Vitali compound: In her room Hope has a nightmare about Ava going into Bo’s hospital room and injecting something into his IV – sorry she has to do this but she really hates when people mess with her. Hope wakes up startled. Hope falls back to sleep and has another nightmare – this one is about Ava confronting Kayla. An argument ensues and Ava ends up pushing Kayla out of a window. Another nightmare – she sees Bo on the docks. He tells her she can’t come with her – he’s going to see Pop and their little boy. He tells her to be careful – don’t let Ava do to her what she did to him – be careful. Hope cries – don’t go – Bo goes – Hope wakes up. She tries the door but can’t open it. She starts searching through drawers.

In his room Steve paces looking for a way to get Hope out of there – he realises there is no way out. He sits on the bed – oh sweetness, how the hell did he get them into this mess. Steve lies back and ‘talks’ to Kayla – when this whole thing is over he’s going to tell her everything from the beginning. Cut to flashback of him and Ava in bed. She tells him he’s amazing. She’s never known anyone like him. There’s more to him than he pretends to be. Deep inside is the heart of a very good man – kind, decent and honest – a man that would never hurt anyone. Maybe something happened to him in his childhood and he doesn’t like to show that side of him. She loves him because she knows he would never hurt her. He’s someone she can count on. He’ll always be there to protect her and love her. He’s not like Daddy – not in some possessive and controlling way. She feels so good – safe with him. He tells her that he’ll never let anything happen to her – she’s his angel – she saved his life. Ava says he saved hers too – in ways he’ll never know.

Another flashback – Steve thinks Ava is the one that is amazing because she puts up with him. He thinks she could do a lot better. Ava replies – she’s got the best. He’s her knight in shining armour. She loves him – they’re two of a kind. She says ‘marry me’. She wants to be his wife. He can’t believe little miss wild child would want to settle down – what happened. He did. She never thought she could trust a man enough to marry him or to give him her heart and then he came him along. He taught her what love is and changed her for the better. She promises that she would be a good wife. He knows she would be a great wife. He reminds her about her father – they’re still sneaking around. What about the big wedding with all the trimmings she always wanted. She says that won’t happen so they’ll do the next best thing – Vegas – they’ll find a chapel – they could be husband and wife tonight. She talks about wanting to have a big family – she wants a boy first. Steve wants a girl that looks just like her – she’s beautiful. He reminds her that he told her he’d never leave her – he meant that – now where’s that chapel. Steve gets off the bed and pounds on the door – he wants to talk to Angelo. Angelo opens the door. Steve reminds him that Ava and he were real close at one time. She wasn’t anything like this. She needs help – she’s sick, she needs a doctor. Angelo says she has one. Steve says then she needs a better one. Angelo doesn’t need Steve telling him about Ava – he’s the reason she is the way she is. Steve knows that but he didn’t mean to hurt her – he cared about her. Angelo says if it wasn’t for Ava’s orders that he not be hurt he would kill Steve with his bare hands for what he did to her.


Brady pub: Bo and Kayla are going to watch the surveillance disk from the security cameras in the hospital parking lot. They’ll look for Hope’s car because it definitely left the lot. Kayla sees Hope’s car – they figure out Hope isn’t driving. Bo notices that Hope is slumped over in the back seat – Bo curses – what the hell did they do to her. Kayla reminds him that Steve said she was okay – what are they going to do now? Bo answers – try and figure out where they’re headed. Kayla asks how, he answers, that’s a damn good question. They talk about crazy Ava having both Steve and Hope. They get back to the question about how they’re going to figure out where Ava went after she left the hospital parking lot. Bo says bridges – in this part of the state you have to cross a bridge to get anywhere – after 911 they installed security cameras on the bridge. Kayla asks him how can they find out what is on those tapes without getting the police involved. Bo has a friend in the Dept. of Transportation – Bill Lambert. Bo calls him – he needs the footage from the bridge security cameras starting last Tuesday. They’re looking for a silver sedan – he gives the licence plate number. Bill is working on it – it will take some time but not as much time as Bo thought it would. They can type in the type of car and that’s all the system will show them – they just have to match the plates then.

Bo and Kayla are both anxious while waiting for the call back. The phone rings – Hope’s car went over a bridge into Brookeville. The bad news is that’s no small town – it’s a heavily populated area. It’s going to take time to find them. According to Victor the Vitali family makes the DiMera’s look like boy scouts and they have Hope. Kayla adds ‘and Steve.’ Kayla thinks Ava can’t be holding them both on her own – she has help. They must do business or have property in that area. Someone has to know something if they’re that big and that powerful. Bo does know someone that probably knows something about the Vitali’s – someone he knows from the streets that doesn’t have a problem talking if the price is right. Bo only has 50 bucks – what does she have. She only has $200. Earl shows up – he wants to know who Kayla is. Bo tells him she’s his sister – he wants to know about the Vitali’s. Do they have a place of business or residence in Brookville. He hands over $200 dollars – Earl asks if he’s kidding him – he doesn’t put his neck on the line for that. Bo gives him the 50 – that’s all he got. Earl says too bad – it’s not enough. Bo grabs him – the Vitali’s have his wife – if Earl doesn’t start talking he’ll break him in half. Kayla breaks them up. Earl didn’t know this was about Bo’s wife. They have a compound just north of town up on Wheeler Ridge at the end of the road. Kayla thinks that is where they are. Earl says just because the Vitali’s have a place in town that doesn’t mean that’s where they have his wife. If Bo goes in there with that temper and his guns blazing – she’s dead. Even if she’s not there – she’s dead. If they think someone is coming after them there’s no telling what they’ll do. The place is built like a fort complete with armed guards – there’s no way he’ll get in there. If he tries he’ll probably end up dead too. Earl leaves. Bo is going to leave – he isn’t going to take Kayla until she threatens to call Roman and Abe. Bo agrees to take her – they head out the door.


Kiriakis mansion: Nicole appears to be having a pleasant dream when she’s awakened by loud knocking. Philip needs to talk to her. She tells him to go away – she’ll talk to him in the morning. Philip barges in – he knows what she did. Chloe was taken to the Austrian embassy – she could be extradited back to Vienna. Nicole claims its common knowledge that they were interested in Chloe in connection to Brady’s disappearance. Philip states they’re more interested than ever and he thinks Nicole had something to do with that. Nicole doesn’t know what he’s talking about – she tells him to beat it, she needs her beauty sleep. Philip tells her to pack her bags and get out – people that cause trouble for his friends are not welcome in this house. Nicole repeats that she had nothing to do with the mess Chloe is in. They argue – Nicole is convinced that Chloe had something to do with Brady’s disappearance. Philip doesn’t believe she didn’t make the call to the consulate – he wants her out tonight. She asks him how he can be so heartless. He wonders how she could be such a lying, vindictive bitch. She tells him she’ll call her lawyer to prove that Victor’s lawyers can’t do squat after Philip tells her Vic’s lawyers will tear her up. Philip scoffs – EJ – he’ll tell her to go to hell at this time of night. Nicole makes the call.

EJ grumbles but agrees to come to the mansion. Philip can’t believe that EJ is a real lawyer. Nicole says he is – he graduated from Cambridge with top honours – she checked him out online. She offers Philip a nightcap. Philip refuses – she’s out of there tonight. She tells him to wait for her lawyer and see what he has to say about the situation. EJ shows up in her room. He wants to know the reason she called him there in the middle of the night. She says it’s an emergency like she told him – Philip is trying to kick her out of the house tonight and she needs EJ to tell him he can’t. Philip declares that EJ has nothing to say about it – this is his call. He’s throwing her out by force if necessary. EJ tells Philip that if he touches Nicole or any of her property he’s going to have him charged with assault, vandalism and theft. Philip says fine – he’ll call the cops and let them handle it. EJ explains that whether he likes it or not Nicole is his father’s current wife and she has a legitimate claim to this property. Until divorce proceedings begin and some kind of settlement is worked out that is how things will stay. EJ tells him to consider the fact that the judge may decide to turf out his father and by extension, him. Nicole says ‘told you.’ Philip states that his father wants nothing to do with her – their marriage is over. EJ points out that a Philip may say that but in the eyes of the law they aren’t even legally separated. Philip says Nicole is a menace – he gives EJ the story that Nicole called the consulate and now EJ is saying that he has to put up with this. EJ replies – whether or not this woman is the biggest pain a man ever had the misfortune to stumble across does not affect her rights. Nicole says – thank you, I think.

Philip tells Nicole to not get too comfortable – this isn’t over. EJ is sure it isn’t, but it is for him tonight. Nicole thanks him – he really came through for her – she tries to hug him but he holds her back. He tells that there will be a hefty surcharge for this – he’s not on call 24/7. Nicole says she won’t be bothering him again now that her stepson knows she can’t be gotten rid of that easily. EJ wishes Philip luck with the lady of the house – she can be a handful. Philip wants to know why EJ took her case – is he hard up? EJ likes a challenge. Philip likes a challenge too – he’ll call his lawyers in the morning to find a way to get her out of there. EJ tells him the law is law – his lawyers will tell him the same thing he’s telling him which is, you’re stuck with her.


Preview: Hope to Steve – What do you think is going to happen? Steve – They might want to get rid of the evidence. Hope – You think she’s going to kill us. Sami to EJ (John is there too) – You’re going to honour Nicole’s privacy? EJ – I’m taking the case. John – I haven’t decided if I’m going to let you. Guard to Kayla (Bo is hiding in the bushes) – Freeze – well look we got here. Kayla – I want to see Ava, now!

