family that Kayla is failing very quickly. Caroline begs him not to give up on her. Nick arrives and tells them that he thinks he has the answer...one that could save Kayla’s life.
Dr. Myers introduces Nick to everyone...says he is doing research for the Horton Foundation. Hope hugs him and tells everyone that he is her 2nd cousin. Caroline hugs him as well and explains to Shawn Sr. that he is Jessica and Joshua’s son...etc... Nick tells them about Dr. Phong, his former professor who develops hypoallergenic drugs related to biotoxins. He asks for the family’s permission to pursue this and then both he and Dr. Myers leave to phone Dr. Phong and set the ball rolling.
Steve and Hope talk about miracles. Hope misunderstands and assumes, based on what Billie and the nurse said, that he has his real memory back and that everyone knows that his real love is Kayla and they belong together. Steve tells her that he didn’t want to hurt Billie. She wonders if the notes she and Bo made helped.
Roman and Marlena talk about her and John. He tells her not to wait too long before starting out again. She looks at him strangely.
Hope apologizes to Steve for jumping the gun. Steve wishes he could tell Hope what she wants to hear but he can’t. He tells her that he is committed to keeping Kayla alive... getting Kayla well and out of that damn box. Steve sees someone/something and gets distracted... figures he was too tired and didn’t really see what he thought he did. He turns back to Kayla.
John finds Marlena and tells everyone that Bo is on his way. Caroline, Roman, and Shawn Sr. leave to get some soup. Marlena quizzes John on his findings. He shows a shocked Marlena the Dimera ring and tells her it was in E.J. Well’s apartment. She wonders why he would have it and if he is a Dimera. John isn’t sure but promises to find out. Marlena tries to get him to walk away and let Roman and the police handle it. She thinks he has no business being involved in this and could be in more danger than the Bradys. John tries to charm Marlena. She has a very oppressive feeling that something bad will happen if he stays involved.
Bo and Sami arrive. Marlena is glad she came and hugs her. Sami apologizes but Caroline says that Kayla needs all the prayers she can get. Roman is angry and asks Bo what the hell Sami is doing there. Bo tells him that Sami is family and did something that went a long way to redeeming herself today. He tells him about Sami helping them with E.J....and that even though she doesn’t like the guy, sucked it up and he’s proud of her. He just thought Roman should know. Roman goes up to Sami. Sami turns to go but he tells her that her Uncle Bo told him what she did...says he’s very proud of her. Sami starts to cry and goes into his arms.
Hope explains to Bo about Nick’s idea being a long shot but that it could be a chance for Kayla. Bo hugs Hope...can’t bear the thought of losing his sister. Patrick arrives and Bo glares at him.
Steve tells a comatose Kayla that he doesn’t know what to do...wants to help her get well but wants to know what will happen down the road when she finds out it’s a lie and he doesn’t remember a damn thing. He doesn’t want to break her heart all over again.
Patrick tells Bo and Hope that he heard about Kayla and just wanted to be there to support Hope. Hope tells Bo she will handle it. He tells her to get rid of him. She tells Patrick he shouldn’t be there because this is about Kayla and her family. Patrick agrees to leave...was just worried about her. She tells him they will talk later. Bo stalks Patrick and tells him that Eve Michaels has as good as named him as her killer. He says it’s just a matter of time before Patrick is behind bars where he belongs...that they found his academy ID number on a scribbled piece of paper in Eve’s belongings...that it’s not a coincidence and that no one on the Salem PD believes it is. Bo smirks and tells Patrick to have a good day.
Nick runs out and tells them that he has news. The clinic in Ottawa can use Kayla’s blood to create an antitoxin...it can be sent out by express plane tonight and all they have to do is keep Kayla hanging on and she’ll be home free. Steve tells all of them not to worry and that Kayla will make it. Caroline tells Steve that she is sure of it as long as he is with her daughter. A nurse comes up to Dr. Myers. He turns to the family with bad news...major blizzard occurring in the lower Canadian provinces...all commercial planes are grounded...and it could be 48 hours or more before a plane can get out of there with the antitoxin. Caroline is upset and says that Kayla doesn’t have 48 hours...she needs the serum tonight. Marlena suggests that John save the day by getting clearance to fly in. He tells her that she just might have saved Kayla’s life. She says something very weird like she also saved his. He looks at her curiously.
Bar
Kate is daydreaming as she twirls the umbrella in her drink. E.J. arrives...got her message. She only wanted company. He tells her about Sami...surmises about John’s part in having someone toss his apartment. Kate plays dumb and suggests calling Roman. E.J. tells her not to...he doesn’t have any proof and thinks he would be laughed at...asks her for a favor...wants her to keep an eye on her old friend John Black for him. She agrees to. He has to go but says he will “take care” of her later.

Shawn’s New Apartment—Part I
Shawn asks Willow what she thinks of his new place. She’s amazed that his kitchen is bigger than her whole place. He talks about getting his furniture. She suggests they get one of those drive-it-yourself deals and stop by both their places to get their stuff. He doesn’t reply and she asks what is wrong. He backtracks from having her move in with him yet...still has to get Belle to check the place out and make sure it’s okay for Claire before he decides to take it...she’s coming over right away. Willow takes offence and assumes it won’t be a selling point with her living there.
An upset Willow tells Shawn that she knows a hooker isn’t good for scoring points with the ex. He argues that she knows he doesn’t feel that way but that they didn’t have a deal. Willow says: “Stupid me thinking when you said I could move in with you, you meant it.” He just wants to get settled and then they will talk. He asks her to give him a break...he’s busting himself to get his life together so that Belle will let him spend 5 minutes with Claire and he can’t mess things up. Willow is angry. She figures he thinks its okay to take her to bed but God forbid that he should give a damn about her. She gives him an ultimatum...either he wants her to move in with him or he doesn’t. He tells her not to make him choose between her and Claire. She argues that it isn’t between her and Claire...it’s between her and Belle. Shawn says that he and Belle are over but he just needs some time to work things out with her. Willow yells at him to take the rest of his life and storms out of there.
Shawn hides Willows bag in a cupboard just as Belle arrives. She likes the security... comments on how big the place is...but looks suspicious when he tells her that the apartment it has two bedrooms. He explains that its for him and Claire when she visits and he’s going to set up the second bedroom for her. Belle talks about getting locks on the windows and childproofing the place...i.e. cabinets. He tells her he will...wants to prove he can be a good father to Claire. He gets a call...Patrick telling him to meet him at the hospital...asks her to stay while he goes on an errand for his boss...wants to talk to her about Claire when he gets back. He leaves and Belle starts looking around...opens fridge ...opens cupboard and finds Willow’s bag...gets an “I told you so” look on her face.
Belle answers the door to Willow. They snipe at each other. Willow accuses her of going through her bag. Belle laughs and says Willow doesn’t have anything she wants. They argue about Shawn. Belle goes on the attack and tells Willow that there is a big difference between sex and commitment. Willow replies that most men prefer sex. Belle counters that most women prefer commitment. She asks Willow sarcastically: “So what does that make you? Shawn’s dirty little secret?” Willow argues that Shawn isn’t ashamed of her. Belle goes for round three.
Hospital
A young man looks into the room everyone is waiting in. He leaves just as Patrick arrives. Patrick looks at the note he received earlier about finding out about John and Bo. He looks through the window and sees Bo with Hope.
John tells everyone that the jet is being prepped and they are good to go in less than an hour. Bo tells them he has bad news...the snowstorm has gotten a hell of a lot worse and they won’t get clearance to take off. Steve comes to the window and says them that if they don’t get the new drug for Kayla soon... Hope begs him not to panic. They all beg him to stay with Kayla and do what he can. Marlena tells Caroline that Kayla doesn’t have much time. John brainstorms another way to get the antidote.
He tells them that a friend of his has a single engine small plane and a private airfield...he won’t need clearance. Marlena is determined to go with him. John tells Bo to handle E.J. and Patrick in his absence and to stay out of trouble. He and Marlena leave for Ottawa. Bo sees Patrick but gets pulled back by Hope who tells him that Steve wants to talk to him. Steve asks him if he can get rid of the audience...too much pressure. Caroline balks at leaving but agrees to make a hot dinner for everyone at the pub and leaves. Stephanie makes her dad promise to take care of Kayla. Bo tells Hope about seeing Patrick. She doesn’t understand why he came back when she asked him to leave.
Patrick sees Hope and tells her he’s worried about her and the baby. She tells him she’s fine and getting lots of rest...even going over to the pub right now for a hot meal. He asks if she is going with Bo and whether Bo still thinks he is guilty of Eve’s murder. Hope tells him that Bo has a lot on his mind and is worried about Kayla. She goes to leave. Shawn arrives and gives him a new envelope. Patrick takes a note from his pocket and reads it: John Black flying to Ottawa in a private plane. Time to take him down? He puts it back in the envelope and tells Shawn to take it to E.J. right away.
Steve sits with Kayla and calls her “Sweetness.” He says: “That’s what they say I used to call you. You seem sweet but I don’t know...I don’t remember you...I told you I did because I was trying to get you better. I’m trying to remember our life together but what happens whey you wake up and find I’m just a blank slate? I wish I knew if I am doing the right thing.” The young man from before knocks on the window and starts signing to Steve. Steve is shocked. He remembers him and calls him by name...Benjy.
Benjy signs that he read in the paper that Steve was alive and he didn’t believe it...he also read that Steve lost his memory. Steve realizes that Benjy reads lips and he tells him that he can remember him...Benjy-monkey...that’s what he used to call him. Benjy asks him about Kayla. Steve says that they aren’t sure...are waiting for drugs from Canada for her. Steve admits that he doesn’t remember Kayla...just remembers his daughter as a baby. He verbalizes Benjy’s signing. Benjy remembers the Christmas they spent together and that what Kayla and Steve had was a love that was supposed to last a lifetime. Steve flashes back to his first Christmas with Kayla. He’s singing “dashing through the snow.” Benjy wants a sleigh ride and Steve is determined to get him one. Kayla doesn’t know how he will. He gives her a present and reminds her of how he got her a gondola ride on their honeymoon. Back in the present, Steve is in shock again and tells Benjy that he remembers.
Dr. Bader comes up to Patrick and threatens him with this and that if he doesn’t hold up his end of the deal. He tells her he’s a little cash-strapped but will come through and she will be paid. She threatens that when the next tests come back, she will tell Hope that Bo is the father. Patrick isn’t a happy camper.
Steve tells Benjy that he remembers that Christmas. Benjy signs that he has to go but will keep in touch... everything he knows about love and commitment, he learned from Steve and Kayla. He signs to Steve to have faith and leaves. Steve goes over to Kayla and tells her that he remembers that Christmas...singing and laughing...and they were together just like she said. Stephanie watches and smiles. Kayla wakes up and murmurs his name. He tells her about the antidote coming soon to make her better and about Benjy coming to see them...all grown up and they talked in sign language. He whispers to her that Benjy said they have to have faith.
Steve tells Kayla to rest and save her strength. She tells him that he is her strength. She promises to stay if he does. He promises...wants her to close her eyes and go back to sleep. He pulls the oxygen mask back on her face and goes to the window to talk to Stephanie. She believes he brought her mom back to them. He reminds her that John and Marlena have to get back with the antidote. Stephanie assures him that they will do everything they can to bring the medicine back.
The Jet
John and Marlena team up to do the flight check. He tries to get her to stay home. She insists on going. He kisses her for luck and tells her to get ready for takeoff. Lots of turbulence...John promises not to worry Marlena anymore and to let Bo handle the Dimeras when they get back. They kiss and don’t notice the oil pressure light flashing. John realizes they are flying into the mouth of the storm. The plane starts to go down and John yells Mayday...Mayday...into the microphone.
