Bangs....................

Hmmmm, no one has posted in this forum for quite a while, so I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread.
I've been growing out my bangs for almost a year, and it's been trying at best. WHen you're not used to seeing that forehead(for 41 years) it's difficult to get used to.
At this time, my bangs are curling just below the chin. I still vasolate(sp) as to whether or not I should cut them back in. ( actually wondering if the 'elvis' forehead is making me look older and meaner, lol) My husband says it looks better.
So, how is everyone else doing with thier growing out? Have you cut them back in, or are you totally "going for it" so to speak?
There, now there is a new thread in this forum, lol.

Bangs

September 14 2007, 2:55 PM

Hello I've been growing my bangs for over 9 months now and they are past my chin. I have had bangs all my life (33 years). I wanted to see if I would look different without bangs. So after growing them for so long I decided I liked not having hair in my face all the time but I too felt that I looked too severe or mean without them. I also have a high forehead so I felt everyone noticed it too. So after giving it alot of thought I decided a couple weeks ago to cut some bangs back in. So half my bangs are down past my chin and half are around eye length. I'm still debating about cutting the rest but I have to say that I'll always be a bangs girl.

Mine are

to my shoulders now, they would be even longer than that-but I cut them back to chin length a couple of times as I felt I looked too severe with all my hair pulled back in an updo and no bangs/fringe/face-framing something.
I actually had them to collar-bone length once and they did boost up the pony circumference of my fine ,thin ponytail a little. I don't have a high forehead-but I do have a squarish jawline/face- and I always felt that a wispy bang/fringe softened my look a little, especially when I have my hair up. As mentioned above- it is sure nice not to have to style them or mess with them(mine won't lay flat-wavy hair) but just have them all fit nicely in an updo. But I'm getting the urge to cut them in again- or at least go to a chin length type side swept bang or something.