DiMera mansion: Sami is standing by the patio windows holding the baby monitor when EJ joins her – Ali is asleep now. They discuss why she’s not sleeping. Sami talked to the pediatrician and she thinks Ali is teething. EJ thinks it’s more a case of Ali missing him – now that he’s working he’s not around as much. Sami reminds him that Lucas is Ali’s father. She appreciates all that EJ has done but she doesn’t want Ali to become dependent on him. EJ tells Sami that Ali is a baby, she’s dependent on everyone around her. He wants to know what has got her so upset. Sami lists the reasons – Lucas is in prison for trying to kill EJ, her mother has gone on this soul-searching trip because of trying to deal with John and now she’s stuck in this house with the next generation of the evilest family that ever hit Salem. John enters and says that he and Elvis may be DiMera’s but they’re not on the same side. Sami asks John what he means. John answers that his nephew is working for the enemy. EJ wants to know why he has an issue with Mickey Horton. John doesn’t – it’s one of his clients. EJ assumes he’s talking about Nicole Kiriakis. Sami makes a snide remark about Nicole being a low-life slut – she never met a man or a wallet she didn’t like. EJ gives her ‘the look.’ LOL! John states that taking the side of a Kiriakis – there’s no loyalty in that. EJ says if John knew a little bit more about his client he wouldn’t have an issue with him taking the case.

Johnny cries so Sami leaves to look after him. EJ tells John that Nicole is a Kiriakis in name only – she may have more of a grudge against Victor than John does. She’s suing him for all the alimony she can get. John’s sources tell him that she’s living in the mansion – not very wise of Victor to let someone live there that is trying to bleed him dry. EJ informs John that Victor didn’t have a choice because he got a court order guarantying Nicole access to the premises. When it comes to community property both parties are allowed access until a settlement is reached. John wants to know more about the Kiriakis divorce. EJ can’t tell him anything because he’s bound by a law that honours the privacy of his client. Sami scoffs – he’s going to protect Nicole’s privacy – she’s the most indiscreet person she knows. Sami can’t believe that EJ is taking her case. EJ says he’s taking the case. John informs EJ that he hasn’t decided if he’s going to allow him to take the case. He isn’t sure he wants his nephew working for a Kiriakis, even one on her way out. Sami is happy – someone is finally making sense. EJ asks John why he thinks he has any say in the matter. John answers coolly – he’s the head of the family. EJ tells John – he has no say in which cases he will take or not take. He’s the head of his family and he doesn’t take orders from people like him. John retorts – yet you and your family are living under my roof enjoying my hospitality. EJ says he has a good point. He tells Sami it’s time to leave – go get her things.

Sami and EJ argue. Sami is not leaving with him. EJ asks if she’s rather live here with John. Sami says of course not but the bottom line is she can’t trust him either. How can she trust a man that makes such a bad judgement call by taking up with Nicole Walker. EJ says he’s not taking up with her, she’s his client. Sami says that Nicole is a black widow and soon EJ will be sucked into her web. EJ says the only reason he took the case was so he could provide for his family. Sami snaps – and yet you can’t. They have no money – they have nowhere to go. It’s irresponsible to consider taking the twins out in the middle of the night with no plan. She’s sorry but she can’t leave here – she won’t. John smiles – he guesses Sami isn’t a fan of Nicole’s. The story of Sami and Nicole’s past comes out – Sami tells it from her point of view – EJ tells it from Nicole’s. Sami blames Nicole for Lucas being a drunk. EJ informs John that Nicole’s version is that Lucas started drinking because Sami lied on the stand saying that Lucas had hit Will. Sami insists that everything that happened between her and Nicole is Nicole’s fault. She’ll never understand why EJ is willing to help Nicole. EJ tells her that everything he did he did for her and the twins. The baby monitor sounds again – EJ will take it. John offers to get them a nanny. Sami prefers to look after them herself. John says you don’t trust me. Sami says she’s been through a lot because of the DiMera’s. It’s tough for her to be here. Stefano wanted to raise Johnny as his own. John says you must feel really trapped living here with EJ and me. Sami tells him for a second he sounded like the old John – figuring out that she felt trapped is something the old John would have cared enough to notice. John says he notices a lot of things. Sami says so you understand why I can’t stand that EJ is representing Nicole. John understands that Nicole created obstacles and grief in her life- stands to reason that she doesn’t want anyone in her family including Elvis being involved with her. Sami knows she will feel better when her mother gets home. John tells her to not to worry – her and her children are safe here. He asks if she talked to her mother before she left.

Sami doesn’t know where she went and even if she knew she wouldn’t tell him. She needs time to think. John understands. Sami doesn’t think any of them can understand what it feels like for her – she buried him and then he came back to life but he’s not the man she was in love with for all those years. She has to figure out if she can face a future without that man. John wonders what conclusion Sami thinks her mother will come to. Sami won’t guess. She leaves to check on the twins. EJ comes back down – John tells him he’s reconsidered EJ representing Nicole Kiriakis. EJ thinks that’s very big of him. John says that during EJ and Sami’s tirade about Nicole he detected a hint of jealousy. EJ says you’re suggesting that my wife’s anger isn’t because of her past relationship with Nicole but because of my current one. John says it would probably kill Sami to lose another man to that woman, even him. EJ says that’s very interesting. John thought he’d see it that way – never say that he doesn’t look out for his family.


Vitali compound: Hope is brought into Steve’s room. She tells Steve something is going on – they’re on high alert. Ava talks to Angelo outside Steve and Hope’s room – he tells her the perimeter has been breached. Ava wants to know if the intruders came for Patch and Kayla. Steve is listening at the door and tells Hope it sounds like good news – they have company. Outside on the grounds Bo grimaces in pain. Kayla starts lecturing. Bo tells her to stop just as the dogs start barking and the alarm sounds. They hide in the bushes. Bo is in pain – Kayla says he’s in no condition to be doing this – she has a simpler way they can go about this. Bo won’t agree to her plan – if something happened to her Steve would never forgive him and he would never forgive himself. Inside both Steve and Hope eavesdrop on the conversation in the hallway. Angelo assures Ava they’ll find out who’s out there – it’s the two in the bedroom he’s worried about. If her father finds out they have company he’ll start asking questions. Ava starts panicking – if Daddy finds out she’s got Patch and his wife here he’ll call Dr. Nussbaum and have her locked up for a long time. Angelo says then you know what we got to do. Inside the room Steve says Angelo seems to be calling the shots – they’ll want to get rid of the evidence. Hope realises that Ava is going to kill them.

Ava doesn’t like what Angelo is suggesting but she doesn’t want Daddy finding out either – he’ll go ballistic. Angelo says they don’t have a choice. Two guards show up and Angelo tells them that as soon as they find the intruders they’re to bring them to him. They leave. Ava says no Angelo – after the mess with the plane she doesn’t want any more blood on her hands. Angelo says they have to do whatever they can to keep her father from finding out. Inside the room Steve asks Hope if she’s ready. She is – let’s do it. Steve knocks on the door and calls out for Ava. He wants to talk to her – it’s important – it’s about ‘us.’ Outside Bo and Kayla are still arguing. Bo insists her plan is too damn risky but Kayla walks out towards the guards. They shine a flashlight in her face and point guns at her. She informs them she wants to see Ava – now! Back inside Angelo doesn’t want Ava to talk to Steve but she orders him to unlock the door. Steve tells her that he’s ready for them to be together again. Ava asks about ‘her’ and nods in Hope’s direction. Steve says he’s explained things to Kayla. Hope yells that he’s making a big mistake. Steve asks Ava if she wants to split – go somewhere. Angelo tells her it’s not a good time. Steve can see there’s some tension here – maybe now is not a good time. He tells Ava he’s had time to think – he remembers how good they were together – does she. A series of boring flashbacks follows. Steve wants them to get out of there. Ava wants to but there’s his wife … she has to deal with her. Steve tells Ava to let her go – she means nothing to them. Ava says what about the baby – Steve says they’ll have their own babies. Ava gets one of her painful headaches. Angelo wants her to take her medicine – Ava screams no. Outside Kayla tells the guard she’s just come to retrieve her husband – Steve Johnson. The guard says that’s impossible – you’re lying. Kayla insists that she is Steve’s wife and she wants to talk to Ava right now.

Steve yells at Angelo to stay back and then tries to talk to Ava. Ava doesn’t want any more blood on her hands – she hurt so many people in the plane crash. Steve tells her she doesn’t have to hurt anyone else. Ava wants to know how they can be together if his wife is still alive. Steve tells her to let her walk out of there … Hope yells what are you doing? How can you be with a woman who murdered my father. Angelo tries to get Ava to take her medicine. Steve tells him to back off – Ava is trying to sort out her feelings. Angelo tells Steve to back off – it was Ava’s feelings for him that got her in trouble in the first place. Angelo pushes Steve out of the way but Steve grabs him and punches him. Angelo pulls his gun out. The guards can’t get hold of Angelo so they decide to take Kayla to Ava. Bo jumps out of the bush and knocks out both guards. Bo handcuffs the guards and Kayla throws their keys into the bushes. Kayla asks if he’s alright – he isn’t. She tells him that as soon as they get Hope and Steve out of there he’s going to see Daniel. Bo agrees – as soon as they get them out they’ll call the cops. Kayla thinks they should call the cops before they go in but Bo doesn’t think so – Ava’s men will kill Hope and Steve. Angelo tells Steve it’s not up to him whether Ava takes her pills or not – he threw her away like yesterday’s trash. The poor thing has been suffering since he left – he’s finally going to get revenge for what Patch did to his cousin. He hits Steve with the gun … fade out and fade in to Hope yelling at Steve to wake up. She’s tied to a chair and Steve is tied up on the floor. Hope thought that it was all over there for a moment – Steve says it will be soon. Ava and Angelo come back in. Angelo tells them that Ava made this mess and he’s going to clean it up. He gets a report on the radio – two guards were found knocked out – whoever breached the compound is inside. Angelo gives orders to find them and bring them to him – if they resist – shoot them.