Pub
Bo and Hope share a booth at the pub. He reminisces that ever since Kayla was a little girl she was always helping everyone out...always wanted to be a doctor. Hope is sure that John and Marlena will come back with the antidote and that Kayla will be okay...they will all be a happy family again. Bo thanks her for being there with him. She asks about Patrick. He stays silent. She gets frustrated and tells him that she is having the man’s baby and has a right to know. Bo tells her they have new evidence but it’s circumstantial and he doesn’t want to get into it. She insists. He mentions the number that Eve wrote on her bank statement...says it is Patrick’s academy I.D. number. Hope is skeptical. He argues that Roman and John are with him on this and they know he is not just a jealous husband this time....if he’s right, Hope and her baby are in one hell of a lot of danger and he is afraid of what might happen to her. Hope listens to every word he says.
He admits that he didn’t want to say anything to Hope until he had more evidence. She tells him quietly that she doesn’t want to believe she is carrying a murderer’s baby and is glad that he confided in her. She says: “I’m ready for some good but I have a terrible feeling that we aren’t finished with the bad yet.
Shawn’s New Apartment—Part II
Willow confronts Belle and tells her that the only difference between them is that Belle has a rich family to bail her out when she needs them. Belle argues that she would never sell her body for money. Willow argues that she took care of herself the best way she knew how and that unless she’s been there, Belle doesn’t know what the hell she would do. Belle argues that unless Willow has been a mom, she doesn’t know what the hell she would do either, but Belle bets she wouldn’t let her kid grow up with Willow as a role model. She goes in for the kill and tells Willow that as long as she is going to be there with Shawn, Claire won’t be. Shawn arrives to hear the last part.
Shawn asks them what is going on. Belle tells him with slight sarcasm that she and Willow were just saying how his apartment is big enough for two and how great the apartment is. He sees that Willow has her bag. She isn’t impressed that he hid it because Belle would be “totally freaked out at the thought of them living together.” She tells him that they won’t be living together nor doing anything together and storms out. Belle informs Shawn that Willow is unstable and she doesn’t what her anywhere near Claire... warns him that if she finds Willow is living there then it will be Claire’s last visit. She storms out as well. Shawn takes out his anger on his jacket.

Pat’s Spoilers
Chez Rouge – Part 1: Chelsea keeps broadly hinting to Billie about something so Billie comes right out and asks her what she is talking about. Chelsea tells her that she saw Billie and Bo in bed together. She says she needed to borrow some money from Bo so she went to his room and was surprised to find them ‘doing it.’ Billie insists that she and Bo did not have sex. Chelsea isn’t buying it – they were naked in bed. Billie insists they were not naked. They were just consoling each other – nothing happened. Chelsea smugly asks her if their clothes just happened to fall off. Billie thinks a lot of people would get hurt if Chelsea went around saying that she and Bo had sex. Chelsea thinks that a lot of people will be hurt if she and Dad don’t say they want to be together. Billie tries to explain that Bo wants to be with Hope and she wanted to be with Steve – Chelsea, because of her age, thinks she knows everything – but she doesn’t. Chelsea says she knows that Billie and Bo belong together. Billie is frustrated – she is going to have to tattoo this on her forehead – your father and I are never going to get together. Never. Patrick interrupts them. This is a little awkward so he’s just going to say it. He had a lot of money at home and it’s missing. Billie wants to know if he thinks one of them took it. Chelsea clears that up – Patrick is saying she took it.
Patrick is accusing her of stealing his money and going out with her friends. Patrick just needs to know what happened to it. Chelsea tells him that if she were him she’d be a little less concerned about his money and a little more concerned about Hope. Patrick asks if something happened to Hope. Chelsea says my Dad wants to get back together with her. Patrick declares that Hope doesn’t want to get back with him. Chelsea keeps pushing – Bo and Hope are probably someplace together – Patrick is such a loser. Billie tells her enough – leave him alone. Chelsea tells them that they are both going to end up alone. She leaves. Patrick tells Billie he’ll see her back at the house. Patrick calls and leaves a message for Hope to call him.
Hospital: Hope is telling Stephanie that they didn’t know what to bring her so she picked out stuff that looked comfortable. Stephanie doesn’t think she should leave the hospital. Hope jokes – she knows her cooking is not the best but it’s better than hospital food. Stephanie doesn’t want to leave her mom and dad – they need her. Bo tells her that she should go to the house and get a good night’s rest and he’ll pick up her first thing in the morning to visit her parents. Stephanie looks surprised – she asks him ‘aren’t you staying with me and Hope?’ In the isolation room Steve is playing his harmonica. Kayla wakes up and says ‘put your lips together and blow’. Steve asks her what she said. She said that is how he answered her the first time she asked him how he learned to play. Great flashback to that scene. Kayla asks him if he remembers that – if he’s remembering more and more. He says he is remembering but not as much as she thinks. He hopes its enough.
Dr. Myers is checking out some reports. He tells Steve that he is completely clear of the biotoxin. He no longer needs to be quarantined. He is free to go. In Stephanie’s room Hope leaves Bo to explain things to his niece. He tells Stephanie that he and Hope aren’t living together. She thought they had worked things out after the missing disk thing. Hope says they are working on it. Bo assures Stephanie that Hope will take good care of her. Stephanie says that if she has to leave her mom and dad she wants to be with him – he’s her uncle. Bo doesn’t know what to say. Dr. Berman comes in – he wants to talk to Stephanie. Bo and Hope high-tail it out of the room. Bo smiles – Stephanie has turned into quite the matchmaker. Hope thinks Stephanie was sincere when she talked about how much she would like Bo to be around. Bo thinks that he can take her back to the pub – Ma’s got another room. Hope doesn’t think that’s a good idea – too much going on there. Why doesn’t he move back in with her?
Bo wants to know if this means … Hope says this is what is best for Stephanie. She is going to need both of them if something happens to Kayla. Bo says he’ll move into the guest room … no, he’ll sleep on the couch or … Hope says the tub, he says the kitchen counter. They’ll figure it out. Bo says they always do. Steve tells Dr. Myers that he can’t leave Kayla – she needs him. Dr. Myers informs him they don’t know when the antidote is going to get there. His daughter is being released. She’ll need him. Steve says she will be with her uncle and aunt besides Stephanie wants him to be with her mom. If he leaves Kayla could die. Dr. Myers tells him that if he stays he could die. Steve asks him to explain – he’s cured. The doctor warns him that he could get infected again. Steve says then you can give me another dose of the antidote. Dr. Myers explains that his immune system had been compromised. It may not work. Steve insists on staying. He’ll sign any forms the doctor gives him that will absolve the doctor of any blame. Dr. Myers admires his courage. Bo comes to see Steve. Steve wants to know if there’s been any word from John and Marlena. There hasn’t been. Hope is helping Stephanie get her stuff together – they’re taking her home with them. Steve appreciates that. Bo wants to know how he is doing. Steve could use a beer. Bo promises that when they get out of there they’ll toss back a few. Steve wants a favour from Bo. He wants to see Billie to explain. Bo will try his best. He tells Steve to tell Kayla that they love her. Bo leaves. Steve goes to Kayla. He gives her Bo’s message.
Stephanie tells Hope that she didn’t mean to hurt her feelings – is she okay with Bo moving back in. Hope is okay with it. Stephanie hopes that Bo and Hope get back together because Bo loves her so much and Hope loves him. When Hope was Stephanie’s age she thought love was enough. Stephanie says yeah but then life gets complicated. She’s heard it before. Stephanie is never going to stop believing in love – not in Bo and Hope’s and not in her mom and dad’s. She heads to the bathroom to get the rest of her stuff. Patrick shows up- asking Hope why she didn’t answer her cell phone. She tells him that she shut it off when she came back to the hospital. Why is he here? She told him she would see him tomorrow. Patrick is worried about her – he saw how tired she was. Hope wants to talk to him outside the room. She is going to take Stephanie home with her. Patrick offers to help – she shouldn’t do this by herself. Hope isn’t – she’s asked Bo to move back in with her.
Hope tells him that Stephanie needs both her and Bo. Patrick thinks that this is something Bo said. Hope informs him that she is the one that asked Bo to move back in. Patrick doesn’t buy it – that they’re just doing it for Stephanie. Hope expects him not to grill him. He wants to know what changed in two hours. Stephanie got released from the hospital. Patrick wants her to be honest with him – she’s having his baby. Hope tries to leave. Patrick starts listing all the bad things Bo did to him now Bo is moving back in and she won’t return his calls. Something is going on and he’s not leaving until Hope tells him what it is. Kayla wakes up. Steve thinks it might help her to sit up. He crawls into bed with her and lifts her up against him. She doesn’t know if its morning or night – everything is all mixed up. She talks about Stephanie’s accident. Steve tells her that Stephanie is fine – she’s going home. Kayla says she needs her mother. What if she doesn’t get better. Steve doesn’t want to hear any negative thoughts. Once John and Marlena get back with the antidote she’ll be as good as new. Kayla is a doctor – she knows that not everyone gets their happy ending. Steve says they will. That’s what Kayla is fighting for.
Steve assures her that Stephanie is alright. Kayla says ‘your little sweetness.’ She asks him if he remembers Feb. 19th. Flashback to Stephanie’s birth. He says – the day Stephanie was born. Kayla says they had so many dreams – they all slipped away. Steve is going to try and make that right. Kayla wants to know – he has his memories back – is his heart? She wants him to promise her that if they won’t be a family again that he’ll stay in their lives. Patrick wants to know if Bo said something to Hope to make her act like this. Hope tells him about his police ID being found on Eve Michael’s bank statement. John and Roman were present when the paper was found. Patrick insinuates that Roman and John and the entire police force have it in for him. Hope says they wouldn’t be against him unless he was guilty of something. He insists he isn’t. Hope doesn’t want to believe it – he’s the father of her child. Patrick says and yes you know me. Hope admits she doesn’t. She slept with him, she conceived a child with him but she does not know him. She doesn’t know if he is guilty or innocent. Patrick wants to know what he has to do to convince her he’s innocent. There’s nothing he can do – there’s too many coincidences – they keep piling up. Patrick tries to say it’s because of Bo but Hope doesn’t believe that anymore. She told him if she thought for a second he was lying they couldn’t be together. Patrick insists he’s not lying. Hope doesn’t know that. She doesn’t trust him. She can’t live with that and she won’t. She can’t see him anymore.
Patrick tells her not to cut him out of her life. They have a baby on the way. She won’t keep him from his child. He can come to all the doctor’s appointments, he can be there for the birth, be a part of the child’s birth but as far as the two of them… Patrick can’t believe that they can’t be together because of some numbers scribbled on a piece of paper. Hope says no – but you can’t explain why they are there. He hasn’t told her anything. Maybe he’s not lying outright but he’s hiding something. That’s just as bad. Patrick asks her to go away with him – she wants to get to know him. Hope says no, it’s over. Please just leave me alone. She goes back into Stephanie’s room. Kayla asks Steve if he’ll stay close. He will – scouts honour. She says he was never in the scouts. He holds up his fingers and says then how do I know this. She taught him. She was in the Girl Scouts. She talks about the time they were lost in the wilderness. She built a shelter – he didn’t think she could. She wouldn’t let him come in until he apologised – it was raining. She falls asleep. He tells her she is going to beat this thing – scouts honour. Dr. Myers comes and tells Steve that John is on his way back with the antidote. He has to get Kayla to hang on for a couple more hours.
John & Marlena & The Great White North: John calls a Mayday to the Hamilton centre. He tells Marlena they are going down. She says they have to get the serum to Kayla. There is one thing they could do – one of them has to jump. John now calls his Mayday into the Toronto ‘centre’ – LOL. He tells Marlena that no one is jumping. She says if we decrease the weight the plane will be able to fly at a higher altitude. John says that’s right in theory but he doesn’t like the idea of jumping – they have no stunt doubles with them. John says there’s a problem with her plan. If he jumps who flies the plane. Marlena says we’re down to one option. She starts putting on a parachute. John says no way. Marlena insists that she has to jump.
