Brady pub: Stephanie and Nick are talking about his grant application. Chelsea comes in – she’s in a downer mood. She tells Nick and Stephanie the latest on her dad. Max comes in – he’s in a foul mood. He was just at court – he got community service. Morgan comes in – she’s upbeat and positive – she just applied for an internship. Chelsea doesn’t even feel like going to school. Max is a real jerk – doesn’t Morgan know what they’ve been going through lately. She does – she knows how strong Chelsea is – she’ll get through this. Morgan asks Nick about his grant. Nick hints that he may not be able to pursue it because of everything going on in Chelsea’s life. Morgan talks to Nick alone – he’s not going to be any help to Chelsea if he lets this opportunity slip away. Max butts in and asks to speak to Morgan alone. He reams her out – Chelsea needs Nick now. Morgan wonders what kind of friend Max is to Nick. Max is left alone at the table with Nick’s binders – he rips out a page and Morgan sees him doing it. Morgan goes to Nick – she has to tell him something about his good friend Nick.


Kiriakis mansion: Chloe has another favour to ask – she’s running short of money – can she stay here longer. After numerous – do you believe me questions and yes I believe you answers Philip agrees. Chloe runs to the front door and opens it to a mountain of luggage sitting out there. Philip happens to hear Chloe talking in German on the phone – he places a small recorder on the desk. When she’s done he makes a call – get here now. The guy interprets the conversation. Chloe was talking to her agent – she made him a lot of money – he owes her. She doesn’t want him telling anyone that she threatened to kill Brady before he disappeared. She didn’t mean it – it was just a figure of speech. If he does this, she’ll owe him.


Steve & Kayla’s suite: Steve hovers over Kayla – she finally gets him to sit down beside her. As soon as he sits there’s a knock on the door. He tells her it’s the pizza guy and goes into the hallway. It’s Abe. Ava has a long, long rap sheet. Steve tells him that about five or six years ago he was able to get away from Stefano. He hooked up with Ava – she was a nice girl. He knew her father was into illegal things – he worked for him but he was on the bottom rung of the organization. Ava wanted to marry him and he just knew that there was some other woman he was meant to be with so he took off. At one point Kayla comes out and sees that Steve is talking to Abe. He tells her it’s about the sabotage of John’s plane. He asks her if she would go in the bedroom so they could come inside and talk. She agrees. Steve tells Abe that Ava is here. He also tells him that Ava is the one responsible for the sabotage of the plane. Abe asks why she would want to kill everyone if she was only after you. Steve tells Abe that Ava is crazy – she told him that she suffered for years after he left now she wants him to suffer. He also tells Abe about the note that she sent him threatening Kayla. Abe offers police protection but Steve says no – the last thing Kayla needs is stress. He’ll handle this on his own and if he needs anything he’ll come to Abe.


Ava: She sits in her room continuously looking at all the pictures she took of those that were in Ireland growing increasingly agitated.


Preview: EJ to Sami – Annulment papers. Sami – That was fast. EJ – What you need to do is sign them. Ava (holding up a picture of Hope) – You’re in love with Steve - now I just to figure out what your name is. Hope to Bo – Stop it both of you okay, because you’re talking like it’s over and it’s not. We have a lot of happy times in front of us. Victor – Yes you do.

Hospital – Chelsea’s room: Kate is there visiting. They talk about Billie and how Chelsea’s feeling. Dr. Dan comes in and Kate ties into him. He tells her he was on a video conference about another patient. Kate feels that no other patient is more important than Chelsea. Chelsea defends the doctor falling all over herself to make herself look good in his eyes. The doctor tells Chelsea she may be able to go home tomorrow – he leaves to check on Bo. Kate doesn’t think Chelsea looked very happy about going home – she mentions that Chelsea has a crush on the doctor. Chelsea insists she doesn’t – they’re just good ‘friends’. Nick comes in – Kate gives them some privacy. Nick is happy to hear that she may go home tomorrow – things can go back to normal. Chelsea says no – this whole life or death experience leaves her thinking that she wants to be better a person, travel a new path. Nick wonders if there is room for him on this new path – he loves her and living without her in his life would be impossible. Chelsea lies and tells him she loves him too. He leaves and Kate returns. They talk about Kate’s new business. She hasn’t chosen between Tony and Anna’s firm – she doesn’t like Anna but she did think she had some good ideas. Kate wants Chelsea’s input on the product. Chelsea wants to see Bo – Kate will see if she can make that happen. After Dr. Dan is done with Bo he checks up on Chelsea again. (Kate leaves). He notices how flushed Chelsea’s looks and checks to see if she has a fever. He tells her she’s a hero – bleck!!!


Hospital – Bo’s room: Bo wakes up and tells Kayla he’s having trouble breathing because she’s suffocating him. He wants her to stop hovering and go home and get some rest. Kayla is not leaving until either Dr. Jonas or Lexie come back on rotation. They argue back and forth. Bo tells her to take care of herself and the baby. Kayla says if she goes home she’s just going to worry herself sick. Bo tells her she’s the best sister and doctor a guy could have. He appreciates everything she has done – he owes her his life. They start talking about Shawn and then Bo talks about his memories of that time with Hope and Shawn sailing around the world. Bo says they’ll be sailing across open seas – it can get quite treacherous. Bo is going to miss him. Steve comes in – he wants to take Kayla home. The argument starts again. Kayla tells them both this is her turf – she’s staying. Steve asks Bo if Hope is this stubborn. Bo says she is – Kayla had to convince her to go home and get some rest.

Kayla asks Bo if there is anything of Pop’s that he would like. Bo has a lot of memories of the fishing trips – he talks about those memories – he’d like the poles. Kayla took the poles. Bo is surprised – Steve doesn’t like to fish. Kayla hopes to take their baby fishing when it gets older. Bo says okay but he wants his – his initials are carved in it. He’d like the pocket watch then – Roman took it. Bo asks if Mom is okay with them taking some of Pop’s stuff. She is – some stuff is sentimental and some stuff reminds her that Pop isn’t around. Steve comments that it’s weird how remembering some things make you happy and other things make you sad. Daniel enters – Steve wants to know where he’s been. While he was gone another doctor almost screwed up Bo’s medication. Kayla brings Daniel up to speed. Daniel says it won’t happen again. He suggests that Kayla go home and get some rest – he’ll take it from here. They leave. Bo tells the doctor he wants to get some rest before Hope comes back.