Angelo locks the door to the room Steve and Hope are in as he gives more orders. He tells Ava to stay put. She hugs him – she’s so sorry – she picks his pocket and gets the keys to the room. He leaves – another flashback. She goes insides the room – Steve asks her to untie them. She crouches in front of him – she can’t do that. He says untie us and we can still have that life we talked about. She tells him don’t – he never meant anything he said. She wants him to admit that he never loved her – it’s always been Kayla. Steve tells her to just listen … she says what – you’ll talk me into letting you go and then you’ll turn me into the police. The intruders that are here, they’re here for you and Kayla, right? Bo says that’s right. Ava turns around – Bo and Kayla are in the doorway with their guns pointed at her. Bo yells at Ava to get the hell away from them. Bo unties Hope and Kayla unties Steve – stuffing her gun under the cushion. Steve hugs and kisses Kayla. Ava asks – who the hell are you. Kayla says I’m Steve’s wife Kayla. Ava points to Hope and says no, she is. Kayla informs Ava that she kidnapped the wrong woman – that’s her sister-in-law Hope. Hope tells them they have to hurry – Angelo will be back soon. Kayla doubles over in pain – Ava grabs the gun and yells hey – and shoots Hope.


Preview: Philip to Nicole – You’ve been gone for over two years. You could have come back any time but you chose now. Did something happen in Los Angeles? Max is sleeping – his bedroom window is opened and someone enters the room – Max wakes up and turns towards the intruder …

Max’s bedroom: Stephanie sneaks in through the window and wakes up Max. She’s worried because her mother hasn’t come home – she’s been discharged from the hospital. (It’s 3:15 in the morning). She wonders if crazy Ava kidnapped her. Max lists some places she could be but Stephanie has checked them all. Max comes to the conclusion that Bo and Kayla must have gone to look for Steve together. Stephanie wants to call the cops but Max doesn’t think it’s such a good idea. They know that Ava is a member of a crime family and neither Steve nor Bo chose to call the cops. Max is sure they can handle it on their own. Stephanie isn’t but makes the decision to not call the cops for now. Max suggests that she stay with him for the little of the night that is remaining – just sleeping. She gets into his bed and tells him she feels safe with him.


Kiriakis mansion: Nicole comes down the stairs and has a flashback to overhearing Chloe and Philip’s conversation about Brady. Philip is sitting in the dark having a drink. Nicole puts the lights on and proceeds to pour herself a drink. Insults are exchanged. Philip wonders if she should be having another drink – she wonders how many he has. She asks Philip how Sami ended up with a guy like EJ. Philip cautions her that one minute the DiMera’s are your friends and the next … She thinks it’s sweet that he’s so concerned about her. He wants to know why she came back now – she’s been in LA for over two years. She gives him the story about coming back to claim what is rightfully hers but Philip knows there is more to it – he pushes for the truth. She tells him the partnership with Austin didn’t work out. He wants to know why – Nicole is going to give him an answer that is a lie but before she can do that Chloe returns. Chloe accuses Nicole of calling the consulate – Nicole plays innocent. Chloe slings insults and accusations – Nicole returns the insults and spews out her denials but eventually admits she did make the call because she truly believes that Chloe is responsible. When Nicole says Brady didn’t want to stay with Chloe because he knew she was a pathetic washed up hack – Chloe attacks. Philip breaks up the fight. He tells them like it or not they have to learn how to live under the same roof or they’ll both be thrown out. Nicole reminds him he can’t do that to her. Philip suggests that Chloe call it a night – he wants to talk to Nicole. After Chloe is gone Philip tells Nicole he wants her to work for him. After spelling it out that he is his father’s sole heir (she won’t get a dime) and Victor plans to drag out the divorce until he dies or Nicole runs out of money trying to cut through all the red tape Nicole agrees to work for him. Philip wants her to spy on someone for him and in exchange he’ll make sure she gets the divorce she wants with a big enough settlement that she’ll never have to work again.


Vitali compound: There’s a replay of the ending of yesterday’s show – Hope still ends up being shot. Bo is going to shoot Ava but Steve stops him and disarms Ava. Kayla examines Hope – the bullet entered her shoulder – doesn’t appear to have hit an artery based on the amount of blood loss. Ava is unconscious and tied to a chair. The fearless foursome decide they better get out of there before Ava’s goons return. Ava has another dreary flashback and then comes to and sounds the alarm – conveniently the panic button is right next to her knee (rolling my eyes). A standoff between Steve and Bo’s guns and the goons guns follows – Hope passes out and this gives the goons the opportunity to get the best of them. They’re returned to the room and Ava orders her men to untie her. She looks at Kayla and says you’re Patch’s wife … Kayla responds and you’re the crazy ex-girlfriend. Ava doesn’t like being called crazy – her head starts hurting. She calms down and orders her guards to kill them all. She walks out but Steve calls out to her. Ava asks him if he has some more lying words. He tells her that she doesn’t want to hurt anymore innocent people. This is his fault. Hurt him. Bo and Hope are his friends and they just tried to help him. The only mistake Kayla made was marrying him. He knows that Ava couldn’t kill an innocent baby. Ava claps and asks him why the long story – he’s still going to die. Kayla gets off the bed and Ava goes after and pushes her down. Steve tells Ava that if she wants to hurt someone, hurt me. She grabs one of the guard’s guns and points it at him – Kayla screams no. Angelo intervenes – her daddy wouldn’t like it if she were the one to do the killing. Ava says he’s right – she wants him to kill them all. Steve says the Ava he fell in love with wasn’t like this. If she kills them all she’s a monster. Angelo again states that its Steve’s fault Ava is this way. Ava wants them gone – kill them. Hope says wait – if we’re going to die we’d like to know why. Tell us why we should hate Steve for getting us all killed. Kayla thinks Ava owes them that much. Ava doesn’t agree with that but she’ll tell them. She warns them that the story doesn’t end well.

Vitali compuound: Ava starts out telling the story of her wedding day - the day she was to marry Patch. She talks about how happy she was - she was marrying her soul-mate. She talked about how she felt about him and how she believed he felt the same way. She then tells Steve to tell the rest of the story. He tells her that when she started walking down the aisle towards him he could tell she was so happy - this was the happiest day of her life. He realised that he didn't feel the same - he got this sick feeling in his stomach - he started having these flashes of another wedding. He didn't know what they were he just knew he couldn't go through with marrying her. Without even realising he had done it he had taken a step back and then another and then he ran outside. He had more of those flashes of another wedding, another bride. He was going to go back inside when these two guys grabbed him and dragged him away. He felt terrible that he never got to explain to her what had happened. Ava doesn't believe him - she wants to know what happened next. All he can tell her is what happened before he met her. He tells her about what Stefano did to him - how he held him prisoner for years. He escaped and didn't know where to go - or what to do - he had no idea who he was or where he came from. Then he met her - she gave him a life - he did fall in love with her. By the time he's finished talking he's crying, Ava's crying and Kayla is crying. Ava tells them what happened to her - she waited and waited and then ran out to look for him and realised he wasn't coming back. The next thing she remembers is being in a hospital for a long, long time and then Daddy bringing her back here and keeping her prisoner for her own good. Steve tells her he's sorry. That's not good enough for Ava - she tells Angelo to kill them.


Kiriakis mansion: Philip informs Nicole that John Black is the person he wants her to spy on. They out for breakfast. Kate brings Chelsea home from the pub - she didn't look good. Chelsea collapses. Dr. Dan comes rushing in (he had seen them at the pub and noticed that Chelsea wasn't looking very good). She has a fever - the ambulance arrives. Morgan shows up. Chelsea comes to on the stretcher - oh, Doctor - don't leave me (barf).


Brady pub: Kate, Chelsea and Dr. Dan are there briefly - the topic of conversation is the fact that Chelsea looks pale and feels clammy. The Nicole / John scenes are really a lot of fun - John is on to her though. Paul has breakfast there with Morgan and then chats briefly with John again (he had seen John earlier at the mansion where John promised Paul that he would make sure Paul was back on top but then Paul would owe him).


Preview: Kate to Daniel (in Chelsea's hospital room) I think you need to start talking, now! Sami to EJ - Until you drop Nicole you're not going to the park or anywhere with your son. Ava (with her goons) to the foursome - You all love your Pop so much, huh. Why do we arrange a little reunion in hell. (To Angelo) - I want them dead.

Hospital: Lexie and Daniel both concur that Chelsea is having complications from the surgery. Kate wants details but of course they have nothing to say until the test results come in. Nick shows up – after Dr. Dan insists Chelsea needs her rest they hang in the waiting room as Dr. Dan proceeds to have a prolonged conversation with the patient that needs to have her rest. Wrong time to showcase his mid-life crisis if you ask me – the teen surfer dude act has got to go. Chelsea has a sick fantasy about Dr. Dan and then when Nick and Kate come back in to see her she treats them like dirt. Somewhere in all that mess one set of test results come back and Dr. Dan doesn’t look happy – he gets the rest of the results and tells Lexie that it doesn’t look good.


DiMera mansion: EJ comes home from work excited about the office Mickey gave him. He wants Sami to come with him to some second hand shops. She tells him she’s taking the twins to the park. EJ will go to – Sami tells him not to bother – he’s not coming with them. He reminds her of what happened the last time she took them to the park alone – Johnny wouldn’t stop crying and Ali got a rash. Sami asks him if he’s saying she can’t look after her babies. He isn’t saying that – it’s just easier if they’re both there. He thought they had agreed that they were going to spend more time together as a family. He would really like to go. Sami asks about his client – shouldn’t he be sitting around waiting for her call. EJ can’t believe that this is about Nicole. Sami specifically asked him not to take the case. EJ thought they had this conversation last night. He reminds her that her behaviour almost got them kicked out of Chez Rouge. Sami tells him he’s acting like Nicole was an innocent victim. EJ thinks they both acted like a couple of babies. Sami wants to know why she’s the one getting the lecture. EJ responds – because you’re my wife. Sami tells only to impress a government employee. EJ apologises – can they forget about last night. Sami wants to know if that means he’s going to call Nicole and drop her as a client.