John is going to make this brief – he has a lot on his plate. She is not going to jump. Here’s the plan. He’s going to put the plane down. All the snow should act as a buffer. He’ll activate the beacon and they’ll be rescued. Marlena adds – and in the meantime Kayla will die. She lists their options – none of them pretty. She thinks the best option is that she jump out, he gets the serum and they all live happily ever after. John says she can’t do this. Its dark, its freezing and they don’t know where the hell they are. Marlena has a GPS device on her cell phone – they can use that to track her location and send a rescue team. John says they are a team. He won’t argue anymore. He can’t risk losing the one person he loves the most in the world. Marlena says alright, it’s okay. John asks her if it’s settled. She says yes but then opens the door and jumps.
John is now on the ground in some small airport. He’s on the phone barking out orders – they have to find Marlena. He is sure he gave them the right co-ordinates. (Isn’t this the same man that told his wife that they had no clue where they were). He wants land and air crews looking for her. A guy brings in a cooler and tries to give John instructions – it has to be kept cold. John tells him to put it down – no time for the medicine now – he has to give the guy on the phone orders. And if that doesn’t work – he’ll pay the cost – bring in the Mounties if they have to. Just find her. Out in the stormy wilderness Marlena is hobbling along calling for help. She falls and checks her ankle – it’s only a sprain. She realises she lost her cell phone. She tries to get up but can’t – so she’s going to rest first and lays her bare head in the snow – yeah right … sheesh.
A guy comes in and tells John they can’t figure out what is wrong with his plane. John asks about the charter. It’s being fuelled – will be ready in ten. John wants to know about the search lights. Yes … but he’s going to have to fly low to use them. John wants to know if he’s spoken to Search & Rescue. Affirmative – no word on Dr. Evans. The guy comes back and tells him he’s set to go. They will radio him when they get any word on Dr. Evans. John thanks him. Marlena is lying in the snow sleeping when someone approaches. She wakes up and she sees a hooded figure holding an axe. She passes out. The axe comes down in the snow next to her.
Chez Rouge – Part 2: Bo joins Billie. She’s glad he’s there. She has something to tell him. Chelsea saw the two of them in bed together. Bo asks Billie if she set her straight. She tried to – she told her not to say anything. Bo hopes she doesn’t. He and Hope are beginning to patch things up. He tells her that Steve wants to talk to her. Billie doesn’t see the point – she doesn’t need to hear about how much he loves Kayla. Bo says that Steve wants to explain things. Billie knew the two of them were going to get back together. She’s not going to dwell on it. It hurts too much. She is not going to see him but the next time Bo sees him he can tell him that she wishes them all the best. Billie doesn’t want to talk about her any longer. Bo tells her that Hope asked him to move back in. Now all they have to do is get Kayla well. Chelsea comes rushing in – something terrible has happened. She was at the pub when Abe called Grandpa Shawn. He wanted to tell Grandpa and Grandma that John made it to Ottawa. Bo and Billie say that is good news – she said something bad had happened. Chelsea tells them that John made it, Marlena didn’t. She jumped out of the plane.
Preview: Hope to Bo – I meant it when I said I wanted you to come home. Bo – What are we going to do about Lockhart? Sami to John – How could you put her in danger again? How dare you come home without her? Marlena to stranger – Drop the hood. I want to get a look at you. The stranger complies. Marlena – Gasp – it’s you. Kayla to Steve – I will always love you as she takes her last breath.. Steve screams her name.

Pat’s Spoilers
Hospital: Kayla is struggling to breath. Stephanie turns to Frankie and Hope and comments about Kayla’s difficulties. Hope hugs her. Max and Mimi arrive. Frankie updates Max. They’re waiting for John to get the serum to the airport. Mom and Pop are on their way. They have to stay strong for Stephanie. Mimi comments that it seems like Steve is an amazing guy. Max tells her that Steve was the one that got Mom and Pop to adopt them – without him who knows where they would have ended up. Frankie adds that Steve didn’t just marry Kayla he married the entire Brady family. Max says that he was always there whenever anyone needed him. Frankie thinks maybe that is why Steve was sent back to them – to save Kayla. Kayla needs to go to sleep. Steve won’t let her – is she getting tired of looking at him. Steve is a good man – Kayla knew that from the moment she met him. He always thought he was a bum but he wasn’t. He was the sun and the moon and you shine … she cries. Steve says that was because of her. She has to hang on – John is on his way with the serum.
In an effort to keep Kayla awake Steve asks her about a poem or something from the bible that someone read to them at their wedding. Kayla says it was Bo. Steve asks if it was a Corinthians thing – he wants her to recite it. She can’t – too tired. He urges her to try – he has some of his memories. She has to help him with the rest. She starts the first line … she can barely talk. She wants to sleep. Steve tells her she can’t. She has to tell him the rest of that passage. She doesn’t remember. Kayla asks him to help her. He is so upset – he can’t remember. Then he starts to recite some of the lines. There’s more – he asks her to say the next line. She gasps out – love is forever, love does not come to an end (they say the line together). Kayla says – it sure doesn’t. I love you. I’ll always love you. She flatlines. Steve screams her name and yells for the nurse.
Dr. Myers asks how long Kayla has been asystolic – 40 minutes. Everyone is standing in the window watching and worried. Frankie wonders where Bo is. Hope says he’s on his way from the airport. Caroline and Shawn arrive. Hope tells them that Steve was talking to Kayla – her heart stopped. Caroline goes to the window and cries out to Kayla telling her it’s her mom, she has to wake up. The nurse says no pulse. Dr. Myers is calling it – 19:43. Steve hits him. The doctor is sorry – there is nothing they could do. Steve cries no – and hits the doctor again. He goes to Kayla and cries – no, Kayla, no. Max yells to Steve – you can’t give up – you can’t just let her die. Steve turns towards them all – he sees Stephanie crying. Bo rushes in – he’s got it. The roads were closed. He yells to the doctor that he has the serum. Caroline tells him it’s too late. Bo and Steve stare at each other. Bo shakes his head and says Steve … Steve says no and turns back to Kayla. He lifts her up and kisses her.
As Steve kisses Kayla he remembers their first kiss, the first time they made love and their wedding. Sigh – such beautiful flashbacks. Kayla opens her eyes. Dr. Myers says she’s got a rhythm, she’s back. The family celebrates. Steve welcomes Kayla back. Shawn hugs Caroline – their baby girl is back. Mimi comments to Max that they (Steve & Kayla) are lucky to have found love like that. Bo hugs Stephanie and tells her that her mom is going to be okay. Stephanie says you saved her. Bo disagrees – her Dad saved her – he kept her alive long enough to matter. Stephanie smiles – now they’ll get back together and they’ll all be a family. Frankie declares that it’s a miracle. Bo says yeah – like Ma always says – you just have to believe. Stephanie can use some fresh air. Frankie offers to go with her. Bo and Hope hug. Hope meant it when she said she still wanted him to come home that is if that is still what he wants. Bo says you know it is. What are we going to do about Lockhart?
Max comes back. Mimi is glad that he convinced his parents to get something to eat. He’s a very good son. Max shrugs – they make it easy. Mimi wishes she had role models like them. She misses being a Brady. She asks Max if he has ever found love like that, like Steve and Kayla’s and his parents. He hasn’t – his M.O. is to never get too attached. What about her. She thought she had it twice. First with Rex and then with Shawn but she screwed it up both times. Maybe she doesn’t deserve that kind of love. Max tells her not to think that way. Mimi doesn’t think Max knows her very well. Max says you were going to quit your job so Shawn could work at the garage. She saved his butt by taking the job in the first place. She’s totally there for him. She dropped everything to come to the hospital with him because he needed someone to be with him. That says a lot about what kind of person she is. Mimi says, you’re my friend. You were there when I needed someone – she will never forget that. Hope tells Bo that she told Patrick that he was moving home. Patrick wasn’t very happy about that but she doesn’t care. She explained to Patrick that as the baby’s father they will be in each other’s lives but only as parents – nothing else. Bo says nice and hugs her. He tells her he loves her.
Hope knows that Bo is thrilled that she isn’t going to see Patrick anymore but he’s going to go to doctor’s appointments with her. He’s going to be at the birth – he’s going to be part of the baby’s life. He won’t share in her life – she promises. Bo says understood. Hope tells him that he can’t fight with Patrick anymore. If he is behind these attacks then he is dangerous. She won’t risk losing him. Abe and Roman arrive. They tell Bo and Hope that Marlena is safe and John should be with her now. Roman asks how Kayla is. Bo tells him the serum is working. Abe wants to talk to Bo privately. Abe tells him about the plane being sabotaged. A calling card was left in the engine compartment – a black leather glove. Bo groans – the dynamic duo – Wells and Lockhart. Abe wants to get these bastards and he wants Bo in on the fight. Bo is in. Kayla says that she is so tired. Steve asks Dr. Myers if it’s okay if she sleeps now. He says yes. Kayla doesn’t want Steve to go anywhere. He is going to stay right there in case she needs another transfusion. She falls asleep. Steve asks Dr. Myers how Kayla is really doing – he doesn’t want him to pull any punches. The doctor says they are monitoring her lungs and vitals. With luck there hasn’t been any permanent damage. Steve wants to know how long before she recovers. The doctor says it will be a while but it looks like it’s going to happen. As a doctor every once in a while he witnesses something that defies medical explanation. What Steve accomplished today is a miracle. He needs to stay close to Kayla because he’s as important to her recovery as any medicine they can give her. Steve sits next to Kayla and says you’re stuck with me sweetness.
Kiriakis Mansion – Part 1: Belle is there to pick up Claire. Sami comes over. She updates Belle on what happened – to lighten the payload Marlena parachuted out of the plane. John made it to Ottawa okay but no one has any idea of where Mom is. Victor states that if they give him the co-ordinates he’ll have a chopper searching for her within the hour. Sami tells them that the search team is already out looking for her but so far nothing. Its night, it’s snowing, there’s 30 feet of snow on the ground and it’s below zero – no one can survive that. Sami tells Belle that John is on his way back to Salem airport. If anything happens to Mom she’s going to kill him. She’s going to the airport. Belle is going to go with her. She asks Victor to take care of Claire. Victor happily agrees. He takes Claire back to the secret room and the bandaged man.
Salem airport: John arrives with the cooler containing the serum. Bo grabs it – he’s out of there. John asks Abe about Marlena. Abe informs him that her parachute and cell phone were found – no sign of her. John asks about tracks. Roman tells him the storm covered them. Doc is strong and resourceful. She’ll make it through this. Abe agrees. John starts ranting about the conditions – Marlena thought the only way he would make it to Ottawa was jumping and before he could stop her she was freakin’ bailing out of the plane. Abe pulls out a fax he got from the maintenance dept. at the Ottawa airport. The Cessna was tampered with before they left Salem. It was sabotage. John wonders how anyone could have sabotaged the plane. Only a handful of people knew about it. He didn’t even take his jet. They flew out of Ogden. Abe tells him the mechanic found something in the engine compartment – a black leather glove.
John states that the black leather glove means one thing. Wells and Lockhart did it. They’re behind all of it and now he and Marlena are on their hit list. Abe thinks that is for an investigation to determine. John says screw the investigation. This is personal now. As soon as he finds Marlena he’s going to drop the both of them. Roman cautions him – he can’t go off half-cocked. Abe agrees. John barks – how calm would you be if it was Lexie missing. Marlena is out there in the middle of nowhere and god knows what danger she is in. Belle and Sami arrive at the airport. John tells Belle not to worry about her Mom, he’s going to find her. Sami tells him to give her a break. How could he put her in danger again? How dare he come home without her?