Bo and Dan talk about Chelsea and what a special lady she is. Bo states that if he was conscious he wouldn’t have let Chelsea make that sacrifice. To put her at the slightest risk is unthinkable – the possibility of losing her, unbearable. Daniel thinks it was good the decision was taken out of his hands. Bo states it wasn’t Hope’s decision to make. Daniel says it was and it was the right decision. Bo knows that it was a difficult decision for Hope because she knew it was against his wishes. Daniel says Hope felt exactly the same way you did about Chelsea – the possibility of losing you was unbearable. Bo appreciates everything Chelsea did and he’ll never be able to thank her enough but what if his body rejects the pancreas. Daniel has a feeling Chelsea’s pancreas is as tough as she is – it’ll put up a good fight. Bo wants to go and see her. Daniel says that Chelsea may get out of there soon so he’ll send her to see him. Bo is happy she’s recovering quickly. Daniel gives him a sedative so that he has a good sleep. Bo is restless in his sleep – he calls out Hope’s name.


Ava & Hope: Hope (in the parking lot) calls Caroline and tells her she’ll pick up Ciara this evening. Ava chloroforms Hope. Ava rolls Hope into the back seat of her car and dumps her purse and jacket into a garbage can. Angelo carries an unconscious Hope into Ava’s room – what the hell has she done. Ava jokes that she invited her over for a slumber party. Angelo says this is kidnapping. Her father isn’t going to take this lightly. Hope comes too. Ava is so glad she’s awake – they have so much to discuss, Kayla. Hope asks – did you just call me Kayla. Angelo said so your Patch’s wife. Ava says she doesn’t recognise him by that name; he goes by Steve now. Angelo forgot – whatever name he goes by he’s still a bastard. He hates him. Hope remembers her from outside the pub. She’s Ava, the woman Steve was involved with. Ava is thrilled that Steve told ‘Kayla’ about her. Ava asks if he told her that they were in love. Hope says ‘he told me.’ Ava says Patch loved me and he’s going to love me again as soon as I deal with this little situation. Hope says – what situation. Ava knows that she’s pregnant with his baby – she knows so many things, Kayla.

Hope places a hand over her stomach – so you know about the baby. Ava does. She says that she and Patch were wild but they always knew that one day they would settle down. So now they need to come up with a solution to their little problem. Hope asks – what kind of solution. Ava says they have to take her (Kayla) out of the equation. Hope asks – you’re going to kill me? Ava never said that – she prefers to keep things friendly – she touches Hope’s hair. Hope shoves her hand away and tells Ava not to touch her. Ava doesn’t think that was very friendly – she warns Hope to think twice before getting on her bad side. Hope says this conversation is over and starts walking towards the door. Angelo stops her. Ava says they’re not done yet. If she wants to insure her safety and the safety of her child she better cooperate and work things out otherwise she (Ava) will be very upset. Angelo tells Hope that she’s not going anywhere. Hope wants to know what they want from her. Ava wants Patch back and she’s going to have him. Hope says well then, I guess we do need to talk. After all I am Steve’s wife.

Angelo wants to talk to Ava in the hallway. Ava tells Hope to try and not steal anything else from her while she’s gone. In the hallway Angelo tells Ava that he thinks this is a bad idea. Her father is going to be livid when he finds out she kidnapped that lady. He has to report this to him. Ava says she needs Kayla here – they have to come to terms. Angelo doesn’t think that Patch is worth all this trouble. Ava tells Angelo that he knows how much Patch meant to her. She’s sick and tired of trying to deal with all these feelings. She’s sick of hurting every single day. She has to find a way to deal with the hurt one way or the other. Angelo asks her what she means. Ava starts crying – she’s told him this. She needs closure like her shrink said and if she can’t get closure she’d rather die. Angelo tells her to shush. Inside the room Hope checks the windows – no way out. Angelo tells Ava not to cry – he’ll help her with that woman – just promise that she won’t do anything to herself again. He asks – now what. Ava says she’s going to be here awhile. They should probably get her something to eat – she needs to take care of the baby. Angelo wants Ava to come with him. She tells him to lock the door – he does. Inside the room Hope tries the door. She picks up the picture of Ava and Steve and then starts going through drawers. She finds Ava’s stash of pictures of the Brady’s. She kisses the picture of Bo and says don’t worry, Brady, I’ll find a way out of here.


Steve & Kayla’s suite: Kayla is on the computer sending a letter to the doctors that aren’t helping enough with a children’s charity the hospital is involved with. Steve loves it when she gets tough. He tells her to relax and starts massaging her shoulders, then kissing her neck and finally her lips. Kayla calls Daniel – he tells her he gave Bo a sedative, he’s sleeping. He suggests she get some sleep – she will. Steve brings her some hot chocolate – has she thought of baby names yet. For girl names they could name her after his mother. Steve says they could name her Caroline after her momma – then he jokes and combines the two names. Boy’s name. Bo already used Pop’s name. Steve says they can’t name they’re baby after his rotten father – he suggests Benjamin. Kayla likes that. Steve mentions that he talked to Benjy’s wife – she’s doing well. She feels a lot better now that Stefano is in a coma. Kayla knows – it’s great not having that black cloud hanging over their head’s all the time. Her family feels so much more relaxed knowing that there isn’t this constant threat. Bo makes a call to Kayla’s bodyguard – Kayla is sleeping and he’s going to stay in so the guy can take a break. He asks if there’s been any sign of Ava – no.


Preview: Philip to Max – So you used to date Paul Hollingsworth daughter? Max – Morgan, yeah. Philip – What’s the story with her? She’s awfully damn cute. Bo (on the phone) – Have you seen Hope? And you haven’t heard from her again? I’m sure everything’s fine. Ava to Hope – I don’t think I said anything about letting you go.