EJ is not going to do that. Sami scoffs – she guesses they know what his priorities are. He tells her not to question his priorities. His priorities are her and the children – that’s why he took this job in the first place. They have no other income. Sami says job, yes, working with the devil no. EJ thinks her exaggeration about Nicole is ridiculous. Sami snaps and tells him to ask Victor what he felt like when Nicole tried to have him killed. EJ asks if he should get some bodyguards. Sami says this isn’t a joke – she’s worried about the safety of her children. EJ tells her that Nicole won’t be anywhere near the children. Sami says Nicole will think of ways to be around here all the time if only to irritate her. EJ says it’s a simple divorce – it will only take a few weeks. Sami thinks Nicole will drag it out. EJ will bill her by the hour then – can they please just go out. Sami says no – until he drops Nicole he’s not going to the park or anywhere with his son. EJ says how dare you blackmail me with my own son. Sami informs him that he’s her son too. She gave him a choice – what he does it with his decision. EJ says you know what you could do to really rub it in and give yourself the upper hand – why don’t you say I hit Johnny. Do the same thing to me that you did to Lucas. Sami says she’ll have to thank Nicole for telling him that story. EJ wasn’t that surprised when he heard it. Sami asks him if he’s daring her to play dirty because she’s fine with that. EJ says no – can they please stop this stupid, petty fighting. Sami holds the appointment with the immigration officer over his head – there are so many things she would like to tell him. EJ knows she won’t do that – she doesn’t want both of her children growing up with a father. Sami tells him he’s in for a hell of a surprise. EJ says strangely enough I think that maybe for once Uncle John was right. Sami asks about what. EJ says the real reason you don’t want me working with Nicole – you’re jealous.

Sami laughs that off – how could he think that. EJ says Nicole is very attractive. Sami makes insulting remarks about Nicole – EJ points out the obvious – all the men in Chez Rouge took notice of her. EJ really is having fun with this – he wants her to admit that a part of her doesn’t want him working with a beautiful, soon to be single girl. Sami asks if he’s already falling for Nicole. EJ says no, he’s just making an observation. Sami says if you want Nicole, fine. Just remember you can’t have everything. She leaves. EJ chuckles.


Vitali compound: Wacky Ava loses it even more – screaming and hitting Steve – he did this to her. Both Kayla and Steve tell her to stop – the yelling continues. Ava tells Steve that she loved him – they were going to have a house and kids together and then he ruined it. He ruined her family. Steve says it wasn’t intentional. Ava screams say you’re sorry. He does but she cries that she will never forgive him. Bo tells Steve they have to get out of there or bad things are going to happen. Ava asks Kayla what she thinks of her husband now – he’s not the man she thought he was. Kayla is sure that he didn’t mean to hurt him. Ava is upset that she is defending him. Bo says he’s known Steve most of his life … Hope cuts him off. She tells Ava she knows she is hurting – they want to help. Ava laughs – they think she’s crazy. Hope says they don’t think she’s crazy – she can get treatment. Ava has had treatment – looked up in a padded cell, pumped full of drugs – they took great care of her. She looks at Steve – this is his fault. She screams that she hates all of them and smashes a vase, cutting her hand.

Ava is off in fantasy land as she caresses Steve’s face. He was the most handsome man she had ever seen. She couldn’t wait for them to spend the rest of their lives together – kiss the bride – she talks about where and how they were going to spend their honeymoon – in bed. She asks him if hears that – they’re playing their song – let’s dance. She’s in la-la land and then she sees Kayla. Ava cries – who invited you here – this is my day. Steve tries to quiet her down but Ava says you married her – she screams at Kayla that you destroyed my life. Kayla is crying but she yells back – what about the life you destroyed – my Pop. Ava says the plane wasn’t supposed to go down. Kayla says it did – she holds Ava personally responsible. Ava is sorry. Kayla says you’re sorry – by holding us all hostage? Ava says none of this would have happened if she hadn’t taken her man. Steve tells Ava it wasn’t Kayla’s fault. Ava points at Hope – she tricked me. They all tricked her – thought they could pull a fast one on the crazy lady. The jokes on them – they all miss their Pop so much why don’t they arrange a reunion in hell. She wants them all dead. Do it. Kayla yells – listen to me – you’re a good person – you’ve had some bad knocks – you couldn’t kill an innocent baby. She takes Ava’s hand and places it on her stomach – do you feel that? You tell George to put the gun down.

Kayla says this baby didn’t do anything to you. She understands that she’s angry – they’re all sorry for what happened to her. Ava feels the baby kick. Steve pulls Angelo aside. They have to help Ava. If they all die, she’s responsible – the guilt will eat her alive. Angelo says Steve lied to her – as far as he’s concerned this is the sanest thing she’s done in a long time. Steve asks him if he wants to see his cousin spend the rest of her life behind bars. Angelo asks him if he’s heard of temporary insanity. Steve is trying to protect her – he doesn’t think Angelo is. There’s still a chance for Ava and he thinks Angelo believes that too. She’s a good girl – she’s not a cold blooded killer like her old man. Angelo tells George to put the gun down and tells Ava that they ought to rethink this. Let’s discuss it. Ava doesn’t want to. Angelo tells her he doesn’t want her to get hurt. Steve adds – they only want what’s best for her. Ava answers – you were best for me – all she ever wanted was him now look at her. Bo & Hope are tied up – back to back, same with Steve and Kayla. They check how they’re doing. Steve is really sorry. Bo says if you want to make it up to us you get the next round at the Cheating Heart. As they talk Hope is fighting to stay conscious. Bo says they’ve been in tighter jams than this before. Hopes passes out. They discuss the fact that both Chelsea and Stephanie will be worried so that means they’ll be looking for them. Bo says they better get there quick – Hope doesn’t have much time. When Hope doesn’t respond they realise she’s unconscious. Bo tells her to wake up – no luck. They tell George to untie them – Hope needs to get to the hospital. George checks her pulse – still breathing – nothing to worry about. Bo stomps on George’s foot – untie them. George pistol-whips Bo – he’s out for the count.

Steve asks Kayla if she thinks Hope is going to be alright. She tells him it’s a clean wound – less risk of infection but she lost a lot of blood. They need to get her to the hospital. Ava and Angelo come in – Angelo checks both Bo and Hope – their pulses are strong – they’re fine. Steve tells Ava his friends need help – they need to be at the hospital. Ava replies – Angelo says they’re fine – just forget about them. She has good news – she made a decision that affects everyone. Kayla asks – you’re letting us go. Ava says no – she’s gotten used to having them around. She’s not going to kill them. Steve says that’s good news – now untie us. Ava wants a thank you. Steve wants to know how long she plans on keeping them locked up there, days, weeks? She says more like months, 9 months – no maybe not 9. She asks Kayla how far along her pregnancy is. Kayla asks her why she cares. Ava looks surprised as she answers – because you’re my surrogate. That baby you’re carrying is mine. She really hopes it’s going to be a boy because she has all these boys names picked out. Kayla asks her if she really thinks she’ll let her have her baby. Ava says yes – she knows it will be difficult at first but it’s not like she doesn’t already have a kid. Now they’ll both have one. Kayla says you’re crazier than I thought. Ava talks to Patch – she hopes the baby has mostly his genes – she just loves his smile. Steve says there is no way you’re taking our baby. Ava says consider it payback for ruining my life – it’s a fair trade. Kayla says you won’t get away with this. Ava shrugs – I guess we’ll have to see about that. She starts walking out then stops – there’s one thing she forget to mention. She looks at Kayla and says once you have my baby I’ll decide then who gets to live and who dies. She walks out. Steve tells Kayla he’s sorry.


Preview: Jillian (the fitness trainer) to Nicole (Maggie & Sami are there as well) – These days we like to say no investment, no return and it looks like your assets are bottoming out. Kate to Daniel – Is she really going to be alright? Daniel – Well I’ll do my damndest to make sure. Philip to Morgan – John has ruined your father’s job and reputation. If he keeps hitching his future to John things will get much worse.

DiMera mansion: Sami enters the living room and is surprised to see it’s John in the room, she thought it was EJ. He deadpans – he could see how she could make that mistake. Sami is uncomfortable in shirtless John’s presence. John puts on a sleeveless sweat shirt. Sami asks if EJ was still at the gym when he left– John doesn’t know. Sami goes upstairs. EJ enters and whispers, ‘is Sami here?’ John says no and wants to know why they’re whispering. EJ doesn’t want Sami to know he’s at home – he heads to another room. John gets to work – Marlena enters. He asks about her vacation and then immediately asks if she reached a decision about the two of them. She has – she has decided she has to accept him as he is. John wants to celebrate. Marlena doesn’t think so – she will not give up on the old John. She caresses his cheek and then pulls away. He asks her what she is afraid of – he thinks she’s afraid she might like the new John better than the old John. From what he heard the old John was just dial tone. Marlena doesn’t think so. She goes to the front entrance where she has put down all her bags. She’s going to take a long, hot bubble bath. John mentions that he didn’t shower at the gym – they should conserve water – he’ll join her and wash all those hard to reach places. Marlena thinks she can manage. John pulls out a black lace negligee – she bought this for him – is she going to model it for him. EJ and Sami walk in on them as Marlena is trying to get her purchase back from John.

