Response to Re: WIU

We as a program are striving for success. As the club President, I can say no student drank alcohol on the charter bus. This setback from non students is practically crippling the growth and progress of the organization. Let's look at the facts though... I should not have let the coaches have a few beers.
The Athletic Director at the very beginning of the year said the school will NOT put the coaches under a contract. So when it comes to things like this, If the grown man wants to have a beer he is going to have a beer. But it is still a university event. There should not be alcohol on the bus at any point in time.
The club is participating in many community service events and other volunteering events in a plea to get the season back on track. (If) Next season is eligible for WIU we are going to do things differently. We are working on re-structuring the organization from the ground up to keep the club's forward progress. We apologize for the inconveniences we have caused. We hope to be competitive and orderly for seasons to come.

This forum has been created with the purpose to constructively discuss college club hockey. We encourage you to freely discuss any topic you wish, with the caveat that you keep the discourse within the bounds of good taste. While good natured trash-talking is fun, thought provoking and acceptable, any replies that turn personal, disrespectful and/or disruptive of the intent of this forum will be deleted by the moderators of this forum. Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition. Best of luck to ALL teams! Regards, Jpower79