Hospital: Stephanie and Morgan bring gifts and chocolates for Chelsea – they hear she might go home today. They talk for a bit then they have to leave to start their first official day of their internships. Morgan suggests that Chelsea get one – Chelsea don’t wanna. In Bo’s room the nurse tells Lexie that Bo is sleeping but very restless. Bo calls out for Hope – Lexie wakes him up. Bo had this dream of Hope – she was off in the distance, he tried to reach her but couldn’t. Lexie reminds him he’s on a lot of medication – would he feel better if he talked to her. She hands him the phone. Bo tries her cell – voicemail, no answer at home either. He calls Caroline and finds out that Hope hasn’t been there and she hasn’t heard from her since she called that she would be picking up Ciara. Lexie tells Bo that Hope probably turned the phone off and went to sleep – she was exhausted – don’t worry. A nurse wheels Chelsea in – she wanted to see him before she’s released. She crawls up on the bed with Bo. Bo thanks her for saving his life. She says after all the pain, heartache and disappointment she caused and after all he did for her she wanted to give something back. There are several more scenes of the two of them together – Hope is mentioned, Chelsea gushes about Daniel … yawn.

Abe comes to visit Lexie. She gives him the update on Bo. Abe was wondering if she was going to be finished soon. No but she should be home in time to put Theo to bed. Abe says perfect timing – he’s covering the 12 to eight shift for another officer. Lexie wonders when they’re ever going to find some time to be together. Abe says it’s because they both have demanding, full-time jobs. Lexie knows but if it wasn’t for their son they’d hardly ever see each other. Abe is glad they’re talking about this – they have to find a way to spend some time together.


Ava & Hope: Hope is searching through drawers and finds something to try and pick the lock. She hears Ava outside the door so she hides whatever she was using in her pocket. Ava brings in a snack for Hope. She warns Hope to not even try and escape. Hope points out that Ava managed to get out on more than one occasion. Ava cautions that her cousin is right outside the door. Hope mentions that Ava said she wanted to talk – so let’s talk because then she’s going back to her husband. Ava grabs her and tells her to never call him that – he loved her long before he ever met her (Kayla). Hope says she realises that they had a relationship but things change. Ava says and they’ll change back again. Hope asks what she wants from her – just some conversation. Hope knows her name is Ava but other than that she doesn’t know anything else about her. Ava says no we’re going to talk about you, Patch and the baby. Hope points out that stress is not good for the baby. Ava tells her not to get stressed out. Hope says just being here is stressing her out – she doesn’t know what Ava wants. Ava just wants to talk. Hope would be a lot more willing to talk if she knew Ava was going to let her go. Ava thought they were friends. Hope says friends don’t chloroform friends and kidnap them. Ava is sorry – she didn’t think Kayla would come with her willingly. Hope asks why her father keeps her locked up in here. Ava doesn’t want to talk about herself. Hope says my name is Kayla Johnson and you and I are going to have a nice little chat about Steve. Ava insists on calling him Patch, Hope is equally insistent on calling him Steve. Hope says we’ll talk about Steve and my unborn baby and then you’ll let me go. Ava doesn’t think she said anything about letting her go.

Hope says fine, no promises and you’re in control. Hope gets that Ava is loving it too – what exactly does Ava want and how long is she going to be here. Ava says just until Patch joins them. The three of them will have a little chat and he’ll realise that he made the biggest mistake of his life leaving her. He’ll dump Kayla and her unborn brat and come back to her – just like that. Hope asks – you think the minute Steve sees you again he’s going to forget about me and the baby. Ava says – in time. Hope says – didn’t he already see you? That’s right, he did and you threatened me and the baby. He wasn’t happy about that. Ava says that’s because he thinks he loves you and he’s still a little bit angry with me. Hope says because you caused the plane to crash that nearly killed us and our friends and family. Ava insists the crash was an accident. Hope says it sure didn’t seem like an accident – all the controls had been tampered with. Ava blames it on her relatives – all her guards are cousins and they’re not exactly rocket scientists. Hope wants to know why she sabotaged the plane if she wasn’t trying to kill them. Ava didn’t want the plane to take off so she could get Patch back. Hope says that didn’t work out so well. The plane did crash and three people died because of you – one of them being her father. Doesn’t she feel guilty about that? Ava did it to get Patch back again. Hope says – you’re crazy. Ava says I’m not crazy. Hope asks her how she’s going to get Steve here. Ava tells her not to worry about that – she has her ways.

Hope knows about her ‘ways’ – chloroforming and kidnapping. Ava won’t have to force Patch because she knows she’s in his heart. Patch is the perfect man for her – they were going to be together forever. Then one day he was gone – she didn’t handle that very well and she still isn’t. She won’t be her old self until she gets Patch back. Hope says – once you get Steve back, you’ll be well. Ava says you make it sound like I’m sick – I’m not. I know what I want and what I need and that is the man I love. It’s pure and simple. Hope tells her that she doesn’t need a man to complete her. Ava doesn’t think Kayla knows anything about love. She and Patch are soul mates – they complete each other. Obviously Kayla’s relationship with him is so shallow that she doesn’t even get what she’s talking about and that’s why in the end she’ll have Patch. You’ll lose Steve and that will be that. Hope thinks Ava is kind of smug for a woman trapped in her own castle – no offence. Ava is just telling Kayla that what she thinks she had with Patch is nothing compared to what he had with her. Hope understands how much she must have missed him when he left – and how much it hurt. Ava tells her it still does – she doesn’t want to talk about the past. It gives her a headache – Kayla has no idea how much she suffered. Hope asks if Steve caused you so much pain why do you want him back. Ava says because I love him. Hope says so do I. Ava yells – no you don’t. You just put Patch in a room with me and you and let him choose. He’s going to know. I’m going to win, hands down. You might as well just give it up Kayla because you’re going to have to raise that brat all by yourself. Patch is mine.

Ava says you can’t deny it. The love between Patch and I is far more powerful than anything the two of you shared. Hope says you seem so sure – I’m not going to argue after all I am your prisoner. Ava says guest. Hope says you’re truly delusional. Ava warns Kayla not to underestimate her. Hope wouldn’t do that. Not after how clever Ava’s been so far. You’ve figured out that I’m Kayla Johnson and pregnant, you kidnapped me and you caused a plane to crash – so what’s next. Ava says I get Patch here and then he sees us sin a room together. It’s only a matter of time until he takes me back. Hope says you still haven’t said how you’re going to get Steve here. Ava isn’t, Kayla is. Her daddy doesn’t let her have a phone but she lifted one off her cousin. She tells Hope to call Patch and tell him that if ever wants to see her again he’ll do exactly what she (Ava) tells him to do.