Sami and Marlena chat – Marlena has some stuff for the twins. They grab some of the bags and head up the stairs. John follows with another bag – he orders Rolf to bring the rest of the stuff up. Rolf goes into the living room and looks at the picture of Stefano – he doesn’t think he likes the monster Stefano created. He pulls out the disk and has a flashback to Stefano commenting that all of John’s memories are on the disk. Marlena almost catches him with it – he tells her the picture of Stefano was crooked. Marlena quips – just like the man himself. Rolf thinks she is very funny – he leaves. Sami comes in and thanks her mom for the gifts. She also asks about her mother’s other little purchase – she’s so busted. Sami is worried about her mom – John is not the same man – she doesn’t want her to get hurt. Marlena assures her she can take care of herself. Sami hates to tell her this but all men are pigs – especially EJ. She tells Marlena about Nicole showing up at Chez Rouge. She says she practically begged EJ not to take Nicole’s case. She doesn’t want Nicole sinking her claws into EJ. Marlena thinks she is jealous. Sami denies that – the only feeling she has for EJ is anger. She’s tired of everyone saying she’s jealous. Marlena thinks Sami has feelings for EJ. Sami admits she cares for him because he’s Johnny’s father. Sami thought Marlena hated EJ because of what he did to her. Marlena will always hate what EJ did to Sami because it caused her so much pain but she believes people can change. She doesn’t think that Sami realises what a huge deal it was for EJ to sacrifice his relationship with his father to tell them that John was alive and where he was. She will always be grateful to him for that. EJ (who has been eavesdropping) – walks in and tells Sami she should listen to her mother. Sami accuses him of eavesdropping – he denies it – he overheard them as he was walking from point A to point B. John comes in as the argument escalates and tells them to be quiet. (Nicole is mentioned and the fact that Sami tried to rearrange Nicole’s face). Johnny starts to cry – John packs up his files and laptop and moves to another room. Sami is going to go upstairs to look in on Johnny but Marlena takes the baby monitor from Sami. She’ll attend to Johnny – it’s time for Sami to stop running from her problems. EJ gets a call – Sami hears him mention the immigration officer’s name. She heads into the living room.


Brady pub: Morgan is there to put up some flyers about a recycling project the Theta house is involved in. Max is working – they talk. Morgan is down about her father’s legal problems. Max hugs her – Stephanie comes in and sees them hugging. She’s jealous. Max tells Stephanie that he and Morgan are just friends – she needed a hug – she’s worried about her father. Stephanie is worried about her mom and dad – she hasn’t heard from them – no one has. Max hugs her. One of Ava’s goons calls in – he’s watching the Johnson girl. Angelo tells him to stay with her – they may need her as insurance. Max serves the two ladies apple pie a la mode – Morgan touches his hand – Stephanie decides she needs to go out and get her cell phone. When she returns Max calls her on her jealousy. Stephanie doesn’t think an ex-girlfriend should be so touchy-feely. Max says that is just Morgan’s way – he points out that she’s doing the same thing with the guy she’s talking to now. He thinks Stephanie owes Morgan an apology. She thinks so too. Stephanie and Morgan both apologise to each other. Morgan asks Stephanie if she has told Max that she loves him – when Stephanie says not yet Morgan suggests she do it now. Stephanie goes to Max and tells him she wants to tell him the way she feels about him. She then she decides she can’t – she always thought they’d be alone when she did this. Besides he’s busy – lunches to serve – drinks to deliver. Max goes into the kitchen – the lights go out. He tells everyone they’re having trouble with the power so he has to close – lunch is on the house. Everyone except Morgan and Stephanie leaves. Max puts the lights on – Morgan takes that as her cue to leave. Stephanie tells Max she had this all planned out – she has had 6 months to think about it. She tells him she loves him. He doesn’t respond – she thinks she freaked him out. Max wants to know how she planned it – she says she thought they’d be alone on a beach at sunset, there would be music – they’d have wine and cheese … they’d be on a blanket … Max pulls out some wine – turns on some music and tells her it’s not like she imagined it … He tells her he loves her. They kiss and dance and kiss – the goon watches through the window.


Vitali compound: Angelo and Mikey come into the room Kayla is in. She demands to know about the others. Angelo tells her they’re alive – someone is looking after Hope’s gunshot wound. They’re going to move her into a different room. Kayla refuses. Angelo threatens her but Kayla says she knows he wouldn’t hurt her – she’s pregnant with the baby Ava wants. She demands to see Ava. Ava comes into the room and tells Angelo and Mikey to leave them alone. Ava taunts Kayla that it has to be hard on her knowing that her husband is in love with another woman. Kayla tells Ava that Steve was a different person when he was with her – that Steve isn’t coming back. Ava declares he was a man with an edge – he’ll be that man again. Kayla tells her that he won’t and she thinks Ava knows that. Ava pops a pill. Kayla asks her what she’s taking and who prescribes them. After some questions Ava hands the pills over. She thinks Kayla doesn’t give a damn about her. Kayla insists she does care – Ava wants to raise her baby and Kayla just wants to make sure Ava is well. Also no one should have to live like this – locked in a room – a prisoner. How do the pills make her feel – relaxed or agitated. Ava says they relax her. Kayla wants more information – Ava answers that she’s seen half the doctors in the state – what makes Kayla think she can help. Kayla has dealt with a lot of people in her condition. Ava asks – you mean crazy people like me. Kayla doesn’t think Ava is crazy. She asks Ava – when did you try to kill yourself.

Ava says it was right after Patch left her. She wished it would have worked. She’s been on suicide watch ever since. Kayla wants to know what the diagnosis was. Ava tells her it was ‘brief psychotic disorder’ – she thinks the doctor just made that up. Kayla tells her no – there is such an illness – it’s triggered by a single traumatic event but it’s only supposed to last for about a month – it’s been years. She wonders if Ava was misdiagnosed. Ava insists her Daddy hired her doctor – he wouldn’t hire a quack. Ava accuses Kayla of wanting the information so she can turn Patch against her. Kayla tells her that Steve asked her to help Ava – he wants her to get better. Kayla thinks the pills are doing her more harm than good – they don’t relax her – they agitate her. Ava tells Kayla it’s her that agitates her – she calls Angelo to take Kayla to her room. Mikey does as ordered. Ava asks Angelo about Patch. He’s out cold but should be coming too soon. Ava thinks they had some up close and personal time.


Preview: Chelsea – Don’t worry about me, I’m in excellent hands (as she drools over Dr. Dan). Philip to John – There was a time not long ago when I respected you. John – And now you’re going to respect me in a whole new way. Naked Ava in bed with naked Steve (who is just coming to) – It’s about time sleepy head. Welcome back to the good, old days.

DiMera mansion: John tells Paul they have to strike now while Victor is distracted. Paul thinks it’s harsh – the man’s granddaughter is very ill. Marlena comes in. She wonders what they’re up to now – she knows that they were responsible for the Kiriakis shipments being placed in quarantine – what she wants to know is what they are up to now. John lies – they’re just talking. Philip enters. He’s not surprised to see Paul there. Paul goes all righteous on Philip – Philip and his father framed him. Philip points out that you can’t frame a guilty man. Paul leaves. Philip wants to talk. John suggests Marlena leave – she won’t. Philip tells John that the DiMera’s and Kiriakis’s have always co-existed – why can’t it remain that way. John doesn’t want it that way – he thinks the Kirakis’s have shipping interests all over the world – he just wants the Salem Port. Philip knows that John wouldn’t understand – Salem is Victor’s home. He talks about all the things that Victor has done for the city, hospital wings, buildings on the university campus, concert halls, etc. John says that Salem is his home – he suggests that Philip and Victor step aside. Marlena thinks they should keep to the old arrangement – John barks at her that she has no say in the matter. Marlena argues back – they are married, they have a family – she doesn’t want them put in the middle of a war. Philip tells John he should be proud of himself – he’s a true DiMera. John denies that – he’s not a Brady or a DiMera – he’s just himself. Philip tells Marlena he feels sorry for her – he leaves. Marlena is upset and disappointed – she tells John not everything is about winning. It is for him – business is what he lives for – what he wakes up for. Marlena will give him something else to live for – she kisses him. She decided while away that she would be more aggressive in trying to get him to remember. They kiss again – John breaks it off. He has to get ready for his hot date.


Hospital: Chelsea still has a fever, she still is drooling over Dr. Dan. Abe is there talking to Lexie about Bo, Hope, Steve and Kayla. They talk about the Vitali family. Abe questions Chelsea – she knows something is wrong because Bo and Hope would be there at the hospital with her if they could. Abe will find them. Tony comes to talk to Kate about the commercial they are going to shoot in a few days. Chelsea and Dr. Dan convince Kate to talk to Tony – Chelsea needs her rest. Kate can’t focus on the commercial – only on Chelsea. Yawn.


Vitali compound: Steve comes to and realizes he’s naked in bed –wth. Ava welcomes him back to the good old days. Steve wants to know where his clothes are – how are the others. Ava keeps telling him everyone else is fine as Steve keeps firing off questions. She also tells him that Kayla agreed with her – she deserves the baby as payback for everything Steve did to her. Steve finally has his pants on and Ava puts on a robe. Ava waxes poetically about their great love – Steve tells her that Kayla is the one for him. If Ava ever really cared for him she’d let them go. He isn’t Patch anymore – he’s Steve Johnson. He’s a stranger to her – she doesn’t know him at all. She can’t do that. She hasn’t been well since Patch left. The only thing that will make her better is to be with him – she can’t give up – she won’t. Steve will then. He’ll stay with her and give her a baby if she lets the others go. He’ll have sex with her right now if that is what she wants. She doesn’t – she wants to make love to him – she’s wants all of his heart and soul. He tells her that will never happen. He’ll stay with her but she has to know that he loves his wife. She agrees – let’s make a baby. They start kissing and end up on the bed.


Preview: John to Marlena – My date is with Nicole Kiriakis. Marlena – Oh. Nicole to Victor – You should still be nice to me Victor. Victor – Why is that? Nicole – Because you don’t want me to tell everyone your dirty little secret, now do you? Kayla bursting in on Steve and Ava in bed kissing – Steve. Steve – Oh god, Kayla. Kayla – What the hell is going on in here?