Roman tells Sami – enough. Sami steamrollers on – Mom is in danger because of John. Roman tells her that John is just as concerned about Marlena as she is. Sami wants to know why he isn’t out there looking for her. Why did he let her get on the plane in the first place? Why did he let her parachute? John replies that trying to stop her mother from doing something she is determined to do is a little bit like trying to stop her. Abe tells Sami that there are rescue teams scouring the area looking for her. Sami says they better find her and she had better be okay. Sami sits with Roman. She was so awful to her Mom the last time she saw her – they were fighting – Mom hates her. Roman tells her that Marlena may not like the things that she does but she would never hate her. She always loves her and he always does too. There’s a lesson to be learned here. Be careful how you treat the people you love because they can be taken away from you very quickly. Sami promises to be a good daughter to him and Mom. John tells Belle he wishes he hadn’t put off the wedding. Abe comes back. He heard from Bo – they got the serum to Kayla. He also had a message from the station. Marlena has been found – you’ll never guess who’s got her.
Mountain Cabin: Marlena is sleeping on a couch. She wakes up and hobbles to the phone. It’s dead. She has to get out. The hooded figure with the axe opens the door. Marlena grabs a poker from the fireplace and crouches behind the lamp. When she stands up she knocks a vase to the floor. It breaks – the hooded figure is startled. Marlena threatens the person. She doesn’t know who he is and who he is working for but they picked the wrong person to kidnap. She orders him to drop the axe and lose the hood. He takes it off. Marlena is surprised – it’s you. You’re Smokey Robinson. He jokes – were you expecting Neil Diamond?
Marlena introduces herself – she’s a huge fan. He’s encountered fans in a lot of strange places but unconscious in a snow drift is a first for him. He asks her how she ended up in the snow. She tells him she jumped out of a plane. He thinks that is pretty scary. Marlena says not as scary as waking up here not knowing who he is. She over-reacted – she thought the phone lines had been cut and then she saw him in the coat with the axe … He tells her the phone was knocked out by the storm, the coat is because baby it’s cold outside and the axe is because he was chopping wood. Marlena asks if she can borrow his cell phone to get hold of John. Smokey tells her it won’t do her any good – no signal. Smokey offers to make her something to eat. He tells her to make herself comfortable.
Marlena asks Smokey what he’s doing up here in a cabin in the mountains. He likes the quiet when he wants to write new songs. He’s working on some tracks for a new CD. He’s rehearsing some vocals for some TV appearances he has coming up. Marlena remembers that he is a Kennedy Centre honouree next month. She congratulates him. He wraps her ankle and autographs the tensor bandage. Marlena mentions that she has to get hold of John somehow. Smokey’s PDA works off radio broadband. He’ll try to email the Salem PD. Marlena asks him to send it to Abe Carver. He goes to get his PDA. Marlena hopes that John got the serum to Kayla in time. Marlena is dozing. She wakes up and John is there. Smokey plays the piano and sings. John asks Marlena to dance – she doesn’t have to worry about her ankle – her foot will never touch the floor.
Shawn’s apt. – Part 1: The music is blaring when Willow lets herself in with her key. Shawn doesn’t hear her calling him so she shuts the music off. She thought she’d put her stuff in the closet. Shawn hesitates and then says fine. Willow sarcastically offers to put it up on the roof so Belle and Claire don’t see it when they come over. Shawn’s sorry that he hurt her feelings earlier. Willow gets it. He doesn’t want her around when they’re here. Shawn says his daughter is very important to him. He wants her in his life and that means making sacrifices. Willow thinks she is the only one making sacrifices. Shawn is so sorry – he’ll make it up to starting now … he wants some action. Willow doesn’t think they should do that anymore. Shawn whines. If she isn’t good enough to be his girlfriend, if he’s embarrassed to tell people they are together, she won’t be his whore Willow declares.
Shawn never said that he didn’t want her to be his girlfriend or that he was embarrassed. Willow snorts – No, he just wants her to hide whenever someone comes around. From now on this is a business arrangement. She let him stay with her at the Y and now he’s repaying the debt. She’ll leave her stuff in the back closet and she’ll sleep on the couch. Shawn says she doesn’t have to do that. Willow isn’t listening – when Belle and Claire show up, she’ll be invisible. As soon as she gets enough money together he’ll be rid of her for good which is exactly what he wants. Shawn denies that. His phone rings – it’s Belle. Willow starts stomping across the room and Shawn proves what a liar he is by telling her to be quiet. Belle needs him to pick up Claire at Victor’s and take her back to his place. Something has happened to her mom. She doesn’t know if she’s okay – she’s on the way to the airport to see her dad. Willow asks him if she is staying or does she have to go into hiding. Shawn informs her that he is going to get Claire and it would be best if she wasn’t here when they got back.
Kiriakis Mansion – Part 2: Victor wasn’t expecting Shawn so soon. He just put Claire down for a nap. Shawn says if she sleeps now her bedtime will be thrown off. He asks if she is in the nursery. No, she’s down the hall – Victor wanted to hear her if she woke up. Shawn is going to get her. Victor says no. Shawn insists – he wants his face to be the first one Claire sees when she wakes up. Victor tells him he can’t let him do that. Claire may be Shawn’s daughter but this is still his house. Victor brings her out – she wasn’t asleep, just playing quietly. Shawn takes her and leaves. Victor goes back to the secret room. The man is holding a picture of Claire. Victor says don’t worry, she’ll be back. Victor knows that Claire isn’t being as affectionate as he’d like her to be. Not too worry. It’s going to take a little time to re-adjust and then she’ll be his again. Victor promises that no one will ever take her from you, Philip.
Shawn’s apt. – Part 2:Shawn thinks it’s amazing that all Marlena got is a sprained ankle. Sami asks how Aunt Kayla is doing. Shawn tells them that she’s getting better but not out of the woods yet. She’s going to be okay thanks to John and Marlena. Sami tells Belle they should get out of there, get Claire to bed and get the party ready. Shawn wants to know about the party. Belle tells him that they’re throwing a thank you party for her Mom and Dad at the Penthouse Grill. She hopes he’ll come. Shawn simpers – “I wouldn’t miss it.” Shawn warns Belle about Victor – something’s weird. Victor didn’t want him to go and get her. He tells Belle to keep an eye on him. She will. They leave. Willow returns. Shawn freaks – did Belle and Sami see her. Willow hid at the end of the hallway until they left. She asks if she can have a shower or should she take a bar of soap and stand under a rain gutter. She walks into the bathroom and slams the door.
Preview: Tek to Abe, Roman & John: I was going through EJ Wells’ bank statement and I found this. John – It will not only tell us who he is but why the hell he wants to destroy our lives. Hope to Bo – Possibly Steve and Kayla wouldn’t be together right now. Bo – It’s a turning point for us too. Kayla to Steve – Now that I know you remember I don’t want us to ever be apart again. John to Marlena – You and I aren’t innocent bystanders any more, Doc. This has become personal and I’m not walking away from it.

Janice’s Spoilers
Sami’s Apartment
Lucas and Sami are all over each other on the couch. Things heat up and clothes are being thrown this way and that. Lucas picks her up and she curls her legs around him as he leans her into the wall. Sami stops and Lucas asks her what the matter is. She tries to catch her breath and tells him she needs an answer. He wants to know what the question is...lol... Sami asks him what he wants. He tells her he wants her ...wants her naked... wants to make her happy...wants to make love all night long.
Lucas starts kissing her again but she tells him they have to talk...she can’t think with him so close to her. He tells her in a husky voice that every time they think it gets them into trouble. He just wants her. She answers that if it’s just a couple of hours of meaningless no-strings attached meaningless pleasure, then she is totally into that. They kiss a bit more when she stops again and tells him that if there is more than just sex between them then they have to talk about that too...but with their clothes on.
A frustrated Lucas gets dressed and asks her sheepishly if she has any idea what she is doing to him. Sami laughs and admits that it’s not like she wants to stand there and chat either. Lucas takes that as a good sign and wants to know why they are still vertical... lol... She tells him that they have to get a few things straight first and bursts out laughing when he tells her that he doesn’t think “it” can get any straighter than it already is. He wants her now....could take her right there and then... wants what he wants where he wants it. Sami asks about “why” and says until they are clear on the “why,” they aren’t doing “it” anywhere.
Lucas tells Sami that they are perfect for each other and that there should be chemistry books written about them... figures Sami can’t resist him either. They hug and she pinches him on the butt. He whines about it and she tells him she is just proving a point...it always starts like that and they end up hurting each other more than that pinch. She opens her heart to him and says: “I’ve cried myself to sleep too many times over you and I can’t keep doing it. If this was just about whipped cream or breaking the bed then we could go our separate ways and I would be cool with it.” She just wishes she was the cold-hearted bitch everyone thinks she is...then it would be easier. But she has this mushy heart with all these stupid feelings that spill out all over the place and she hates it.
Sami starts to cry. Lucas tries to comfort her...tells her that she has somewhere and someone. She asks him if he feels anything for her that doesn’t involve the lower part of his anatomy. He tells her she picked a hell of a time to put him on the spot. She gives up and starts taking her clothes off...says they should strike while the iron is hot...knows he doesn’t want to talk so they should just do it. Lucas pulls back this time and tells her to put her shirt back on. She tells him that she has good feelings for him and they have been getting stronger lately, but she’s scared because they have been there before and it has ended up in disaster. He argues that it wasn’t necessarily their fault...other people like his mom involved. They tease each other about who should be at the top of the list.
Sami asks Lucas if he thinks they can make it work this time...make them work. He wants her to understand that he has real feelings for her and it’s not about sex. His feelings run very deep and he doesn’t want to fight it anymore...wants to give it a go and try to make it work this time. She hugs him and he comments on how soft her skin is. She’s glad he understands that they can’t do “this” now. He looks confused and she tells him that she knows he is the most romantic man on the planet and they could go into the bedroom for a couple of hours for fun and games but that wouldn’t be as good as the commitment not to have sex now. Lucas gets a cute dejected look on his face and says: “No sex?” She hugs him and says that it would ruin their chance for a real relationship.
They kiss and Lucas is going crazy...lol... She’s glad he understands that they can’t be each other’s transitional relationship...can’t do this to Will...he deserves more. Lucas tells her he adores her. They kiss and he asks plaintively again: “Sex?” Sami laughs and he goes and takes a cold shower while she collapses on the couch.
Shawn’s Apartment
Shawn has Claire’s picture in his hand when Willow arrives and tells him that she has figured out the best hiding place for herself...top shelf of the closet whenever Belle comes over. He wonders how she will get down. She gives him a housewarming present...a baby monitory so he can hear Claire when he is watching television. He tells her that he still doesn’t have permission to have Claire overnight. Willow thinks it will still get him brownie points with Belle and that they can also use it as an early warning system so that Willow can jump out on the fire escape whenever Belle comes over.
Willow goes to take a shower. Hope arrives and tells Shawn that his dad is moving back in and they are trying to work things out. She knows that Zach is gone but says that family is very important...especially now that Shawn has Claire. Shawn just smiles at her. He asks her if she is breaking things off with Lockhart or if he will be a part of the happy family. Hope acknowledges that Patrick is the baby’s father but states that he will not be a part of the family. She tells him that his father has asked/ convinced her to give him another change... Just then Willow comes out in a bath towel and Hope is shocked. Willow says hi and goes to get some clothes. Hope isn’t impressed with Shawn’s attempt to be a responsible father...thought he had finally grown up.
Shawn argues that Willow just needed a place to crash until she saves enough to get her own place...he’s just trying to help her out the same way she helped him out. He reminds his mom that he’s paying child support for Claire and then goes on the attack. He angrily rags on Hope for her situation...asking his dad to move back in when she is having another man’s baby...wants her to clean up her own mess and stay the hell out of his. Hope just stares at him with a very hurt look and then grabs her coat and purse and walks out.