Other locations: Philip joins Max at the Java Café. Max wonders what is going on at the docks – first Mr. Hollingsworth quarantines some of Philip’s shipments and then Philip leaves and his father comes along and pretty much accuses John Black of being behind it. Philip would appreciate Max keeping that information to himself. Max will – he doesn’t want to be caught in a war between the Kiriakis’s and Stefano’s half-brother. Philip asks if that is how he thinks of John these days. Max does – from everything he has seen and heard John is acting real strange lately. Philip agrees. Philip switches the conversation to Morgan. He wants to know the story about her – she’s awfully damn cute. He hopes she’s nothing like her father. Max doesn’t want Philip trying to use Morgan to get to her father. Philip says he would never do that. Max tells Philip that he and Morgan are friends and tells him not to mess with her. Philip won’t. Max has to leave.

Stephanie and Morgan order latte’s – Philip offers to pay. Stephanie asks why – does he have an ulterior motive. He does. He wanted to make up for being so rude to Morgan’s father. Morgan says he should apologise to her father. He will, as soon as his shipments are out of quarantine. He leaves. The girls talk about their internships and the fact that Tony and Anna have the hots for each other. Their professor shows up with the guys. He tells the girls that the guys are going to film them at work – Dave will be with Stephanie and Mark with Morgan. All four of them will receive class credit for this. He assures them this has been cleared with their internships.

Kate walks into Tony’s office – did she have an appointment. Kate didn’t – she wanted to surprise him. She’s decided to use his firm to do her company’s advertising and promotions. Tony is thrilled. Kate’s cell rings – it’s Anna. She was wondering if Kate had decided which company she is going to use to market her new product line. Kate says this isn’t a good time to talk – she’s meeting with Tony right now – she’s decided to go with him. Kate is sure that she has something Anna can do for her – she’s thinking of a secondary line that will be sold exclusively online. Anna bites her tongue and thanks Kate. Kate tells Tony that Anna sounded disappointed and a little bit angry. Tony says she should have never gone into competition against him. Kate asks if he thinks Anna can’t compete. Tony doesn’t. He asked Anna to work with him but she turned him down. Kate says she’s not one of my favourite people but she did have some impressive ideas. The door opens and a secretary brings in some champagne – Tony thought they could celebrate. He pours her a glass and ends up dumping it down the front of her blouse. As he’s wiping up the champagne off her blouse Morgan and her cameraman walk in – it’s all caught on film.

Tony wants to know what this is (the cameraman). Morgan fills him in – she thought he knew about it already. He didn’t. Tony tells Morgan that he and Kate were celebrating because Kate gave them the account. Philip walks into the office and is surprised to see his mother there. He sees Morgan and asks – is this where you work? Kate asks if they know each other. Philip tells Kate that Morgan’s father works for Custom’s – they ran into each other on the dock. Tony asks Philip what he can do for him. Philip is thinking of hiring Tony’s firm to do an ad campaign promoting their shipping line that targets corporate accounts and hides their visibility and reputation. Tony is extremely interested. Philip will have his secretary call and schedule a time for them to do a presentation. He’d like it fast and targeted for both the domestic and international markets. Tony will put his best people on it. Philip and Kate talk business. Philip tells Tony he’s looking forward to working with him. He tells Morgan he’ll see her. Morgan hopes that she’ll be a part of the team that services his needs – she cringes. Everyone leaves the office leaving Morgan and her cameraman alone – Morgan stares into the camera and says I hate you.

Anna is on the phone with her boss. She didn’t get the full account but it’s a start. She’s confident that once Kate sees the sales numbers for the products they’re handling for her she’ll dump DiMera Advertising. She’s told her job is on the line – she got it. Stephanie and Dave arrive – he’s filming. Anna asks who he is and what is he doing. After Stephanie fills her in Anna tells Dave if any of this shows up on the internet he’s in big trouble. Max knocks in and comes in with a bouquet of flowers for Stephanie. What’s up with the camera? Stephanie explains. Anna takes the flowers to put in them in water. Stephanie kisses Max – it’s filmed. Max and Stephanie make plans to meet up later – there’s some stuff happening on the docks that he wants to talk to her about.


Preview: Chelsea to Dr. Jonas – I thought I was going home today. What’s wrong with me? Dr. Jonas – I’m not the one that should break this to you. Philip to Chloe – You going to tell me where you’re going? Chloe – I have an audition. Lexie to Bo – I’m telling you to get your butt back in that bed before I jab a needle full of sedatives into it. Bo – Okay.

Off the top: I'm sorry but I'm unable to do a full spoiler report. Something has come up that my husband and I have to take care of this afternoon. Kudos again to Tamara Braun - you can actually see the insanity in Ava's eyes - job well done!

Here's a brief recap:

Dr. Jonas pretends to see something wrong when he looks at Chelsea's chart - she panics. He says she has to be moved - he can't tell her what's wrong - that should come from someone else. It's all a trick - Stephanie and Max are there to take her home. She gets dressed and goes to see Bo. Stephanie tells Bo that someone has to be around to take care of her. They rule out the sorority house, Bo & Hope's house, the pub ... Bo has an idea. He calls Philip - Philip says she can stay there - he'll hire a nurse. As they're leaving Stephanie gets a call from Stephanie to come right home.

Chloe tells Philip she has an audition - she's worked with this person before - she's confident she'll get the job. She comes storming back later - she nailed the audition but apparently they heard all the gossip from Austria and won't hire her. They believe the allegations that she had something to do with Brady's disappearance. Philip assures her that he doesn't believe them.