DiMera mansion: John is lighting candles when Marlena comes into the living room. Who are they dining with tonight? John reminds her that he has a date. Marlena wants to know with whom – John answers - Nicole. She asks if it’s a dinner date or business. It’s a hot date. She states that married people don’t date. He tells her jealousy becomes her – it’s very sexy. Marlena is not jealous – she is upset. He’s her husband and he should act like it. John says she should too – wives sleep with their husbands. Marlena says the date with Nicole is about sex. He wouldn’t have asked Nicole over if he had something better to do. After some more words are exchanged he tells her he was toying with her – this evening is strictly business. Marlena wants to join them – John doesn’t want her there. John flirts with Nicole – Nicole flirts back. Nicole was surprised to see Marlena there – she didn’t realize they still lived together. John doesn’t want to talk about his relationship with Marlena – he wants to talk about the two of them and how good they can be together. Marlena gasps as she eavesdrops – she grabs Rolf and tells him she holds him personally responsible for what’s happening in there. She wants him to reverse John’s memory loss. Rolf says it’s not possible. Marlena doesn’t trust him – Rolf is an arrogant man – he would have documented everything he did. She knows he can bring her husband back and soon she’ll find out how by herself. She goes back to eavesdropping.

John starts talking about flying Nicole to Napa and then Paris on Saturday – they’ll stay overnight in Napa and then fly for a week long vacation to Paris. Nicole hopes that won’t disrupt his schedule too much. She knows that he and Victor are in engaged in war for control of the docks. John says it took you long enough – you’re here to spy on me. She didn’t think her tasteless dress and painfully embarrassing come-ons would get him to open up about his private affairs, did she? Nicole plays innocent – she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. John wants to know if she’s working for Victor or little Philip. John deduces it was Philip. Nicole calls John paranoid – she gets up to leave. Marlena enters. Nicole tells Marlena that she’s sorry for her loss – this man is nothing like the old John. Maybe she should get John some help – he needs it. Marlena says so do you – she’s still married and so is John. She says it must be hard to admit you’re a spy. Nicole tells Marlena she’s just as crazy as John is. John and Marlena then bond by insulting Nicole. Nicole leaves and then John and Marlena congratulate each other on how impressive they are. John and Marlena continue gloating. John says this is significant – Marlena is beginning to accept him. Marlena plays coy. John coldly states that Philip made a pathetic attempt to infiltrate his organization (somehow Marlena uses this info to flirt with John). John continues – Philip and Victor have proven to be very disappointing adversaries. He just wanted control – he wanted them to roll over but they didn’t, they fought back and now he’s going to put an end to this.


Hospital: Victor comes into Chelsea’s room and is informed that Chelsea has been taken for more tests. The nurse leaves and an angry Nicole enters – what part of still being married doesn’t he understand. He is not kicking her out of her house. Victor calmly replies – I just did. Victor tells her if she tries to enter the mansion he’ll have her arrested. She reminds him that both her lawyer and his lawyer said she had the right to be there. Victor doesn’t think so and he’s what counts. Nicole will take him to court – if he wants to play dirty bring it on. Nicole asks if he threw out Chloe too – he did, he threw out all the trash. Nicole warns him that he should still be nice to her because he doesn’t want her to tell everyone his dirty little secret, does he? Victor proceeds to insult Nicole – she gives as good as she gets. She tells him that she knows his secret – the one that would destroy his family if it came out. Victor declares he has no secrets. Nicole scoffs. Victor thinks she’s bluffing – do what she has to do. She says – don’t worry, I will. Philip comes from the pub to talk to Victor about throwing out both Nicole and Chloe. He thought they had agreed to let the lawyers take care of Nicole. Victor changed his mind. What about Chloe – she’s his guest. Victor thinks she has outstayed her welcome. Philip says she has nowhere else to go – he’s going to ask her to stay. As for Nicole – they’ll let the lawyers sort it out. Victor wants an explanation – why is Philip supporting Nicole and Chloe against the family.


Brady pub: Ava’s goon continues to watch Max and Stephanie. Outside the pub Chloe meets up with Philip and tells him that Victor kicked her out of the house. Back inside Max and Stephanie are still dancing when the bartender shows up. Max asks the guy to cover for him a while. Pete agrees. Roman and Abe arrive. Abe informs Roman that Bo is missing. So are Hope, Steve and Kayla. He thinks their lives are in danger – they have to find them now.

Philip and Chloe sit at a table. Philip can’t believe this – he wants her to stay. He’ll talk to his father – she’s family and his friend. By the end of tonight she will back in the house. Max and Stephanie decide to go up to Max’s room – the goon watches. Roman asks Abe if he believes that Ava took all four of them – Abe does. Roman doesn’t understand why Ava took Hope if her beef was with Steve. He guesses that Steve found out about Hope and went after her and got caught. Then Bo and Kayla went to find Steve and Hope. Roman wonders how Steve got hooked up with the Vitali family. Abe tells him. Roman says we have to get them out of there fast – his gut is telling him they’re time is about to run out.

In his bedroom – Max turns on some music – he wants to make this special. He lights some candles. They kiss and end up in bed. He tells her they don’t have to do this – Stephanie tells him it feels right – more kisses. She wants them to be together. Max asks her again if she is sure – she tells him to kiss her. Outside the pub Abe and Roman meet up with Bo’s snitch, Earl. He doesn’t really want to talk to them but they push. Abe wants to know the new location of the Vitali compound. Earl gives it to them and Roman pays him off. Abe calls in and gives the location – they’re going in quiet.

Max and Stephanie are now naked under the sheets – Max pulls back. He knows Stephanie – he really knows her – she’s worried about her parents – doing this isn’t going to get her mind off of them. He wants this to be right – he doesn’t want to be selfish. He tells her that for the first time in his life he knows what he wants – he wants her – and that’s worth waiting for. Downstairs Nicole joins Chloe at a table (she’s already changed … LOL!) Where’s Philip? Chloe says he’s with Victor. Nicole tells Chloe that Victor kicked her out; she assumes he did the same to Chloe. He did – Philip is talking to him about that right now. Nicole rants that it’s just not right – Chloe deadpans – he should have at least waited until she tried to kill him again. Nicole agrees – they both laugh. Nicole says if she didn’t know better she’d think they just shared a nice moment. Chloe says it was weird. Nicole says you’ve really changed since I’ve been gone – you have a backbone now – you’re not so disgustingly sweet anymore. Chloe is going to leave. Nicole asks her to sit down, please. She has something to say – she warned Victor but he wouldn’t listen so here goes. There’s something Chloe needs to know.

Max and Stephanie come back down – Max is going back to work. They kiss – Stephanie will hang around for awhile – she heads to the bar where Ava’s goon is sitting. Chloe wants Nicole to tell her what Victor knows. Nicole answers – he knows where Brady is, he always has. At the bar the goon moves next to Stephanie and holds a knife to her side – make a sound and you’re dead.


Vitali compound: Bo, Hope and Kayla are being moved by Angelo and Mikey. Kayla demands to see her husband. Bo is busy loosening the ropes binding his hands. Steve and Ava are in bed kissing when the door opens and Kayla is shoved inside. Kayla pounds on the door – she wants out. What the hell is going on in here? Steve jumps out of bed and puts his pants on – he accuses Ava of planning this. Ava shrugs – she wanted Kayla to see how good they are together. She didn’t think that he’d want to make love to her but now that she knows that he does everything is really … Steve yells he doesn’t. Ava yells at Kayla – she wants her out of there now. Kayla isn’t going anywhere. Steve is now fully dressed – Ava wants him back in bed and starts screaming at Kayla when Steve says no. Steve tells Ava that Kayla is not jealous – they’re not having sex. Ava says ‘making love’. Steve yells – this has nothing to do with love – it’s about her obsession with the past. Ava wanted Kayla to see how good they were together – maybe then she would step aside. Steve tells Ava that what happened to her happened to Kayla too – she lost the love of her life too. Kayla got over the pain – Ava will be too. Ava says when Patch – because it’s been years. She ruined our night and now I’m really angry. In the corridor Bo gets his hands free and knocks out both Mikey and Angelo.

Kayla asks Steve if he heard that. They both go to the door – Steve says it sounded like a fight. In the hallway Bo frees Hope. They both agree they’ve been better and need to get to a hospital. Bo searches Angelo’s pockets for the keys to Ava’s room. Back in the room Ava pulls out a gun – Patch isn’t leaving her. If anyone comes through that door – they’re dead. Bo yells that they’re coming in – Steve jumps and grabs Ava’s hand – the gun goes off (it’s pointed at the ceiling) – Steve slaps Ava and grabs the gun. Bo says let’s go. Steve says they can’t leave yet. Stephanie could be in danger. Ava told him one of her goons is following her – they paid off the guard Steve hired. Bo gives Steve Angelo’s cell phone – Steve calls but the phone goes to voice mail because Stephanie is in bed with Max.

Steve gives the phone to Bo – get some backup and have them put a detail on Stephanie. Steve goes to Ava – she asks him what happened. He tells her they’re going to take a little walk now. Kayla pockets Ava’s pills. One of the outside guards radio’s in to Angelo. Bo points the gun at Angelo and tells him to hand over the walkie. He tells the two goons to get into Ava’s room. Abe and Roman are now on the grounds. Abe radio’s – stand by. Bo calls out and Abe and Roman step out of the bushes. Steve asks if they got the sdetail on Stephanie yet – Roman will check. After Abe checks out how they’re all doing he tells Ava to put her hands behind her back and pulls out his handcuffs. He gives her rights – she stares at Steve. Abe leads her away, Bo and Hope head to an ambulance. Roman tells Steve that the squad car is on its way – they don’t know anything yet. Inside Angelo uses Mikey’s phone to make a call – it’s a go.