Willow tells Shawn she’s sorry that his mom found her there. He tells her it isn’t her fault and starts complaining about his mom...Belle and her rules...not being able to visit Max at the garage because his ex-wife got a job there...has to hide Willow as if he is ashamed of her...can’t talk about his job to anyone. He’s sick of it and wants his freaking life back. She asks him why he doesn’t just take it back...isn’t there something he has dreamed of having...besides time with his daughter. He tells her he wants a convertible with a snazzy engine et al. Willow is impressed and tells him to take his money and make his dreams come true. She leaves for work and tells him she will call before she returns. He kisses her on the cheek and thanks her for being so great. After she leaves, he pulls out a desk drawer and turns it over, rips off the envelope taped to it, pulls out his money and counts it.
Police Station Part I
E.J. barges into Abe’s office and complains about the bugs, cameras, and microphones he found all over his apartment. Abe suggests that if his place has been bugged...and he has the evidence...then he should fallow procedure and register a complaint with the desk sergeant. E.J. smiles sarcastically and tells him that he is going to sue the department for every penny in the county war chest. He rags on Bo and John next...calls John a James Bond undercover agent. Abe tries to get rid of him. E.J. threatens to go to the D.A. again. Abe smirks and tells him to go ahead...says he would pay to get E.J. on the witness stand.
E.J. wants to know about the evidence Abe has against him. Abe pushes him to talk to the D.A. E.J. thinks he is bluffing. Abe counters that E.J. has no evidence that the police department bugged his apartment...but he would love to put the file he has on E.J. on the public record if he still wants to go to court...suggests they chat about the DiMera Family. For a flicker of a second, E.J. looks shocked and then plays dumb. Abe suggests once more that he to go to the D.A. and tell him he wants to take Abe’s department to court... hopes E.J. is prepared to lose. Abe gets interrupted and leaves E.J. alone in the office to rifle through the papers on his desk. E.J. sees red when he picks up the Salem Trust file.
Brady Pub/Bank (I’m not going into this part too deeply/or the bank part because it really was pretty silly...sigh)
John and Bo are sitting in a booth with Bo looking up quadrants on a computer. Frankie comes in with false identification papers for both of them (Mr. Avery and Mr. Fuller) as well as documentation saying that E.J. is dead so they can look in his safe deposit box.
John takes the lead role at the bank. The female bank officer tells him he can’t see the box because the death certificate is unsigned. He tap dances and bluffs his way through telling her about the inappropriate behavior he has noted on the part of her staff...forces her hand. She gives in and then leaves them alone to look at the contents of the box. Inside are envelopes with Italian postmarks addressed to E.J...Italian tarot cards...a jester ...a high priestess. They take pictures and leave.
E.J. is at the bank now and very angry because his safety deposit box is gone. The bank officer is shocked to learn he is still alive. He runs into the room and opens the box...gets even angrier and slams the box shut. He goes out and starts ragging on the bank officer.
Chez Rouge
Lexie is sitting by herself when a drunken Tek appears by her side and wants to buy her a drink. She notes that he is drunk and reminds him about the restraining order against him...tells him he could lose his job. She tries to get him to leave...tells him she is ashamed of what they did together. He wonders why she got off so easy and he didn’t...says Abe humiliates him every day. She reminds him that she lost her job and reputation as a doctor, wife and mother and tries to leave herself but he stops her. Abe arrives and tells him to get away from his wife...orders him to go home and sleep it off. Tek refuses...rags on Abe and the department...tells Abe to fire him or kill him...starts to get belligerent. Abe knocks him down and tells the bartender to put him in a cab and send him home. He tells Tek that he’s fired. Abe turns and checks on Lexie. She tells him she is okay but is waiting for Hope to arrive. She asks him not to escalate things with Tek. He goes back to the police station.
Hope arrives and Lexie tells her about Tek. She also tells Hope that every hospital and clinic within a twenty mile radius has turned her down because of her unethical behavior both professionally and personally. Hope tells her she has found her a job taking care of Kayla as a private nurse. She tells Lexie that the hospital won’t release Kayla without one and that the Bradys are all for it. Lexie accepts and says she won’t let them down.
Police Department Part II
Abe gets back to find Frankie, John, and Bo in his office. He tells them about firing Tek and Bo tells him about the tarot cards from Italy. Abe ties them in with Dimera being from Italy and the ring Kate found at E.J.’s. He phones Celeste to translate the cards for them.
Previews
Frankie tells Shawn Sr. and Caroline that he hopes he can find what the two of them have. Shawn Sr. hopes he can too.
Bo lets Shawn know that the authorities are closing in on E.J. Wells and he doesn’t want him caught in the crossfire. He tells Shawn that he needs him to walk away.
Billie is upset and tells Hope: “So this is just an act. It’s been a lie. How can he do that to Kayla?”
Chelsea (as rude as ever) tells Nick to try his best not to come as a loser. Nick plays dumb and asks her if that means he shouldn’t come dressed in his turkey costume.

Pat’s Spoilers
Max’s Garage – Part 1: Belle walks in and demands that Max look at a picture in the newspaper. He does – he wants to know what he’s looking for. Belle points and wants to know if that is Philip. Belle explains that Kate thinks it’s Philip but Victor doesn’t. Neither does Max. Victor should be able to find out if Philip was back on active duty. So did Kate think that but Victor says he doesn’t know. Belle starts whining – it’s all about her … of course it is … duh. Max tells her that she couldn’t know he would leave town. She whines some more – what if he endangers his life – what will she tell her daughter. She has to find out. Max says they should ask two others that knew Philip well – Shawn and Mimi.
Kiriakis Mansion: Philip is in pain. Victor tells him not to worry, he’ll help him. Victor has helped him from the wheel chair to the bed – he wants to know if he’s feeling better. Philip touches a picture of Claire. Victor knows that only Claire can make him feel better. He’s working on a plan to make his dream come true but it’s going to take time and finesse. His presence here is going to have to remain a secret. A nurse comes in and gives Philip an injection for the pain. Victor asks for her discretion. Victor tells Philip to go to sleep and dream about holding his little girl in his arms and he’ll work on making it happen.
Chez Rouge: Maggie thanks Mimi, Abby, Nick and Chelsea for all the help decorating – nothing like the holiday spirit. Chelsea grumbles. Maggie gives Nick an envelope – it’s an invitation from Shawn and Caroline to join them for Thanksgiving dinner. They will be forever thankful to him for saving Kayla’s life. Abby explains to a disbelieving Chelsea that Nick found a lab in Canada that made a drug Kayla’s body wouldn’t reject. Aunt Maggie is so proud of him. Mimi is feeling down – it’s not like she expected to be invited to her ex’s family Thanksgiving. Chelsea wants Abby to forget about Nick the geek and Mimi the loser and focus on her – she’s Bo Brady’s daughter and she didn’t get invited. She rants. Abby thinks Bo is upset with Chelsea for always trying to push him and her mother together. Chelsea wants to know what is so wrong with wanting her parents to get along. Maggie steps in and gives her opinion. Maggie leaves to take care of some reservations. Mimi tells Chelsea that she loved being a Brady for the two seconds it lasted but they are not one big happy family all of the time. As for her family – freezer burnt TV dinners is what they’ll get for a Thanksgiving meal. Chelsea says at least you have a mom that loves you enough to help you get whatever you want and a dad that doesn’t hate your guts. Abby informs Chelsea that Mimi doesn’t even know where his dad is. Nick thinks Chelsea needs to get her own life together than maybe she would stop obsessing about what her parents are doing.
Chelsea doesn’t think Nick has any right to talk to her like that. Her parents died in a car accident and all she wants is to have another real family. Nick asks if she is 19 – she is. He tells her she should be working, or going to college. She should be living on her own with a friend, even a boyfriend – if she had that then she wouldn’t be chewing her fingernails down to her elbows over what her parents are doing. If they don’t want to be together, that’s just the way it is. Get over it! Chelsea turns on the tears. Nick apologises – it’s really not his place to tell her how to live her life. She agrees. She wants him to stay away from her. Abby tells Chelsea that Nick is just trying to help. Chelsea goes back to Nick and tells him to solve her problem. How can she get her dad to invite her to the Thanksgiving celebration. Nick says she can come as his guest. Chelsea says hmm … crashing my Dad’s party on the arm of a geek. Nick asks if she is talking to him because he can always change his mind. Chelsea advises him to turn down the invitation – everyone might hate him. Nick doubts it – he’s a hero – no one will say a negative word to him. She could use this opportunity to talk to her dad, be nice to Hope and whine a little less than she usually does. Chelsea declares this sucks – she’ll go with him – try his best to not dress like a loser. Abby wants to know why Nick likes Chelsea. Nick finds her exciting – she’s emotional, angry and maybe dangerous – he likes that. Nick asks Abby to help him get his hair and clothes straightened out. Abby agrees to try.,
Shawn’s apt: I’m not going into a lot of detail on the Shawn/Bo scenes. Yesterday Shawn showed how little respect he has for his parents by the way he talked to his mother. The way Shawn speaks to his father is downright disrespectful and so immature – Bo wants to bring down EJ because he (Shawn) answers to him and not Bo. Yeah right Shawn – because after all you’re soooooooo smart! Shawn made his motivation crystal clear today when his father tells him to quit working for EJ. He needs the money to take care of Claire and Belle – he has to impress Belle so she’ll trust him again. This isn’t about Claire – it’s all about Belle. Shawn absolutely dismisses Bo’s and the Salem PD’s accusation that EJ is responsible for the gloved hand crimes. Shawn shows how idiotic he is by talking to Bo like Bo was the one that was missing the majority of his brain cells when Bo tells him that EJ may try to get back at him by hurting Shawn. Shawn declares that would never happen.
Mythic Communications: Kate walks into an office to find out that EJ is doing a live broadcast. She’s upset that he didn’t talk to her first. EJ is going to rescue his reputation from the smear campaign the Salem PD has mounted against him. He tells her to watch it and hear his side of the story. After the press conference EJ asks Kate if she ransacked his apartment at John’s request. They’re business partners, and partners in many ways. Surely she knows what kind of man he is. Kate admits that John thought she would find incriminating evidence in his apartment. She was hoping she wouldn’t. EJ knows she took a ring. It’s a fraternity ring – it only has sentimental value. Kate tells him John thinks the ring links him to the DiMera’s. EJ denies it. Kate admits that Stefano DiMera was apart of her life once – a time she doesn’t want to revisit. EJ realises she is afraid of the DiMera’s. He insists that he has done nothing wrong – he doesn’t know the DiMera’s. He hopes that when his name is cleared that they can go back to being friends.
Brady Pub: Grandpa Shawn comes back with two extra turkeys. Caroline can’t remember the last time they had such a big family celebration. Shawn says that they have so much to be grateful for. Stephanie and Kayla are well and Steve is back in the family fold – it’s almost too good to be true. Frankie sits at the bar. He has some news for Mom and Pop. He’s been offered a job in DC and he’s accepted. Caroline wants to know when he is going to leave. He says soon. He wants to get away from the memories here. Caroline says – memories of Jennifer. Shawn thinks he’s running away. Frankie explains he got a job offer. The money is huge. He loved DC before – he’s just going to pick up where he left off. Shawn says the one thing you won’t have in Washington – your family to support you. Frankie thinks that once he gets settled he can focus more on his personal life – he might meet someone. He just hopes that he can find what the two of them have. He wants their blessing. Caroline says they will certainly support him but it’s going to break their hearts when he goes. Frankie will tell the family at Thanksgiving. Caroline wants him to remember two things. One to take very good care of himself, and two, his home is just around the corner. They’ll be waiting for him with open arms. Hugs are exchanged.
