I think you guys are too hard on MSU coaching. It takes time to change the culture of an organization and expectations. As the players involved in an organization change from AA and HS to AAA and Jr. A, much more is possible in terms of what can be expected, demanded, and achieved. While your observations are totally accurate and insightful, your timeline is off. Give MSU another year or two to continue to evolve. They are repeat champs of MACHA Gold, a very good accomplishment. Especially this year, they dominated. They need to play Michigan teams frequently next season. As they play a tougher national schedule their players will recognize that they have to push to the levels you describe and will be more adaptable to meeting the demands at practice.
Let's remember that the ACHA Central Region dominates at Nationals, so struggling here in the midwest has to be understood in that context.

Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition.
Best of luck to ALL teams!