DiMera mansion – Part 1: Sami and EJ are coming down the stairs – Sami comments about the trouble they had getting the twins to sleep. EJ says Allie was screaming therefore Johnny couldn’t fall asleep. Sami gets upset – he thinks Johnny is perfect. EJ wants to know where this is coming from; she knows he loves Allie as much as he loves Johnny. Why does she resent it? Sami points out again that Allie is not his child. EJ knows that. Sami wants to go bed – EJ says she can’t. They have work to do. They have to fall in love and they basically only have tonight to do it. They have an immigration hearing tomorrow morning – they have to prove this relationship is real. They will ask some very personal questions. Sami tells him they’ll cram for it in the morning. EJ insists they have to do it now. Sami wants to know what kind of personal questions they’ll ask. EJ tells her and adds they may ask if she has any phobias. Sami says yeah she does – she has this crazy phobia of all things DiMera. She’s going to sleep. EJ stops her – he’s been working his tail off to prove that he’s a valuable, contributing member of society not just a DiMera. She was perfectly willing to help him until this situation with Nicole came up – would she please just help him now.

Sami tells him to ask the questions. EJ tells her to relax – she claims she is – he thinks she’s agitated. Finally she sits down and he starts asking questions. He thinks they’ll probably ask her about his good and bad habits. She says he has a bad habit of making a clicking noise when he’s thinking – he claims he doesn’t. They argue back and forth – Sami tries to make the noise – she really teases him about it. His good habits – that’s a challenge. She thinks of one – he puts the twins down exactly the same way every night. Then he kisses them each on the nose in the exact same way and then he gets this look on his face – it’s like he’s happy and sad at the same time. EJ didn’t think she had noticed that. She tells him she notices a lot of things. EJ tells Sami it’s her turn to ask him questions – she does. He tells her she’s a very good mother but she’s a terrible cook. She talks about the chicken dinner she made the other night – he said he liked it – he reminds her it was a frozen dinner – all she had to do was put it in the microwave. She says if you want to talk about bad habits they can spend all day on his. He has the morals of a groundhog – he’d take any client. She proceeds to insult Nicole. EJ thought they were past this. Sami says they are – she doesn’t hold grudges. EJ thinks they actually know each other pretty well – he thinks it’s a pretty big deal. Not in Sami’s book. EJ says now he has another thing he can tell the immigration officer – he’s wife is a cynic. Sami says no – she’s just realistic. No one is going to believe that they’ve fallen in love no matter how much information they know about each other. EJ asks her if she wants this to work. She does – it’s going to be a piece of cake. EJ doesn’t see how – she just said no one will believe they’re in love. Sami thinks the immigration officers are cynical. They see a lot of marriages – they know better than anyone that most people that are married are not actually in love.


Brady pub – Part 1: Chloe asks Nicole for proof that Victor knows where Brady is. The goon tells Stephanie to put a smile on her face and pick up her things. They’re going to leave the pub. If she tries to alert anyone he’ll kill her. Stephanie does as he asks and they walk out. Max and the bartender return – Max wonders where Stephanie went. Chloe wonders why Victor would tell Nicole that he was hiding Brady. Nicole says he didn’t tell her – she found it on his PC. She hacked in to find out what his assets were. She came across a number of large cheques written to a rehab clinic in Switzerland. She was curious so she hired a private investigator and gave him a detailed description of Brady. She hands overa picture. She can’t figure out why he’s there – he was such a goody two shoes. An addict, that doesn’t sound like our Brady. Chloe says she tried to keep him away from the drugs but couldn’t. She didn’t tell anyone because Brady was ashamed of his addiction. Victor and Philip approach – Victor says like hell. She didn’t tell anyone because Brady got hooked on drugs because of her.

Philip asks what’s going on. Nicole tells him his father, the humanitarian of the year, has had Brady on ice all this time. Chloe asks Victor if he really hired someone to break into their apartment and kidnap Brady. He tells her not to play the victim. Philip wants to know what happened to Brady. Chloe says Brady was sad and lonely – he missed his family and friends in Salem. She introduced him to her friends – a group of bright, artistic people. Victor claims they were all low-life junkies – Chloe exposed Brady to them. Chloe says she tried to help Brady. Victor says her recklessness almost cost Brady his life.

Police station – Part 1: Ava is led into Abe’s office. She looks at the group and smirks – do they have idea what’s going to do down when daddy finds out about this. She looks at Steve and says you know what can happen to somebody when daddy’s angry. Abe gets off the phone and informs Steve and Kayla that Stephanie was in the pub but vanished – Max is out looking for her. Ava smiles. Kayla asks Ava where their daughter is – Ava won’t tell them even if she knew. Steve and Kayla leave to go and look for Stephanie. Abe then informs Hope and Bo that Chelsea landed back in the hospital with a post-op infection. They leave. Ava calls Abe and Roman losers – they’re finished. Her daddy is going to sue them for everything they’ve got. She screams that she wants to speak to her lawyer NOW. Abe and Roman tell her they’ll leave her alone to call her lawyer and then they’ll take her down to booking. Ava calls someone and tells them to call daddy – she needs help. Roman and Abe come back into the room – they’re offering her a chance to make a preliminary statement before they take her to booking. Ava’s not saying anything to anyone but Patch – bring him in. Abe says they can’t do that. Ava tells him not to lie. She wants Patch – she needs him. He’ll explain everything to them. Roman says – one more chance to make a statement. Ava starts yelling – why don’t they get it. She loves Patch – he’s the love of her life. She needs him. They would be together right now if it wasn’t for that lying bitch pretending to be Kayla. Roman tells her to calm down. She smiles and giggles – it would have been better if they had all died except for Patch – she needs Patch. He’s the love of her life. Abe tells her to calm down. Ava says calm down – I’m in hell here. I’ve done nothing but suffer pain and humiliation since he left me. Do you know what that feels like? Do you know what it’s like to wait and wait for someone to come back and then when they finally do it just blows up in your face again. The pain is so much worse – she didn’t think that was possible but it is. Abe tells her she’s a young woman – she has a future. Ava says she doesn’t have a future without Patch. There’s nothing without him. Only this darkness and emptiness and nothing. She starts having a seizure and drops to the floor.


Hospital – Part 1: Chelsea is returned to her room. She asks Daniel about all the tests. He tells her he’s sorry – he just had to make sure. Bo and Hope arrive – Chelsea’s better now that they are here. When asked about her shoulder Hope says it’s an old injury. Daniel informs them that Chelsea has developed an infection. They’re taking care of it but it’s not completely gone. Chelsea tells her Dad that the best thing she did with her life was save his. Bo says he was right about this – he knew this operation was a bad idea. The situation she’s in now is because of him. Chelsea says she couldn’t have lived with herself knowing she could have saved his life and didn’t. Hope wants to know how bad the infection is. Daniel says it’s not life threatening – she’s responding to the antibiotics. Bo wants to know if Chelsea is going to be okay. Daniel says she’ll definitely survive this but there’s also some bad news. Daniel says the infection has done some damage –extensible and irreversible damage.


Brady pub – Part 2: Steve and Kayla come in and question the bartender. He tells them Max went after Stephanie – she had left her cell phone upstairs. Steve makes a call to Abe – put out an APB on Stephanie. Chloe says there’s no way in hell he’s putting Brady’s addiction on her. She rants that he let the Austrian authorities think she was responsible for Brady’s disappearance – he could have cleared her name but no, he wanted everyone to hate her. She loves her husband with all her heart – she’s been sick to death with worry – he could have put her fears to rest. She calls him a heartless bastard. Nicole thinks this is fun. Philip wants to know why Victor didn’t tell him. Victor didn’t want him to have to keep this secret and he wanted this vile woman to pay for the physical and emotional agony she inflicted on his grandson. He tells Chloe to get out of his sight. Chloe tells him to never play god with her husband again and calls him an evil son of a bitch. Philip takes Chloe out. Nicole says don’t say I didn’t warn you – I told you I had something on you. Victor replies and now you don’t. You can get out of my sight too. She leaves.


Abandoned warehouse: Stephanie is dragged into a warehouse. Max calls her name – Stephanie yells for him to help her. The goon holds the knife to Stephanie’s throat and warns Max not to come closer – he’ll kill her. Max doesn’t think so – if he had wanted Stephanie dead he would have killed her already. He won’t kill his hostage. The cops are already on their way – he’s going down for kidnapping and attempted murder. The best thing to do is put the knife down and let Stephanie go. The goon doesn’t so Stephanie kicks him and runs to Max. The guy waves his knife around but takes off when he hears the sirens. Max is giving one cop a description of the assailant as another cop drags the goon over – is this the guy. Stephanie says yes. The cop says they’ll need them at the police station to get their statements. Steve and Kayla show up – hugs are exchanged. Max and Stephanie tell them what happened. Max wants to know if this had to do with that crazy woman from Steve’s past. Steve says they should all be able to rest a little easier now – Ava is in custody and they’re raiding the compound where they were held right now. At least half of the Vitali’s should be in jail soon. Stephanie asks Kayla how the baby is – Kayla lets her feel the baby kick. Steve thanks Max for taking care of his baby girl.


Brady pub – Part 3: Steve, Kayla, Max and Stephanie come in. Stephanie wants to know exactly what happened while they were held hostage. Kayla pictures Ava and Steve in bed and says believe me, you don’t want to know. Steve says lets just focus on the fact that they’re all back together and safe. The ladies decide to have tea, the guys a shot of ‘Irish’ and beer. Steve sees Victor and tells him that Bo and Hope are in the hospital. They’re fine – Bo is a little weak and Hope took a bullet to the shoulder – nothing serous though thankfully. Victor assumes this had to do with the Vitali’s – he told Bo not to get involved with them. Steve says if Bo and Hope hadn’t done what they did his family could be pretty messed up right now. He’s grateful. Victor thanks him for telling him and leaves.

Steve tells Max they’ll never be able to thank him enough. Max says compared to what happened to them … Kayla just wants to put it behind them. Steve says they can’t exactly let their guard down just yet. Ava’s father is still around. Stephanie asks if he thinks Ava’s father will come after them. Steve doesn’t – he just wants them to be cautious. Let the police handle it – they should have arrested a big chunk of the family by now. Max thinks the FBI will probably get involved. Steve agrees – they’ll be interested in what those thugs have to say. He says they’ll be fine – he didn’t mean to worry her. He’s just trying to keep them all safe. He then tells Stephanie their number one job right now is to take care of Mama and the newest Johnson.


