What would be the barriers to adding a 3rd division to the MACHA? It seems that the MACHA is pretty crowded. I realize though that it is a good problem to have compared to team wanting to leave but just for thought, it could look something like the following.
Gold
Mizzou
ISU
SIUE
Iowa
Missouri State
NIU
SLU
Loyola
Kansas
Eastern
Illinois
Silver
Mckendree
Missouri State
RMU Peoria
Bradley
Iowa
Iowa State
Northwestern
Marquette
Plateville
RMU-White
Nebraska
Purdue
Dordt
This turns the Silver Division into a pretty competitive D3 league in my opinion.
"Bronze" ?
Augie
Western
RMU-Springfield
SIUE D3
RMU Black
Lewis
NIU D3
ISU D3
Kansas
Wheaton
I have no intentions of disrespecting the teams that would be put into the "bronze" division, but I just feel that as a player you want to have a shot at winning something at the end of the year. This gives every team in every division a chance at that. It's tough for teams like SIUE D3, NIU D3 or ISU D3 to put a team in both gold and silver that can win it because the top talent (usually) is going to be up with gold. |