Billie arrives to talk to Hope. This will be very brief – I couldn’t get into Hope having to play matchmaker for Steve and Billie. Billie doesn’t want to hear any messages from Steve. Hope tells her the truth. Steve doesn’t remember. He got a few memories but there is no emotional connection. Billie pretends to be appalled that Steve lied to Kayla and she can’t understand why Hope is telling her this – she’s supposed to be Kayla’s friend. Hope is Steve’s friend and she’s doing him a favour – he is responsible for keeping Kayla alive. He lied to Kayla to give her a reason to live. Hope thinks Billie should talk to him because they have unfinished business – it should be resolved. Billie thinks Hope is pushing this because she is afraid that Billie and Bo might still get together. Hope tells her that Bo has moved back home. Billie still pretends to be upset that Steve would lie to Kayla – she thanks Hope and leaves. She steps outside and smiles with glee – she gets to break up another couple – she’s so happy with herself!
Salem PD: In Roman’s office Abe tells Celeste they don’t know what the cards say because they’re in Italian. (He has the pictures of the cards spread out on the desk). He wants to know if she can help. Celeste stares at the cards. She doesn’t know the significance of the cards to EJ. They’re tarot cards – they have a lot of powers but outside of a reading they tell her nothing. Abe insists they have to know what they mean. Celeste says the cards have certain implications but you can’t just point to one and say it means this. Abe asks her if she is afraid of someone. Roman sticks his head in the office and tells Abe he has to come and see this. EJ is giving his press statement. He rails against the Salem PD listing all their wrongdoings. He is taking action to restore his good name. EJ’s lawyer announces that they’ve launched a 40 million dollar law suit against the Salem PD and 4 co-respondents, Commissioner Abe Carver, Commander Roman Brady, suspended police detective Bo Brady and John Black. Bo walks in and asks him what is going on. Roman says they have trouble and brings Bo up to speed. Bo thinks he’s bluffing. Abe says no, EJ’s calling my bluff. He should have never let John and Bo break into EJ’s safe deposit box. Bo tells him to calm down, they know EJ is guilty. Abe reminds Bo that he is not the one that has to answer to a higher authority. Abe gets informed that Assistant DA Bettis is on her way up and she’s not happy.
DA Bettis looks at the file on EJ Wells for 2 seconds and then declares that it looks like EJ Wells has a solid case. Heads are going to roll this time and she can’t do anything about it. Abe and Bo and Roman are in the office. Bo thinks it was bad luck that EJ showed up at the bank when he did. Roman thinks they better nail EJ quickly. EJ and his lawyer walk in. The lawyer states that EJ will drop the lawsuit if the following conditions are met: the investigation against Mr. Wells is dropped, the case file is turned over to them and Roman and Abe go on the air and publicly announce that EJ Wells is not a suspect. They must state that there in no evidence against Mr. Wells and admit they acted hastily and without proper authorization. Bo states no way. Abe doesn’t think they can do that. The lawyer gives him three minutes to think about it. Abe excuses himself and goes out to talk to Celeste. Can she guess what the cards mean. He needs something to fight with so that scum doesn’t walk away scott –free. EJ opens the blinds in the office and stares at Celeste. She tells Abe she can’t help him. Abe and Roman appear on camera and Roman says what the lawyer asked them to say. Abe hopes this will get EJ’s lawyer off their back. Bo isn’t happy. Kate waltzes in – she’s never going to trust John or Roman again. DA Bettis returns and warns them to stay away from EJ Wells. If they screw up again – she’s cleaning house. Bo asks Abe – you’re not going to let the DA’s office have the last word, are you? Abe tells him – it’s over.
Max’s Garage – Part 2: Mimi looks at the picture. She wonders if they would let Philip back into the military with a prosthetic leg. Belle expounds that as long as he’s able and willing to fight they’ll find a place for him and that terrifies her. Shawn doesn’t know why – it’s Philip decision and a selfish one at that because now he has people worried about him. He went to save him once he won’t do it again. Belle doesn’t know how Shawn can talk about his best friend like that. Shawn goes on to say Philip is selfish because he grew up with money and power – he has Victor Kiriakis behind him. Belle lectures Shawn as to the reasons why Philip went back to war – it wasn’t because he wanted to see what he could to do to hurt Shawn and Belle. Shawn whines – he walked out on Claire. Belle flounces out – she obviously made a mistake … Shawn goes trailing after her like a lost puppy. Mimi follows them – she tells Max even though they both hate her she wants to make sure they don’t kill each other. Shawn grovels and whines and uses Claire as an excuse. He is going to prove to Belle that it’s best that he is in her (Belle’s) life full time. Belle asked him to have a little compassion for a man who had his heart broken by everyone he loves and instead Shawn is acting all jealous because if Philip comes back he might get in Shawn’s way with Claire and with her too. She tells him to grow up and stomps off. He trails after her again. Mimi goes back into the office. She wants Max to help her find Philip. He asks how. She thinks they should try and track down the photographer that took the picture. He might know if it’s Philip. Max wants to know why this is important to her. She feels responsible for Philip leaving too. If they can find him and let his family know he’s okay she can feel like she has sort of redeemed herself.
Diner: Billie informs Chelsea that Steve doesn’t have his memory back. Chelsea makes several disparaging remarks about Steve. Billie tells Chelsea that Kate is having Thanksgiving dinner catered in her hotel room. She asks her to join them. Chelsea lies and tells her that Bo invited her to Thanksgiving dinner with the Brady’s.
Outside (location unknown) Celeste drops her purse. EJ picks it up and asks her what she told them. She answers nothing. He tells her to keep her mouth shut. She’s part of this family too.
Preview: Billie to Nick – I’m Billie, Chelsea’s mom and you are … Nick (without his glasses goes to lean on a railing, misses it and falls, gets up) – Never better. Hope to Bo – You should have talked to me about the investigation. Bo – I didn’t want to push it. Hope – Then I’ll push it … back in my bed. Stephanie to Steve – We are going to be so happy. You, me and mom, a family. Celeste to Abe and Lexie – One family has caused all that pain – the DiMera’s.

Now I’m asking. Celeste’s answer is the same – no.
Lexie reminds Celeste of what she once told her – being brave means doing the right thing even if you’re scared. Celeste is going to leave. Lexie says if you won’t do it for me do it for Theo. Abe lists all the things that happened and asks how he can ignore that. Celeste tells him to think of those that count on him – his family. Abe is thinking of them. Kate thinks that’s an impressive way to get to get what she wants. Billie asks if Nick knows why Chelsea may not be welcome there. Chelsea doesn’t think that it’s any of his business. Billie disagrees. This is Bo and Hope’s first Thanksgiving without Zack – Chelsea needs to be sensitive to what they may be feeling. Mimi explains that they saw a picture of some Marines shipping out and one looked like Philip. Max says they left the guy several messages but he hasn’t returned their calls. Nick tells to leave a message he can’t resist – like they’re a rep from a journalism school that’s giving out prize money for war coverage. Mimi mentions that she’s not supposed to lie. Max will do it. Steve and Kayla arrive (she’s in a wheelchair). Stephanie hugs her dad. They are going to be so happy – a family.
Frankie takes a family picture of Steve, Stephanie and Kayla. Kayla is pretty weak – she didn’t know if she could make it but with Steve by her side she can do anything. She thanks them all for being the best family anyone could have. Bo says that she is home for Thanksgiving because of Nick – Bo makes a toast to him. Nick makes a bit of a joke but then goes on to say that he didn’t save Kayla’s life, they all did. The family never stopped praying. He’s used to science coming to the rescue – he never saw love pull someone back from the edge. He reads a nice quote about families. After he’s done he tells them that this is his first Thanksgiving apart from his parents. It’s incredible to be part of such a wonderful family even if it’s just for a day. He gets hugs … Chelsea is in tears. She has been trying to get her family to accept her and they just welcome him in like he’s some long lost brother. Nick explains that they are just relieved – he mentions Kayla and that this is Bo and Hope’s first Thanksgiving without Zack. Chelsea says don’t you think I know that. She feels terrible every time she looks at them. Nick asks her how anyone can know how she feels – she never tells them. Chelsea goes to Hope. She is glad that Kayla is okay – she knows it’s her fault that Zack isn’t here – she’s sorry. She starts to say more but Steve interrupts. He wants to talk to Hope outside. Hope walks out with him. Chelsea tells Nick she hates this family and leaves, crying.
Outside the pub Steve asks Hope if she called Billie. Hope says she told her everything. Billie wonders how Kayla and Stephanie are going to react when they find out the truth. Steve callously says he’ll have to deal with that. Hope tells Steve that Billie still cares for him. She asks him if this is going to continue – she plays the go-between between him and Billie while he plays the devoted husband and family man. She wants him to face the problem – he has to figure out a way to tell Kayla and Stephanie the truth without breaking their hearts. Steve will – he asks Hope not to say anything about Billie. He asks if he can use her phone. At the end of his conversation with Billie he says I miss you. Stephanie asks him who he misses. Steve lies and says his brother. They go inside for dinner. Frankie has an announcement. He’s going back to D.C. He loves them, he’ll miss them – he’s not going away forever. Max will miss him. Steve tells Hope he can’t keep lying to them forever. This was supposed to be a temporary fix not a lifetime deal. Kayla speaks next about families – it’s very nice. She feels so blessed.
Kate’s suite – Part 2: Billie answers a call from Steve. He wants to see her tomorrow. She’s not sure. He knows she is confused – so is he. He just wants to explain. She agrees to meet him. Kate is happy that Billie is winning. Billie tells her it’s not a competition. Kate says of course it is – it’s going to get dirty – but Kate is betting on Billie – winner take all. Billie smiles. Chelsea barges in. She hates them all – most of all she hates Hope. She tried to be nice to them. She told Hope she was sorry but she just ignored her and went off with the pirate. Kate asks if he was the ever dutiful husband. Chelsea says he never left Kayla’s side. Kate informs her that he must have because he phoned Billie. Billie tells her that Steve wants to see her. Chelsea says you were in bed with dad – you were practically reunited. Billie insists nothing happened. Chelsea says it could have. Billie says they could have gone farther but they both decided not to let it happen. Chelsea says no you decided because you’re holding out for the one-eyed pirate. He’s never going to leave his wife for you. Chelsea says when you passed on you and dad you didn’t just pass on the two of you – you passed on all of us. Billie doesn’t want to be married to her father. Chelsea says – fine. Just think of yourself – you always do. Kate says enough and sends her out of the room. Chelsea heads into the bedroom. Kate tells Billie the girl has to grow up. Every time she doesn’t get what she wants … Billie interrupts and reminds Kate that she was the one that advised Chelsea to go after what she wants and to do whatever it takes to get it. Chelsea wants her father to love her, her father to love me and god help anyone that gets in her way. Chelsea looks at the picture on her phone – all she has to do is send it to Hope and Steve and they’ll know her parents can’t stay away from each other – that they belong together. She sits at the computer and sends the photo.

Janice’s Spoilers
Personal Comment: I know I will be in the minority, but I believe that the character of Belle was written better today. As often as I have complained about her selfishness in the past, I don’t think I can rightfully complain when they have her taking responsibility for how she treated Philip, the way she is treating Shawn, and for being concerned for how all this is affecting Claire...which is what I saw happen today. Doesn’t make me a fan of the character but it was nice to watch finally.jmo
Black Penthouse Part I
Belle looks at the newspaper as Marlena comes downstairs talking about how Claire loves the magnetic letters they got her. She sees that Belle is upset and asks her what is wrong. Belle shows her mom the photo of the marines and tells her that she can’t stop thinking about Philip...wonders if Philip deliberately re-enlisted and put himself in danger because he is upset about losing Claire or mad at her. Marlena can’t imagine the marines letting Philip go back on active duty but thinks he is responsible for his actions. Belle wants to know who is responsible for her own decisions...she has hurt Philip as badly as she could and if he gets hurt in action it will be because of her...she also feels bad for the way she is taking out her anger on Shawn.