Kayla tries to sneak past a sleeping Steve but just as she gets to the door he asks her where she is going. She was going to the hospital to see Bo. Steve says no. His cell rings. Hope says darling it's Kayla. Steve thinks it's a trick until Hope says she's with his friend Ava. Hope tells him Ava wants her to stay awhile - until Steve gets his priorities straight. She wants to have a little chat with him. Ava takes the phone. Steve tells her she doesn't have to do this. Ava doesn't think he needed to run off either. Steve tells her everything is good which really sets Ava off. She tells him Kayla will have to deal with her if she gets in a bad mood. She warns him to keep this conversation to himself and hangs up. Kayla wants to know what that was about. Steve tells her it's a long story. He's about to tell her about Ava when she doubles over in pain. He calls her doctor who comes to the suite. As the doctor is examining Kayla Steve phones Bo. The doctor brings Kayla out - she can only walk from the bed to the couch to the bathroom - otherwise she has to keep her feet up. She's given Kayla something that will make her drowsy. Once Kayla has fallen asleep Steve calls Stephanie.

Lexie catches Bo out of bed - he has to find Hope. Lexie insists he get back in bed - Hope is probably sleeping. When she catches him out of the bed the second time she agrees to call Abe after telling him Roman is out of town. She checks his incision - he's pulled a stitch. Abe comes in and Bo tells him no one has seen Hope since she left the hospital - she's not answering her phone. Abe talks to Lexie outside the room - they talk about having to make some time to be together real soon. Steve calls Bo and tells him he has to talk to him about Hope. Do not get the police involved. Bo realises that Steve has talked to Hope - Steve said she sounded fine but he doesn't know exactly where she is. They lose reception on their phones.

After the phone call to Steve - Hope gets Ava to talk. Ava tells Hope how Steve and her met - it was almost love at first sight. They were together for two years. She introduced him to her father - her father didn't trust Patch but gave him a job in the family business. She talks about the wedding she wanted to have - describes it in great detail. Her dad didn't want her to marry Patch so they ran off together and found this preacher that would marry them. The preacher went out to find these two old people to be witnesses - she stood in that church with the preacher and the two people waiting for Patch. She went home, broke things, cried and then she got sick. Hope tells her that Steve treated her horribly - she says really nice things about Ava. Ava tells 'Kayla' she knows she's trying to work her - she's not stupid. She doesn't want to hurt Kayla - she's sorry that Kayla is going to have to hurt the way she did when Patch left but it can't be helped. Ava asks 'Kayla' if she's going to eat her sandwich - she does. After she eats Ava demands that she tell her what it was like to be married to Patch - after all she was supposed to be married to him. Hope will tell her but she wants to make one phone call first. Ava asks if she is going to call the cops. They won't find her. She's not going to have her happy ending - only me and Patch because we're going to be together forever.

Preview: Marlena to John - Why do you suddenly care what I think of you? Stephanie to Steve - I just wish you'd tell me what's going on. Does it have to do with Ava or not? Chez Rouge: Maggie takes John to his table. He moves stuff around and checks the label on the champagne bottle. He doesn’t look too impressed but he doesn’t say anything. Marlena arrives – Maggie tells her she looks beautiful. Marlena was at a charity event and got a call to come here but she doesn’t know why. Maggie points to John. Marlena walks to the table – besides being a huge presumption, what is this? John asks – can’t I invite you to dinner without you being suspicious. Marlena points out that he didn’t invite her, he lured her there. He didn’t think she’d come if he asked her. She says he’s probably right. He wants to put this business of the docks behind them. It wasn’t his intention to upset or disappoint her. Marlena asks – you mean by lying. John is trying to be nice. Marlena wants to know why he suddenly cares what she thinks of him. John shrugs – she’s always the one who is so hot to pretend that they still have some kind of relationship. Marlena says so you’re playing at it, why? John admits that he doesn’t know why her opinion matters to him but it does. She asks if any memories have resurfaced. John says you’re smart, classy and you’ve gone out of your way to help – that’s my way of apologising. He points to a box with a box – that’s for her.

It’s a diamond necklace – John knew it would smooth things over. All’s forgiven, right? Marlena – no. If he were remembering he would know that things like this don’t matter to her. John asks – what woman doesn’t like diamonds. Marlena - this woman – especially when they’re being used as a bribe. John points out that a bribe is giving someone something when you expect something in return. Marlena says like the custom official who impounded the Kiriakis shipments. John claims he doesn’t know what she’s talking about. He read that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Marlena’s best friend was always her husband and right now she misses him more than ever. She’s sorry he went to all this trouble and expense. John thinks she is playing hard to get. Marlena tells him that he can’t buy her forgiveness the way he bought the custom agent. She won’t let it go until he’s truly sorry for what he did. John claims he didn’t do anything but even if he did what’s the problem with spending money to make money. Marlena tells him it’s wrong not to mention immoral and illegal. There’s much better ways to spend his money. John snidely comments – how, by buying you matching earrings and a bracelet. John doesn’t know why she’s so worked up – it’s a present. She tells him it’s ludicrously expensive. He says he can afford it. Marlena tells him he can spend his money on a better cause – not on junk like this. He tells her to admit it – she wants the damn necklace. What Marlena wants is her husband – her real husband who would never dream of trying to buy her affection or forgiveness. She gets up and takes the box and hands it to Maggie – it’s for her. Maggie looks at it – she couldn’t possibly accept this. Marlena tells her to sell it and give the money to charity – she leaves. Maggie takes the box to John – that didn’t go the way he hoped, did it. John says he isn’t very good at this man woman thing. Maggie asks him if he wants to impress Marlena – sell the necklace and give the money to a worthy cause. John doesn’t think he wants to impress her anymore – she’s too high maintenance. Maggie says we both know that isn’t true.


Hospital – Bo’s room: Abe tells Bo that his friends on the force are looking for Hope on their own time. Bo appreciates it – his cell rings. Its Steve telling him not to bring the cop’s in on the search for Hope until he talks to him. Trust him. Bo tells Abe Steve was just calling to check on him. Abe will check on the search for Hope. Bo tells Abe to call the guys off. Abe is surprised. Bo feels he over-reacted. He feels kind of stupid – he woke up from a dream where he couldn’t find Hope and he was kind of panicked. It was probably because of the drugs like Lexie suggested. Abe and Lexie point out that they’ve looked everywhere and no one has seen Hope since she left the hospital. Bo thinks she possibly went shopping – they haven’t been since they got back from Ireland. Lexie says okay but your heart rate and blood pressure are still elevated so try and rest. Bo will.