Hospital – Part 2: Bo wants to know what kind of damage. Before Daniel can say anything they hear screaming in the hallway. Bo and Hope go and check it out – Ava is strapped to a gurney screaming for them to let her go. Bo asks Roman what happened – he tells them. They’re going to put her under police surveillance – suicide watch. Ava sees Hope and says you – this is all your fault. It’s because of you. Roman asks if Ava had any episodes like this when they were with him. Hope answers – not this extreme. Roman tells the staff to put Ava in her room – he has to go and take care of paper work. He leaves and Victor arrives. He tells them the next time they go up against the mob let him help. Bo says right now they’re concerned about Chelsea. Apparently there’s been some damage – the three of them go into Chelsea’s room. Daniel tells them there’s been scarring because of the infection – mainly in the pelvic area. The fallopian tubes were affected – he’s sorry but as a result of the infection she’ll never be able to have children.


DiMera mansion – Part 2: EJ asks Sami if she wants this to be a failure. She doesn’t – she wants Johnny to grow up with his father. He asks her if she wants things to go back to the way they were before – living in separate apartments, joint custody. She does – she doesn’t want to live anywhere near him let alone in the same house. Has there ever been any confusion about that? EJ says no confusion – he’s beginning to see things very clearly. He tells her she’s transparent and she’s obvious – completely incapable of hiding her true feelings so he doesn’t really care what she thinks. He’s had enough of this – goodnight. Sami says he wasn’t listening to her – that wasn’t what she said. He yells goodnight Samantha. She can’t believe he’s doing this – he’s just giving up? Give her a break. She can do anything she puts her mind to – she doesn’t believe in giving up and she thought he felt the same way. She thinks they should try again. Nicole walks in – try what again. She tells EJ if he’s having problems – she’s happy to help. Sami and Nicole exchange a few barbs. Sami wants Nicole to leave – Nicole says not until she confers with her lawyer. Sami turns to EJ – now you see why I didn’t want you to take her as a client. Nicole says there seems to be a development in her divorce – could be a problem. EJ asks her what happened. She says Victor kicked her out of the house so she spilled a big juicy secret that Victor’s been keeping. Sami wants to know what the secret is. Nicole will tell them if Sami fixes her a martini. Sami says she can have her drink if she tells them what the secret is. Nicole says Brady Black is alive and well and living in Switzerland recovering from a nasty drug addiction.


Police station – Part 2: Chloe and Philip walk into Abe’s office. Chloe needs him to help her get her passport back – she wants to leave for Europe right away. Abe thinks the Austrian consulate might have something to say about that. Philip says not when they hear what happened. Chloe wants to press charges against Victor.


Preview: Abe to Paul Hollingsworth (Morgan is with him) – We agree to drop the pending charges … Roman – If you finger John Black for the graft. John to Victor – You played God with my son. That’s another mistake Mr. Kiriakis. Lexie to Daniel – Are you saying that you are becoming emotionally involved with Chelsea?

Brady pub – Part 1: Sami and EJ are in the pub – Sami isn’t sure Nicole was telling the truth but she can’t figure out what Nicole would gain by lying. EJ suggests that they go over the questions they might be asked at the hearing. Sami is surprised he knows her favourite perfume. He asks her ‘boxers or briefs’ – a wife should know that. Sami asks him how would she know. He reminds her of the time they were trapped in the sauna – they had to strip. She was 9 months pregnant – she didn’t see anything. He teases her – she finally says blue boxers with some kind of monogram. John and Marlena walk in and Sami tells them the news about Brady being alive – they know where he is. Victor enters and asks what the excitement is all about. Marlena tells him Brady has been found. Sami scoffs – tell him something he doesn’t know. Marlena and Sami both let Victor know they aren’t happy – why didn’t he tell them – was this about revenge against Chloe. Victor blames Chloe for Brady’s addiction – she deserved to suffer. Marlena says what about us – did we deserve to suffer. John puts in his three cents worth – it wasn’t Victor’s place to do this. Victor says he loves his grandson and would do anything for him. John claims that he is Brady’s father – he should have made the call. Victor asks – why does John care – Brady is just another picture in a photo album to him. John tells Victor that he played God with his son – another mistake that he’s made.


Police station – Part 1: Philip thanks Abe for talking to the Austrian consulate – Chloe is on her way to reunite with her husband. Philip gets a call – Abe talks to Roman about the Vitali case. They have some time – Daddy’s yacht is docked in the Amalfi port with a ‘Do Not Disturb’ flag flying. Roman asks Philip what he’s doing there. Philip wants to make sure that Chloe can’t bring charges against his dad. Abe answers that Brady has refused to testify against Victor – there’s nothing they can charge Victor with. Philip is happy.


Hospital: Bo is not happy about the situation and says so in no uncertain terms. Dr Dan lectures him on his attitude. Bo is not happy and isn’t shy about letting the doctor know about it. Chelsea defends saint Dr. Dan. Dr. Dan talks to Lexie – he tries to make himself sound like the noble professional – he’s too emotionally involved to be professional – he’ll resign from the case. Oh yeah – nothing says ‘professional’ like resigning as the doctor of record just so you get into the patient’s pants. The scenes between Hope and Chelsea are very good – kudos to both Rachel and Kristian.


Brady pub – Part 2: Philip enters while Victor and John are having their stare-down. Philip wants to talk to Victor – at first Victor tells him he’s busy but Philip insists. Philip and Victor go to the bar – Philip informs his father that he was at the police station making sure that Chloe couldn’t bring charges against him. Victor didn’t see how she could – it’s not a crime to protect one’s grandson. Philip points out that Victor let the Austrian authorities believe that Chloe was responsible for Brady’s disappearance. Chloe was scared to death that she would have to spend the rest of her life in prison. Victor again states that Chloe is responsible for Brady’s addiction. Philip tells his father that Brady made the choice to take drugs – not Chloe. Victor then says that Brady didn’t want anyone to know about his addiction. He respected that. Victor can tell from Philip’s reaction that Philip doesn’t feel respected – he didn’t tell him so that Philip wouldn’t have to keep the secret. He reminds Philip of the times he helped him out. He mentions Bo and Chelsea – his love knows no bounds. Philip thinks that is the problem – Victor doesn’t know how to set boundaries. Victor states that when it comes to family there are boundaries – he hoped Philip would feel the same way. John gets a call – he has to go to the police station – they have some questions for him. Philip overhears this. Marlena goes with John. Philip tells his father – they think it’s about Paul’s case. Philip is going to the station – Victor is too – Philip says he’ll take care of this on his own.


Police station – Part 2: Roman tells Morgan it’s not necessary for her to be there. She thinks they want her to leave so they use rubber hoses and such to get her father to admit to something he didn’t do. Abe politely tells her they haven’t used rubber hoses and bright lights for a long time. He asks Paul if he wants to call his attorney. Paul says his attorney charges $500 an hour – he doesn’t need him – he didn’t commit any crime. Abe says they have enough to put him away for a long time. Paul wants to see the evidence. Roman then brings Homeland Security into it – they’re very interested in the materials he has cleared through customs. They tell Paul that they’ve discussed this with the Feds – they’re prepared to offer him a deal. They’ll drop all charges if he fingers John Black for graft.

John arrives and greets Paul. He tells Roman and Abe that Mr. Hollingsworth is very good at his job – DiMera Shipping is pleased with the way their shipments were handled. If the Kiriakis shipments didn’t get through there must have been something wrong. Abe asks him if he offered Paul money as an incentive to hold up the Kiriakis shipments. John declares – that would be bribery. Philip walks in – he’s there to see to the interests of Kiriakis shipping. John accuses Philip of being the one that dropped the dime on Paul. Philip asks him if he’s admitting that Paul is his patsy. Abe and Roman tell Philip to let them take care of this. John lies – he and Paul are just two honest guys trying to make a living. Marlena stands by silently as her husband lies. Paul informs John that he was told the police have solid evidence. They offered to let him walk if he flipped on John. John demands to see the evidence. No response from Abe and Roman. Paul didn’t think they had anything – he walks out. Morgan goes to Philip and lectures him for going after her father. John is about to leave when he sees the name on the door and then Roman’s nameplate – he zones out. He almost loses his balance – Marlena asks him if he remembered something. He denies that he did. He suggests that Roman Brady stop wasting the taxpayers money – don’t they have some real criminals to go after.

Philip tells Morgan her father is guilty and if he’s telling her otherwise he’s lying to her. Morgan puts it all on John – John’s a powerful man. Philip tells her that’s not an excuse. His father is a powerful man too and he’s done unethical things. Philip has had to learn how to deal with that side of his father. He tells Morgan that if her father doesn’t know right from wrong than he’s just a spineless jerk. Morgan gets in the last word and flounces out.


Brady pub – Part 3: EJ reminds Sami that she is the one that told him she never gives up. He suggests that he should tell her how much he loves her. He takes her hand and says I love you – she starts laughing. EJ gives up … LOL! Outside the pub Marlena questions John again about what happened at the police station. She knows that something there triggered a memory – she tells him he used to work there. He thanks her for the stroll down memory lane – he needs a drink. John walks in to the pub and heads straight to the bar. Marlena tells Sami that John is starting to get his memory back. Marlena is on the phone with Brady. She hands the phone to John – he doesn’t want to talk to him. Marlena tells him his son needs to hear his voice. John talks. After he’s done Marlena asks him if the sound of Brady’s voice brought back any memories. John tells her it was like talking to a stranger. Marlena tells Sami that maybe talking to Brady didn’t bring back any memories but what happened at the police station gives her hope.