While Belle thinks it’s her fault that Philip left, Marlena thinks there were a lot of reasons. Belle reminds her mom that she is still Philip’s wife and wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him taking excellent care of her and Claire. She knows Claire is confused and been through so much...still thinks of Philip as her daddy. Belle talks about how she wouldn’t let Shawn see Claire on Thanksgiving...thought she was doing what was best at the time. Marlena tries to comfort her. Belle thinks the only reason she has been strong and resilient is because she had a strong family...thinks she and Shawn won’t be together at this rate.
Belle thinks she really screwed up...she left her husband and has put so many demands on Shawn so he could spend time with Claire...doesn’t think she should criticize Shawn for not having a job when she doesn’t have one herself. Marlena disagrees...thinks the most important job is being a loving mother to Claire and staying at home with her. Belle counters that the only reason she can afford to do that is because she is dependent on her parents. Marlena tells her they are glad they can help her financially...but what is wrong is for Claire not to have both of her parents.
Belle calls Shawn and asks him to come over and see Claire before her nap time and then afterwards they can talk. She hangs up and Marlena tells her she is proud of her...it was the right thing to do. Belle thinks she screwed up her marriage to Philip and doesn’t want to make the same mistakes with Shawn. She gets a call from Max asking her to come to the garage, tells Marlena not to tell Shawn where she went but to let him spend as much time as he wants with Claire, and rushes out.
Shawn’s Apartment Part I:
Willow brings in coffee and suggests they go back to bed. He’s glad she changed her mind about sleeping with him. She wonders if she should hide in the closet in case Belle drops by. He doesn’t think Belle will because she doesn’t want anything to do with him. He talks about Belle not letting him spend any time with Claire on Thanksgiving and that no matter what he does, Belle still hates him. He just wants to be a father to his daughter. Willow clues in that this is more about him loving Belle than being with Claire and that he thinks he has to live up to her standards, but thinks that as far as Belle is concerned, no one will ever be good enough for her...
Bo shows up and Willow cheerfully asks him how his Thanksgiving was. He answers in monosyllables. She goes to get dressed. Shawn figures Bo is there to rag on his job with E.J. again. Bo starts in about how disappointed everyone was that Shawn didn’t show up for Thanksgiving. Shawn rags on how he has better things to do than go to a dysfunctional Brady brunch. Bo rags on Shawn’s “hooker” girlfriend...tells Shawn if he was smart, he’d send her packing and work things out with the mother of his child. He tells him that E.J. is a criminal...dirty money. Shawn backtalks about Roman exonerating E.J. on television. Bo argues that it was done to avoid a lawsuit. His cell phone rings... he leaves with a few more dire warnings to Shawn.
Willow returns and tells him that the only thing wrong with his life is that he is giving practically every cent he makes to a woman who makes him jump through hoops so he can see his kid...thinks he should get the convertible. They start kissing and the phone rings. It’s Belle (see above section). Willow thinks Belle is messing with his head. He leaves.
Photographer’s Apartment in Chicago
Mimi and Max walk into the unlocked apartment looking for Art Fisher. He’s on the phone, gets off and tells them he doesn’t do weddings. Mimi and Max smile, slightly embarrassed, and tell him that’s not exactly why they are there. Max tries to go with their story about the award but Mimi blurts out the truth...thinks their friend is in the picture...he’s missing and they have to find him. He tells them to forget it and tries to show them the door. Max reasons that the story could be worth a lot of money...their friend’s father is filthy rich. Art remembers a guy with prosthesis but says his name was Andrew Spivey from Muskogee, Oklahoma. He tells them they can have the pictures for $20.00 a piece. He goes into another room and Max and Mimi look at the bigger pictures. Mimi is sure it is Philip. Max throws $20.00 on the table and they take a photo and go.
Max’s Garage
Belle runs in and Max tells her about the photographer and Andrew Spivey being Philip. Mimi thinks Philip is using an alias. Max shows Belle the photo and confirms that he thinks he was shipped off to Afghanistan. Belle is upset...what if he gets killed this time because he has nothing to come home to...how does she tell her daughter that her daddy is dead because of her.
A remorseful Mimi tells Belle that it’s just as much her fault...even more her fault than Belle’s. Max says it doesn’t matter who’s at fault because they are going to find out what happened to Philip. Mimi thinks maybe they should show the photograph to Victor but Belle says she doesn’t trust him. She thinks they can do it on their own...wants to tell Philip to come home to his family. She leaves to get back to Claire. Max tells Mimi that if Belle finds Philip and tells him to come home, it won’t make Shawn happy.
Black Penthouse Part II:
Marlena welcomes Shawn and tells him about Belle leaving but that he can spend all the time he wants with Claire. He tells her he bought a book for Claire. Marlena thinks she will love it. He hopes Belle likes it too...knows she’s not really into fairytales with happy endings these days...thinks she doesn’t really want him to be one of those people who care about her. Marlena tells him that Belle does care a lot but is having a hard time accepting help from others at the moment.
Shawn is cuddling Claire on his lap. He tells Marlena that he has to go but wants to know if Belle really told her that she cares about him...doesn’t understand why she told him she didn’t want him in her life anymore. Marlena goes on mother’s intuition and says that she knows how Belle feels and that they are both hurting... have had a special relationship in the past and believes that if they are meant to be together then they will somehow find their way back together. Shawn argues that Belle isn’t thinking like that...she’s thinking about Philip. He doesn’t want to waste anymore of his life waiting for Belle to make up her mind...already did that once...but he will be Claire’s daddy. He tells Claire that he will be there for her, gives her a kiss on the cheek, and hands her back to her grandmother. He leaves.
Belle comes back and Marlena tells her she just missed Shawn. Belle asks how Claire is and tells her mom about seeing Max and Mimi and about Philip re-enlisting. She thinks he has suffered enough and needs him to come home.
Shawn’s Apartment Part II
Shawn tells Willow that Belle was AWOL. Willow thinks he should stop letting her jerk him around. He agrees and decides to live for himself and start by getting a convertible. Willow suggests designer clothes or a new apartment or yacht. He adds a Lear jet to the list, turns off his phone and pulls her onto the couch for a make-out session.
Kiriakis Mansion
Victor welcomes Dr. Weinstein from Montreal...is sure he is the best of the best. The doctor warns him that he has little time for his surgical practice and doesn’t do vanity surgery, what with his research et al. Victor tells him it’s not vanity surgery and tells him about Philip and his marine history...jeep was firebombed and his face is unrecognizable now...needs a face transplant. He takes him to meet Philip...tells Philip the doctor is going to help him make a complete recovery...and leaves. The doctor wants to examine Philip and starts by gently removing his bandages...off camera.
Outside the room, Victor is talking to the photographer who tells him about Mimi and Max’s visit. Victor isn’t a happy camper. He tells the guy that he will take care of it and that no one can find out the truth about Philip. Later, the doctor tells Victor that he can try to help Philip but it won’t be easy and he won’t make any promises because face transplants are highly experimental and very expensive. Besides which there is a long waiting list. Victor throws a cheque at the guy and tells him to move Philip to the top of the list and do whatever it takes to help him get his life back. He says it’s a first payment and should fund the doctor’s research for a long time.
Victor goes back to Philip and tells him that Dr. Weinstein is one of the best surgeons and will help him...thinks that once Philip gets better, they will take Claire away from Shawn and Belle who don’t deserve that precious little girl.
Carter House
Celeste arrives. Abe was worried she would change her mind. Roman hopes she will help them nail E.J. She tells them about the disturbing dream she had last night and doesn’t want to put Lexie and Theo at risk. She has decided to help them if they promise to protect Lexie and Theo. Roman shows her the pictures of the tarot cards and tells her they are in exactly the same order as they were found in the safety deposit box. She thinks the photographs are producing disturbing vibrations and wonders what the real cards would do....talks about the terrible calamities for those who have crossed the bearer of the cards...E.J. is the chariot...victorious and in control...started by upsetting relationships, disrupting marriages, blackmail...each new incident brings worst consequences...terrible danger.
She tells them that it is complicated and shows them the Empress who represents motherhood and abundance, but is coupled by the five of clubs representing loss. The guys guess what it could mean...embryo switch maybe. Celeste says that Belle brings up a much stronger vibration than Mimi...shows the hangman...figures it’s Philip who lost a leg and his daughter. Abe is frustrated. She argues that she can’t give them incontrovertible/specific answers and is risking life and limb to help them. Abe picks up on that and asks her if she has been threatened by E.J. and the Dimeras.
Bo turns up and thanks Celeste for helping them. She lays the cards out and talks about Carrie’s marriage to Lucas and Sami’s engagement to Austin...all tainted by the three swords...bringing heartbreak and loneliness. She talks about “temperance” accompanied by the five pentacles which represent illness and sacrifice. Roman thinks it suggests Steve and Kayla. Another card gets turned over...the “tower” representing a downfall. Roman figures that represents John and Marlena’s plane. Abe wonders who sent the cards that according to Celeste seem to be coded instructions. He asks her what the future shows in the cards. She talks about seeing many untold calamities...lies, betrayal, kidnapping, adultery, and disappearances. She is worried that one card is missing and it is on its way from Italy...may have arrived already...it’s the death card and that is the future.
Abe thinks it already happened with Eve Michaels. Celeste doesn’t agree. Eve was a stranger and she sees this death as being about someone they all care about. She’s sorry she can’t be more specific. Abe surmises that E.J. will be instructed to commit the murder when he gets the death card. Roman asks who is sending the cards. Celeste looks out the window and tells them that they don’t need her or the cards to tell them that...this is family versus family. Roman figures it’s the Dimeras versus the Bradys...all out war. He wonders which one... Stefano is dead and Tony is in prison. Bo comments on how they always rise from the dead with a new head. Abe asks Celeste if E.J. Wells is a Dimera. She tells him he must be. Abe wants to stop him before he gets the card and acts on it.
Bo tells them they can’t just sit back and let the Dimeras come after them again. Celeste won’t write a statement for them. She leaves. Abe doesn’t think the D.A. will bring a case against Wells with photos of tarot cards and ghost stories from an anonymous source, especially after their embarrassing press conference. Bo wants to call John... insists that despite Marlena’s concerns, John is a Dimera and the only one that can help them before someone they love ends up dead.

Janice’s Spoilers
Police Department
John is cynical about Celeste’s ability to tell them what is going on with the Dimeras. Roman tells him that someone is sending E.J. cards one by one with instructions and he and Abe are worried about the death card. It has put them on high alert. Abe explains that Celeste has confirmed that E.J. is a Dimera and on a family mission with the sole purpose being to destroy the Bradys. John reminds them about the press conference exonerating E.J. Roman and Abe tell him that now the investigation just has to go underground. John still isn’t impressed and thinks they have nothing. Roman says they have John and he’s a Dimera himself. John clues in but also reminds them that everyone thinks that Stefano is dead and Tony is in prison. Abe pleads for his help.
John thinks it’s funny that they turned down his help before but now they want him to infiltrate...go to Italy and muck around in the family swamp. Roman knows that John wants to nail E.J. Wells as much as they do for sabotaging the plane. John lays it out for them. They keep reminding him that he’s not in law enforcement anymore but they expect him to take on the Dimera Cartel on their home turf without knowing who or what he is going up against. He tells them he won’t do this to his wife.
John admits that he promised Marlena that he would stay out of the investigation. Roman thinks he should make up an excuse for her. Both Roman and Abe believe that the Dimeras could finally win if John doesn’t help them out. John finally agrees... knows that it’s all up to him...that when it comes to the Dimeras that’s his turf...he knows how they think and operate...decides he is going to Italy and if there is a link between E.J., Tony, and Stefano, he will find it. Abe thanks him. John makes them swear that they won’t tell anyone, especially Marlena. They press knuckles together and promise.