Lexie comes back and tells Bo that she doesn’t know what’s going on but she’s concerned about how it may affect his health. Why did he suddenly back down from having Abe and his men search for Hope? Bo wouldn’t back down if Hope was in trouble – it’s important that Lexie trust him. Lexie will but if Hope isn’t found by morning … Bo says they will call in the marines. Lexie just wants Hope found and for Bo to get well. Steve comes in – Lexie leaves them alone. Bo wants to know what the hell is going on – why can’t the cops look for Hope? Steve tells Bo that Hope is with a woman named Ava Vitali. Bo wants to know who the woman is and how Steve knows this. Hope called him. Bo demands to know what is going on. Bo fills him in on who Ava is and what she did. When Bo hears that she caused the plane crash he says she killed Pop. Steve is so sorry – he’ll never be able to make it up to Bo. They have to deal with what is going on right now – this woman is threatening Kayla and her unborn child. Bo tells him to call the cops and have them bring her in. Steve says they tried – they can’t get a bead on her – he only seen her once - he got this call from her a little while ago. Bo wants to know what this has to do with Hope. Steve tells him Ava’s got Hope, for some reason the crazy bitch thinks Hope is Kayla.

Bo is very upset – Steve tells him to calm down – he’s handling it. Bo wants to know how. Right now he’s waiting for Ava to call him back. Bo asks him what the hell is wrong with him – just waiting around. Steve talked to Hope – she’s okay. He’s the one Ava wants. He’ll get Hope back to Bo – he promises. Bo asks Steve why he let Hope get involved. Steve says he didn’t let her get involved – he doesn’t know how Ava got the idea Hope was Kayla. Bo asks him why he didn’t go to the cops. He went to Abe and told him that Ava caused the plane crash but he can’t do anything because they have no proof. Bo tells Steve that if Hope is hurt in any way he’ll kick his butt. Steve doesn’t blame him for being upset but right now they have to find Hope and keep her, Kayla and Stephanie safe. Bo realises that Steve didn’t mean for this to happen. Steve’s cell rings – it’s restricted – it could be Ava. Steve puts it on speaker and answers. He wants to talk to Kayla. Ava says no. Steve asks if she is alright. So far. Steve asks Ava what she wants. Ava gives him a place to meet her in two hours. Steve asks if Kayla will be with him. Ava tells him to stop asking questions and do what she tells him to otherwise he’ll never see his pregnant little wife again.


Steve & Kayla’s suite: Stephanie arrives. Steve is going to see Uncle Bo – he needs her to stay with her mother. When Stephanie finds out there’s nothing wrong with Bo she questions Steve leaving – he’s been sticking to mom like glue. Does this have anything to do with Ava? Steve tells Stephanie about the doctor’s visit – Kayla needs to rest. Stephanie wants to know if this has to do with Ava or not. Steve doesn’t have time to get into it. He’ll be back as soon as he can. Kayla wakes up – she assumes Steve went to get more food. Stephanie knows about the doctor visit – is she okay? Kayla is. Stephanie suggests that Kayla go into the bedroom and have a good nap. Kayla does. Max shows up – what’s going on? He knows when something is bothering her and after everything they’ve been through they shouldn’t be keeping secrets. Stephanie says it’s not about her, it’s about her mom and dad. If she tells him he has to promise not to tell anyone else.

Max and Stephanie talk about Ava – how Steve is going crazy trying to find her – how Kayla doesn’t know anything about her and why she can’t be told. Max offers to try and look for Ava – Stephanie informs him that her dad told Abe – the police haven’t been able to find her. Max finds that strange. Stephanie adds that Ava’s dad is some kind of crime boss. Max will do anything he can to help – even if it’s just to be here with her. That’s all Stephanie needs – they hug. Max tells her he cares for her a lot. Max feels bad that they haven’t been able to spend more time together. After a little more small talk he tells her there’s something he wants to tell her. He would have liked a more romantic setting but this will have to do. He stammers … I … I … I feel very strongly for you. Stephanie laughs and cries. That wasn’t the reaction he wasn’t looking for. Stephanie says sorry but ‘I feel strongly about you’ – are you afraid to say the word. Max pretends to not know what word she is talking about. They banter back and forth. She says she’s not afraid to say it. She made up her mind a while ago – love. Max kisses her – Kayla comes out of the bedroom. Kayla apologises – she’ll leave them alone. They tell her no – its okay – stay. Kayla tells them that not everyone remembers that Max was adopted by the Brady’s. Stephanie mentions that some of the sorority sisters have already mentioned that. Kayla just wants them to be prepared for the comments and can deal with the misunderstandings. Kayla thought Steve would be back by now. Stephanie says he went to visit Uncle Bo – should she call him. Kayla says no – she’s enjoying not having him hover over her. Max says he just wants you to be safe. Kayla asks – why wouldn’t I be? Stephanie covers – he meant the baby.


Ava & Hope: Hope tells Ava to let her make the call. When Ava says no Hope says she doesn’t understand what Ava is doing. When Steve called he wanted to come here but she said no. Ava isn’t stupid. Patch would call the cops – don’t underestimate her – her daddy taught her well. Hope wonders why her daddy doesn’t just grab Steve and bring him here. Oh wait, her father doesn’t like Steve. She wonders what would happen if Ava’s father found out about her plans for a future with Steve. Ava isn’t worried – daddy’s out of town and while he’s away she can get away with anything. Hope comments that Ava’s guards work for her father. They do – but they’re all family. Angelo loves her – when Daddy finds out she got away he’ll take his anger out on Angelo. But they all blame Patch for what happened to her and they’d all like to see him dead. Hope asks Ava if she loved Steve why would she put him in that kind of danger. Ava doesn’t want to live without him and once her daddy sees how well she is again, how happy she is, he’ll accept it. Hope warns it that it’s not going to be as easy to get Steve away from her again as Ava thinks it will be. Ava mocks her – you think you had some great love, don’t you. Hope does. Ava wants to hear all about it. Hope tells Ava that she and Steve meant almost twenty years ago. Ava is shocked – she’s known him that long? Hope says yes – she fell in love with him right away. She admits it was hard to convince him to settle down because he had such a wild side back then. But he loved her – it may have taken awhile but they finally got together despite all the obstacles, all the people that tried to keep them apart. When they fell in love, they stayed in love. Ava says that can’t be true or he wouldn’t have fallen in love with her and stayed with her all those years. Hope says that was only because he wasn’t with me. Ava smiles – so Patch left you before – so much for your great love. Hope says no Ava he wasn’t with me because everyone had thought he had died.

