Robert Morris had a goal in the 3rd to tie the game 4-4 and it was called off due to the refs stupidity... Hopefully there will be a better game tomorrow because this one was awful.

A better game in Springfield with Robert Morris? You have got to be a dreamer. They are a joke, a goon squad. Just review every one of their games. It is a joke every weekend.

Mankato is a good team. Missouri State was slow out of the box, and Minn. St. Mankato took advantage of that. It was 3-0 then Missouri State tied it with 13:35 left in the game. Ice Bears had a barrage of shots but the Mavericks goalie Ben Luth played fantastic. Hats off to the only team to beat Missouri State at home this year.

Has anyone else noticed that the guys from WSR always have an excuse for why the ICEBEARS lost. Can't you just admit they got beat by a better team and the ICEBEARS won friday night because Mankato had dead legs from the long bus ride.

Congrats he broadcasts hockey.... But yet he still comes on here and runs his mouth about MSU non stop, get over it. The man probably never even played hockey once in his life so he gets a hard on for the icebears.. what a joke lol

Get over it, he comes on here and gives good opinions. I would expect him to biased just like if he were doing your games (whichever team that is, for this purpose we will call you the Anonymous College Trashtalkers) I would expect him to do the same.

When do they ever run their mouth? All I ever see them do is report on the games and provide analysis. Isn't that what sports reporters are souposed to do?

kich, did u play both games or just the one? cu's a good team.
and don't knock WSR. we all wish we had guys on our side announcing games like they do... of course they're going to be biased... they're springfield guys. get over that!

They go beyond opinions sometimes though. Sometimes they seem like they are just ignorant of the facts in Missouri State's favor. I guess its what to expect though, they are MSU guys.
How many posts did MSU have in the loss?

Let's break this down. Cause frankly I don't see any bias in this post. It would appear to be an evaluation of the game by someone who saw it and it appears to be very fair.
His very first statement was "Mankato is a good team." He didn't say they got lucky and stole a game.
Next he said that "Missouri State was slow out of the box, and Minn. St. Mankato took advantage of that." He supported that fact by saying "It was 3-0" If they then cam back and tied it I think that supports the fact that they were slow to get going. " then Missouri State tied it with 13:35 left in the game."
He then gave credit to some great goaltending. And gives congratulations for doing something no other team has done. (Including the writer of the previous reply!)
"Ice Bears had a barrage of shots but the Mavericks goalie Ben Luth played fantastic. Hats off to the only team to beat Missouri State at home this year."

I played in Game 1 vs. Colorado (7-4 L), and in Game 2 vs. Denver (3-2 OT W). Colorado is a good team without a doubt, but just like every other team they have their weaknesses. We were just in need of a couple key saves in game 1 to get the W.
Regarding WSR, everyone has the right to an opinion, biased or not. They provide input from a game from which they saw and put it on here so we, people who may or may not have been at the game, can talk about it. Whether they've played a minute in the NHL or have only scored a goal in street hockey is irrelevant. As long as they understand the game, which they do, that alone is worthy enough make them a credible source. Enough with the WSR bashing.

Thanks all for the talk about us. We are thick skinned and can take the criticisim whether good, bad, or indifferent.
As for Kich: I took what he said ("What happened WSR?") as an inquiry not bashing.
As for who "He" is, it's Steve who is "WSR". Dan is "Dan" on here.
As to if "He" played hockey before: Yes, I have skated for 20+ years, played for CSUF for 3 years and was a practice goalie for the Los Angeles Kings when I worked in Media relations for the team and the NHL from 1985 to 1999.
As for being "homers", "biased" or "ignorant of the facts in Missouri State's favor": yes, it may sound like we are, but if you sit through a game and listen, we give credit where credit is due, as we have all year. Any "home team" announcer would lean toward the team they cover as would a fan who has a favorite NHL team.
As for what we do: We love bringing you the game on radio and internet and on Live TV this year. We are always open to anything you have to say. Have we ever been nasty to anyone on here?? Never.
Good luck to all teams this year.
By the way....we will reveal our Round #2 ranking predictions Friday afternoon during the 1st period intermission of the Missouri State/Missouri game.

Big Ups to the guys at WSR. You guys do a great job every night.
and Blues rock.
As far as MSU hockey goes, 23 consecutive games without a loss. Ummm what other team has done that this year?
Now, I'm not one to trash talk online like some facebook fistacuffer, but SIUE played worse than some of the 7 year old kids I beat at bubble hockey at East Alton ice rink.
Come get some,
Love,
#23
P.S> how many more coaches does SIUE need? Really?
and who won Little Muddy this year?
*Dictated but not read, Brian Moseley

You have got to love how gracious a winner MSU is when they finally put together the type of year that every year they claim they will have. Still lots of hockey to be played this year but let's just send the banners to Springfield since they seem to think they have already wrapped up the championship.
Evidently the bump in the road last week with the Gold teams loss to unranked Mankato and the Silvers team loss to SIUE didn't send a message that you still need to play the games.

If your team was winning like Missouri State is, you'd stick up for your team the same way. No member of the team has professed to have a "championship team"...."no one is going to rock our ride"....."we're the best" attitude. It's always been one game at a time.
Quit confusing the opinions of fans as the opinions of the players. Except for Moseley, since he did say who he was.

No one knows who anyone is on here, players or fans. People have the right to ASSume it is players just as much as you have the right to ASSume people are jealous. That's what makes this particular board stay intersting.
The MACHA as a whole is improving, and that's what is good to see here. That is what EVERYONE should be proud of. All teams, all fans, all players. Let's see if WE can finally get a team into nationals, and if so, hopefully EVERYONE that is from the MACHA will cheer for them.

Steve - you had once volunteered to post the JV stats on the WSR web-site if someone preovided them. If your still willing they are available at the following link, usually updated once a week. They were updated yesterday so they should be pretty accurate.
This forum has been created with the purpose to constructively discuss college club hockey. We encourage you to freely discuss any topic you wish, with the caveat that you keep the discourse within the bounds of good taste. While good natured trash-talking is fun, thought provoking and acceptable, any replies that turn personal, disrespectful and/or disruptive of the intent of this forum will be deleted by the moderators of this forum.
Our intent is to build up and promote college club hockey and its teams. We need to work together and support each other to make this happen. We already have enough critics of club hockey. Let's do our best to keep things amiable on this forum, as not to give them any ammunition.
Best of luck to ALL teams!