Mimi asks Patrick what happened. Patrick tells her that Bo came to the house and beat him up for no reason. Mimi says let’s be honest – you had it coming. Shawn urges Hope to read the letter. The letter is very good. He talks about the two of them being on an adventure since he took her from the church where she was going to marry Larry Welch. She put her faith in him from that day forward. He’s asking for that faith again. He’s asking her to believe that he never laid a hand on Patrick. He wouldn’t risk their marriage over Patrick. She knows what kind of man he is, hot-headed and stubborn but not stupid. He asks her to give him the benefit of the doubt so they can continue on the ride of a lifetime. Shawn asks her what she is going to do.
Patrick doesn’t understand how Mimi can say he had it coming. He was sitting there minding his own business – Bo came in swinging – he couldn’t even defend himself. Mimi knows that Patrick is into some heavy stuff – he’s passing secret notes to EJ through Shawn. She has no clue what Patrick is involved in. All she knows is that he’s been slobbering all over Bo’s wife and running his kid around town like he’s his personal slave. That’s bound to upset some people. Mom may believe his ‘I’m a victim’ sob story but Mimi doesn’t. Hope tells Shawn that his dad is going to have to deal with this on his own. Shawn says but they’re going to toss him in jail. Hope thinks Bo is his own worse enemy – she can’t do it anymore. Shawn tells her she can’t just turn her back on him. He thinks Patrick is lying. Hope says that she is having Patrick’s baby. He’s not going away anytime soon. Is she supposed to play referee between Bo and Patrick for the next 18 years. She can’t do it – she’s finished with his father.
Patrick wonders why Mimi bothered to come if she thinks he deserved it. Mimi is worried about him. He shouldn’t be involved in things that end up putting him in the hospital. Patrick lies and since what he does for EJ is business – just auto racing business. Patrick is in pain – he doesn’t want to get into this with Mimi. She says is that because I’m right. Patrick wants to rest. Mimi says he may get more rest than he bargained for if he doesn’t get himself out of whatever he’s involved in. Patrick wants her to leave. Mimi tells him to take care of himself. Patrick asks her to pass him his pants. He cashed in some investments and he has a lot of cash in his pocket. He realises the money is gone. One of the nurses is a thief. Mimi’s cell rings. It’s Max. Shawn says – so that’s it – your marriage is over. Are you just going to move his stuff out again. Hope doesn’t know. All she knows is that she can’t listen to his father once again ask her to understand. Shawn asks her if she thinks that his father is somewhat of an honest guy. Hope doesn’t know anymore. Shawn knows what she means – so many of the things he blamed Bo for – it turns out he didn’t do. He’s ashamed of himself – he knows Bo is innocent and Patrick is not. Hope wants to know if he knows something she doesn’t. Shawn hedges and says if Patrick is involved with EJ and he’s not saying he is, Hope needs to watch her back. They’re not talking about Patrick though – they’re talking about his dad. Does she think Bo is a lying, deceiving person. Hope says no. Shawn says that dad plays fair and he doesn’t try to hurt people at least not on purpose. Hope agrees that Bo is an honest, decent man. Shawn wants to know why she is so ready to believe that Bo is a lying, cheating bully that goes around beating people up. Why does she believe Patrick Lockhart over Bo? Hope tells Shawn that isn’t what this is about. Shawn says you know Patrick’s side of the story. The least she can do is go to dad and hear what he has to say. They’ve been through so much. She owes him that.
Patrick lashes out at the nurses accusing them of theft. He wants his money or he’s calling the cops. Bonnie comes in – she hears what’s going on. She tells the nurses to leave – Patrick is not himself. She tells Patrick that he’s right – one of the nurses did steal his money but he’s not going to find out who did it by ranting and raving. Leave it to her – she has her ways. She’ll find out who took it … if she doesn’t, then he can call the police.
Police Station: Bo can’t believe that Abe and Roman believe that he beat up Patrick. Abe and Roman inform him that they have taken statements and Hope said he was angry when he went to see Patrick – Bonnie let him in the house. Shawn arrives. Bo asks to be able to speak to him alone. Bo tells Shawn that he’s in trouble – not only legally but with his Mom. He needs Shawn to try and reach her for him – Shawn may be the only chance he has. Roman wants to know why he went to Lockhart’s. Bo says to talk to him – to ask him to leave them alone. Abe is sceptical. Roman asks if Patrick beat himself up. Bo doesn’t know – he knows that he didn’t touch the guy. Abe informs Bo that his word isn’t good enough. He orders Roman to lock Bo up and then he tells Bo that he’s fired. Bo asks Abe to give him a chance to prove his innocence. Abe can’t let him embarrass the department any longer. Roman wants to know what the rush is to put Bo behind bars. John would like an answer to that too. Abe insists that the department is in enough trouble already for not following procedure. This case warrants them going by the book. The charges against Bo are serious – felony assault and battery, violating a restraining order – terrorist threats. Bo laughs at the terrorist threats. John says Patrick’s beating has EJ Wells written all over it. They’re both involved in the black glove crimes. If Patrick got out of line John is sure that EJ wouldn’t hesitate to dole out a beating. Abe snaps – they are done talking about EJ Wells. It’s over.
Roman asks Abe if he’s going to let the threat of a lawsuit get in the way of justice. Abe says justice will be served. Whether or not they realise it the Salem PD is on the two strike’s program. John says that EJ is going to take strike 3 and he’s going to be the one to take the pitch. Abe says come to me with proof that EJ Wells beat the hell out of Patrick then we’ll talk. Bo asks Abe if he’s supposed to rot in jail for something he didn’t do. Abe says he’s sorry. Roman tells Bo that they want to help him but the law won’t let them. Bo thinks they should bring Patrick in and let them talk face to face – they’ll see he’s lying. Roman reminds Bo that Patrick is in the hospital. Bo is the one that allegedly beat him up – Patrick is not accused of any crime. Bo thinks they should just give EJ and Patrick the keys to the city. The criminals are the only ones that get respect around here. Bo tells Abe that if anything else happens to anyone in his family it’s going to be on Abe’s head. A cop pokes his head in the office and says that Hope is there to see Bo. Abe says he can see her for a few minutes. He then tells the cop to watch Bo to make sure he doesn’t try and leave. Bo is glad Hope came. He asks if she got his note. Hope is there because of Shawn – between the two of them they almost had her convinced to give him another chance. Bo says ‘almost?’ Hope tells him that nothing is clear to her anymore. Just when she thinks she has everything figured out something else happens. She can’t do this anymore. She can’t be jerked every which way – she’s so tired. Bo says there’s nothing to worry about. All she has to do is trust that he’s telling the truth and stand beside her. Hope has been burned so many times. The adventure he talked about in the note – it’s over. She can’t continue on this ride with him any longer. Abe informs them that time is up – Bo is taken away. Hope cries. Roman tells hers that Bo has lost his job and probably lost her but if she still loves him she has to convince Patrick to drop the charges. If she doesn’t her son will be visiting his father in jail for a long time.
Max’s Garage: Both Max and Mimi are on the phone trying to locate Andrew Spivey. Neither of them have any luck. Mimi’s cell rings. It’s Bonnie. Mimi needs to get to the hospital – Patrick has been assaulted. Max offers to take her to the hospital but she tells him to stay and make more calls. Abby comes in with sandwiches. Max asks for her help finding Philip. Abby wants to know why he’s doing this. Max doesn’t really understand the question – he’s doing this to find Philip. Abby thought it was Mimi that wanted to find him now Max is all wrapped up in the search. She wonders if he is doing this for Mimi because he’s starting to have feelings for her. Abby knows this isn’t any of her business. Max tells her that for the record – Abby is wrong. Abby says that ever since Mimi started working there he doesn’t have time for anything or anyone else including his job. Everything is so backed up at the garage. Max tells her that they’ll catch up – she doesn’t have to help in the search if she doesn’t want to. Abby understands why both Belle and Mimi want Philip found but Max hardly knows the guy. He says everything changed when he and Stephanie got into the accident on the racetrack. His dream was to race cars – he doesn’t know if he can do that anymore. Add all that drama with Stephanie and Chelsea – he doesn’t know what direction his life is going in. And Mimi is in the same boat. Her marriage and her whole life fell apart. They both have mistakes to make up for – that is what this is about. Abby wants to know if he’s saying that he doesn’t have feelings for Mimi. Max wants to know what this is about – doesn’t she like Mimi? Abby shrugs. Mimi is okay. She didn’t treat Shawn very well so she doesn’t know if Mimi can be trusted in the long run. Max knows what he’s doing. Abby says then why don’t you have a clue that Mimi is starting to fall for you.
Max insists that he and Mimi are just friends. Mimi is not interested in him – she’s not even divorced from Shawn yet. Abby says he’s blind. She’s a girl – she knows these things. Mimi wants Max, Abby can see it in Mimi’s face. Max puts Mimi before everyone else. If he can’t see that she likes him at least he should realise he’s leading her on. Max wants to know what is so wrong with wanting to be a friend Mimi can depend on. Abby is sorry – she shouldn’t have brought it up. He’s a great guy. She just wants him to find the right person. Someone who loves him for who he is not because he’s famous or for what he can do for her. Someone he can trust and love and count on till the end of time. He asks her if she has anyone in mind for him. She doesn’t – she suggests they get back to the phone calls. Max calls Mimi at the hospital - he wants her to come to the garage – he thinks they found Philip. Mimi tells him that he’s unbelievable – she says Bye, see ya, luv ya. Abby asks Max if Mimi just said luv ya or was that her imagination. Max says that’s what she said. Abby can’t wait to say I told you so.
Mimi comes back to the garage. She wants to know what he found out. Andrew Spivey was sent to Afghanistan. Philip and another soldier were in a jeep when they were fire-bombed by insurgents. Both soldiers suffered serious burns and injuries. Mimi is upset. Abby says that Philip is alive lying in a hospital somewhere. The guy that Max talked to told him that Andrew Spivey was admitted to a veteran’s hospital in Atlanta. Mimi declares that they have to fly there and bring him home. Max says he can’t just fly off to Atlanta. They don’t even know if Philip is still there. The information he got is several weeks old. Mimi says this is really important – it would mean so much to her. Max asks Abby is she is supposed to be doing inventory or something. Abby says yeah, someone needs to work around here. After she leaves Max tells Mimi that he can’t afford to fly all over the country and neither can she. This is starting to get really expensive. Mimi says he’s right. They have to find some money to finance the trip and she knows exactly where to get it.
Outside Sami’s apt: Sami knows that he was put through hell by the cops and the truth is they asked her to help. She shouldn’t have gotten involved. She is glad he was cleared of suspicion and that things are working out for him. But after what happened in her apartment she doesn’t feel right about associating with him any longer. Whatever might have been between them is over. EJ is disappointed – he thought if anyone would understand it would be her. She’s been in this boat. The one where you make a mistake after being betrayed by the people you thought you could trust when all you really want is to be accepted and loved. He never meant to hurt her and he didn’t mean to frighten her. It won’t happen again. He asks her to try and think about all the wonderful days they had not just the one tragic day. Don’t judge him too harshly. Sami forgives him. EJ can tell she doesn’t mean it – there wasn’t a lot of sincerity there. Sami says he’s right. She tells him she forgives him again and apologises for getting involved with the police. She tells him they can call a truce – they can nod and smile and say hello. EJ wants more than a nodding acquaintance – he wants them to call each other friends. Lucas shows up and wants to know what is going on. Sami tells Lucas its okay – EJ just wanted to apologise. EJ knows that Lucas has every right to be angry – he was out of line. He apologised – he’d like a clean slate. Lucas will give him a clean slate and then hit him with it.
Preview: Abe to Lexie – All I’ve ever done is be a police officer. I can’t lose that. I won’t. Kayla to Steve – You don’t want to go away with me? Steve – It’s not that. Kayla – You can tell me anything. Bo (in a cell) to Billie – I didn’t lay a finger on that cry baby. Billie – But you’re still in a lot of trouble Bo. Marlena to John – I thought you quit lying to me. John – Who told you? Marlena – Nobody had to tell me. I knew.