Hope tells her about the bomb – it was meant for someone else. Last year Steve came back to her. Ava says – you were separated a long time. Hope never stopped loving him. Ava shrugs – he was with me. Hope states only when he didn’t know who he really was. There was a man named Stefano DiMera – Steve had amnesia. He didn’t remember anything – who he was, his family, his past, his friends – once he did remember he remembered me and his love for me. Ava is upset and tells Hope that she doesn’t know when to shut up. Hope says you asked me to tell you about my life with Steve so you don’t get to tell me to shut up. She’s sorry Ava is upset but she’s upset to. She’s upset she was brought here against her will and she’s upset that Ava is back in Steve’s life – they’re both upset. Let her go and they’ll call it even. Ava says no. Ava asks ‘Kayla’ if she doubts that Patch really loved her. Hope thinks that he was very confused at the time – didn’t know who he really was. Ava says he knew who I was and he promised we’d be together forever. (Ava has a flashback to her and Patch in bed). He loved her more than anyone and he will again. Hope says it sounds like you and Steve had some wonderful times together – tell me more. Ava won’t talk about the past because it gives her a headache – she’ll only talk about the future she knows she is going to have with Patch. Kayla is the only one that seems to need convincing about that. Hope tells her to prove it by calling him and getting him here. Once Ava sees how much Steve truly loves her and how excited and committed he is to this baby she’ll come to her senses and let her go. Ava tells her she’s in for a rude awakening. Hope doesn’t want to upset her – she just wants to get back to her life. Ava says they both want the same thing but they both can’t have it – we’ll see who gets what she wants. Hope says yes we will but first you have to make the call.


Preview: EJ to Sami – All we need to do is show them that we are married in more than just name only. Chelsea to Morgan – Nick has some big and exciting news to share. Morgan – What is it? Nick – I want wait to say til Max and Stephanie get here. Ava to Hope – You think he’s going to want to say with you, don’t you? Hope – And if he does? Ava – Well that won’t be good for any of us.

Sami’s apt: Sami is folding laundry when EJ comes in and lifts her up and spins her around – he has some good news. Sami hates it when he barges into her apartment – she wants him to knock. He corrects her –‘our’ apartment – Sami says no, mine, he repeats our. He has marvellous news. Sami doesn’t care what his news is, it’s not right to swing her around like a rag doll. He won’t do it anymore. His news – he just came from the Immigration and Customs office. They’re looking into his case. It’s good news because they’re not telling him to leave the country immediately – it sounds like they’re giving this thing some thought. He explained that they are married and have a child – it seemed to generate a small amount of compassion. Sami asks if they all of a sudden decided to change their minds. EJ says no – we only have one more box to check – all we need to do is show them that we are married in more than name only. They need to reinforce the fact that they meant their vows – that they love each other.

Sami reminds him that their vows had nothing to do with love and he knows it. She was there for him – she lied through her teeth for him. EJ tells her that this is an opportunity for him to stay in the country legally. Sami wants to know what else they can do. EJ smiles – what he wants her to do is what she does better than anyone else including him – something he knows she enjoys doing very much. Something she did very well at their wedding, something she did even better when she met with Mr. Burke from Immigration – he wants her to lie through her teeth. EJ is now holding Johnnie. Sami thinks she’s done enough lying for EJ. EJ just needs to get Immigration off his back – he’s not trying to make the situation worse. Sami wants to hear him beg. EJ says okay – he’s not afraid to sacrifice his pride to spend time with his son. Sami was just kidding – she would do anything for Johnnie. What’s the plan? EJ says it’s pretty simple – you just have to love me. She scoffs – he has to do better than that. They’re doing this for Johnnie – they have to do it right. They have to be realistic. EJ agrees.


Kiriakis mansion – Chelsea’s bedroom – Part 1: Nick comes in as the nurse finishes checking on Chelsea. He has some good news but he doesn’t want to say what it is until Max and Stephanie get there. Morgan shows up but Nick still won’t tell. Finally the two show up. Nick tells them he got both state and federal grants he applied for. Everyone gushes – Max has to run – he leaves. Nick goes on and on and Morgan falls all over herself gushing over everything Nick has to say. Chelsea finally notices that Max isn’t there.


Ava & Hope: Ava is so excited. So is Hope because once Steve makes his decision they can all move on with their lives. Ava taunts – you think he’s going to want to stay to you. Hope says and what if he does. Ava warns that wouldn’t be good for any of them. Hope asks Ava if she really thinks Steve is going to want to be with her after what she did. She sabotaged the plane and three people died. She killed three people. Ava insists she didn’t kill anyone because the plane wasn’t supposed to get off the ground. Hope reminds her that it did and because of Ava three people died. Ava argues – no it was her cousins and the pilots fault. Her cousins were supposed to make sure the plane didn’t take off – she didn’t know what they did and then the pilots didn’t check the plane very well before they got on. Hope asks her what her plan was. Ava tells her the pilots were supposed to announce that there was a problem and they couldn’t take off and then everyone would deplane and then Patch would see her in the terminal. Ava goes off in her own world as she talks how Patch would have seen her and come to talk to her. They would have a drink and talk about the good old days when they were together. He would have looked in her eyes and seen how much she loved him and he would remember that he loved her. And then they would live happily ever after. Hope tells Ava that Steve did get off the plane to look for her. Ava says it wasn’t the way she wanted it to be – Patch looked really mad so she ran and hid. Hope says so you let him get back on the plane and nearly killed all of us. Ava is sorry. Hope tells her that sorry doesn’t bring them back. Ava says you said the third person was your father. Hope answers – the sweetest, kindest man she’d ever met. He gave his life for his son. He didn’t die in the crash – he died at 30,000 feet because of what happened to the plane. Ava asks what happened.

Hope tells her that they didn’t even know there was a problem until they reached their altitude. The pilots couldn’t turn, descend – do anything. The radios were out. They lost cabin pressure. Ava says that’s not a big deal because of the masks. Hope yells it was a big deal. Not all of the masks were working and they didn’t have enough oxygen for everyone. The plane couldn’t descend so someone had to sacrifice … she starts to cry … and that person was Shawn, my Pop. Ava knows Patch better than anyone - he wouldn’t stand by if anyone was dying. Hope yells he was in the cockpit – he didn’t know what was going on in the back cabin and Bo, he … he was Steve’s friend. He was really sick and because they didn’t have enough oxygen he took off his mask and offered it to her Pop. But Pop refused it … Bo passed out, Pop wouldn’t accept any oxygen – he wanted Bo to take it. Bo was unconscious. She and Hope tried to get Pop to share their mask but he wouldn’t take it. There was nothing they could do. He smiled proudly at his son, closed his eyes and died. Ava walks away from Hope and turns her back on her and cries. Ava is sorry – nothing like that was supposed to happen. Ava has to go and see Patch – she asks ‘Kayla’ what her father’s last name was. Hope says Brady. Ava knocks on the door. Angelo enters – Ava has to go – she tells him to keep an eye on Kayla and make sure she doesn’t get out.

Hope checks the windows out and finds something heavy to start hitting against the locks on the window. Hope gets the window open and the alarm goes off. Angelo rushes in and pulls Hope away from the window and throws her on the bed. Hope says you can’t blame me for trying. Angelo answers that Ava would blame him if she got away – that’s not going to happen. He locks the window again and then sits on the bed. He tells her to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride – he keeps touching her and Hope keeps pulling away.


Graveyard: Max brings some bottles of beer and a mug to his dad’s grave – he pours one into the mug for Shawn. He says Nick got his grant. He’s happy for him. Nick’s a smart guy but he makes some mistakes from time to time – he needed a little guidance. He’s not big on working at the pub but Mom’s having a really tough time so I thought I’d help her out. You know I’ll never go back to school – you did good with what you had and I’ll do good with what I have. I guess we all have our place in life. Right now he’s totally cool with working at the pub but he’d like to find something else because he wants to take care of Stephanie too. He says I miss you Pop – Ava walks up. She didn’t mean to bother him. Max was just about to leave. He asks her who she is. She’s nobody – she asks if he was related to Shawn. Max tells her he was his father. Did she know him? No, she heard about him from a friend – she heard he was an amazing man – she wanted to pay her respects. Max says he was the best man I’ve ever known. Ava asks Max to tell her a little about Shawn. Max says he was originally from Ireland and he had a pub in Salem. He had 6 kids and he had the biggest heart of anyone he’d ever met. He was kind, understanding, strong when he needed to be. He was full of life, full of love. He loved his family and friends – just so full of love. When he wasn’t working or taking care of mom or taking care of somebody he was always down at the Salem Center for at Risk Boys. He had a real big heart for poor kids especially the ones that everyone else had given up on. Ava touches his hand – Max has to leave. Ava kneels at the grave and cries, she’s so sorry.


Chez Rouge: Sami and EJ are greeted by Maggie. EJ tells her they’re here to meet the gentleman from Immigration. Maggie asks if he’s having visa problems. Sami says the U.S. government needs to make sure their marriage is for real. EJ says they’re doing it for the children. Maggie can understand that. They go to Mr. Burke’s table – really funny and cute scenes follow as Sami and EJ kind of make fun of each other. Mr. Burke just asks questions and takes notes. – These scenes really have to be watched to get the full impact. EJ says they’re going to Fiji in June – they want to keep the passion in their marriage – their sex life is quite stimulating. Sami gets her revenge by telling the waiter that EJ’s fish is overdone – he likes it really rare – practically still flopping on the plate. Mr. Burke wonders why EJ looked green when Sami was talking about how he likes his fish. EJ says overdone fish makes him ill. EJ then tells Sami not to put too much salt on her food – he tells Mr. Burke she has a tendency to blow up like a puffer fish. Mr. Burke wants to know about their daily routine. EJ says most of the day is spent looking after the kids or else its incessant lovemaking. Sami adds – that is when he’s able to perform. EJ laughs – very funny. Mr. Burke wants to know why they don’t live together. They do live together – EJ kept his old apartment – he has a lot of stuff in there that he hasn’t gotten around to selling – he supposes he’s slacked off on that. Sami says EJ doesn’t like change EJ agrees – he likes to ease into things. Mr. Burke asks if that is why he still doesn’t have a job – because he has difficulty easing into one. EJ is doing everything he can to find a job. Mr. Burke wants to know how they pay the bills. Sami says the bills are stacking up so they’ll have to cut into their lovemaking time – he’s going to have to find work soon. Maggie comes over – there’s a telephone call for EJ. EJ excuses himself and goes with Maggie after kissing Sami. He thanks Maggie – where’s the phone. There is no call. She just didn’t like the way that guy was glaring and taking notes. It doesn’t look as if things are going very well. EJ says he’s a little tougher than we thought. Maggie tells EJ not to worry – she has an idea. At the table Sami is taking a big gulp of her wine when Mr. Burke asks her if she loves her husband.


Kiriakis mansion – Chelsea’s bedroom – Part 2: Nick goes on and on – Morgan looks enthralled – Stephanie, Chelsea and everyone else is bored to tears. Max come in and makes a comment about hydrogen – he saw it on television once (he mentions that because they all look so surprised that Max could know something like that). Nick keeps yapping away – Morgan confronts Max about trying to sabotage Nick’s work – Max repeats he just needed a piece of paper to write down a phone number. Morgan thinks Max should be happy the only person she told about this was Nick. Stephanie comes over – she wants to talk to Max.


Car: Ava is in the backseat talking to her father. After she’s done talking she has the same flashback to her and Steve in bed that we saw yesterday. Ava opens the window – she’ll give that son of a bitch one more minute and then things will start getting seriously ugly around here.


Preview: EJ to Sami – Spunky aren’t you sweetheart (as he tweaks her nose and kisses her forehead). Sami laughs and gives him a good swift kick on the shin – Mr. Burke watches. Ava to Steve – I would never hurt someone on purpose. Steve – You just threatened to kill my wife. Ava – You know what, that’s different. Bo getting out of his hospital bed and then falling back unconscious.
